Thank you very much Sumgye

You're very welcome;) Thanks for supporting PinkCoin!

and if so is it bad to stake two coins at once and mine another coin at the same time on the same computer with one video card. thanks

Yeah, need to leave wallet open to stake, but it's super not process heavy. It's not going to hurt your hashrate and it's not going to bother any other coin you're staking at the same time.

You may have to contact Poloniex about this one.

okay thanks!

Yeah, I can confirm that polo actually got the coins in your polo wallet. That's exactly the transaction id you need to give them to sort it out. If you have any problems feel free to post here or pm me and I'll have a word with them. Thanks for letting us know!

i still have mine too
re vive this coin and every body will be more than happy

ps we also have enought of DEV that F..... us

i will keep this coin until the end

Still holding. I will keep mine till the end also. PM me if you'd like to correspond.

Also, some of us should reach out to the WAS team "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661588" to organize a take over..... they've done it before and were quite successful at it.

I don't know. They relaunched it a little over a month ago, and just going by the sell orders on the coin (which nobody is actually buying it at), it's at $9381.42 market cap. I'm not sure I'd call that successful.

I feel your pain guys, I honestly do. I had a small amount of bluechip on bittrex, but completely forgot about it.

But as someone with a lot of experience in relaunching a coin, unless you are really, really passionate about it and have a dream team of clever talent ready to dedicate themselves 100% and invest their own $$ to support the project because they love it, and not because they're trying to make loads of money... don't bother. You're much better off creating a new coin than trying to revive an old one, and even then, I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you can meet all the requisites above.

My advice to you is to find coins with a development team that has shown exactly that kind of selfless dedication and investment into their coin, and take part in their community. There's lots of good coins with great, dedicated devs that work hard and care about the community. Otherwise, keep your eye out for new coins that look promising, and don't hold any coin long term that is supported by a dev you aren't absolutely certain will not abandon the project.

Either way, I don't recommend relaunching this coin, especially if these few words cast doubt in your mind. Make no mistake, it is a phenomenally difficult undertaking. I have the utmost respect for any team that takes up the challenge... but be prepared to fight tooth and nail for every sliver of success, and take care to enjoy the experience of working on the project itself and trying to do something great with it - because that truly is the most rewarding part of it all.

Best wishes.

What I get is that Pay with Pink will be some kind of pre-paid card backed by community funds and somehow it all is attached to Pay-Pal... If you have a Paypal account, and most people, especially vendors, do, why would you want to use Pay with Pink? What's the advantage?

Pay with Pink is focused on the customer; people with Pinkcoin. Vendors, more often than not, want fiat; especially with physical goods.

If you're shopping on-line (looking for Pinkcoin T-Shirts, new Nike shoes, a new camera lens, what have you) you will be able to use your Pinkcoin directly (no need for credit cards, debit Visa's, etc). Pay with Pink does the PC -> BTC conversion, as well as the BTC -> Fiat conversion for you and the vendor (similar to BitPay).
You use your Pinkcoin (hassle free) and the vendor receives their fiat (currently via PayPal, hassle free).

What is in it for the community members that drop their money in PayPal to serve a guarantee, I understand some kind of staking-like? If so, why not just do the staking on the regular wallets? Is there any other advantage?

The reason for the community outreach (sorta speak) is to see if anyone would be interested in helping fuel the Pay with Pink fire.
Because Pay with Pink receives Pinkcoin (incoming) and sends vendors fiat (outgoing) 3 "pools" need to be maintained; Pinkcoin, Bitcoin, and CAD (currently).

One of the major reasons for maintaining these "pools" (as well as why we started Pay with Pink originally) is so that the Pinkcoin developers and community are in control.

Most coins, when they leave the virtual world and enter the "real world", suffer from large sell resistance or dumps. This is because the moment someone buys a 50" flat screen TV (say $5,000), the amount of Pinkcoin received needs to be immediately dumped for BTC, and then immediately dumped again for fiat, to ensure the vendor receives the fiat amount for the purchase.

