41  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: March 28, 2023, 11:08:32 AM
The first thing we should know is that, casinos also follow trends, and since the metaverse and web3 protocols become the order of the day, casino games now going on web3 virtual platforms to give players the best experience that will keep them away from other competitors.
So every casino will want to adopt the new trends to make their platform up to date and to meet players' expectations and desires.
Every casino must keep up with developing technological developments so that to become more advanced they will of course develop their casino to be better for convenience and add to the user experience of playing casino with web3 and metaverse technology, moreover many casinos are currently also very light and easy to access using only a mobile browser.
Of course they'd be going along with the web3 idea due to its popularity and also for marketing strategy. It is also much more convenient if everyone can easily access their platform anywhere and whenever the customer wants. To attract players to their platforms of course they will choose listen to suggestions or review given to them by their users, while some probably disliked it there will be few who will like the feature, but If I were to be asked about development, constantly changing it to ride the trend is also not good for the platform and also for the users. What a casino needs is for players to play comfortably not just for players to try out their new features.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: March 28, 2023, 06:10:19 AM
Being the richest I mentioned is in a literal sense that you don't suddenly start waking up to money in your bank account just because you graduated from school.

Of course, you'll not be wealthy by default just got education. Some education can give you not enough capabilities for earning more, But what we know is that lack of education highly likely will lead to getting much less than educated ones can get and not enough knowledge can lead to simple mistakes could cause big losses. So educating people in finance is really important, at least with basics. And if some didn't get basics of economy at school it will be a good idea even for adults to read even children's books about economy as many make really simple mistakes.
Being a degree holder doesn't guarantee anything. Even if you earn the skills, you still need to compete with someone who earned the same skill as you do, what matters the most is by what makes you different than them and how can you showcase your skills at the same time become an asset and bring something more than what you can offer to the table.

Financial awareness is really important not only for the future but even old people regretted not learning those knowledge at am early age, but as what I noticed from them is that, those knowledge are earned through accumulation of trial and error, faolure after failure along with not wanting to give up by any means.
To have any chance of flourishing, mere expertise falls woefully short. Merely possessing the skillset is futile without adequate self-promotion and differentiating yourself from the mob. Yet, doesn't that very challenge infuse life with exhilaration? To realize what sets you apart from the masses and how best to use it is to taste the thrill of life itself.

Regarding financial literacy, it is a grave oversight that is far too often ignored. Yet, it is crucial for our overall wellness. It is never too late to educate oneself, and the more one is enlightened, the better their prospects in the long haul. But it's not only about accumulating knowledge. It's also about determining how to apply it in a manner that aligns with your objectives. We all have distinct targets and preferences, so it's critical to identify your priorities and act accordingly. My proposal is to take on the challenge, maintain your inquisitiveness, and always keep learning!
This one of the reasons why I don't really believe when someone says education will solve your future problems such as jobs or sometimes they'll say that it at least secure your future career or so. Once you are inside the four corners of the classroom they will teach you the basic ideas of what you are going to do once you set outside, but once you are outside, you'll be met with unfair disadvantages and constant competition. That is why most people will say "it is your own strategy/resourcefulness/cleverness that will help you with your own career in life" of course I'm not saying education is not useless but it only until a certain extent since outside on that competition you are not the only one who has that degree like i've said. Mostly those who graduated with highest honors among their peers will be prioritized since they are expected to be exceptional even outside the learning facility.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 28, 2023, 05:27:43 AM
When some people ask questions about gambling, such as "Can someone can make a living through gambling? I don't like to engage in such conversations because those who doubt that gambling can change someone's life are usually those who have gambled and failed multiple times or those who don't really know gambling strategies.

These people who claimed or live proof that gambling can make a living don't have any obligations to tell us if it's really true or not that they rely on their gambling skills to support their living. I mean, just mind our own business regardless of everything.

We don't even need to know if these people really can keep up with their gambling career to the point that they can consider it now as a primary source of income.

This left me with several questions in my head, such as ' Do religious leaders gamble? Is it right for religious leaders to gamble? Knowing fully well that most of them preach against gambling in their religious places. What is the ethical and moral implications of gambling, particularly in the context of religious practices and beliefs?

Some religious leaders don't need to gamble literally just to gain more funds.

Establishing a religious group is quite profitable in most countries due to its influence.
I certainly agree with that, but still there're people who will change their belief once money is presented on the table just like the OPs example of a pastor winning millions of money. I agree that being on that profession can be profitable but there will always be people who are greedy that still wants more. It is immoral that he shuts down the temple discriminately but maybe he is planning to start a new career using his own money from gambling.

