Does bfgminer support these yet?

if oprah turned a small cupcake boutique into an overnight sensation, imagine what she can do with DOGECOIN and her network show THE DIAMOND COLLAR?

this is going to $1 soon,...giddie up doggie
404  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Scalability??? on: February 01, 2014, 03:16:11 PM
How scalable are these? At 2.5 watts/unit, you could put 600 of them on a standard wall socket (110 volts @ 15 amps).

But...

What is the CPU load per unit? Per 10 units? Per 100 units?

What USB throughput is required? To install 100 of these on one USB port, you would need one Hub to plug the 10 hosting hubs. Does USB 2.0 have enough throughput (consolidating hubs)?  I think USB has a maximum of 127 devices per Controller, so 2 levels of hubs should be the max you need.

Does propagation delay (through each hub) affect throughput? How about contention problems (100 units contending for communications).

So, you scale to 100, 7 Mh/s. How about scaling to 600 (assume you have 6 USB ports on your computer)? That would give you a 48 Mh/s for $48,000. The max load on one 15 amp 110 volt circuit (800 for a 20 amp circuit). Could one computer handle the i/o traffic? BTW: What would be the required internet bandwidth for a 50 Mh/s computer? How many USB Controllers (not ports) does a typical computer have? If you need more controllers, you could use PCI-E USB cards.

Note: I have heard that some 10 port USB 2.0 hubs have power problems, can't deliver the full 500ma to each port. Since each dualminer seems to need the full 500ma, it might be better to use a USB 3.0 hub, that can provide 900ma per port. The USB 3.0 hub may allow higher i/o throughput for daisychained setups.

Does CGminer poll each device (how long to poll 600 units), or does it wait for data from each miner?
I remember running something like 60 usb asicminers on older dell dimension using asicminer 49 port hub and some others....that was ok.
Once you got them all running....but hell if you had to reboot or something where you had to restart cgminer....anyway alot of it is trial and error still or R & D if you like...good luck. good questions too.
405  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 01, 2014, 01:49:24 PM
Pieces of crap.  They lasted less than 15 hours before they simply stopped working, stopped being recognized by the computer.  I had active airflow on them at all times, but they never got hot.  The USB sockets that they were plugged into still work perfectly fine for tons of other USB devices.  They are nothing more then paperweights and they don't even do that very well.

Don't waste your money on these, they will die in a day and support is non-existent on the site.

Mine are running fine. Have you tried deleting the Serial Ports in Device Manager?
i figured it might be software too...

those usb asicminers were whacky with winxp, but great on win7

antminer usb is a little more finicky yet....

wonder what these will be like?
406  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: February 01, 2014, 01:37:38 PM
Hello demonmaestro,

From unpaid/canceled orders, is there any quantity still available from Batch #1 ? I am looking to buy 20 units and would reserve these immediately.
Can you confirm when Batch #1 order will be shipped to your buyers ? What about Batch #2 ?

Cheers.
hey pire....i think they ship monday to us buyers.

I know he has 10 from someone backing out in batch 1, and might have like 1-3 after that, but the rest are pretty much paid for.

I don't see him online, but he will be one to give you final answer.

Is it just me, or fast-pool is not paying much?

The coinwarz calculator says I should get 3500 in 24h, and I only got 3000 in 26h.. and I'm making the calculations with 550Mh\s while I have 600\650

Any opinions on this or should I get much pool alternatives?
just be careful, some pool ran off with my bros. dogecoins....

fast-pool seems ok and the hashrate/difficulty for DOGECOIN is climbing....while litecoin's is going down....

scrypt asics only help with power reduction, not overall performance than what a gpu card/rig can do.. Prices nearly match for that amount of kh's anyway. So overall if you want scrypt asics all its benefiting is power reduction.
what about space savings, and cooling savings too?? even hardware saving if you just keep adding hubs and usb sticks, vs. motherboards, psus, cpus memory and expensive GPUs..

All right, I was expecting the last payment to disclose this information. I received funds from three different people:

https://blockchain.info/tx/33fa6ebc1b540822ebaaba5cd30c364c9db76b23777708e0b8d196e4356ec2b4

Total 2.75 BTC.

It is a small amount compared with the amount promised by both brothers, but still very significant regarding the amount of time I spent investigating the case. I am thankful for the reward reward and I must to say at this point that I am sure the brothers were not conspiring with the fraudsters. If they were conspiring, why would the fraudsters return the funds? They, fraudsters and brothers, could pretend the loss really happened and secretly compensate each other. In other words, if both brothers purchase was part of a conspiracy, why would they waste time showing to everyone they had been refunded? They just could stay silent and there would be no reason to reward anyone.

