41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding Value ( sports betting) on: September 02, 2024, 03:39:00 PM
Imho you are going to need luck to to find them. And honestly, i don't think which would give better outcome, finding one and betting on it, or betting on random, because it's not like bookies are right all the time and wrong team can win, even if that other team had better odds in your view.

No, you don’t rely on luck to find it; you rely on your skills. If you don’t have those skills yet, you can develop them. What separates us from professional gamblers is that they are skilled at developing their abilities. Even with the smallest advantage, they’ll take it, so we need to think that way if we want to be successful in sports betting. Finding value is always the key, and you can do that by analyzing the market, looking for certain matches that are overvalued or undervalued, and then betting on the team you think will win based on the available odds.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Americans Spend More Money Betting On Sports Than Investing In Stocks" on: September 02, 2024, 05:09:55 AM
Americans Spend More Money Betting On Sports Than Investing In Stocks Well that interesting story. this based on my perception but I think its is because investing stock is hard for some people I mean not all know technology and how to register a broker account and invest in stock is kinda expensive with low instant return haha.
Gambling is easy and if you get lucky enough you can double your money in a second.
I’m sure it’s not about a lack of knowledge about technology since most gambling nowadays is done online, so one has to know how to operate online by creating an account at a sportsbook in order to gamble. It’s just that not everyone has the mindset that investment is necessary to improve life. They are satisfied with their job, and that’s it. They’re also having fun with sports betting, so for them, that’s already a balanced life and work.

I think he is pertaining to stock market when he said the lack of knowledge which I agree since broker website sometimes too complicated due to a lot of terms and other trading technicality. Crypto exchange is much simpler than a broker website not to mention that the withdrawal process on broker usually take 2 to 3 business days to process.

On the other hand, creating an account on sportsbook is much easier since you just need to sign up and deposit using cards to top up balance. The convenience of sportsbook is probably the main factor why it’s more popular than investing on stocks that is much complicated.

But if someone is interested, they can learn, so I don’t think that’s the reason; it’s more about a lack of interest. Investing doesn’t guarantee profit, and if it does, it would be over a long process. Having a job, being able to pay the bills, and sending their children to school—many people are content with that. They might try sports betting because it’s fun, as long as the money used is within their budget. In short, they just want a simple life, as investing can be quite complicated.

44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a team or player on which you keep losing bets no matter what? on: September 01, 2024, 10:14:24 AM
After all, for me betting at sportsbooks has many choices, and I can't just focus on just one team or one player, because every moment certainly has a chance for us to succeed in getting a win for the choices and or bets we make.

You'll easily lose if you keep doing that, and you'll limit the fun in sports betting since your team doesn't play all the time. Focus on the league, not a specific team. That's the advice of the experts because if you focus on the league, you'll get to know the teams and can study every match they present to bettors. Betting on your team no matter what is not a strategy that will keep you profitable, as it only means you're using your emotions in your judgment instead of your mind. Where's the analysis in using your emotions?
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: September 01, 2024, 08:00:19 AM
So for TJ he is deserving of this contract extension and with that, we hope that the Pacers will have a good run just like what they did last season. Very hard working team but the experience they got from last year could be good enough to push them better for this season.

He deserves the contract as he has been very loyal to the team, and in the last playoffs, he showed his great contribution. He is now a veteran, and the team has improved. Next season will be another chance to try, and hopefully, none of their star players will get injured. Although they have their young main player, I like this team because they have been able to utilize their players effectively. The management of minutes is quite impressive, giving them an advantage in the end since they are not so tired.

48  Economy / Gambling / Re: Telegram betting agent - best odds on market on: August 18, 2024, 10:15:48 PM
Unfortunately, the experience that many of the players and normal people have through Telegram is that they scam a lot, therefore sometimes it is difficult to trust casinos that are developed within Telegram, yes, I defend that they have a lot of privacy, it is a very good way so that no type of activity is tracked, but I still think that a casino in the Telegram environment is not very good, or at least people do not trust it much, me neither, I am not a big believer in these casinos.