I'm no longer shock what people will do for the sake of money, there're even worse that would commit atrocious crimes just to get their hands on money. This isn't also my first time hearing and seeing religious figures who are obsessed with money.
44  Other / Meta / Re: Indian local Board Issue on: March 28, 2023, 04:07:49 AM
The Pilipinas section has also been inactive for months, possibly due to the accusations of a bitcointalk charity scam against cabalism which led to a lack of activity and merit circulation in our local section.

While there have been a few Filipino members who have expressed their desire for a new merit source, I am still guessing that the administrators are hesitant to appoint one, especially since the application of @crwth is still pending.
I have once visited our local boards the other day and saw that there're only few people who are active on the section and immediately went to the merit source application by out fellow countrymen. I have seen that there is also problems with his application regarding to the lost charity donations that he needs to explain.

Based on this thread , it was made few years ago and up until now he is still pending for application maybe due to the issue or maybe @theymos no longer wanted to add more merit source. IDK which one but it seems that it was the case.

I was wonderin whether Raul is also a private person without traceability since they're offering a service without traceability? Well, enough kidding around i'll just wait and see what they can offer to the users.
47  Other / Archival / Re: Has the forum become more loyal? on: March 27, 2023, 11:42:25 AM
Plagiarism is frowned upon in general and not just on the forum. In academic work, scholarly articles and any writing platform.
Copying and pasting someone else's work with not reference whatsoever to the author is unethical and ignorance of any isolated rule does not excuse it.
I am one who advocates for the newbie welcome message to be implemented to hell new users familiarize with the rules and how the forum works, but you don't need to be informed not to plagiarize others content.

I perfectly understand that this is not only condemned on the forum, just like spam, shilling, trolling, etc. Only the essence is different. The bottom line is that a permanent ban for plagiarism should not be such a strong punitive measure, especially for beginners and those who have done it just 1 time. A welcome post is good, just like the implementation of warnings for such violations.

How did you reach that conclusion?

I myself have seen many such cases.
I've noticed a lot since I first landed here that there will always be people who are too lazy to read the rules and would just immediately post what they have on mind such as one liner posts and also copy pasted from god knows who is the source without giving proper credits. I'm sure without strict rules this forum would be flooded by millions of accounts created with such freedom to do whatever they want to do. I also symphatize with the thought that there should be fair and right judgement whether someone would receive heavy punishment depending on how big their mistake is.

After taking a break in a short period of time i've come to realized that way back years ago due to politics some high profiled members are given a chance to explain why they did such things while those who didn't have enough backers are hanging on the hopes that they wouldn't be banned. Lucky if only they'd receive a red tag but worse would be banned immediately. I've seen similar cases way back.
48  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 06/03/2023 on: March 27, 2023, 06:57:43 AM

Archived here.

This is worth saving not because the numbers are special on their own, but because of how they relate to each other: 1,715 merits for 343 posts makes a perfect 5:1 ratio.

I'm pretty proud of hitting a ratio that high, but I've also noticed that I'm having less and less fun as time goes on, and I think a big part of the problem is that I'm trying a little too hard to maintain "impressive" stats. That strategy did serve me well (it got me into the ChipMixer campaign, even while it was CFNP; very few people have managed to do that), but I think it's time to abandon it. I was sitting in the tub, scrubbing my balls and working through my feelings, and I realized that you're all actually a bunch of wankers (I mean that with love), and I'm not sure who I'm trying to impress? Tongue

So, between that realization and just how butthurt I am over the ChipMixer campaign ending, I think I'm going to stop taking things so seriously and start posting in a more casual way, statistical consequences be damned.
This is really pretty impressive even if you ask anyone! Considering the time and effort you dedicated to reach that height, you have the right to be proud of what you have achieved so far. Us who are not even participants of CM campaign are even sad about the sudden closure. Compared to us who are not that really serious in our accounts, you on the other hand took it to the next level. Now I'm even regretting it not taking it seriously and only have to watch on the sidelines when there're Open signature campaigns since I didn't even reach the minimum requirement, but who is it to blame? It's my own fault for being laid back. Your big contribution is seen on your account based on your merit so you should be more proud of it.

