401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 17, 2023, 11:34:25 AM
Two relegation zone teams will face each other this week and I'm pretty sure one of them will get their first win of the season. The match will bring Lyon vs Clermont together and as we know both teams are very down and have only drawn and lost so far. Even though last season these two teams were quite fine, entrenched in the middle of the table, unforeseen circumstances must always be faced by teams that fail to maintain stability.

Maybe Lyon will be favored to win because they are the hosts and I don't think that is a strong reason for Lyon at this time because they still get bad results. I'm still waiting for Lyon's comeback moment with their first win and if they can do it in this match without any obstacles, then I'm pretty sure they will be a little better in the next match. What do you think? Does Lyon have a chance to win this week's match?

Lyon's performance is very disappointing. Their achievement is only 3 points in 8 matches. The team could not win even one of the 8 matches. I don't think the Lyon team is weak. I have seen good performances from this team in past seasons. But their performance has been very poor since the beginning of this season. And the main reason for their poor performance is their poor defense. They conceded 16 goals in 8 matches. Lyon have one of the weakest defenses in Ligue 1.

Clermont's situation isn't much better either. The last team in the table is now Clermont. Lyon vs Clermont match is more likely to be a draw. The reason is that both parties are weak. And so no team wants to lose points. They will be happy to get 1 point from this match.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 16, 2023, 05:06:09 AM
It looks like the group leader in Group C has already been decided.  Grin  Because getting a win in Naples was going to determine the leader in the group technically for Real Madrid. Because I expect Real Madrid to win all the remaining Braga and Union Berlin games ahead above all else. After that I guess that Real Madrid wouldn't surprise me by losing the lead to Napoli in Santiago Bernabeu.  Smiley

Real Madrid seem more credible to me to play bigger this season. I'm saying this even though they had Benzema last season.

Because there is a much bigger progress in their performance compared to that season. Bellingham has changed this team a lot too but I like the team effort more at the same time.
Real Madrid definitely has the ambition to wipe out the remaining four matches with a win, so that they will get perfect points in Group C. Napoli has the opportunity to fill the runner-up position, and Braga will continue its adventure in the Europa League. It is difficult for Napoli to dominate Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, we know they lost at home in their previous match. Group C is relatively easy to predict, because it is filled with two top clubs and two non-top clubs.

On the other hand, Ancelotti squad played quite solidly as a team. Regarding Bellingham, I think Ancelotti gave him a more attacking role and freed him from defending. So with a shortage of ideal pure strikers, Bellingham potential emerged and made an instant impact on the club.

Going to the next stage from this group can't be hard for a team like Real Madrid but I think they will have problems in the next games after that because Real Madrid is hardly dependent on one palyer and after the loss of Benzema they couldn't have another good striker but instead, Real Madrid trying to use Jude Bellingham for everything and even for scoring goals which means they will have many problems if they lose this player and not if he gets injured in Real Madrid.

Real Madrid is obviously going to qualify to the next stage paying the number one team in this group for sure. I have no doubt about that. I am actually interested to see if Real Madrid can actually be the winner of the Champions League competition this season. I want to see Real Madrid winning the Champions League. And I also want to see Real Madrid in a really good striker in the next transfer window. Because, without a really good striker, it is going to be hard for Real Madrid to win the Champions League. And if Real Madrid is thinking that they will just depend on Jude Bellingham to score goals for them, I think it is going to be a mistake.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 16, 2023, 04:26:53 AM
Bournemouth and Sheffield are two teams that have never won so far and I think the chances of these two teams getting closer to the relegation zone this season. Even so, Bournemouth probably have a better record with 3 draws which saw them collect 3 points and Sheffield is so bad with only collecting 1 point from one draw and the rest they lost. In the next match, maybe Bournemouth will have the opportunity to add 3 points against Wolves next week, especially this time they are the hosts and for Sheffield, maybe this will be a match that can do wonders for them because it is against Manchester United.
These two teams are currently the bottom two teams in the Premier League after eight matches; Bournemouth already had three points from three draw matches; they are one point behind Burnley, who have just won one match, lost six, and drawn one so far this season, while Sheffield United have so far had just one point out of all the eight games they played; therefore, I expect Bournemouth to win the match because they have had a good performance compared to Sheffield United.