Because if the scammers refund all money...all police investigations would stop...fbi and all would stop because all money was refunded...somebody must have been shitting their pants to return all that money...whose identify was 100% known? Not saying the brothers are involved. But that could be the reason the money was refunded...and if they were involved, and I am not saying that they were...their refunds are not real refunds because they just go from person involved to persons involved. Funds stay all in the conspiracy execpt the 2 minimal orders from Dave and the other fellow..
wow, so I could rob a bank, but if i think i am going to get caught, I can just give it back and all is well??
ok, what if i didn't ROB the bank, but somehow 'fooled' them into giving me the money, can I give it back if i think i am found out and all will be well then? i think if you are a northern european, maybe they slap you around alittle, but anywhere else, PRISON BOUND.

This is not robbing from a bank, this an individual who said he filed FBI complaint, if that individual tells FBI that he got all money back and that it may not have been a scam at all...what do you think the FBI is going to do. Trace bitcoins when there is not real victim because all funds were returned? Do you think the scammers thought that the police was going to continue with this type of investigation when all the funds where returned? Why return anything then. Give me a break.

By the way was is the status of the FBI complaint. Do we have a case number?
fbi number, according to what you just posted there shouldn't be one

Yet NONE of it was reviewed yet by anyone, and the scammers here refunded totally by choice(Rebecca's penis-Jay) so as you know, none of your information actually helped do squat.

OK, I disagree with that. Looking at the information I initially provided it is quite unlikely the fraudsters refunded you only because they felt regretful. I believe the information I provided was refined by The Avenger and he was able to find more consistent evidences than I did. Then he provided you with the refined information at some point. I do not know if you used the information to pressure the fraudsters to return the misappropriate funds, however I am sure that the fraudsters refunded you because:

1. They came across the information I provided in this thread and realized they were about to be caught.
2. They received the refined information from someone and realized they were about to be caught.

Whatever is the option, each one which worked to build the case with consistent evidence deserves a reward. Of course I do not agree that should be the absurd quantity you and your brother promised, but I agree it should be proportional to the work people voluntarily provided to you.
spoken like a true gent....seems like phoenix might have panicked and blurted out some numbers 'THINKING' he was never going to be re-united with his lost BTC.....

Avenger, seems like you and Augusto did some awesome work.....hope to not need your help like that, but glad to know that there are still good guys out there....

Avenger, since you do say its going to charity, I say have Phoenix send that charity whatever amount....think of the charity it helps....

and phoenix, glad you have your coin back.....

scammers BEWARE!

I am back from 1-month plus bitcointalk hiatus that has brought better clarity to my mind...

Now you are back, you might want to contact Cyper:

Talking about scam THIS guy managed to trick a lot of people into using his reseller link and he is the 3rd top KNC reseller: http://reseller.kncminer.com/orders

More info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348743.msg4755253#msg4755253

Fortunate for him KNC changed their policy to only allow change of the reseller info on an order if both the buyer and seller requested it.
Hopefully enough people would complain and he will lose his reseller status and all his awards.

That is called deception.
avenger, he has pm'd me btw, and I am a buyer through his reseller link. I think this shall work out ok.

I wonder since they allow you to change away from the reseller if they would allow you to change an order placed directly at KNC to be credited to a reseller instead??
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoinorama is the real Oracle! on: January 31, 2014, 10:57:51 AM
I am back from 1-month plus bitcointalk hiatus that has brought better clarity to my mind.  I finally found these 2 posts by Alex (Bitcoinorama) that have always be in the back of my mind.  I felt he deserves some much needed and overdue recognition (and perhaps even apologies from doubters HINT HINT Coin____der) for providing such insightful, impartial and downright accurate assessments of their 2 main competitors that are finally beginning to ship now almost 4 months after KnC.  You have to give this man credit for being pretty much dead on with his assessments (4 months ago) of how HashFast has been dishonest all along that is plain to see by everyone now.  He took a lot of heats for standing up and believing in KnC and calling out HashFast's unrealistic delivery schedule and specs (exceeded power estimate, probably due to overclocking to meet 400Gh/chip specs) and Cointerra for not raising enough NRE fund (cause tapeout to be delayed) and providing best case specs (currently shipped hashing at less than specs).  Hopefully KnC will continue their trend of under-promise/over-deliver unlike their competiters.  I will be a customer for life as long as they continue to employ a man with such impeccable integrity.

