My patience are great, I am here to stay. Just curious how it all works, that's all.
Here's how it works, simplified: 1. Point miners at Kano 2. Dance 3. Profit

Hey, so I've left minerwarez a contact on their website asking them to come here to do some damage control. Who knows if they want to keep their virtual doors open and continue to do business in the space, but it never hurts to ask.
I would suggest each of you go to their website and fill out the contact form and ask them to come here to engage with their customers and make an attempt at damage control.

Has anybody from the December Batch been able to talk to them? I dont recommend them HORRIBLE customer support Guys, you pay for a product listed in USD. Its clear that the nominal BTC value changes - most of these Crypto payment providers even transform the Cryptos directly into the dollar amount at the time of payment.
If they paid in BTC they should get a refund in BTC, THE SAME DAMN AMOUNT. You are defending something ABSURD. I wonder if things were the other way around would they give him MORE bitcoin to repay the amount in USD? i doubt it very much You guys must be new to mining. This is how things are done: in USD value at the time of purchase is your refund amount. Sorry to hear about all the troubles you guys are having...

I’m thinking about joining Kano pool. I started out mining recently at BTC.com but have recently learned that they are more concerned with themselves than the crypto community. Can anybody with experience tell me what to expect differently switching to Kano? Currently I get some BTC every minute or so it seems like and then get the payout at 6pm every night with a little extra from transaction fees. I’m just curious what to expect from Kano. I’ll only have about 20th to bring to the pool for now until I get some more mining funds and can buy a few more miners.
You need two things here at Kano pool. Patience and a decent pair of dance shoes. If you can summon up some patience and stick out your ramp-up time you will have higher payouts than anywhere else. You will also experience a very active pool community and a very responvie pool operator. Did someone say dance?

gl man. Yeah I have mine in a shop, separate building than my home. Its small, only 120 sf with a 9' ceiling on a 4/12 pitch for a total volume of around 1000 cubic ft. I started leaving the window open a little but noticed that if it got too cold they lag. let me know if you want any other infoz When you say shop, do you have central air out there or are you running a portable A/C or no A/C at all in the summer? I am building a shed to house my miners, currently only 4 S9's but plan to add on as profits allow. I am planning on running an exhaust fan to the shed and boxing in the hot side , while running a portable AC unit with 10000 BTU cooling. This should allow me to keep the shed cool even on the hottest summer days. Not sure what your setup is looking like but I am all about any input other users have on mistakes they may have made in the past or things they wish they had done differently.
I built this shop especially for mining though it has more purpose than just mining including storage and a work bench, etc, with the consideration of a great deal of heat being generated. It is an "open building" in that I constructed it, and when I build the roof system I opted to ommit the 2x6 rafter blocks and went with 2x4 so there is an open air gap at the top of the roof pitch. This is a flat roof, btw. so considering the rise of heated thermal air, a constant cycle of air is produced. I have no HVAC quipment, just a 3d printer on the desk running sometimes. my miners are on shelving that built at about 6'. So far, I am very pleased with the design. It doesn't get too hot (yet), though if it does its resolved simply by cracking the window. If I'm not mistaken, I read that anything sub-100 deg. C is A. O. K. Mine are thriving in their custom lava submersion tank. lol kk alright, first of all I'm sorry. I'm not sure wtf I was thinking. Those temperature numbers I talked about are crazy. Nevermind that, I wasn't looking at my terminal. I am now. My temps average around 38 deg Celsius, though at times it may spike to 42. smh sorry about that!

wouldn't worry too much about what you see on your S9s...that's been doctored by Biteme in BMminer. I would focus on the errors shown on the Kano Workers page and then only to verify that it is close or lower than the Invalids shown at the top of each Kano page.
I do notice that too cold is bad.
For reference what are we calling "Too cold". Less than 70? Less than 60? I still have no idea where everyone else's system runs. Lately my 4 s9's have been enjoying the cold snowy air in Arkansas and the spread ranges from 62c chip temp to 77c chip temp at the moment.
My best hash rate is right around 80-83 degrees. Anything less than 75 and they're losing 20% of the hashrate. They seem happy to chill around 80-82 degrees with fans around 4500 to 5400 rpm That's interesting....Mine are in the 59 to 61 range. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I need to monitor carefully because during the day we have a window open and the high cfm fan sucks a lot of heat out. In the evening, we lock it down and the room runs warmer. I've noticed my hash seems to do better in the top right corner of Kano when I monitor it from home (windows shut). I will be doing a little recon into this now and collecting some data. Thanks for the info, I'll see if it holds true over here. gl man. Yeah I have mine in a shop, separate building than my home. Guys, is this even ok..? https://imgur.com/a/4d69DSo many HW errors within 36 hours. Never seen it at this much before. You can also see my miner is jumping between different stratums of Kano. Is my miner too cold..? Could a faaaaar location of Kano stratum create this..? Am I doing something wrong..? I double checked my connection fyi, it is all ok. I don't think I have any power issues.....I'm running 2400 watt PSU with breakout board (I think that's what it is, I'm still green) to run 2 miners at a time. They A6 is rated at 1080 watts each. Something is up and it's interesting and annoying. https://imgur.com/a/gFFL5[/quote] I have two 1300 watt EVGA power supplies for each 741 with no issues. I don't think you can scratch a power issue off the list of possible causes.

My avalons don't seem very consistent. I'm running 11 A6's and my shift graph has huge spikes of high and low and inconsistency. My S7's are almost dead on though. I've even ran the A6's through 3 separate controllers to see if that would help and nada. Maybe that's how they are supposed to run, I don't know. https://imgur.com/MD1CFHYMy 741's are very consistent. However, once enough time elapses the graphs changes its Y value increments to much smaller units, therefore you'll see what look like larger variations of hash rate although it is fluctuating fractions of a GHS. Have you looked at the image of my shift graph? I was wondering if it was normal, but you can see my S7's at the bottom are very consistent as well. Yes, however your screenshot omits the most important data which is the Y axis value interval. It still shows the average on the right side for comparison of TH/s intervals...... Here is a better pic though to make it easier to read. https://imgur.com/a/24QxZOk yeah, excuse me for that I guess I wasn't looking close enough. Are you certain you've got no power issues? That variation is crazy. CRAY Z. In other news, its been a bit since I've seen any really comitted dancing. Dancing is an important ingredient, here. I can basically guarantee we'll hit a block in the next hour. "basically".

Dying to pick up a couple of 821s to feed into kanopool, but really want to do my buying through minerwarez.com They are being very quiet about the new units and it has me wondering? Other distributors (blokforge etc) are taking pre-orders but minerwarez hasn't even made an announcement. Is this their typical SOP with new products or should I be jumping horses and going with a new provider and putting up with wire transfers and overseas shipping? My gut tells me to be patient but I have limited experience all around, and with them in particular, to go on. My one single order with them went perfect by the way.
Just curious...
minerwarez has fallen off the earth. Avoid them like the plague. wtf? I just got my order fulfilled by them in december. They're the official Canaan distributor, I thought?? besides the slight delay, everything was good. What changed in a month? You're one of the few who got your order in December. Go read the forum thread on them. Yeah, I had no idea. I'm very fortunate.