Quote
Sheffield must be able to take advantage of the poor results achieved by Manchester United so far and even though in the previous match Manchester United won dramatically, in fact they still had a very difficult time scoring first. Sheffield must force Manchester United to lose points and they must take advantage of the opportunities that exist to take the lead first and then defend fully. I know it's a bit difficult but Sheffield will have to try because they haven't had one so far.
I don't think Manchester United can lose their match against Sheffield United because they really need consistency in their games in order to keep fighting for the title or top four. Therefore, for them to have consistency, they need to win their next match before facing Manchester City.

Well, as a team that has not been able to win so far this season, it is definitely going to be hard for Sheffield United to be able to win the match against Manchester United. if anything, Manchester United is going to look at this as an opportunity to get three points. Manchester United should look at this and realise that they have not performed well at all this season, and this is a golden chance for them to win a match and probably get things back on track. I think if Manchester United even loses one point, it is not going to be acceptable. Well, if they drop points, they are going to get only one point from this match if it is a draw. And if they lose it is going to be hilarious.

But who knows, probably Sheffield United will be able to take advantage of the inconsistent form of Manchester United.
404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 16, 2023, 03:06:25 AM
I know that these are all pure assumptions, but instead of speculating massive ATH and 3x or 4x returns, which are way too common in the forum, why not expect something that is more probable to happen in the near future? And to be honest, doubling your investment is a great yield that cannot easily be found in other forms of investment.
I, too, tend not to set my expectations too high for the next halving event, considering the widespread speculation that the price will soar above $100,000. It's not an incorrect notion, but I find myself content with figures below that milestone. Such a scenario is a rarity in other investment instruments, like stocks or bonds. Moreover, being a Bitcoin investor is relatively straightforward and lacks many other requirements.

In essence, the ease of purchasing Bitcoin is rewarding enough, even with gains of 100% or 150%. Furthermore, we'll always have the opportunity to acquire more Bitcoin whenever we please, as the bearish and bullish aspects are integral elements that consistently influence Bitcoin's price movements.

It's good that you're not too greedy and set moderate goals for yourself to avoid regrets, but I find that a target of 100k$ or 120k$ is not too high for bitcoin in the upcoming bull season. I have even higher expectations than everyone's predictions, I believe bitcoin is completely capable of reaching $150k-180k.

Many people say that investing in bitcoin is not a place to get rich quickly, but we should not deny that it is easier to make double or triple profits with bitcoin than with any other asset. That's why we invest in bitcoin instead of other options, so I still consider bitcoin a get-rich-quick investment more than other assets.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 16, 2023, 02:55:41 AM
CZ got his points, but that's not unique, it's based on the history of how market reacts to halving, and many people said the same. Tho with the current economic condition and people have more experience on the effect of halving and how Bitcoin market react to it, I doubt people will are still hoping that Bitcoin will double the price immediately after halving, most of Bitcoin speculators should already learn that Bitcoin halving effect on the market is not instant. And the thus could also make the time frame when Bitcoin will reach new ATH after the halving, probably longer than just a year.

Only old investors know that the bull season will not happen immediately when the halving happens, but from what I see from newbies, they think the bull season will come immediately when the halving occurs. Many people are even confident that bitcoin will not decrease anymore because the closer the halving gets, the more people will buy bitcoin. From there, the price of bitcoin will slowly increase without any significant price drops. If based on history, newbies have a wrong view of the bull season, but there is no guarantee that history will repeat itself, so things cannot be easily predicted.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 16, 2023, 01:18:02 AM
When it comes to Bayern Munich's goalkeepers I wonder one thing about it lately. They have signed a young talent named Daniel Peretz as you know. However we just can't watch him in any game. I mean the only game we have seen him was the DFB Pokal game which was a few weeks ago and that's it.