I just want people to have a fair and safe purchase experience from a continuous source of unknowns, many who have scammed people on this forum. Why is that so hard to understand? I do not believe Cointerra are intent on scamming. I do however believe Hashfast are being deliberately dishonest with respect to delivery and specs, as they have removed all accountability and liability from their terms that they update frequesntly after sales have taken place. They now have just added a new severability term in their terms of sale (No.20 that states they can do whatever they want, when they want, change terms without any prior consultation or contact with their customers at will, removing any protection their buyers have). I also feel Cointerra are claiming best case simulated specs, and that makes me question why they have stopped accepting Paypal now. Why should I be persecuted for wanting people and their funds to be treated with respect? Why should I be persecuted for trying to forewarn and educate people as to how to safely purchase pre-order goods?

I find it funny that you're still championing KNC over every other vendor. There is only a week and a half left in September. When the end of the month comes, I expect to be proven correct, that KNC will delay... how long will they delay? That's anyone's guess.

Like seriously, wtf Bitcoinorama. Is it really that hard to see why people think you're a shill? There's only a week and a half left for KNC to meet their initial shipping deadline and no signs they will ship in the next week and a half, yet you are still glorifying them. It's like an abused wife denying she's being abused while her husband is in mid-swing...

PS: Nothing personal bitcoinorama. I like you and like having you around. However, I find it puzzling how you can be so blind to think KNC's shit doesn't stink. I would love to be proven wrong about them delaying, as I have a couple orders with them. I just don't see them making a September shipping deadline.

Coinhoarder I know product design, I know engineering, and I know how to raise funding. Please pick a hole in the analytical content I gave and not tr to make assumption as to my intentions, which ai might add are sincere. I have made the right choice on this forum multiple times, and there is one significant area every manufacturer bar KnC has overlooked. I will stay quiet on that point until Cointerra deliver, but with respect to the above, am I wrong?

This is a crucial week for KnC, make no mistake, but they had the drop, the most well thought out and sensible one on all their competitors. If Hashfast had been planning their ASIC as they claim from 2011, then why on earth would they allow KnC to walk in and tie up all funding three months earlier?! Why not state your intention right then, and show your proof of conceptual design of you have it to hand, generate interest and prevent your legitimate competitor from beating you to the punch? Because like everything Hashfast has claimed has been dishonest. They left it too late, they know it, so they are lying and begging to secure funds with unrealistic delivery dates and chip specifications, alongside marketing gimmicks, and 'flash 3-day sales'. No real payment security, no accountability. Read their terms of sale, and you will gain a picture of their true lack of integrity.

Cointerra has been more realistic with delivery timeframe, but they have not raised NRE costs, that part is painfully obvious by their erratic behaviour. They could prob do good, but unlike Hashfast they weren't prepared to bend truths, and bear in mind whether the '20-30th October' has become 'anticipated 20-30th October' (after securing funding), and they have changed their 'terms of sale' to remove all accountability and consumer protection (4-5 times a week ago alone - still waiting for someone to point out the huge removal of customer rights there). There is no way in hell TSMC agreed to the 20-30th October even with a super hyper mega rocket run, and those guys do not bend for anyone. If called to by court TSMC would tell the truth. Hashfast will be at least 2 weeks late. Minimum. They won't receive their chips till at least Nov. Their terms suggest possibly even more, then 90 days later, you get ditched with chips you are expected to assemble yourself, with expensive components required to house the chips and have them hashing.  Again they have just removed pricing they were encouraging purchases by claiming a hashrate pricing per Gh of approx $2.60 (I forget precisely - as I said it's yet another removal made after sale has taken place). That price included the chips from the Miner Protection, fine, but it didn't include the additional costs required to purchased the board and necessary components within that price per Gh. Purposeful advertising claims with the intent to mislead and coerce sales, by fraudulently appearing a better deal than their competitors, and you doubt my analysis of competing companies and calling out foul play as shilling? It's logic dude. Marketing magic, by misdirection involves you stay alert and focus on both hands, not just the one handling the cards. Wink

I'm happy to be proven wrong, for those unfortunate enough to have funds tied up there, I hope I am. I'm man enough to openly apologise of proven otherwise, but I'm not stupid, and frankly I find it insulting how some these companies assumed we all are, let alone set up a business and expect us to fund it's entire existence and their lifestyles so they can have their own free paid for hashrate on tap.
wesly you are right, bitcoinorama does deserve a tip, at least from me because his info. was very crucial to my decision making. I did my due diligence on KNC as best I could, and to orama's info. and the info. posted earlier on from senior forum member who attended KNC's invite early on last year.

BITCOINORAM, I got a cup of coffee or mug of beer for ya in DOGECOINS....10,000 DOGECOINS since that is the new coin for tips...get a dogecoin wallet and let me know....it is the least I can do. thanks 'ORAMA.
