61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Reach $500 in 2019? on: June 28, 2019, 10:12:49 PM
Monero won't be anywhere close to $500 this year, it will be a miracle if it even reaches $200.  It is slowly dropping down on the list on Coinmarketcap and even Bitcoin SV is ranked higher now Sad  I still think it is worth buying but I would invest more into altcoins like ethereum instead.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can MyEtherWallet save USDT? on: June 28, 2019, 10:06:20 PM
I've had tokens that were on my ethereum wallet but they weren't showing up on etherscan or ethplorer.  It is nothing to worry about, the tokens are still on the blockchain and on your address.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: June 28, 2019, 09:43:11 PM
Also don't forget about all the lost bitcoins.  The circulating supply listed isn't an accurate indicator of how many bitcoins are out there being used by people.  It really doesn't take much to move the market compared to something like gold which has a marketcap in the trillions.

Will Ethereum drop below $240 again do you believe?
If you are wishing it to drop at $240 then forget about it since it will require a bearish trend again to attain that. If you are planning to buy ETH, you should have bought it before during the bearish trend. We are now in a bullish trend and it will take a while before Ethereum starts to pullback again to that price. Just embrace the bullishness this month and the upcoming months of bull run.

Newbies only want to buy when they see green.  If you want to be a successful investor you should be buying when there is blood in the streets.  Don't worry though, more firesales will happen after the next big crash after this upcoming bubble.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 28, 2019, 09:25:44 PM
What happened to monero? Why did he drop so much in value?

It did not drop. It just keep want to have $100 Monero party, so tries to stay there. Almost a stable coin. 6 weeks almost same.

All jokes aside, it is very concerning how low the bitcoin ratio dropped on Monero.  I thought I was getting a good deal at .011 BTC.  I'm going to hold like always but I'm less confident on the recovery this time around.

Also why do people refer to crypto coins as he/him.  Should be,"why did it drop so much in value" not he....
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin connecting PayPal? on: June 28, 2019, 09:13:10 PM
Not sure why you even think this OP, paypal wants nothing to do with bitcoin.  Also if you have a dispute in regards to a crypto transaction you will never win it.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 28, 2019, 08:07:03 PM
If they get Kawhi the championship is a lock for the Lakers.  The superteams never end Shocked

Lebron is the king of the NBA and it shows in the ratings, NBA wants to do everything they can to make the Lakers and Lebron successful.  It is always about the money.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Found Satoshi Nakamoto on: June 28, 2019, 08:01:47 PM
Why this scammer haven't been banned yet?

Don't think he is scamming, OP is just trolling for fun.  I'm sure some people on this forum know who Satoshi actually is but they are keeping it a secret.

He has over $10 billion worth of bitcoin. Grin

No one will throw out randomly on their coins into something which isn't even clear.

0.04 BTC
Current bid $378.24

0.0039 BTC
Current bid $36.88

We don't even know on what we are bidding on here.

Rich people will and that amount is nothing to them.  It is like a penny to a normal person.  The allure of mystery items is strong.  People buy mystery boxes on ebay and people often choose the unknown prize on game shows instead of taking the safe bet.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎾🏆 Wimbledon 2019 - Discussion Thread 🏆🎾 on: June 28, 2019, 07:48:41 PM
Jesus, Federer is still going? Surely he's gotta be close to 40 now?

Looking through the top 10, seems like practically all of the top Tennis players are in their thirties now, strange compared to other sports like boxing, sprint and soccer where players peak in the late 20s.

That being said, Djokovic is a beast, my money is on him.

Federer is 37 years young to be exact.

It's because there's no young prospect to come out and test those old veterans that's why Nadal, Federer and Djoker is still in the top 10. If Murray didn't get injured last year, I'm sure he is still in the hunt for the top stop in tennis.

As far as Wimbledon, I still go with Roger here, he has the momentum going after winning the Halle Tournament last week.

Advances in health and training has allowed athletes to stay at a top level longer than ever.  Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic have been dominant for such a long time, I would like to see some more parity.  Seems like it is always those 3 winning majors.

Doubt Nadal will win, he is a master on clay but not so much on grass.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are you sure alt season coming on: June 28, 2019, 07:40:10 PM
I am not 100% sure about alt season will come , as per past trends that happened. but we can not guarantee and crypto market condition. it always fluctuate. i have invested on ziliqa , now very bad performing. its great project even-though

what about your thoughts

Of course past results don't always mean something will repeat but it gives us a good idea about what will happen in the future. As for Ziliqa, I don't know much about it but I see it is very low on the list on coingecko.  Honestly many altcoins will completely die out because they don't serve a real purpose but the top ones will come back stronger in my opinion.

