1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy more ETH after reading this ? on: January 01, 2023, 08:01:42 AM

I wouldnt put my money on eth in any way. I guess that investors will still be able to make money with, but its potential for dobbling investments I believe it was lost forever. Now that eth abandoned POW and is now fully POS it will become less and less attractive, and soon it may be replaced by something better and decentralized.

I don't quite understand why you think that the transition from POW to POS is a mistake. I believe that in the face of the growing energy crisis in the world, this is a positive change for the entire project in the long run.

ETH's move from POW to POS has absolutely nothing to do with the current energy crisis situation. The upgrade plan of ETH was launched 4 years ago, and after many delays, it was implemented the last year. Many people are skeptical of ETH as it becomes more and more centralized when moving to POS, but it is in ETH's favor. In addition to reducing gas fees, which is the biggest headache for ETH, the upgrade is extremely important for ETH in future block expansion. For ETH, I consider this a desirable upgrade, Vitalik Buterin knows what he is doing best for ETH. It is too early to conclude that ETH is not worth investing in when it is POS, keep in mind that many altcoins still use POW but they are all useless, unable to compete with ETH. If you need a decentralized coin, bitcoin is enough.

Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars, 23rd Match Melbourne Stars did well from the start. Joe Clarke and Stoinis' reliable batting helped Melbourne Stars to build a good score. It was a big target but Adelaide Strikers went ahead with that target and only by 8 runs Adelaide Strikers lost the match. Overall the match was very competitive. Today's win Melbourne Stars move to 6th position in the points table of  Big Bash League 2022-23.
Adelaide Strikers played the match well and they scored fairly good runs.  But unfortunately rivals Melbourne Stars overshot the target and lost them winning by just 8 runs.  Melbourne Stars played the full 20 overs to win the match.  And they won the match very hard because in the last stage they almost gave up but they bounced back and won the match.  The match was really great

This was a really good win for the Melbourne Stars after three back to back losses. They actually needed this win. And I hope that they will be able to continue performing well after this match. But I have to say they still need to make some improvements in the bowling lineup. Because, even though they had a good target on the board, the opponent almost was actually successful to chase that down. And obviously, there was the heroic performance of Stoinis. That is also not going to happen every day.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: December 31, 2022, 08:56:26 AM
@OP I don't own 1 Bitcoin, but it doesn't mean I'm not a strong holders. If you think a strong holders are only people who own at least 1 Bitcoin, you're wrong. Actually there's many careless big holders who're either weak hands or hold it on centralized exchange.
Although owning more than 1 bitcoin, I do not think that holding a lot of bitcoins is a diamond hand, holding a few bitcoins is a weak hand. That's not right. Strong holders are those who hold bitcoin the longest regardless of the amount.

Because most of my holdings are altcoins such as Shiba Inu, Polygon, Bnb, and Xrp, then the others just don't make any money or just don't suit me.
My advice is you need to sell those centralized shitcoins and convert it to Bitcoin. There's no use cases at all, especially Shiba Inu which is only a meme coin, BNB is a centralized coin that the price depends on their exchange, and XRP is a centralized coin that work like traditional banking system.

Each person has a different investment style, I do not recommend he sell them, I believe that before holding, he has researched and has his reasons. But I can tell, he made the mistake of entering this market with a portfolio that didn't have bitcoin. He needs to add bitcoins to his portfolio, and now is also the perfect time to buy bitcoins as they are near the bottom, and too cheap to buy.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Now Be Bought Using Apple pay and Google pay On Binance on: December 31, 2022, 08:43:54 AM
I think it's the most wrong thing you can do when you care about your privacy.  First of all, it is wrong to buy bitcoins from centralized exchanges, there are better ways to do it, for example Bisq.  Secondly, it is wrong to pay with services such as Google Pay which will keep track of your payments and hand everything over to the authorities if they put pressure.

If you use them to buy bitcoins, your privacy will be compromised. But after all that is happening in the market, I can assure you that, like it or not, centralized services are still part of the market, and it is the biggest contributor to the growth and popularity of bitcoin. We want bitcoin to be adopted globally and become a means of payment worldwide, and we want privacy. That seems like a very difficult thing to achieve, we can only choose.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 30, 2022, 08:01:50 PM
Perhaps the biggest problem is the financial situation and differences between Bayern Munich and other clubs. By having good management for years and years, they have a healthy bank account and can actually buy and sell whatever they want. Rarely do you see bad buys at Bayern. Almost all the players who have passed them have become very good. And if you have a sound financial policy that results in a high bank account, it is also easier to build in stability by attracting experienced and good players. Other clubs do not have that luxury and are therefore often left behind. Dortmund received a lot of money for Haaland, but what did they finally get for reinforcements?
Bayern Munich is surely one of the best business models in the sporting world with their sources and facilities which are giving them quality and consistency in their long run performance in the UEFA it's not happened in one or two years they have done good and long run planning then management able to have system like this right now we have no other club in Germany which can do things like these, but I check few details about clubs with this I have feeling Freiburg management is also doing things like these even this will take time, but surely they can do and this could be game changer for them in long run.
Borussia Dortmund is another club which had potential but things never been ideal for them because as they have big amounted they start journey for the new players and their team's moral never been on same level.

