41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey agree to talk about bitcoin at an event in July on: July 25, 2021, 12:39:02 PM
Crypto investors gave too much power to Musk and now it's too late. The guy will keep using and abusing the status given to him. That is a very negative point for bitcoin investment, at least on short run, because personally I don't want my investment hostage of an individual. The market should be driven by many different investors' actions and not by a single man's tweets that change opinions every few days.
It is not just the cryptocurrency investors that are dancing to his tune, there were others that started investing because of his influence in the market and in the past month i have seen many testimonials about investors earning millions because they followed the tweets of Elon Musk and there is no doubt he is able to influence the market, will see how long he will be able to do that.

It's clear as crystal Elon plays with his audience. Since the beginning he could have said he would accept bitcoin as payment method in Tesla if sustainable energy used in mining process was superior to 50%. He didn't need to start accepting it, then stop accepting it to finally say he would check the numbers. That is not a professional or responsible behavior. Avoid people like that.
He is playing along and his ultimate motive is to make money and he is doing that, anything he says in the cryptocurrency market i am not taking it seriously.

Not everything happens from statistics all the time. Bangladesh should not be considered weak here at all. You are putting India far ahead, but if you think about 2015, you will understand what Bangladesh was like. The Bangladesh team has the ability to beat any team if they can play with their full potential.
If there is a spinning wicket Bangladesh will own any team that is finding it difficult and then their batsman has to perform well to win the match, if there is a decent total on board then they will always defend them against majority of the teams. India is a much stronger team and if they play a series with their full bench, India is going to win all the time in all the formats.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 24, 2021, 09:00:41 PM
That is not happening in sports betting, maybe the odds will move but you are right, once you put your bet, it will not be amended anymore, unless you allow the bookie to cheat you. Maybe what he was trying to say is just about the "odds movement", and in some websites, they have a feature that you can cash out your bet even before the fight.
It is possible in every sports book which has a cash out setup right, whenever you place a bet months before the event and when the odds change in favor of you it is possible to withdraw them but most of the time you wont be seeing any major swings before the match, but these swings happen in the fight game before the weigh ins or if there is an update about any injury news.

I have seen some sparring sessions online of Manny Pacquiao and he looks faster but only during the fight we will know his condition.

Not every casino is successful because its also a business where only few can shine while others are going to fall in the long run, when we talk about a new casino then they should concentrate on increasing the gamblers traffic by promotions instead of spending million dollars for jackpot and anyone who has knowledge also will do in that way.
Most basic is the bank balance and if gambling site can promote them really well then they will get the traffic and the cryptocurrency gambling space is still young and anyone can take advantage of the situation and cover the market, Stakes for example is giving away more to their legit users and they are promoting big especially the UFC athletes and now they started promoting Football team as well.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme tokens dangerous or moon on: July 24, 2021, 05:07:07 PM
After some we were expecting a meme trend SHIBA is one of the meme tokens I invested they're but the market does not grow so we have to wait for the next trends.
If you jumped into the SHIBA bandwagon in the beginning then you would have made a huge profit, when i heard about the token the price has actually risen over 1000% in a short period of time and i am not taking any risk to invest in an asset even though the valuation is low to invest when the price rallied like that. I am now looking for the next trend and if i am able to invest before the hype i might take a chance.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many people call Bitcoin "digital gold"? on: July 23, 2021, 05:14:23 PM
~
I disagree slightly. I don't think most people even know the monetary uses of gold, other than it's shiny and it looks good for bracelets, rings, and necklaces. So when you say digital gold, it would make zero sense to most people because you can't physically see nor touch bitcoin.
This is just a marketing pitch that Bitcoin is the digital gold by many and for a normal individual it does not make any sense and all they see is people spending money for bits and bytes and you cannot complain them either and anyone who is involved in the stock market will not understand it either as all they look for is underlying valuation of a business and how they are progressing.