Ulreich has been in the starting eleven in the rest of the games until now. Is Ulreich that reliable goalkeeper in the long run?

I mean he has been good in the Bundesliga so far though. But they conceded 4 goals in 2 games in the Champions League for example. Maybe Daniel Peretz can also be given more chance to see what he is capable of.

Sven is already quite old. Maybe they should actually look for someone who has already proved himself. I am not saying that the goalkeepers they have right now are useless. But I kind of want to see them bring in De Gea. I don't think it is going to be a problem for them to do so, because as far as I know De Gea is not in a contract right now. And as long as he is not under contract, he will be able to join any team. He wants even though the transfer market is off. At least that's what I know. Do let me know if I am wrong. But I think he is definitely going to be more reliable compared to Sven and the other kid.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 15, 2023, 05:34:11 PM
Barcelona already doesn't have much money and in trouble, making this transfer shouldn't really be a priority for them, not right now at least .I would say their current roster is as good as they could hope for and should let them be, just let the season end without any moves.

Do not buy anyone, do not sell anyone and just keep the season going to see how they will end. They are going to finish fine both at league and UCL, they will go to probably around quarter finals for UCL and finish either first or second in the league for sure. That is good for a team with that much debt, they need to keep that going without spending much money to feel happy, they won a title last year, they can't keep winning it every year.

This would result with them gradually having less and less debt, however if they end up getting Mitoma then it is going to hurt them a lot more and they do not have that kind of money, if they keep doing these moves then they will never be able to pay it back.
At a time when all the clubs are improving their squads, Barcelona should stay silent? I don't think that's a good thing to do. Because change will always be there when the transfer market comes and that should be used to strengthen their squad. Maybe financially they're not ready to do that, but there's always the option to do that, as long as it's not too much that will make their debts swell, I think it can be done.
Selling players and taking the profit and allocating it to new players is something they can do. Because if they just stand still without making any moves, it is feared that they will be overtaken by the clubs below them.

But I don't understand how Barcelona can spend so much money when they do not have money to spend. They should stay quiet until the situation gets better financially. And I do not think that they should not make any move. They should definitely try to bring in the players that are really good value for money.

I know Barcelona is trying to bring in a lot of young players who are not going to cost them a lot of money. But sometimes they are also making some bad decisions and spending too much for some players that do not deserve that kind of money. I hope that Barcelona will be very careful about spending money.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 15, 2023, 01:37:09 PM
This is a confirmation that Bitcoin is safer and better than many conventional investment portfolios.

All investments have risks. Gold or real estate are considered safe havens, but that doesn't mean there are no risks, there will be rare risks that we never expect. But that doesn't mean bitcoin is safer or better than other assets. Investing in bitcoin you will also have to face its volatility, or the future of bitcoin is still a question mark. Not to mention we encounter risks such as hacking, natural disasters, fires...many incidents will lead to loss of seed phrases. Nothing is absolutely safe, including bitcoin.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: October 15, 2023, 01:27:35 PM
Yet mate? As bitcoin user and investors, we tend to still believe in capacity of bitcoin comparing yo GOLD?
Did you read my post that says Bitcoin is better than gold?

The chart and the quoted part is about market caps of Bitcoin and gold. I did not say anything wrong that Bitcoin still has a long way to reach Gold market cap. Having a lower market cap does not mean Bitcoin is worse than gold as Bitcoin is decentralized and verifiable with its network and public ledger.

One that has been around and recognized for thousands of years and one that has only been around for 14 years and is still limited in popularity. So is that comparison fair for bitcoin? Furthermore, low capitalization does not mean that it is inferior to gold, but also shows the great potential of bitcoin and we should not ignore that. But its low capitalization also means it will have greater risk than gold.