We are well aware of the risks since we're involved in crypto, and Telegram is known to be a hub for scammers. This means we need to be very cautious about who we deal with, especially given the amount of money we're risking in our search for alternative ways to gamble. While this might be acceptable for some who can't access betting websites and have no other option but to use Telegram, as I mentioned, the amounts should be relatively small, something we can afford to lose in case we get scammed. Even if these platforms develop a good reputation, the fact that we have no recourse if they turn into a scam is a significant risk. This is why we can't be aggressive with our betting amounts.
49  Economy / Gambling / Re: Warning DWC on 8bet.io , They Recently started limiting withdrawls on: August 18, 2024, 11:27:49 AM
"Weekly Withdrawl Limit" - Image 1  // Support litterally blocked me on telegram There has never been any sort of Weekly withdrawl limits,  nor ANY withdrawl limits since I started playing. Granted it's been 2 or 3 months since I won and tried to cash out, but today I did and this is what happened.
It does look very scammy once withdrawals are limited. It’s understandable if they limit your bets when you’re winning, but limiting withdrawals? That’s not good, as it could demonstrate a casino’s lack of liquidity, which is very concerning. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and spreading awareness. I'm not totally familiar with the casino, so I wouldn’t gamble with them anyway.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: USA 2024 Presidential Election Promotion in Stake.com on: August 18, 2024, 10:50:42 AM
When I visited Stake on 9th of August, I saw it. If you visit Stake, you can clearly see it which you can click to select who tho win. Donald Trump odd was 2.05 at the time, but now the odd increased but with just little added to it.

Things get interesting based on the odds, but I’m still not going to change my prediction that Trump will win another term after a loss. I guess the odds are screaming 'get me,' and I was already fine with 1.50, but now it's over 2.00, so that's some kind of gift for us bettors who believe in his chances. Kamala came into the picture, and we saw this huge change. The question now is, do his odds really reflect his actual chance of winning, or are they just being overvalued due to some hype?

When Harris comes into the picture, the odds for Trump changed a lil bit. And it seems that they are now favouring the side of Harris to be the next president. However, as you said, this will be on the favour of the bettor who is sticking to Trump, getting more than 2x of his initial bet.

Oh yes, there's no one that could stop Trump from winning as he has already gained the sympathy of the people. He won, he lost, and now he will win again. That's just my personal opinion, though, because I'm not a voter in the US. But based on what I've read and analyzed, I believe that Trump is going to win by a huge margin of votes. Social media and everything else are just trying to hype Kamala, but history won't be made yet as the first female president in the US.

52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there really skill in sports betting? on: August 17, 2024, 09:45:34 PM
There is this doubt that have suddenly filled my mind regarding my skills in sports betting.  Most times the games I am sure of end up not working as predicted whereas the ones I play with doubt and fear work out fine. This makes me begin to wonder if there is actually skill in sports betting or it is entirely a game of luck. I understand that knowing events across different sports and leagues can help in the selection, this is what many people interpret as skill, but sometimes despite this knowledge, consistency is still a problem. .
It depends on your belief. If you think this is a game based on skill, you will work to improve your skills. The problem with us is that we aren't realistic with our approach, like starting with a small bankroll and aiming to win big. That doesn't work, as sports betting should be a long-term activity with the goal of being profitable in the end.