The best part is to not compare these investment markets and then it would be easier for anyone new to understand.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 23, 2021, 02:18:22 PM
Bangladesh lost their first two batsmen by just 17 runs. Now after 8 overs, Bangladesh collected 52 runs. But they lost their main 3 wickets. Despite the excellent performance in all the past matches, the performance of the batsmen in today's match is disgusting. However, we have seen such a poor performance from the Bangladesh team before.
And today Zimbabwe won the match by 23 runs, i thought Bangladesh could win the match but they lost their momentum as Zimbabwe was able to pick wickets at regular interval and i would like to know the odds for Zimbabwe before the match started because i am certain that the odds were big as everyone expected Bangladesh to win the match if they got a good start.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 23, 2021, 01:13:27 PM
The game is now suspended due to rain. In 23 overs, India lost 3 wickets and scored 147 runs. It looks like the rain will save the Sri Lankan team from another defeat. Because, India's run rate is now 6.39, undoubtedly India can collect more than 320 runs. I don't think Sri Lanka will be able to win with more than 300 runs.
The match is continuing and India lost another wicket, India is batting at a good strike rate but loosing wickets at regular interval and as usual Prithvi Shaw started well but he could not convert them to a huge one and Sanju Samson also had a good start but lost his wicket and now Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya is in the crease and hopefully India will be able to post a good total and white wash the series Grin.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme tokens dangerous or moon on: July 21, 2021, 10:24:15 PM
Anyone investing in these real far out "meme tokens" is likely to get severely burned. As we see with Dogecoin, which was an extremely rare exception, even the original creator is calling it worthless trash and advising people against buying it. Dogecoin was around for almost a decade which gave it a very strong base and a lot of the coins were mined before it really got popular. The newer coins have no where near that level of price support - heck Dogecoin even had physical Bitcoins produced because it was such a great novelty. When everyone is trying to copy such an idea then it quickly loses it's appeal to the masses. You're better off sticking with established altcoins than chasing duplicates who are likely only created to make the founders money.
It is all true that even th Dogecoin developers never anticipated this newfound interest in the coin because they were not the reason the coin started getting momentum, it was all Elon Musk who created the momentum in the coin and the developers rushed to upgrade the software because they never bothered to update and anyone investing in the new meme coins is because they expect rallies like these in the future when someone influential helps them achieve their dreams Grin.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC exist without Fiat? on: July 19, 2021, 10:13:54 PM
If bitcoin was to exist without fiat it would have to become the mainstream currency and that is a long way off. I do think we will get there but it will be at least another decade before it becomes the main stream currency. The good news is that some countries have already announced it as legal money which is a step in the right direction.
Lets say that Bitcoin becomes a mainstream currency and billions are transacting it on a daily basis even though it is impossible to have that kind of scaling solutions for Bitcoin right now, lets assume that we can scale like Visa and Master card but what do you do about the high volatility, cryptocurrency market and the fiat market is there to coexist.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is This Chart Bullish or Bearish? on: July 19, 2021, 09:55:26 PM
But how about now?  I mean by now it should be pretty obvious that the down trend has already been invalidated.  And it’s starting to trend back up.

The volume is kinda low and declining but it’s still probably accumulating before another leg up.
It might be accumulation phase, when i saw the market in red for continuous days i expected the market to go down further but still the Bitcoin market is holding up above $30k even though the altcoin market took a huge dive as some of the coin had a correction of above 15% and if you are holding the top coins in the market there is nothing to worry but for new investors who invested listening to the hype might have burned themselves.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 19, 2021, 09:32:02 PM
Sometimes I feel that the Sri Lankan team is sliding to oblivion. Given their recent performances, I don't think that they can remain competitive against the top teams in cricket. Hard to believe that this is the same team that was crowned as the champions two and half decades ago, during the ODI world cup. Back then, they had world class players, such as Sanath Jayasuriya, Muthiah Muralidaran, Aravinda de Silva and Arjuna Ranatunga. While other teams (such as Bangladesh and Afghanistan) are improving their performance, Sri Lanka is perhaps the only test playing nation whose performance has gone down.
There is a strike going on in Sri Lanka between the players and the cricket board and even i was surprised to see a new team and initially i thought all those players are injured but then i came to see a news about the players striking and they are not included in the squad and then two of their players are suspended because they breached the COVID protocol so basically they are playing with a second string team.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 19, 2021, 09:01:38 PM
It's always a right thing to take the best odds if you believe that the fighter you put your bet on will win, no one can see the outcome of the fight in advance, but at least we should be confident with our bet and we should be a real fan so we will have full entertainment while watching the fight.
The expectation we have about the match and our anticipation will force anyone to place a bet especially if you are following the sport and it is difficult to predict who might win on a given day especially in combat sports and if there are huge odds for a fighter and people see value in them they will take that and if more people takes those position then the odds will come down, basically Manny Pacquiao has miles and age and Errol Spence is a young prospect and hence people expect him to use Manny as a launching pad to stardom .
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 19, 2021, 06:47:24 PM
~
Binance coin is burning their coins to keep the price even higher, if Vitalik does that, it could possibly make the rise as well like what happen to BNB price. But I don't think it is a need to reach that point as I was positive that the launch of their upgrade will have good results.
This is somewhat to show that the market is in strong competition but never in mind that ETH will be close to Bitcoin. No matter how ETH  will take, Bitcoin still dominating the market.
You cannot compare Binance coin and Ethereum because BNB is not a novel project all they did is to copy others and continue making a fortune and if Binance is burning the coins they might have created unlimited amount of coins and literally both the coins are premined considerably and what is the point in burning them hoping the value will increase.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 19, 2021, 06:38:12 PM
^^ Atleast Ashwin voluntary opted to play in the county and performed well against Somerset, he ended up with 7 wickets in the match, more importantly he got game practice which was necessary. Other players should have take a cue from the Ashwin especially Bumrah, Rahane, Vihari and Pujara... But NO.
I am watching the youtube channel of Ashwin and he usually updates everything that is revolving around him but i am not sure about how Ashwin could voluntarily opt to play in a county game and what is the selection procedure and not sure why others opted out or whether they will get selected to play for the county. If they opted out then they are in a vacation as they only have a warm up match and the series starts on August 4.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 19, 2021, 04:01:07 PM
I bet Dana wont give him Ferguson. Makhachev called also Dos Anjos, but he wont get him either. I just don't understand why Dana don't give him someone from the real top. Another fight by Makhachev and he stays on the same top9 place. Last did not gave him anything actually (except record and money).
May be Dana White is protecting Tony Ferguson from Islam Makhachev and there is another problem that many top fighters are avoiding Islam Makhachev as everyone knows his strength on the ground.

