Hi, 1. Download philosopherstone-qt.zip 1.6.6.9b https://github.com/philosopherstonecoin/philosopherstone/releases2. optional also download Philosopherstone-Bootstrap_814643.zip How To import from bootstrap:
Make sure PHS is not running. If you have a previous install, Backup wallet.dat or directory: (default) Windows c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/philosopherstone/ Run philosopherstone-qt.exe in the same directory as bootstrap.dat You should see a message saying "Importing bootstrap blockchain Data" on splash screen. If not, you didn't place file in proper directory. PHS will now load from bootstrap file, this process will take 30 minutes to 24+ hours , depending on hardware. The splash may disappear, But, you'll see the icon in your lower right task-bar, just let it run until its done. When done loading bootstrap let PHS catch up with the network, you'll see a green checkmark when done. Enjoy the stake! 3. Unlock wallet when green 4. enjoy stake Looks like Ill update translations

Hey guys, making good progress so far on the development end, will need some help tho... How to help: 1. SEO: Link to these websites on any webpages you have and also post them on any social medias (twitter, FB ,utube, etc), this is for some SEO in the works, any links on web helps! http://philosopherstones.org/ Official PHS website and Explorer http://proofofstakes.com/ < Has the old website and some quick code for PHS stats, will filter in new ppls 2 Social Media, will check what we have and make some if need be. Will be making a Discord shortly. 3. Always keep a wallet running if possible, staking is even better but even locked (or just a empty client running) to feed the network is good. 4. whoever is staking the cryptsy coins can I haz back? BTW Realtime Nodes added, will update on front page , if anyone is still having issues connecting : http://proofofstakes.com/dns.phpalso added real time supply for any websites that need http://proofofstakes.com/supply.php

It's Game, Set and Match.....Palmdetroit is back!!!! The original Dev has come back home....dude....we need you man!!!! Glad to see you're already taking the lead and getting things back on track. This market is getting ready to explode higher in a few weeks and it would be cool if PHS had a ticket on that Train. Glad to see you back Palmdetroit. Just in time. There is also a group on Telegram, join us https://t.me/phscointhanks! yeah I grow tired of mining ETH , think lots more news about PoS tech soon! I will set up a PHS / PoS discord soon!

Thank you! Got old client running but the new client now just crashes... will try deleting my roaming folder
Thanks yeah its 64 bit only and optimized for somewhat newer CPUS, will make a 32 bit alternative. BTW , What is your CPU and OS? Make sure to backup wallet and let me know if it fresh syncs up fine (and finds peers by itself) when you start it and if it runs or you get another crash (with only wallet.dat in roaming folder or no roaming)

Is the wallet broke for windows? Downloaded the strap and it loads but the client just sits afterwards...
Hi, add or create philospherstone.conf in these directories Windows: C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Roaming Nix ~/.Philosopherstone# Philospherstone.conf addnode=86.9.169.81 addnode=82.20.109.111 addnode=207.233.58.100 addnode=108.170.1.134 addnode=107.221.61.137 addnode=12.69.150.34 addnode=108.18.247.132 addnode=87.161.19.65 addnode=88.144.121.207 addnode=86.24.244.100 addnode=86.159.110.65 addnode=76.169.51.184 addnode=70.95.135.215 addnode=73.121.216.227 addnode=47.205.104.84 addnode=47.35.60.75 addnode=67.128.36.90 addnode=75.180.19.174 addnode=24.5.224.146 addnode=109.252.68.35 addnode=188.61.0.151 addnode=86.164.143.192 addnode=97.101.1.189 addnode=76.169.51.184 addnode=23.94.196.219 addnode=126.14.157.120

I brought in Vlads changes and made a new win PHS client testing full sync speeds , might add some optimizations and patches if time permits, good to see PHS still around!
@ Palmdetroit: My hope is to get a single source for all the PHS-wallet versions (WIN, MAC, LINUX X86_64, Raspberry PI...) again. This is easier for new users. Therefore it would be very kind of you if you also bring in the changes (mainly additions) to Vlads fork with added ARM-CPU-compatibility (e.g. Raspberry Pi): https://github.com/toxtox/philosopherstone The added source code is only used by ARM-CPUs and my Raspberry PI is running with v1.6.6.8. for two month without any problems. I can compile a static and portable Raspberry binary for your next release. Good website too! looks like PHS did deliver returns, just frustrating some really shit coins are pretty damn high in valuations, always wanted to see phs $1 +
This is true but, life is not fair But nevertheless there is still a reason to love philosopherstones: These stones are poor but sexy! Just to give you an example: if PHS had the same market cap as MINT-coin (22Mio$), the PHS-price would be even 3,27$!The reason for the low PHS-price is that nobody (except us) knows PHS. oh, PHS compiles with newer openssl versions then 0.9.8!?! [/quote] Yep I saw those wanted to check with vlad, also some commits never got pushed to main phs repo awhile back (before vlad changes), I think >= 5 were missing Agree 600k market cap is quite low. yes openssl newest was no issue windows 64 , newest boost was some issue but got it to work as well as other libs Also I used to have a special client for seed nodes to speed up new syncs, in multiple geo regions, will try to find that code and see what needs to be done. Client needs to be able to find nodes and sync fast for new people. Ran fine it seems without checkpoint node but error messages are never good for new people. took me 20 hours for new full sync this can be made faster

