Question to anyone with an S9 on Kano Pool: how much reward do you normally get for a block? Looking back over the history of the pool, it has gone up to 8 days without finding a block. Is the reward on par with the other pools in that timeframe?
A guess but My N Avg=12.05THs   my BTC from that one block was 0.00611453, I am still ramping up started mining on the 31st my s9 will be ramped upon the next block
I have a live CDT (Coin per Day per Th) on the home page of minergain for kano and slush.  These numbers are assuming you are fully ramped up, so it will take a couple weeks of mining before you see these averages.

Name   Week CDT   Month CDT   Quarter CDT   Year CDT
KanoPool   0.00039619   0.00021934   0.00019232   0.00041881
SlushPool   0.00014426   0.00016328   0.00019514   0.00038954

As you can see, all except the quarter values are higher.  The quarter was down because there were two unlucky 800%+ blocks in October.

Not bad. How can we tell when we are finally ramped up? I was assuming that ramping up only took a couple of days, not weeks. Sad

When the red line on the User Shift Reward Performance chart matches your total hashrate you are fully ramped up.  Actually you will be ramped up before then but it's close.  Keep in mind that you don't loose anything while you are ramping up.  The 5Nd protects your payouts when you have equipment outages and it continues to pay you for each block we hit during the 5Nd time frame if you were to leave.

You are assuming the price of Bitcoin is going to stay forever at today's price?

It seems less about the price and more about the difficulty.  If you click on the chart and change it to "coins generated" and look at it over 24 months, it basically shows that you will be generating next to nothing by month 12.

It's been showing that nothing is profitable like that since I started mining with only a hammer and chisel Cheesy

It's all speculation.

Yep.  Or y'all can do like I do and treat it like a hobby.   Golf costs a couple of hundred a month so I figure I can even loose a little occasionally and still be "ahead".  If you want to golf AND mine; well then I can't help you   Smiley

There are 100s of posts asking the same question. If you go back about 25 pages and start reading you will find many case studies. Additionally, if the rewards were not on par with other pools do you think that we would be mining here? There is a reason we do. Unless of course we are morons and that could very well be the case. You can't see the forest through the trees. This is about the average over time. One week to the next has a lot of variance. Over time the variance flattens out and you will see that you will make more here than on pools such as slush and antpoo.

I'm not an expert but I did do some of my own analysis having mined on Kano and Slush. To me the numbers speak for themselves, it's Kano all the way. These are all based on past results but I put my money on Kano moving forward...

Maybe this will help and keep in mind I was calculating based on 3-13.5 Antminer S9's. Minergain.com is also a great source as well.

Many people at the start see the "constant" smaller payouts from slush and can see what they're making.   Only the few, the proud who can see the results on kano not coming in hourly/daily but over time...it's not even close.

Dying to pick up a couple of 821s to feed into kanopool, but really want to do my buying through minerwarez.com   They are being very quiet about the new units and it has me wondering?     Other distributors (blokforge etc) are taking pre-orders but minerwarez hasn't even made an announcement.   Is this their typical SOP with new products or should I be jumping horses and going with a new provider and putting up with wire transfers and overseas shipping?  My gut tells me to be patient but I have limited experience all around, and with them in particular, to go on.   My one single order with them went perfect by the way.

Just curious...

My avalons don't seem very consistent. I'm running 11 A6's and my shift graph has huge spikes of high and low and inconsistency. My S7's are almost dead on though. I've even ran the A6's through 3 separate controllers to see if that would help and nada. Maybe that's how they are supposed to run, I don't know.

My 741's are very consistent. However, once enough time elapses the graphs changes its Y value increments to much smaller units, therefore you'll see what look like larger variations of hash rate although it is fluctuating fractions of a GHS.

Have you looked at the image of my shift graph? I was wondering if it was normal, but you can see my S7's at the bottom are very consistent as well.

Yes, however your screenshot omits the most important data which is the Y axis value interval.

It still shows the average on the right side for comparison of TH/s intervals......
Here is a better pic though to make it easier to read.

Right after the 10/18:00 mark is when I switched the worker settings and controllers around. Worker 1 and 2 are running 4 A6's and worker 5 is running 3. I split them into 3 controllers because as you can see before the switch, they were still all over the place. It didn't seem to help. I assuming it was only because they weren't ramped in or had enough data, but the consistent S7 readings throw that theory out.

Ok yeah, excuse me for that I guess I wasn't looking close enough. Are you certain you've got no power issues? That variation is crazy. CRAY Z.

In other news, its been a bit since I've seen any really comitted dancing. Dancing is an important ingredient, here.

I can basically guarantee we'll hit a block in the next hour. "basically".

So many HW errors within 36 hours. Never seen it at this much before. You can also see my miner is jumping between different stratums of Kano.

Is my miner too cold..? Could a faaaaar location of Kano stratum create this..? Am I doing something wrong..? I double checked my connection fyi, it is all ok.