Maintaining "pools" of these 3 currencies allows a more controlled conversion for both Pinkcoin and Bitcoin. This is where the community can come in.

If I am not mistaken, the current investment strategy is: By helping increase the size of the Bitcoin "pool" (middle ground) initially, and thus allowing Pay with Pink to handle larger transactions sooner than later, investors will receive a percentage (%) of each transaction that occurs.

However, I am going to stop there before I ramble on any further or enter an area I am not fully up-to-speed on.

By the way, no apologies necessary when it comes to questions. We were all born knowing "nothing".

Tranzium is pretty much 100% right on the money here. You don't need a paypal account to pay with pink. You don't need any account, just pinkcoins. PWP will handle all the paypal stuff for you. The idea is to convert the pinkcoin we have and want to use into the fiat that vendors prefer right now, and make the process easy for everyone, all around.

As for the return on investment, the return we're proposing is roughly a third of the surplus pink that accumulates naturally. Basically, when someone pays with pink, their exchange rate is based on the current buy prices for PinkCoin and Bitcoin, but the PWP system slowly and strategically tries to get the best deal it can when it converts its pinkcoin and bitcoin to fiat on the market, and only converts what it needs to. A portion of the leftover coins are distributed to investors.

Obviously if the system happens to make a loss, then future profits will recover past losses before producing new returns. But in a stable, and/or uptrending pinkcoin & bitcoin market, there will be consistent returns. Even in the event that there's a drop, and the system needs to recover... unless the drop continues forever, the system will recover once the market restabilizes and payouts will resume.

Basically you'd be getting a stake of the leftover pinkcoins we get by not just simply dumping them on the market, but instead selling them off carefully and slowly for only the amount necessary to replenish fiat reserves - keeping as many pinkcoins as possible off the market and in the hands of our supporters.

I haven't lost hope but, I'm feeling like the horse is losing steam.  The silence is deafening.

i dont' mind the silence so much as long as everything is working properly. i can get pretty noisy when my stuff isn't working.

i'm not really concerned about the silence of the dev. i mean, he is a member of the cryptocoin revival foundation. what's he going to do, let the coin die and then revive it at a later date? that wouldn't make much sense.

i don't envy the amount of work he must have on his plate in order to get pulse up and running and all the wallets updated.

bring on the pulse!!!

I hear you, but many questions have been asked and issues brought up over the last 3 or 4 weeks by the "community".  Nothing was addressed.   PoS???  Anon???  Ticker Change???  etc...etc...etc...

I get the feeling the devs:
A) want the price to drop so they can accumulate more LOGIC (understandable)
B) have placed this currency on the back burner

We are the early adopters and supporters.  We deserve an update every now an then, even if it's just a "hey, we're still here, no updates but we are working on  ____   ____   ____.

agreed.

If you want updates on pulse, look here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=576714.msg7819309#msg7819309

And if you want to know where the dev is, scroll down.

Yeah. Um. I'd say we got ditched for two weeks. I'm out. Keeping this community at least updated obviously isn't that important.

Sorry, for my uncharacteristically blunt and non-diplomatic stance. But this sucks.

My wallet just crapped out today. It has been working fine since I installed it almost two weeks ago. Today I had to do a hard reset and now it says assertion failed and wont start up. Can anyone here help me out?

try going to %appdata%/pinkcoin - make a copy of wallet.dat and put it somewhere safe. Delete everything in that folder except for pinkcoin.conf and wallet.dat (the backup is just for safety. You should always have a backup of it;))

Then try opening Pinkcoin-Qt again and wait for it to resync. Let me know if it doesn't work.

Just wondering what the explanation is for this screen shot:

Click on it. You'll see someone sending 12.5 generated coins, and 87.5 lgc getting sent to poloniex. Not much to explain.

Guys... I just checked your website. Someone might want to take a look. Says it's suspended.

Edit: Ah, not .info anymore. nvm.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LOGICOIN [LGC] X11 PoW | Android Wallet | Merchant Friendly | No Premine on: July 03, 2014, 10:00:31 AM
So....Turns out I must have done something terrible in a past life to have had so many PC problems the past week. 2 Hard drives, 1 motherboard, 1 PSU and 2 GPU's later I'm back!