There is an old saying which is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer day by day. This is exactly the case for the German league. In view of the fact that Bayern Munich have been the reigning champions of Germany for the past 10 seasons or so, it has made the German league uninteresting to watch for the most part. This is because we all know that Bayern Munich will be the league champion regardless of what happens. It is my opinion that this is going to be the case for the foreseeable future, barring a big billionaire taking over.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SBF released, Will Solana ($SOL) come back? on: December 30, 2022, 10:27:56 AM
In my opinion, whether Solana survives and continues to grow is up to Solana's team, not FTX's or Alameda's decision. Both are only Sol's biggest investors, not the project owner, and Sol is also invested by many other funds, not just the two of them.
In case even if SBF comes back, he can't help Solana because, with his bad reputation, people will stay away from all the projects he claims to support. Solana's fate is in their hands, but with what's going on, I doubt their future.
1207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OMG! Putin ready to negotiate?! on: December 30, 2022, 10:18:18 AM
In the speech declaring his willingness to negotiate, Putin made two important points. The first point about the Patriot system that will be supplied to Ukraine, where Putin confirmed that Russia is capable of destroying it and that it will actually destroy it as soon as it arrives. The second point is his declaration of his country's readiness to negotiate with those he called the parties to the conflict in Ukraine, and I think he meant the NATO countries and the countries that declared their military and economic support for Ukraine.

It seems that Putin is really suffering losses in his military operation, and the Patriot system will be very harsh because it will be able to target sites inside Russia. I doubt, frankly, that Western countries will accept sitting at the negotiating table without preconditions, as Putin called for

In the past, Russia also had difficulty in stopping the HIMARS system, but they finally found a solution to disable it, and now the Patriot system. They may have some difficulty initially, but once again the Russians will be able to neutralize US weapons.

The war has lasted for the 11th month, so economic or military damage is inevitable, but the problem is which side suffers more, whoever stands longer will win.

Europe has no say in this war, they are the most affected party, but the one who has the right to decide this war is the terrorists of the US imperialists.
1208  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pele, the greatest footballer of all time is dead at 82 on: December 30, 2022, 10:08:53 AM
I just heard about this news tonight, today the football lost a legend.
How ironic Pele died right after the victory of Argentina and right after the party celebrating the South American Football, this year is bitter-sweet for this continent in that aspect.

I read that during his last days, he had time to talk and say good bye to his family, which is something which is not always possible, because of the nature of death itself. Anyways, Rest in Peace. Pele. you had a good life.

I am a big fan of the Brazilian team, and I have high hopes for Mr. Tite's squad, hoping they can bring Brazil their 6th world championship as a final tribute to Pelé, but in the end that didn't happen. I saw the news today, and I am deeply saddened by his passing, even though we have known his health has not been good for a long time. But that is the life cycle of a person, no one can live forever. The world will never forget what you gave us. RIP, Pele.
1209  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People Are afraid of war but more they should be about crime If you got money on: December 29, 2022, 01:42:53 PM
My answer has nothing to do with what you are talking about, but as you said, obviously, we need government. Because if there is no leader and manager, the evils and crimes you are talking about will continue and be bigger than what we are seeing. I find it difficult to understand when many people complain that they are too controlled by the government and are not free but they cannot imagine that without laws or regulations, our world would be dominated by evil then we would be worse off than being controlled.
1210  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How pessimistic do you feel about the new year of 2023 ? on: December 29, 2022, 01:31:09 PM
Why you need to be pessimistic? even crisis happen in your country, you need to have a good mindset and be productive in order to increase your brand and skills to survive from the crisis. Blame to the government and don't want to work are really dumb because you can't just hope the government will give you donations. Don't forget they're also a human and they need a money too, they could corrupt donation's money.

So, be ready.

