41  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do we thank paid murders and paid power trippers for their service? and not on: August 05, 2019, 05:31:35 PM
So pretty much what you're saying is: Why should be thank those that put their lives on the line everyday to ensure that you're safe in your home, you're safe in your community, and you're safe from outside invasion (or terror)

While yes, there are some pretty bad people in every profession and when you're in the professions where people are given firearms and have the opportunity to abuse them that's inexcusable. But that's no reason to bash every single one of these people: You don't hate all farmers, teachers, engineers, etc just because there are some people in their profession that are bad people.

Some people are bad, rag on them. Don't put together a whole group of people and call them murders just because they're protecting YOU.

I have to seriously question anyone that joins the police force.  Most of them love the little bit of power they get.  We are all people and should not be bowing down to others playing dress up.   You can't compare this group to farmers and engineers because police is a vastly different animal.
42  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mega Yachts: The Latest Craze For Billionaires on: August 05, 2019, 05:28:21 PM
If I had your money, I could feed every single person on this entire planet for free everyday, I could house every single one of these people, There would be 0 hunger and 0 homeless in this world if I had your money.

Did you think about this at all? With a billion dollars you could maybe make a few billion meals. It wouldn't come anywhere close to feeding the world, and after you blew all of your money on this short-term effort, nothing would fundamentally change. Hunger and homelessness are caused primarily by systemic issues such as lack of a functional free market, not because people are hoarding wealth. In today's world, any person anywhere should be able to produce many times what they need to survive; if they can't, then something is stopping them (eg. culture, government, crime, etc.). Just throwing resources in their direction will do little to nothing; you need to figure out the systemic issues and work to remove them.

For example, in many areas that have been poor forever despite continual aid efforts, there is a culture that if you make any money, you are expected to entirely distribute it among your town, not keep it yourself. Due to this, nobody has an incentive to do more than the absolute minimum. Infrastructure never gets built, and if outsiders build it for them, it's never improved upon. If you want to fix poverty in these areas, you have to work on changing this broken culture. (I don't claim that this is the primary cause of worldwide poverty.)

Billions could buy a lot of farm land and houses for poor people that will seriously help them out of poverty.  They need to have ownership like the wealthy.  Those who own capital get all the wealth as they continually print money to pump up those assets.

It makes me sick when Billionaires have many homes and they sit vacant all year while we have people on the street.  They are too blinded by greed and their stupid because eventually the inequality will get so out of hand that the entire system will break down as people riot.

Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are not kind people, they built their fortunes by extracting as much as they could and they set up their foundations to even have more power.  It is really about power for these type of guys.  After a few million there isn't much you can buy to increase your happiness but the power you can gain from being a billionaire is immense.  Luckily they all end up the same way, in the grave.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 22, 2019, 05:23:41 PM
The Bucks have a new addition in Kyle Korver. It's not a bad move because they really needed outside shooters and he is also a veteran which can help the younger players. I hope he can also pull a Ray Allen move (Heat) and help them win.

I still get goosebumps watching Ray Allen hit that clutch 3 in the finals.  He saved that series and Lebron's legacy.

Korver is a solid piece, one of the most underrated shooters in the NBA, he is getting up there in age and he isn't much of a defender but his shooting % outweighs that.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Dont believe on sale on: July 19, 2019, 07:27:25 PM
If you want a real sale find someone that needs to desperately sell something on craigslist because they need the cash today.  That is how you truly find things at a steep discount without getting ripped off by big box stores.

47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Seize $1.5 Million in FIFA Gambling Crackdown on: July 01, 2019, 02:49:15 AM
Just repeating what a few others have already said, $1.5 millions is a laughable amount.  We are talking about an industry that pulls in tens of billions yearly.  Also I'm sure there was more money but the officials kept some for themselves.  We all know how corrupt authorities are.
48  Other / Meta / Re: CHANGE YOUR EXPIRED EMAIL ADDRESS OR GET HACKED on: July 01, 2019, 02:13:18 AM
My old account from 2014 was hacked because I didn't change its associated email address before it expired. The hacker simply re-registered the email, then used it to change my account password.

How is this possible? You mean a Bitcointalk account here? I thought recovering via email is not possible. Can anyone correct me on this?

What's the name of the account involved? If you can prove ownership then DT can tag the account.

If you have the account e-mail you have complete access to the account.  You can recover the password to your e-mail and the account can only be locked from that e-mail as well.  If someone else has your e-mail might as well kiss your account goodbye.
49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Communism also has capitalism on: June 30, 2019, 09:58:56 PM
Communism requires Capitalism to exist, but not vice versa.

Doesn't Capitalism need police, military, contracts upheld, public infrastructure for the system to work?  Or would you rather have a completely free market where people can kill each other and take anything they want.  Hey its the free market if you can't secure your stuff its mine.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: June 30, 2019, 09:10:46 PM
I'm here because I just don't like scammer. Scammer have to be arrested in prison.

You may like or not the project but as far as i know there are no proof there is any scam. Unless you know something we don't

XRP is a genuine solid project with a future unlike 99% of the crypto out there that are either trash coins or useless coins, or both.