Good news is that I was able to retrieve 90% of my data.

So here's the plan. For the past few weeks I have been working with the CRF on a new way to handle transactions and what we have come up with is Pulse.

Read The Whitepaper

What this will mean is that LGC will never experience a stalled blockchain despite rapid changes in difficulty the blockchain will never go longer than 10 minutes (This can be changed) without producing a block and moving the chain forward. It also gives retailers the option to introduce a fee that will in turn have a very good chance of instantly creating a block with that TX which in turn means near instant confirmation of that transaction. If you have ever purchased anything with btc you would know that you can wait a very long time for that first confirm to come through. Pulse solves that problem and we hope it will make us that more attractive as a currency for real life transactions.

The plan is to have a public testnet running by the 5th and then assuming all goes well we will launch Pulse on the mainnet a week or so after that. I also plan on adjusting rewards to make it more profitable for miners. The reward adjustment will be somewhere in the vicinity of double - tripple current rewards.

Some of the finer details of Pulse still need to be worked out (Fee's and time between blocks) which is why we will be running a public testnet and asking for as much cooperation and feedback as possible.

Apologies for my recent 'vacation' but its back to work we go!

Wow. Just. Wow.

Make it STOP

Smiley

Ok, testing was a resounding success. Everything is just getting all sorted out, fixed up, and reset before the real game begins.

I hope we've all taken notes from our beta struggles;D Stuff's gonna get real soon.

Also, fwiw, those of you that did deposit coins instead of just using the free ones we gave you to play with, don't worry. Your coins are safe and sound and returning to you shortly;)

I do understand you! I'm also wondering if it will cahnge soon.

Hope its gonna be the start and not the end.

The community is getting bigger and this coin have some nice potential.

 Grin

We need some innovation, come on dev show some brilliance  Grin

if you've been following this coin from the very beginning, you should realize the developers have a long term plan for this coin.

it's actually quite simple and brilliant.

ask yourself, if you were to develop a coin with no IPO and no pre-mine, how would you as the developer make some coin for yourself?

the answer is quite simple, you release the coin with just a few features in the beginning and then add the really good features later after you've obtained a substantial amount for yourself.

the devs have to get their coins the same way everyone else does, by mining or buying them.

that's great for all of us because this coin is still relatively easy to mine and inexpensive to buy.

i believe the silence regarding upcoming features on the devs part is intentional. i'm sure they want to get as many coins as they can before delivering the big money shot.

so everyone take a deep breathe, be patient and remember this coin isn't even 3 months old yet.

This. I mean, really. Here is a coin that has had active development by a team that has shown they can deliver, android wallet, multibit, website overhaul that's totally sexy, first to implement dgw 3, community support, SUPER fair launch, equal buy opportunity in the marketplace at a steal, listed on polo since the beginning, plus a totally unhyped upcoming 'bomb'. It's never died, never had to relaunch, never had an issue with scammy dev's or pump & dumps.

All this. For a coin with a $12k market cap. Really. There aren't even 4m coins, and this thing is trading under 1k sats.

To the community at large: Logicoin is a sleeping dragon. Buy some up and hold them, you can get them for a song right now. 1k logic wont break anyone's bank if the whole thing somehow does, by some crazy twist of fate, go under. But you're staring a coin dead in the face that has a reasonably good chance of going 20x, and dear heavens, if it just breaks into the top 30 ranking where it belongs - that's 200x.

This is the last fair warning you'll get from me to buy, tucked neatly here inside the official btctalk thread. Everyone here following this coin knows, especially those of us that were there at the beginning, and have seen the progress as it unfolded.

Devs, for what it's worth, you are doing a remarkable job. You could be a lot more active in the thread and with updates for sure. But your work does speak for itself, and for as long as you keep that end of things up, you've really got something here. Just, once you're ready for this thing to blow... Marketing and PR go a long way. The work wont do that on it's own. Not even anon.

https://wars.pink/

We know we can't keep everything positive all the time, so we thought we would make a playground for all the community wars.