It's easier to keep it simple but with a more realistic approach. Start with a decent bankroll so you can also target a decent profit. For example, if you start with $1,000 and end up winning 100% in 3 months, that's only doubling your money. It's easier than starting with $100 and trying to reach $1,000, which requires you to win 10 times your initial amount. You see the difference. This is not just about winning but about how we manage our bankroll, and it's vital since most of us don't think this way.

~~~
Actually, I am not that a tech guy. But I love to be a tech guy. I am trying to learn from the internet, and I have not learned anything special that I can call a technical guy. When we install apps on our devices, we rarely check what permission the app is asking for. Do you know what could be the reason for a camera app asking for your phonebook permission? Is there any other reason except for stealing the information? I am not saying Discord do that, but of course, it will take space in my device, which I don't want.
You don't have to be a technology expert to know and learn technology, no matter who you are.
I always check whatever permissions are requested by every application I install on the device, that's why I sometimes have to uninstall some because it really doesn't make sense to give them permissions including accessing contacts, media, camera and so on. So far I haven't installed many applications other than what I need, in fact some of them I rarely use.
The best approach is prevention if we're unsure. Regarding any social media accounts or applications we use for communication, some might ask to access our contacts and media, but I think it's safe as long as the apps are verified by the Play Store or Google Store. Still, we have to be very careful with that. I'm not really a tech guy as well, but there's no excuse for us not to learn since most things online are free. There's a saying related to the law that goes, 'ignorance of the law excuses no one.' We can apply this here as well, so we don't blame anyone for our mistakes because we're already aware of the risk factors
54  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: August 16, 2024, 11:43:17 PM
I guess you need to be pissed-off with a site to make a claim. To properly evaluate the claim I think you would need to consider the nature of it, the detail that is given, the possible proof in the form of talks with customer service. There are lots of people who are unreasonable in their demands, but if they can substantiate the claim it is perfectly likely that it is legit and you want to take it into account.
Proof is all we need here; otherwise, those members who are ranting about a casino without any real basis should be disregarded. With the intense competition in the gambling industry, you have to consider the possibility that some might resort to dirty tactics to tarnish the reputation of a certain casino. That's why we need to be very careful and not easily believe when we see a member posting a scam accusation because accusations can be made easily, but proving them is much harder.
55  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino reviews on: August 16, 2024, 10:37:14 PM
Online casino reviews:how do you determine their authenticity?
Check the review site and then you can post the name here to get opinions about the authenticity of the review site. However, if you want to make your life easier, I suggest you go directly to this forum and look for casinos that have been running their marketing here. For sure, they also have their ANN thread where you can see more honest and non-biased reviews based on what forum members have posted.
Review can be useful? Maybe yes, but I think ToS and navigating a website could offer better details.
I think what OP wants to know is on how to spot the real reputation of the casino first, then the rest will follow, (including this).
56  Economy / Gambling / Re: Telegram betting agent - best odds on market on: August 16, 2024, 01:21:18 PM
Most people who will be a victim of this kind of business are those who are after for quick money and have very little to no effort of doing their part to at least do a little bit of research. They are after for quick gain, however, they will soon find out that they got screwed by these scammers.
This kind of system is not for everyone. For those of us who have no hindrance in accessing the many online casinos available, we should avoid using Telegram betting. However, for those who are blocked from accessing such platforms by their government, this system might be their best option. That said, it comes with significant risks, so it's crucial to manage those risks effectively. One way to do this is by limiting the wagered amount, just in case the betting agent disappears with your money.
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bcplay - review on: August 16, 2024, 12:23:46 PM
Just checked your site out and the UI looks great and I dig the whole green and black theme which is completely similar to BC.Game's theme. However, your ANN presentation is non-existent which gave me a bad first impression.
Also, you do need to proofread whatever you wrote on the site as @yahoo mentioned since such stuff makes your site look really shady. All the best!
It is very shameful for a project to launched in a hurry especially to an extent where they don't even think of having their self original information than having to copy from BC.game, can this project be actually trusted or can they last for long?
People would be very careful while using this casino or it's already a bad sign of growth to the casino and again when they signed up and see details of bc.game it would give bc.game more exposure because they would want to use it at all time. Since bc.game is the most site people would like to view and sign up.
True, OP has to believe in the saying "first impressions last." The thing is, although the website looks great, if it isn't properly introduced, it won't be able to attract gamblers. OP should at least consider looking at other popular casinos' ANN threads to get an idea, and then maybe think about hiring people to design the ANN thread to make it more appealing.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do bookies allow cashouts?  on: August 15, 2024, 10:11:57 PM
I believe it's a marketing strategy.
The casinos don't really lose much from this because if they do they would have stopped it.
They have already studied it very carefully and wouldn't be adding this if it wasn't profitable. I mean, if we keep using this cash-out option frequently, it will only result in minimizing our wins, but at the same time, it could also lead to frustration if we cash out and then realize we could have won a bigger amount if we hadn’t. Situations like that can affect our gambling session, and we might not be able to concentrate anymore, which could lead to significant losses. So personally, although this option is available with my bookie, I rarely use it because I don't want to be in the position I just described.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the changing value of BTC affect your decision to gamble in crypto casinos? on: August 15, 2024, 09:44:10 PM
When you are gambling, it's better to just focus on winning rather than thinking about the value of Bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you are using, because the value is volatile and it could increase or decrease suddenly. If we were good at predicting when the value will rise, then it might be better to focus on trading, as that could give you a better chance of being profitable.
As for me, if I think I could profit from gambling, I'll make sure to use a stablecoin to ensure that my performance in gambling won't be affected by sudden price movements. It's very frustrating, especially when you are winning but see that the value of your coins is dropping.
Actually, coin-investor is right. Let's take their review for duelbits,  does it look like a genuine review to you? After reading it, do you think it's written by someone who actually tested the casino with real money?
I had some doubts but after making a small research I became more convinced that they copied everything from other review websites. They just changed few words here and there or used a text spinner.
It's a very basic and simple review. It would be more realistic if there were actual user experiences shared, making the review more interesting. It's even too short, more like a summary of the review, which I've mentioned is very generic. If you look at review campaigns from different sites here, you'll notice a significant difference, and I find the reviews in this forum to be more reliable in my opinion.
