741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello all, I have some USDT but... on: January 29, 2019, 03:20:32 PM
A lot of crypto believe tether is a complete scam and they don't even have enough funds to back up their printed USDT.  If you are afraid of volatility just find a way to hold actual US dollars.  You don't want to be left holding worthless tokens if the whole thing collapses.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with normal games on: January 29, 2019, 03:05:13 PM
I don't like to gamble directly against friends and family unless there is no money involved.  Money can ruin relationships so its better to bet on chores or tasks to be done instead.

It's fun you know. Sometimes I do this with some of my friends, and although I cannot always win from me, we can have fun together while we can do many things. I think when we gamble with our friends, it's not about the money but it's about how we spend the time with them, and I think many people sometimes do this. But it's okay if you don't want to gamble using money instead with your friends and yes, I agree with you that money can ruin relationships.

Actually I forget I did bet money a few times with friends.  Once was when we had a Fifa tournament single elimination 1v1 but the prize was still really low.  It doesn't feel as bad losing money when you know its going to one of your friends as well.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Run for 1 BTC - 60 days betting contest on: January 29, 2019, 02:39:15 PM
Good luck on your goal and I would recommend never going all in on one bet.  At the most do 50% of your total balance so you have another shot to regain your losses in case you lose.
744  Other / Serious discussion / Re: It's just a game! on: January 28, 2019, 08:16:13 PM
Old video games were a lot better, when you purchased the game that was it.  Now developers are purposing leaving out content that must be purchased as DLC.  Even Nintendo has gotten in on this and they are becoming as bad as Microsoft.
745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to secure your wallet from scammer on: January 28, 2019, 07:47:21 PM
If your serious about security your private keys should never be connected to the internet at all.  You should sign all your transactions offline.  You should of mentioned that instead of giving these terrible suggestions.
746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3 Decentralized Exchanges to Consider Using This 2019 on: January 28, 2019, 07:45:57 PM
Unfortunately decentralized exchanges are yet to become popular.  Most people are still using the big guys like Binance, Coinbase, and Bittrex.  These exchanges are starting to implement stricter KYC procedures so it is paramount that decentralized ones start to take off.
747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The first fiat to crypto conversion! on: January 28, 2019, 01:36:54 PM
This has been posted all over the forum already...

Your title is not even true. Binance isn't the first exchange with fiat>>crypto. You just woke up, or you don't know how to see beyond your nose.
Institutional players aren't coming into the crypto market, it's the opposite. Most tokens are overvalued because of people speculating (without knowing in what they're investing in...)

Speculators have brought the price of bitcoin up to insane levels as well.  None of these coins have any real use besides speculation which is fine.  People love to speculate and I'm sure these tokens and altcoins will pump even harder during the next bull run.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Want to be a profitable gambler? on: January 28, 2019, 01:30:07 PM
If your strategy is so successful you should be using your own money, even if it is a small amount you should be able to grow it fast with your winning strategy.  You really don't need customers and to me this just looks really scammy, no offense.

750  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pump and dump discord groups (how to protect yourself & profit) on: January 28, 2019, 12:18:20 AM
These groups are always scams and you will lose money.  Unless you are the owner or someone who got in extremely early you will be the one getting dumped on.  By the time they tell you what coin to buy it will already be too late.
751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On merchants not willing to accept crypto on: January 28, 2019, 12:13:35 AM
I agree with every word you say. People who have earned their bitcoins by toil can be very difficult to part with them and I understand them. We all wish for bitcoin the best, we love it and believe in it. But sometimes you really do not want to part with their funds. So I don't think we should judge these people.

People do not want to spend something that will go up in value, it is why fiat money has a high inflation rate that is stable overtime.  Bitcoin may fail as an everyday currency but it will be the new store of rival being a digital version of gold.  PArt of the reason merchants don't want to accept it right now is because of the volatility.  It's not uncommon for bitcoin to lose 10-20 percent in a few days which makes them scared to accept it without converting instantly to fiat.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will the possible ban on internet gambling in the US affect Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2019, 12:08:52 AM
United States government just wants to ban the casinos that don't pay tax.  They really don't care about the moral ground, they only care about collecting tax revenue.  I'm sure this will boost the use of crypto in the US.

753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2019 the new 2015? on: January 28, 2019, 12:03:31 AM
No I don't think it will compare at all, if anything 2018 was like 2015 and we should be beginning a new bull run anytime now.  Just be patient and good things will come.
754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to pick a trading platform? on: January 27, 2019, 02:56:44 PM
Binance looks to be the most popular exchange among traders.  They have a very large selection of cryptos, low fees, and are considered trustworthy by most of the community.  You can even use Binance coins for lower trading fees.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 27, 2019, 02:47:04 PM
I'm not a fan of the team captains for the all star game.  They should go back to East vs West and let the fans vote for all of the starters.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll🏈🏈 on: January 27, 2019, 02:37:42 PM
Doesn't look like there are too many NFL fans on this forum Huh  I'm not a big fan but I did watch the Chiefs-Patriots and for Tom to get past those three 3rd and longs was CLUTCH.

I guess I'll go with the patriots since Tom Brady has already won five.  Why not make it six titles like Michael Jordan Cheesy

My prediction is 34-27 Patriots win.
757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be A Good Miner on: January 27, 2019, 02:33:44 PM
As others have already posted you will do much better financially if you just buy bitcoin instead of buying hardware.  Profit margins for mining have been shrinking and difficult has kept rising the past year even though the price falls.h
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites offers investment on: January 26, 2019, 05:47:43 PM
A well run casino doesn't need outside investors.  Almost all casinos asking for bitcoin investments end up being a scam.  Since casinos have a good business model they wouldn't need your investment unless they are trying to scam.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: January 26, 2019, 05:34:32 PM
If you don't like the tax laws in your country you can vote with your wallet and move to a different country.  I guess if every country eventually had similar laws you couldn't do much except outright refuse to pay.  I would have no problem paying taxes if the funds weren't used for wars and other evil purposes.
760  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A Bullying experiment on: January 26, 2019, 04:03:14 PM
If there are a lot of people around everyone assumes someone else will be the one to help.  It is a completely different situation if you are alone and you see someone getting attacked, then you have a much stronger obligation to help and studies have shown that.