This game is very basic in its functionality and usability, but it can get very intense when strategies are developed.

EDIT: You will receive 1,000 PINK when you register.
This is BETA testing, all balances will be set back to the initial deposit in approximately 6 hours; play your hearts out.
Upon the reset, you will keep the 1,000 PINK you began with, plus anything you deposited. And maybe an extra gift will be added, Pinkcoin style.

How it Works.

Log into your account (register if you do not have one) and deposit any amount of PINK into your account.

Place a bid and become the leader of a war.
90% of each bid is added to the bank along with one (1) minute to the timer.
If no other player takes over your leadership position when the timer expires, the bank is all yours.

The first bid will always be rewarded with a 5% bonus, so if no one initiates a war with you, this can be used as a faucet.

At the end of the BETA test in a few hours, accounts will all be reset to 1,000 PINK + Deposits.
Because of people knowing this, the bidding has been pretty Bullish. Bidding when there is a lot of time left, is leaving the war up to "who has the most coins".
Try the patience angle, and see if you can catch it under 10 seconds, that will only leave a window of 1 minute for someone to outbid you.

Lots of strategies will be developed over time, but the most exciting and fun one is byfar the of patient, down to the wire one.

I am sure to be outbid but I'll give it shot just for fun.  Smiley

<edit> Yup.  Roll Eyes  Grin

Doesn't hurt to be the first bid either. If no one else bids, you just made a cool %5.

HUGE, testing out!
can the payout address be bittrex wallet?

You can use any PINK address for withdrawals. Exchanges, wallets, the lottery Wink

You wont be able to easily change the address you sign up with though. So keep that in mind.

i can image the next rounds - it will last forever  Cheesy

If you let it run down to the last few seconds before bidding your competition only has a minute to respond. It's stupid addictive. I stopped playing for the moment, even with it just testing in beta, just because I have work I need to do (!). Once you start, be prepared to stick for a while with the bare essentials nearby. I was on the edge of my seat for the last few seconds on the ones I was a part of.

Damn... that was pretty close!!

Read the thread though. Some people couldn't vote :S Not good with voting so close.

People that are clearly members of the community, like 0wl, SpockSkywalker, Anoxxy, and CountofMonteCrypto, and pretty much all of our twitter following that doesn't frequent btctalk were excluded because of their newbie status on bitcointalk. Even Jyap wouldn't have been able to vote, had he tried.  Our nature of drawing new people into Crypto and PinkCoin kind of bit us on this one I think. And with a 1 vote spread... I don't know. It just isn't fair.

Talking with the other devs about possible solutions. Stay tuned.

Lol, it's true. I follow the thread and I would have voted for keeping "Pinkcoin" but I couldn't vote Sad

Lol. So with my vote it would have been and even poll.

Another is SpockSkywalker, one of our biggest twitter followers that has supported us since the relaunch, before the coin ever got off the ground. He had to make a new account here just so that he could vote, and he was the very first person to respond to the vote.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661681.msg7457796#msg7457796

We had no idea that he couldn't actually vote. He never said anything to us about it. His sentiments about the change are clear though.

27 votes, the majority voted PINK.  Regardless of the margin there will always be those calling foul, post a poll anywhere else you will always be excluding a certain percentage of the potential voting population, post a public poll on the Internet or a BCT poll that allows newbie accounts to vote and it is a free-for-all begging dishonest folk to stuff the ballot.

Fact is a hidden vote poll on BCT with a mandatory account status requirement is likely one of if not the best possible method to present a community vote like this.  Nothing unfair about it.  I would think the same if Pinkcoin had won.

You should follow us on twitter! We have more followers there than here, and practically all of the community development projects have come from there, and they couldn't vote. The guy behind the PinkCards? Nope. Couldn't vote. The guy doing the big promotion in Toronto out of his own pocket? Nope. Couldn't vote. The guy that audited our code for us and verified we were legit? Nope. Couldn't vote.

And they posted about this fact while the vote was still in progress, and there was nothing we could do about it.