I know that the rule states "minimum of 5 merits". I don't have one right now to be honest. I'm just trying my luck maybe I'll be considered and I'm willing to work hard to meet the expectation.
50  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism vs AI Posting on: March 27, 2023, 04:16:04 AM
I think the what we should prioritize now is to implement new rules regarding AI. We all know that AI generates unplagiarized writings on its own way and of course the main purpose of that is become aid to lessen the number of hours spent on creating from scratch. That is also the reason it can cause negative effects on the forum, since it is now easier to construct posts with the aid of AI generated ideas so all the poster have to do is just search and copy paste it. Of course replying to a post is hard since you still have to manually construct your own reply before posting but creating a topic or making threads are now easier to do. What I usually do is just search for a topic and let AI explain it to me and use it as a reference to create my own post. AI really is a huge help in searching not only because it can create well written posts but also it filters a lot of unnecessary informations to save you time from searching it manually.
51  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 26, 2023, 02:56:38 PM
Well to answer your question is in a pure heart, here forum warned against plagiarism in as much as you are trying to make your post also keep note to only post a reliable material or content because I believe people could used here as a reference site that Carry's a legit information about bitcoin and any other related cryptocurrencies. So it will be ideal you post only a trusted material or content, however it's forbids to copy and paste materials from other site without a reference link or a quote from the original author to show authenticity.

For scammers, everyone are liable for their lost, before dealing with anyone here you should carry out your due diligence to ascertain if such person is trusted or reliable to deal with otherwise forum aren't aware of your business transaction with such person. To be at the safer side it is advisable to use a reputable escrow provider to help secure your funds before going into final deal with such person otherwise you could be scammed and if such happened no admin or mod could be able to rescue you or even restore your stollen funds.
Have a nice day
Indeed! Besides that once you posted something in this forum, not unless the moderators delete that certain post, it will be forever attached to your account. That's mostly the reason why you shouldn't post carelessly and should always keep in mind that just one post can cause an impact on your future healthy account.

When it comes to those scams, it is also true that there are so many reputable escrows you can trust to be a middleman in your transactions. Since then, whenever money is involved there are always be problems when it comes to doing peer to peer transactions, and like always they keep saying here on this forum "you are responsible regarding your own security and investment", and "prevention is better than cure". Those are only few reminders to take note here.
53  Other / Meta / Re: unforgivable evil I did not commit. on: March 26, 2023, 12:47:18 PM
- hilariousandco, thank you for step by step answer you gave to my post. I like the way you made the answers well formatted along with my questions. You said "evil" fee is to avoid people abusing some proxies. But why is the name "evil" used. It should have been an euphemism or to use a word synonymous to evil. I mean the "evil" on its own looks damaging and scary. Imagine coming to a forum and is immediately faced with an evil.

It's certainly the first time I've seen someone worried about this specific terminology but perhaps we could rename them? Naughty points? Mischief tokens? Cursed connection? I don't think you should take the word literally but just that someone has previously abused the connection.
It is noted... I also read this about the evil fee on the internet
Quote
There are instances when a newly registered account may not be able to post due to the reason that the IP address used in registering for the account has evil points. To be able to use the account, the member can opt to pay the necessary amount to lift the restriction. The reason for having an evil IP address is because of having a previously banned account that was linked to it.
Glad to hear you can now freely post and explore here. Just keep in mind those rules and you're good to go. Also don't forget check the other threads recommended on how to earn merits so you'll rank up.

This is why I don't really trust proxies when it comes to registering personal accounts coz usually those who sell share there IPs(specially those you don't know personally) has something on their mind other than sharing the IP. There is also a huge risk that you'd get affected if something will happen to them for example IP ban so best be careful.
54  Other / Meta / Re: Merit questions on: March 26, 2023, 11:51:17 AM
You have been here since 2017 but you do not know about how merit and smerit work? That is funny.
May be, it's not that funny. Life happens. We can go with the flow that OP is the original owner of that account but only went on a hiatus here so as to concentrate on other stuff. Merit system then happened in their absence and took them by storm. Again, that someone has been here longer than you're doesn't mean they know much about the forum than you're. I've come across veteran members in rank who post like rookies. BTW, I know OP has got the response to their question. So, it's pointless adding any more suggestions to them.
Not that I want to start anything but first of, it's not something funny and it's somehow rude.

Though he already got his answers, maybe he just asked because of sudden change of interest. I'm pretty sure he will try to search on his own now trying to explore this forum for his own good.

We are all aware that there is no spoonfeeding on this forum and you guys are tired of the same question being asked over and over again, but it is also not good if we answer them sarcasticly. I even admit that I have so many things I need to learn given that I am kind of the same with the OP and not constantly staying on the forum.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 26, 2023, 10:21:25 AM
With AI it will be more easier to eliminate frauds and set a stronger level of protection because AI is far more capable of doing the intense cross checking and and more complex security checks, it is a load of work for human to do cross checking themselves as the chance of missing a spot is possible due to tiredness or laziness. All these work load can be shifted to AI and leave the investigation cases to humans to fix.

What else do you think a gambling casino can benefit from using AI technology?

I do believe that the integration of AI technology can further strengthen the security features of a gambling website. But there are still some instances where a manual checking with a representative is to be preferred. Relying completely on AI can have its certain drawbacks in which a normal operation of a person handling the business is still superior.