Pessimism doesn't mean we'll give up or blame anyone, but honestly, I don't see any growth or recovery for our economy next year.
Of course, the more unstable the economy is, the more we need to try harder and look for opportunities for ourselves because in a crisis there will be a lot of collapses, but it will also create a lot of new millionaires and billionaires. Therefore, crisis is also considered an opportunity if we know how to seize the opportunity.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 29, 2022, 03:18:06 AM
Against Inter in January will be a big test for all the Napoli squad, surely they are aiming for victory because this is important to keep the point difference from other teams large to keep their position safe at the top of the standings, but Inter is not an easy opponent, Inter current position in rank 5 will motivate them to put up a tough fight and gain points to improve their position, the strategy used by the Napoli coach will determine whether they win or only a draw can be obtained and the worst is defeat
exactly it will be THE definitive test for Naples
to demonstrate that they have grown up and become great or that they have remained a strong team but not a great team

for me it can do it
napoli can beat inter

It is extremely crucial that Napoli's team is able to control their nerves so that they can perform well on the field. Well, actually continue in the club competition. I know what everyone is thinking right now. It seems that everyone is very doubtful about their success since they have not performed well towards the latter part of the season in the past. Thus, it is very hard for people to believe that they are not going to do the same thing again this season. It is my belief that when you have a lead like that, you play with confidence and this can transpire into you making smart decisions and achieving your goals.

According to Google's prediction, Napoli has a lower chance of winning against Inter. However, I do not believe that is the case in reality.

And why Lionel Messi is going to go back to Barcelona for some extra competition when he is finding it easy to stay in PSG and winning the Ligue 1 title?
If Messi returns to the Spanish League, he will have to compete with Real Madrid. He has no such problem in France. I totally agree with this thought. He should stay in France and continue to win trophies more easily. If he comes back to Spain, he can make Barcelona top of the league again. I have no doubt about it. But now he is 35 years old. It would be a better choice for his career to compete in more comfortable areas. I don't find it right that he left Paris Saint-Germain FC. I do not consider such a transfer possible. Also, we haven't read any news that Messi is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain FC. In my opinion, this is the most important indicator.
Selling Lionel Messi to Paris Saint Germain, one of which was their poor financial factor at the time, and even now they still have the same problems. Barcelona wanting Lionel Messi back was something to be forced into because it would give them new problems for their finances.
I also feel that he doesn't have to think about anything else now, he has won all the prestigious trophies. Now he just needs to enjoy the rest of his career and play comfortably at Paris Saint Germain. Maybe this is also what Lionel Messi thought when he extended his contract with Paris Saint Germain.

@Ondekinecakabilirim I don’t think competition is the main reason. He was almost forcefully kicked out of Barcelona. He tried to stay in Barcelona. But the situation really prevented him from doing so. And right now he is in a better place and is going to win the league title for basically free. Why would he try to get himself into competition at this age? Even if he does go to other clubs, he’s not going to go back to Barcelona.

@Jody.Drummer I actually agree. They sold Lionel Messi so that they can overcome the financial problems they had but they are still facing the same problem. Barcelona should be ashamed to even ask Lionel Messi to return to Barcelona.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 26, 2022, 10:40:40 AM
The Sri Lankan cricket board will have to increase the budget for LPL. Otherwise, it is not going to be big. And the Sri Lankan people will have to be more interested in the LPL.
Budget is an important issue for the Premier League. At present, it can be seen that in all the leagues which have more budget, those leagues are getting success. What is the reason behind the popularity of IPL today? I deserve the budget is playing a major role in this concern. IPL, BBL, BPL and PSL are the most popular T20 leagues. There are also concerns about whether Sri Lanka will be able to host a big tournament like LPL in the recent situation? as they are surviving in economic crises.

Sri Lanka suffered a lot because of the Coronavirus situation. Because most of the earnings in Sri Lanka came from different tourist sites. And because of Coronavirus, those earnings were absolutely off. I think the Sri Lankan government should look into that aspect first. And I also think that they should not invest too much money in cricket at this moment.

No doubt Budget is important for all leagues and right now things are not favorable in LPL due to political and economical unrest but hopefully as they are developing their system and things are going they will be better and improve but here we have another point as well which could be helpful for the other countries as well as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka can do jointly Premier League with seven or eight teams this will increase their fan base and budget as well and both countries will be able to have better facilities and marketing which will be also helpful for them as well.

Right now IPL is biggest and no one can compete with them, but they can increase their marketing and fan base which will helpful for this region as well because then just one league will be helpful instead of having two different and things could be better manageable for these both countries as well.

Budget is obviously important but at the same time, we also have to keep in mind that Sri Lanka is not in a very good economic situation right now. So they will have to invest in everything very carefully. That cannot invest in any loss project right now. So it will be better for the Sri Lankan government to invest in something that will bring them a good amount of money and I don't see the LPL being that kind of investment right now.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You Missed ETH, Missed BNB, Please Don't Miss RENEC Too on: December 26, 2022, 04:24:38 AM
Is this the token of the P2P exchange remitano.com? I used to use this exchange and also heard about the RENEC token but was never interested in it. I see you're exaggerating when you try to compare it to Ethereum or Binance smart chain, it's a pretty lame comparison.