It isn't even a true cryptocurrency though.  It is nothing like bitcoin.  I'm not saying it won't pump again to $3 but I'm not a supporter of what ripple is at its core.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 30, 2019, 09:02:10 PM
Free Agency News/Rumors

1. Durant will be announcing his decision tonight using this IG page. Only known offer is GSW's 5 year 221 million dollar contract so this might be it.
2. D'angelo Russell named Timberwolves as his top destination
3. Kemba Walker to Boston 4 yr/141 million $
4. Kyrie likely headed to BKN with a similar contract to Kemba.
5. Dame Lillard agrees to a four year/ 196 million $ extension with the Blazers.

A lot of deals going around especially when its not even allowed to happen before the start of the free agency. One thing to note that with Kyrie headed to Brooklyn the nets might just renounce Dlo's RFA status so he could move freely to any team he wants.

The amount NBA players make, crazy.  Say your average American makes 50k a year while Lebron makes $50 million a year and that is a low estimate. Lebron makes 1000x that, imagine working one thousand years to make what one person makes in a year.  I understand that this is what the market dictates what is valuable but thinking about how insane it is.
52  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Flag Request] YoBit Exchange on: June 29, 2019, 04:21:32 PM
Guess you don't pick up the comedic angle of the article.  It is rooted in truth that is what makes it sad and funny at the same time.
53  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Flag Request] YoBit Exchange on: June 29, 2019, 03:14:18 AM
Ya I don't really see what they are doing from other exchanges.  Every top exchange on coinmarketcap does wash trading. Hell, even Binance has their own coin which is completely pointless, they could of just operated on trading fees but they wanted that extra money from BNB.  Binance lists a lot of junk projects because they get paid.  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/  so many junk coins and its the top exchange.

Remember when coinbase only had btc, eth, and ltc.  All these exchanges are accepting everything these days.  Guess they have to make money like everyone else.

You can say something bad about every single exchange.   And those binance trading competitions encourage pump and dumps.

Since Binance is the #1 exchange by volume:
https://coinjazeera.news/binance-chain-czs-final-scam/

As quoted above I posted about the #1 exchange by daily volume which is Binance.I can find something scammy about every single exchange.  We have to trade somewhere, all these exchanges have to make money and when money is involved shady things will happen, that is just business.  I have never had an issue using Yobit and withdraws have always been fast.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dont be dumb gamblers on: June 29, 2019, 02:13:45 AM
There's a one simple way to find if the gambling site is legit or not, FEEDBACKS.

Before you try a new or old gambling casino websites it's much better to find first the user reviews of the people who started using it because with this way you just give yourself a stress free mind but of course you must still be vigilant because even user reviews can be fake out.
Feedbacks coming from a real users and not just from the trolls since we know that its easy to have a paid reviews nowadays. Gambling site should be more open for this, and they should publicly listed all the reviews because its important. Don’t be dumb looking for fake reviews, its useless do gambling on trusted sites.

You can never trust reviews, even on the biggest Ecommerce website: Amazon.  So many paid reviews everywhere, it is difficult to trust these companies when so much money is on the line.

...Be grateful for what you have and remember that health will always top wealth in terms of importance.

I understand what you mean and respect that, but don't believe this bullshit that one can live and be happy without money and the only thing that matters is the health or even better love  Wink.

Of course, both are important but try to stay healthy or in good mental condition without money. Try to keep your love when you are broke. Mission impossible I know I was there.

Sometimes I am so angry when I hear this, but luckily in the last few years, I haven't heard it very often.

There are still people living in the world without money, they live off the land with what nature provides. Money is just a way to keep all of us under control, is is their ultimate weapon against us.   If you weren't able to keep your love because of money then it wasn't true love.

Also I know many wealthy people that have committed suicide.
56  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: June 28, 2019, 10:45:55 PM
The most amusing thing about this whole ordeal is that CZ took Bitcoin SV off Binance and now it is ranked #8 and Binance coin is #7,   it is looking like SV will overtake BNBs spot eventually. Smiley
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hospital That Treats Bitcoin Gambling Addicts? on: June 28, 2019, 10:36:21 PM
Trading is definitely just like gambling, you can lose all your money and it is a very risky thing to do especially for beginners.  Throw in high leverage and Bitmex is essentially just a high stakes casino with a different name.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option? on: June 28, 2019, 10:34:01 PM
It is a hassle to wait for a confirmation.  Maybe it isn't an issue on cheap purchases where they can take the risk but if it is a significant amount the merchant will surely want to wait for at least one confirmation.  As we have seen in the past, you either have to wait a very long time or pay a ridiculous fee when the network gets congested.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins daily.. How do they do it? on: June 28, 2019, 10:23:16 PM
Everyone is free to start their own coin just as everyone is free to start their own company.  Anyone seriously considering doing this should know that without a large marketing budget and big community of users you are unlikely to get very far.
60  Other / Archival / Re: My Bitcointalk Forum , Btc Story. on: June 28, 2019, 10:17:13 PM
For every story like yours there are is one where someone lost all their bitcoins or got hacked and ended up losing a fortune.  Be grateful for what you have and remember that health will always top wealth in terms of importance.