Personally, I would vote that AI be integrated but not on all processes. The technology of AI is still yet to be perfected as of the moment and this can at least apply supplementary rather than mainly.
Artificial Intelligence is differ from Bots, just want you to know that, I doubt that AI can make mistakes vs humans, if chatGPT can be this brilliant I doubt it will make mistakes when it comes to doing some paper works or looking for faults and fraud in a system, humans are likely to make mistakes at work easier because of distractions, stressful day, bad mood etc but AI has no feelings, they do what you ask them to do.

The only possible problem that could occur is the dev launching AI technology that's not been tested aggressively or hasn't passed the normal test with time, this is where some malfunctions may take place.
I have to agree with you. The main purpose of AI is also to aid us and lessen the work, as you guys have said let the human make the final decision while the AI will filter all the possible work that needs to be done. The issue regarding withdrawal delays, shady platforms, and overall technical problem will be resolved immediately once the AI is integrated into the platform.

Though there're so many concerns regarding people losing their jobs because of AI, I don't really think it will effect negatively since those people will only have to focus into something else more productive, and there is a very high chance that along with AI, it will pave another way for new opportunity.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 26, 2023, 08:56:47 AM
There are some messengers of god who also want to try materialistic things such pranks and memes, but it is the first for me to hear such story that a Pastor shut down his own ministry due to gambling. The story about a Pastor gambling alone is already new to me, how much more shutting the whole temple or ministry? and also, based on that story alone it only proves why he wanted to become a pastor. Not only he tarnished the reputation of many other good pastors but also showed us some nasty example.

I have already heard lots of bad deeds about some messengers of god like doing drugs, sexual harassments, abortion and many more. This are only few examples I heard. There was also a breaking news few years ago about a pastor/founder inviting their followers in an investment scheme.
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is your year with bitcoin so far? on: March 25, 2023, 01:46:31 PM
For me, bitcoin has always been a long-term investment, and I don't think about my investment in the short term, what will be in a year or in a few months, but over a period of several years.
Constantly monitoring bitcoin price movements and making decisions based on daily price movements is not a smart strategy.
You have to have a long-term investment strategy and make decisions based on that strategy, not based on daily price movements.
Based on that, I can say that I am very happy with the current state of the crypto market and bitcoin. Everything is going according to plan and according to my wishes  Cheesy
Mine started not that so good, but still I'm optimistic like you've said, I also share the same sentiment as you do since I view bitcoin as a long-term investment. I'm sure this is only the start but I am also positive this coming months will somehow change and will let fate decide for me along with my hard work and effort I'm pretty sure good results will follow.

Regarding strategy, sometimes I often don't follow my original plan but the end results are always the same since I have a clear view on what I really wanted with bitcoin. I don't really have a fix strategy since there can always be changes so I'm trying to be flexible as much as I want and being reasonable in making those decisions.
58  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why are people and things forgotten so soon? on: March 25, 2023, 12:15:57 PM
IMO, no matter what happens life always move forward, and even if we do remember them by specific moments it is also true that we live with those memories. It's not that we forget them but we only learn to live without them. This is also one of the reasons why we have "history", to record the things in order for us not to forget it or for reference in our future decisions, or actions.
59  Other / Meta / Re: Can I merit a banned account? on: March 25, 2023, 11:09:19 AM
It might sound silly but I makes one feel among those that made the history even when the accounts are no longer active.
No, you aren't silly. Exactly the perspective I hold. I wanted to quote that comment from hilariousandco before I saw your apt response to it. I think the relevant thing is the post being merited and not "account". If I see a post that appeals to me, I don't bother going to find out if the account owner is active or not, or banned or not. I just merit it. Banned accounts and inactive accounts share the same peculiarity. Look at those inactive accounts you mentioned and the loads of merits they got because of the relevance and importance of the posts they made.
You have a point. Personally, I don't really mind giving merits as long as it contributes to the topic ans as what you've said it id also relevant, but it is also useless right coz banned accounts as far as I know cannot give merits so it will be a waste. It doesn't changed the fact of course that some if their posts brought contribution in the forum though arguable but that fact alone is enough proof to be acknowledged and be given recognition as a form of merit, so I guess it's not that big of a deal.
60  Other / Meta / Re: Five legendaries you know with the highest posts/merits on: March 25, 2023, 09:06:13 AM
@Lida93 I'm sorry... but I really couldn't understand what the purpose of this topic is.

What do you intend? That people post the 5 legendaries they like the most? Which has more merits? Who are the longest in the forum?

  Huh
I also don't quite get the context of this post, it felt like he wants to call-out all those legendary members and post here to know about their merits and post activity? Or he want's us normal members to provide screenshot to Legendary members we knew that qualified the criteria.