Wow, shocker!!!.......

Don't believe anything these big companies tell you, they are all playing ball with the government and you better believe anything you ever send, type, or do on anything google related will be stored permanently.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is slow in price? on: June 28, 2019, 05:51:16 PM
I think that the ethereal is very much affected by someone, or it is so reflected in the growth of Bitcoin.  Because before that the ethereum was repeating the bitcoin growth trajectory.  Now the situation is changing.
there will be a pump for ethereum itself, be patient. this is like what happened at the BNB and LTC this year. we will see ethereum flying.

I'm sure ethereum will be back trading in the .075-.1 range again, just have to be patient.  As volatile as bitcoin is, it is considered to be stable to how wild altcoins are swinging in price.  While btc only fell 80% or so alts fell over 90% which means they will pump harder than btc this time.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to invest my $1300 USD? on: June 28, 2019, 05:46:01 PM
I could have recommend Bitcoin but it is currently overbought now and you might have missed out at the right time to buy in February this year! However,  we still have some altcoins that are still going to do very well in some months to come especially when Bitcoin will make a correction from the recent gained and people started to flip altcoins. Coins such as neo, wave, xem, stellar, and ado are some of the coins that are currently undervalued and you will make good profits if there start to grow.

I always recommend putting most of your money into btc but altcoins have dropped to very low prices vs btc.  It may be worth putting the majority of funds into top altcoins right now and convert them into btc once the btc ratios go up to previous highs.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy into them building parallel systems to circumvent crypto immutability on: June 28, 2019, 05:38:03 PM
^ Basically what beats said, only a small percentage of people care about these types of principles.  Majority just want to make money and trust their security with banks and other government institutions.

When you spend a lot of time you get this warped sense of reality and start to think that all your fellow group members is what represent the majority when nothing could be farther from the truth.
77  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Black Markets Show How Socialists Can't Overturn Economic Laws" on: June 28, 2019, 05:30:27 PM
America is the worst of both worlds, has all the negatives of capitalism with the side benefit of not even being a totally free market, it is very restrictive to anyone in poverty because everything needs a license, degree, or some type of certification which requires money and keeps people poor.

there's a different word for that, it's called: __________

(i.e. US and the west are NOT particularly capitalist at all)

My attitude is that socialism can work; on a VERY small scale. Your house. Because you can trust the people you live with to subsidise each other, the practical reality is you have little choice. And if even that goes awry, the impact is contained and small. As soon as you expand the scope of socialism, the exact same parasites that we have abusing an ostensibly capitalist system will commandeer positions of power, simply look at how that happened everywhere socialism is attempted.

But it sounds like you need to have it proven to you before you abandon the concept. There's already a problem; if you're using Bitcoin, you're already a capitalist, as you own individualistic capital. Why didn't you split all your BTC with your comrades? You could do it like this: open a multi-sig wallet, where a majority of the holders is the spending threshold. Why aren't you doing it? It's because you're not a socialist, however else you're deluding yourself.

There is a major difference when someone doesn't even have their basic needs met and all those billionaires, that amount of wealth quite frankly is disgusting.

Every system has its flaws and socialist countries (northern europe) are always at the top of the list of the happiness ranking.  I know the study may be kind of skewed but it looks legit.  Even just a system where everyone has their basic needs met will go a long way.
78  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universal Basic Income on: June 28, 2019, 05:24:42 PM
The wealthiest people do the least amount of work.  We don't have a system that rewards you fairly or else we wouldn't have factory workers slaving away all day with no savings.  I get a really uneasy feeling when CEOs make 1000x more than their employees.

Capital is king and that is the main issue, people get wealth from ownership and not work.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand risk in crypto on: June 28, 2019, 05:20:22 PM
i am wondering whether anybody is going to buy what you are selling them here which is your guesswork. specially now that in less than 2 weeks  you have a terrible track record of always predicting the wrong thing.

That is why it is usually best to do the opposite of what everyone is telling you to do.  Like when the complete newbs that don't understand technology start to buy bitcoin that is when you know its time to sell.  When you see bitcoin all over mainstream news telling you to buy, its time to sell.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in anonymous cryptocurrencies on: June 28, 2019, 05:08:32 PM
Monero is the number one privacy coin but it has taken a steep decline vs bitcoin.  There is a lot of FUD being spread about XMR right now, I don't believe it for a second but I would still be very careful buying in right now because I think it can drop a lot more.