WOW you are back again, after so long time!!! Yeah had a bad time when cryptsy took everything... I brought in Vlads changes and made a new win PHS client testing full sync speeds , might add some optimizations and patches if time permits, good to see PHS still around! Good website too! looks like PHS did deliver returns, just frustrating some really shit coins are pretty damn high in valuations, always wanted to see phs $1 + also, Sent out checkpoints to remove errors on some clients. Fixing main forum post links. updating some code. https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone/commits/master

Low prices are great opportunity to get in, as well to start discution about Philisipher's Stones future. Because staking is the only way to get new coins it's obvious that 50% staking rate is great for now and will be sustainable for few years to come. We can easily grow 50% every year from users base we have now. But at some point in the future it will eventually become unsustainable. And my argument is that we should have sane plan for the future, implemented in the code. Because it's very hard to market Philosopher Stone now when its future is not clear. Whether we would half rewards every 4 years till they become 4 or 2% with compounding and can be easily offset with transaction fees. But in this case the whole amount of money supply would be unpredictable. Or we would half reward when we get 10m, 15m, 17,5m coins etc, to have about 20m coins in the end for easy value comparison with BTC. Or something completely different. But it should be coded into the client, so we could put all these sexy charts of money supply to marketing sites and pdfs. Another question about every POS only coins is "nothing at stake" problem. I have not enough technical knowledge to give well informed opinion about this, and I personally think this problem is exaggerated but for marketing reasons we should give some reassuring solution to this, so this is question to Palmdetroit, what he thinks about, what is the best way to reassure potential PHS byers. And the last question. PHS can store any information as transaction message but only 140 bytes. FlorinCoin was forked later to have more than 500 bytes messages, is it hard to do the same with PHS? I'm PHS fan and web developer who interested in building services that use PHS and not only web wallets but something more interested like twitter like service that use PHS blockchain as a storage, or something like this, but I'm not experience enough to really dig into C code and understand how the client works on the low level, I would prefer to work with phs daemon via rpc.
Hi, Just doing a quick analysis of the chain and currently PHS is growing at a rate of 2,500 PHS per day this current year. One thing that gets overlooked quite often is coin destruction due to lost PHS or destruction due to fees, which works an as offset to runaway inflation. I'ts why we are coming on 3 years and still have such a low total coins than most predicted. As Far as a fork to lessen inflation at certain dates/times, yes this is relatively easy, as well as increasing message size. Hope everyone is enjoying this new found interest in Cryptos, and the prices

block explorer seems broken.
Can we add PHS to presstab.pw site?
http://54.148.124.35:2850/old one but seems to work. I know Presstab was a developer on some PoS coins, I'm guessing same guy? If someone wants to ask him to add it, great. Also if he or another dev is interested in working on the PHS code , as long as community thinks is a trusted developer, I will support, as I would like to see PHS taken further just difficult to find the time atm.

Still working: If anyone has code for the richlist I'm sure we can have the old explorer updated. @ http://explorer.phstones.com/And yes quiet, still awaiting the next big surge in cryptos, will look into the newest patches and improvements at that time.

Is there a prediction to launch a 64 bit linux binary? I'm trying until now to compile the source code in my Linux Mint. I never got an app working through compilation.
You mean to make the PHS wallet work on Linux with a 64-bit machine? If I can be of help in any way; I've just gone through the process... Hi, No, I don't usually release Unix bins, someone else might, however. That reminds me I should put together another Win 64bit one just for future proofing.

In other news, Keeping an eye on the world economy and disturbances, maybe another crytpo rally is in order. Stewie is wise beyond his years. Glad to see you guys still around! Also Coming up on Two years for PHS... long time in cryptos!

OK I managed to move my PHS QT/wallet from Windows to Linux now. In case someone faces the same challenge starting with Linux, here is what I had to do: - Launch the wallet in windows, go to the console, and run the command
- dumpprivkey <PHS public address>
- Do this for every PHS address in the wallet and copy the private key somewhere
- Install Linux QT and sync the blockchain, go to the console, and run the command
- importprivkey <PHS private key>
- Do this for every PHS private key
- Then go to file (main QT window), backup wallet
- For some reason the wallet was saved in the QT folder, not the .Philosopherstone one
- Name the backup wallet.dat and move to .Philosopherstone hidden folder (needs admin permission)
That's it! Enjoy the staking Thanks Sorros, if using Qt you can just export wallet to send all keys to a text file. for pasting or paper. Not recommended for inexperienced users as you can easily lose your balance if not secured. In other news, Keeping an eye on the world economy and disturbances, maybe another crytpo rally is in order.

Sorry if this has been asked but is there a stake limit on a block? or it could be any amount?
NP, there is no limit atm, but this will likely change in the future when inflation is perceived too large. PD Also Hi everyone I'm still putting time in PHS when possible and updated git with some improvements recently, with next batch of work I will put out a new EXE. Thanks.