There is no benefit in comparing the two, if you are willing to take risks for high returns then choose bitcoin. If you have become too rich and you need a safe and low-volatility asset, gold is the choice.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 14, 2023, 06:00:14 PM
In my opinion, it would be better for Kaoru Mitoma to leave Brighton to be able to develop his career at an elite club like Manchester City or Barcelona, which is currently on the rise. Indeed, Barcelona wants these players, but it seems that Barcelona still cannot afford to buy new players, seeing as their financial condition is not good at the moment.

The Manchester duo both want this player, but I am more interested if Kaoru Mitoma joins Manchester City to be able to develop his career well there because Manchester City is in good form at the moment compared to Manchester United.
I think better stay with Brighton Albion and he get more minutes playing than joins with Manchester City or United because will get difficult with regular position there. In Brighton Albion he has more minutes playing on every match, he can shows his skill than have to be on the bench when joining with top teams such as Manchester City or Manchester United who has top attacking line. Moves to bigger teams not get guarantee with more minutes player or regular position, I think Kaoru Mitoma better stay with Brighton Albion for one or two years later until has consistency performance and get guarantee as regular player when joining with City or United. Many Japan's players loss their position when moving to bigger team such as Takumi Minamino and Wataru Endō with Liverpool.
It seems that the Brighton principle is not like that to hold back the Mitoma and the players they have released to the big club. At Brighton itself, if I was not wrong they aimed to print quality young players who were prepared for prestigious in big clubs. Therefore it will not be surprising if in the end Mitoma is recruited by clubs such as Man City or other clubs and Brighton will not complicate his departure. Brighton's investment in the English League is quite famous and they always have their own way of taking the seeds of young players that other clubs cannot do. Brighton has scored many quality players who have now contributed to the giant club.

First of all, if he does stay, he is going to get good playing time. But if he leaves, he will have a chance to play for a really big club. I think that is really essential for a lot of players. And if they can show a good performance, it will also boost the market price of those players. But the problem is he is going to get less playing time in bigger clubs. I actually believe that he will get less playing time if he goes to Manchester City compared to Barcelona. But at the same time, Manchester City is currently performing a lot better compared to Barcelona. The future of Manchester City also looks brighter when compared to Barcelona. So this can definitely be a hard choice to make.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 14, 2023, 05:33:32 PM

Girona has not met a strong team other than Madrid. So in 9 matches they tried to get points consistently in every match they were able to get. I think that's also a good result, but there's no need to exaggerate Girona's performance to compete for the La Liga trophy.
The season is still long and Girona's struggle will still be very long. I hope they can still be consistent in getting points, even though the competition will be tight, but by them showing the best they have in the team, then that is enough to prove the development of the quality of their game.
Last season Girona where considered a small team, they weren't really a team you would place in the top when in comes to the Spanish La liga ranking so I don't think considering their Caliber you should talk about strong team or weak team.

Any team Girona faces in the Spanish La liga is always going to be a hard game for them but so far they have been able to hold their own and I think they deserve the praises and recognition they are getting although I think as the matches goes on their top player start getting weak and injuries I don't think they would be as hot as they are now that where the quality of depth a team has comes in and Girona doesn't have that.

I would say that losing against Real Madrid is not a big setback for Girona. After all Real Madrid,, without a doubt the best team in the La Liga competition. So losing against them is not a huge, unexpected action for a lot of people. And at the same time, even though they actually lost against Real Madrid, they are still at the top of the table and on the second position.

so I will say that the performance is still good enough for them. They just have to be consistent. And looking at the matches that are coming up, I believe they have the capability to avoid loss. I want to be surprised if they stay on the second position of the table and the point difference between them and Barcelona get bigger.

Achieving balance in life doesn't necessarily mean you will have no problems or will never face any stressful situation, instead it means you'll have the capabilitiy to face those situations and make it out alive.

