It's 9 days.. Yep, To be more specific, Weight begins at 5 days, Min stake is 8.8 days. I have thought about doing a future switch to 5 days, it's minimal increase in inflation. and what's the max stake age? or is there any? 15 Also: Fixed 3 bugs in beta and will put out final release soon, thanks for testing. |

Looking into buying this now its cheap. Whats the min stake time? What is max pos reward? What is max block size without hitting max reward? I just downloaded the wallet and its from June 2013. Can you please post a bootstrap on the op?

Thanks, I will put specs at top of OP for quick reference. PHS has a relatively low PoS reward (50%), and (imo) somewhat low supply (2.3m), so no hard inflation controls at this time, other than minimal fee destruction. The goal is to eventually put some more aggressive controls in, maybe even max reward, or something similar. This will be put up to vote in the future for community to decide. Bootstrap is next to the download on git. |

hey only problem with the beta wallet I just downloaded the latest one it saysWARNING: Checkpoint too old. Wait for blockchain to download or notify developers??? any reason that might be or how to fix it cause I got coins in there I want to start minting Thanks, just let it run until it syncs and it will go away, pm me if not. you don't became rich.. but is still profittable... 16TB here 110watt power consumprtion average 8000 burst / day. at 100 sat 0,008btc... 3$/day at 0,30$ cents/kilowatt 0.8$ power cost.. better 1$ = 2$ is the gain... And how much does it cost to buy those 16 TB HDD along with required hardware like CPU , PSU , RAM , etc ? Not to mention block reward cut every month. At some point (100 sat is a good start), its more profitable to buy instead of mine simply because the same amount of money spend to buy hardware + paying for electricity can get you way more burst than u can ever mine in 6 - 12 months. And if burst were to go 1,000 sat tomorrow , u make way less money mining because u have to mine 6 - 12 months to get the same amount of burst from buying using BTC. one important thing, hardware can be reused, disks to wear off however, but rest , like server machines absolutely reused.. not everything is cryptocoins although some people do think that  Yep Remember, Buying some new SSD to mine burst is business expense! |

Keep up the good work. 50% nominal is totally sustainable to secure the network... And as one can see from a one year chart... PHS is very cheap... and a good candidate to restore former glory. welp The whole time there was compounded interest to sell so that isn't taken into account in this chart. (although if you bought at 55k, ROI might be awhile) I think it actually peaked about 750k cap when bitcoin was at it's highest, the chart is kinda accurate but definitely not 100%. I remember the majority of PHS was bought back at 200sat (me included), so I will not complain here, at 3k, the 55k sat time was insane for all cryptos. I think we will see that one more time, least I hope. I think the flagship sets the overall direction if you compare:  50% stake just doesn't get much attention when u have 5,000, or 10,000! (or higher)  I agree with former and all ears! If the community wants to make some changes just let me know. (although I'm not sure about 5k stake!) PD ps waiting on response form 2 beta testers and will put out new client after results |

So just as an FYI to the new people here wondering why ripple is the second listed on coinmarketcap.  Man must be nice to create $100 million literally out of thin air  Nothing compared to governments who print Billions a day out of thin air. |

I don't think of Ripple as a "coin". It's built more to be a payment gateway.