Islam is a very polite and calm guy. For UFC he seems boring. He needs to do more trash talk probably. Otherwise he will reach title fight only at the end of his career.
I was watching his fights and he is learning English and i heard him calling Brock Lesnar in one of his post fight interview with Joe Rogan and he is a funny person and the reason is because everyone is avoiding him.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: July 19, 2021, 03:13:26 PM
No doubt fighter needs to connect to the right place, but it hurts even through block. Will Jake has enough courage to take punches through blocks or he will stop the fight because it hurts? As a pro athlete, Woodley has a higher pain threshold than Jake.
If Jake Paul is not having a pain threshold he will not be fighting and making money rather he will be making youtube videos and make his living, they are not afraid to get hit and i personally might not fight for money even if anyone would offer me huge money as that is not what i want but they are brave enough to come forward and literally they can humiliate in front of the entire world.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2021, 09:23:36 PM
No doubt that countries will regulate the crypto in the coming years. You might see taxation policies even for the unrealized profits so it doesn't matter that if someone is actively doing transactions or just holding the crypto. The rules and laws are uncertain at this moment but things are going in positive direction for crypto industry.
What do you mean by taxation policies for holding the coins, even now anyone who is making a substantial profit are paying their taxes for the profit earned through cryptocurrency but you are not paying for the coins you are holding and i only pay a tax when i convert my profit to fiat currency and a smart taxation policies will be along those lines rather than asking for anyone holding the coins to file the tax even without converting them to fiat.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 18, 2021, 09:06:01 PM
Ethereum will continue being Bitcoins deputy because  btc has the most liquidity compared to eth! What does this mean, btc  has the ability to move markets far much better than eth which makes it a leader and not a follower, and fyi the two being in different leagues eth would influence most altcoins while btc will influence the entire crypto ecosystem which shows eth doesn't influence btc.
Everyone is expecting a rally in Ethereum on back of the upgrade but i doubt we will be seeing a much bigger rally because anyone planning to stake the coins already invested billions in the market and if there is any special interest from any institutional investment firm to purchase millions or billions worth of coins to stake, then we might see a rally and then i heard about their plans of burning the coins, if that is the case we might see a rally but i am yet to understand all of their upgrades.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 18, 2021, 04:06:51 PM
It is foolish to consider teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka by ranking. They themselves do not know when these teams will perform well against which team. If they perform well in a match against a big team, they will perform so badly in the next 3 matches that we will no longer want to enjoy their match.
In today's match Bangladesh would have scared many wagging a bet for them, i think the odds were not that big for Bangladesh to win but they started loosing wickets and at one point i thought Zimbabwe will win the match and Shakib Al Hasan played one of his best innings in recent times when it mattered and took the team home after giving the Bangladesh fans some scare from the beginning.

India cruising to victory and Arjuna Ranatunga should be hiding for his criticism Cheesy.