That's what I was trying to say in the previous comment, there is no way we can have a life without stress and anxiety. The only thing we can do is adapt to everything and always find a way to overcome every situation. I have never tried to avoid it, but instead I consider pressure and difficulties as part of my life and I will live with it every day. Life is inherently not easy and it will be even more difficult if we want to achieve wealth, want to achieve things that others do not have.
413  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 14, 2023, 12:47:13 PM
Before answering this question, I will like to ask some few vital questions, as follows;
1. Who the children school fees and house rent? Men or Women... Men, right?
2. Who provides food for the family?.. Men, right?
3. Who pays for most of the major bills in the family?.. Men, right?
So if all these are been done by men, then how do you expect him to be economical when he has to pay for school fees, house rent, provide food for the family and pay major bills. And that doesn't mean I disagree with the fact, as women are created to be caregiver and home builder/manager.

Surely, You haven't seen a family where women earn most of their income. You are talking about most families but not all families. Men do not always make money. Sometimes, his wife works, and the husband takes care of their kids. Sometimes, both of them work and make money for their family. So, when most of the money comes from a woman, who pays the bills?

It just varies from family to another family. Maybe in your family, you make money; maybe I earn money for my family. But, it does not apply to every family. If you talk like this, you are not on the right path. You have to see both sides.

I am witnessing 2 families whose economy depends on the wife instead of the husband, one family is near my house and the other is my cousin's family. Both husbands are housewives and take care of the children, while the two wives are the economic breadwinners of the family.
Not in every family, the man will be the breadwinner, the one who earns and spends everything. And that doesn't mean we look down on men who take care of the housework for their families. What's more interesting is the two families I'm talking about, they are very happy families and have no quarrels like my family Cheesy. There is no discrimination between wives and husbands.

Gender is not a measure to say who will earn more money or who will be the breadwinner for the family in today's modern world.
Exactly! Gender shouldn't have anything to do with it. In today's time it has already been proved over and over again that women can do what men can and vice versa. Gender stereotypes should already be a thing of the past. Women has fought for their acknowledge and rights to not be closed and limited by the standards and roles set to them by society and by doing so it now gives men the confidence to express our emotions more openly and show vulnerability at times. It's the 21st century! What we can and can't do based on our gender should be the least of our concerns.

Yes, we are in the 21st century and it's sad that many people still think that men are the ones who make money or are the breadwinners in the family, and women are nothing. Women can do anything men can do, including being president of a country. I am not flattering or flattering women but I find that if women become leaders, they will even do better than men in some areas. Or women in jobs that are largely male-dominated seem to do better than those men. Things are so different from before, we should get rid of sexist ideology.

Bangladesh could have easily reached 300 today if Shakib didn't keep going for big shots and played more smartly alongside Rahim. Mahmudullah helped his team reach a respectable total though I don't think it will be enough.

New Zealand should win this match quite comfortably since they have plenty of great batsmen left.

I can't call a target of 246 runs a bad target after losing 4 wickets for just 56 runs. It is a good enough target for Bangladesh. I thought Bangladesh would lose all wickets before 200 runs. But the team collected 245 runs after losing 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Considering the condition of the pitch, it can be understood that it is a spin bowling friendly pitch. So I would say the outcome of the match will depend on the bowling of Shakib and Miraj. Bangladesh has a chance to win if these two bowlers do well. If these two bowlers do not do well, it is impossible to win against New Zealand. New Zealand's batting order is very strong.

But what I want to ask is how to balance life these days? Because not only me but everyone around me has their own problems in life and is always in a state of stress. I have never seen anyone truly have a balanced life, even retirees have to worry about many things or even rich people have their own difficulties. It sounds easy to say, but I don't believe anyone can balance life in a time when things are getting worse. By the way, how did you achieve balance in life?

Napoli have reportedly started offering a deal to Antonio Conte, who is predicted to be Rudi Garcia's replacement. But it seems that the negotiation process is not going very smoothly because Antonio Conte is still waiting for new opportunities from other clubs. I think that if a team like Napoli has started to express interest in recruiting him, Antonio Conte should be able to decide immediately because Napoli also doesn't have much time to wait for his unclear decision.

Maybe it is still quite open for other teams to get a deal from Antonio Conte but looking at the current situation it seems quite small the chance of getting an offer from another club apart from Napoli. So currently Napoli's option is Antonio Conte as a candidate for the new coach if they fire Rudi Garcia.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1712153071055245693

Does Napoli want the crybaby? He's in a very bad situation if he ended up getting this unprofessional person who spends money on redoing his hair.
Sorry, I can't stand him, he's a child playing at being an adult, I don't consider him a serious person at all. And Napoli have lost seriousness at this point.

Now, one thing that I am thinking of is that, is he actually going to be better compared to who they have right now?

Another thing is, as a coach, they have to be really stoic with their emotion. They cannot just complain and cry about anything. They have to be the ones to make sure that the players have a good mindset going into each and every match. They also have to be the person to say that everything is going to be alright. They know very well that it will not. Now if they start crying, it is a big problem in my opinion. Napoli should think about this long and hard and then make a decision.

but we also need to do something different in order to improve not just patient because after all life not to go on, so if we can be comfortable why not, through all the hard work we might make it.
when hardwork finally pays off then at least we don't have to be stressed by finance condition again, because we can't lie that the stress is mentally exhausting and doesn't matter how optimistic we are, we would always have some thoughts about this, therefore escaping financial crisis is the way.
Hard work will create the same stress, yes, you will not have financial problems while you work, but you will not be able to work for a long time at a hard job, it will not only take away your physical strength, but perhaps also exhaust you emotionally. Ultimately, you will tend to change jobs, even if it brings you less income. If we lack money, we will always experience stress, I’m not sure that this can be avoided somehow, we must always have savings to prevent this.

It is very difficult to have a comprehensive balance in life, if we want a lot of money, we need to work hard and accept the sacrifice of our health. If we have less income then we will also be stressed, in my opinion, this is worse when we have to work hard.

I'm also very stressed because of my workload and everything related to my family. But I think I can endure it, but without money I think my life would be even worse because everything requires money to solve. I don't think there is any solution to help us avoid the pressures in life other than living with and adapting to them.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: October 12, 2023, 11:59:42 AM
The main advantage of bitcoin over gold is that it is known exactly how many total coins exist and how many coins are in circulation. In addition, all transactions can be tracked. The advantage of gold is that it can be used even where there is no internet. In addition, gold transactions are less transparent
Although there are many differences between gold and bitcoin, they are very valuable. At present, if we can hold bitcoin alongside gold, it is very profitable for us and can bring us a lot of profit. Bitcoin price is going to be close to the price of gold. Both bitcoin and gold are valuable to me.  Wealth I think. So I am thinking of investing my money in them.

Gold is stable and the price is not too volatile so I would not consider investing in gold to bring in big profits. As Davis196 mentioned, people own gold to protect their capital value from various risks, no one expects to make huge profits by investing in gold. Meanwhile, bitcoin is an emerging asset with a lot of potential, although the risk will be higher than gold, the profits are also greater than gold. So it will depend on the needs of each investor which one we choose, gold for those who like safety and bitcoin for big profits.
I would choose bitcoin over diversifying with gold because I am willing to take risks for big profits.

India's Team wanted to up their run rate, as they succeeded in winning the match in just 35 overs because they knew at the end of the World Cup, maybe a stage comes in which they should need a run rate for that. So, they always try to reach their target steadily. Also, the Afghanistan Team didn't provide the cricket that they needed to play. The fans of the Afghanistan Team are very disappointed

I have a friend there who was not supporting India, when the first innings ended, he was laughing and saying that India would lose today. When India's batting started he put himself in a blanket and said now India will win haha Cheesy. So, that was a drama there. Although India played well. Round of applause for them.

People can support whoever they want. In the end, it is going to be the players who are playing in the middle. Anyway, the performance from India was great. It is also good to see the century from Rohit Sharma. Also really good to see that Virat Kohli is performing well in big tournaments. he had a really rough time in his career recently. These performances are going to boost his mentality a lot. Kishan probably should have reached his half-century. He definitely missed out on that chance. So right now, India is in the second position of the standing and they really have a healthy net run rate.