It just launched this year which means it has a long way to go and find a way to survive this bear season before thinking it will become as big as ETH or BNB.
Remitano was doing great before Binance was born, but since the birth of Binance, it has almost eclipsed all other P2P exchanges, I doubt Remitano's existence in the future.
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: The link between Bitcoin and the economy on: December 26, 2022, 04:06:48 AM

The two are inseparable.
I don't think the two are inseparable, the world economy doesn't depend on bitcoin so without bitcoin the economy won't be affected.

In fact, Bitcoin provides a more convenient storage and payment tool for people who cannot use the centralized financial system for various reasons.
Bitcoin provides a store of assets, a means of payment, and an investment channel for us, but not everyone needs bitcoin, bitcoin has not yet reached such importance.

Bitcoin is also subtly affecting the global economic order. After all, some countries have shown a very friendly attitude. Singapore has become the center of the global digital currency and crypto world. This is very surprising and surprising.
Again, bitcoin is still not big enough to impact the economy or the world order. Bitcoin is still very small and is in the development stage to be recognized, it is not fully recognized yet. I still have faith in bitcoin, but it may take longer for bitcoin to achieve what you say.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 25, 2022, 08:21:05 PM
The main thing is to return to Bundesliga, I don’t think that they set their main goal, to win Bundesliga 2. Ganover and Kaiserslautern will also retain the chances, the lag of 5 points is not so critically, this is only half the season, the whole struggle is still ahead. But I think that Hamburg has very good chances to return to Bundesliga next season, in the near future they will have two friendly matches with Cologne and Freiburg, they are trying to agree on matches with the Bundesliga teams.

If Hamburger can actually qualify for the Bundesliga, it would be a remarkable achievement for them. But it is going to be challenging for them if they continue to perform like what they are doing right now. First of all, they will have to be consistent. Without being consistent, they will not be able to stay at the top of the table. There will always be another team that performs better if they are not consistent, and the other team will also have a chance to get promoted to the Bundesliga. And another thing you know, the defense of hamburgers was not very convincing. They have to perform well defensively.

1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 25, 2022, 03:42:40 PM
Jaffna won the LPL once more (they have won all the three editions till now). I still don't have a very optimistic overview of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). They are still heavily dependent on the revenues from India. Sri Lanka is a small country of 20 million people, and unlike the case with Pakistan or Bangladesh, they don't have the capability to sustain their own franchise T20 league. And the economic situation in Sri Lanka is not good either.
In addition to these leagues such as LPL, PSL and BPL, why can't the boards come up with a combined league where the top 2 teams from each of the leagues participate? It can be a six-team league, with the top 2 clubs from LPL, 2 from PSL and 2 from BPL. Or it can be further expanded with one team each from Afghanistan and Nepal to make it a 8-team league.
But, good thing happening with the all issues and on and off the field problems they are doing good job and having good league which will give them good results in long run which is positive development for this small country and spirit behind this league is also amazing from the Sri Lankan authorities as they are currently facing the worst time but still having good success which is impressive.
And about you this suggestion I think few years back we already have one league with the name of Champions League, but sadly this was not successful, so they scrap this idea and now no one talking about this all which is good idea because as we already have few troubles regarding Pakistan and Indian relationship, so this could be also not successful so most chances no one will be gone ahead or if we have then most chances Pakistan or India any country will be not in.

Champions League was supposed to be unsuccessful because a tournament that was supposed to be the biggest right after the World Cup was not properly taken care of by the ICC. And secondly, the teams also did not care about the Champions League that much.

Well, correct me if I’m wrong but I believe they did at first but since when the league cricket started getting popularity, Champions League started losing popularity, as far as I know. And I don’t think the cricket fans also care about the Champions League. Even I almost forgot that something like this existed in cricket.

The Sri Lankan cricket board will have to increase the budget for LPL. Otherwise, it is not going to be big. And the Sri Lankan people will have to be more interested in the LPL.

Basking from the euphoria of winning the World Cup Messi had agreed a contract extension with PSG, this news had put to an end the speculation that Laporta wanted to lure him back to Barcelona after his present contract expires in 2023, Messi is expected to sign a one year contract extension with his present club, I think PSG will never let him go now as the club is desperately and battling to win the coveted UCL this season and from every indication Messi had settled down in Paris and hopefully with the arrival of Neymar and Mbappe back the team all is now set for UCL matches coming up next February.
Link: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64031342

If Lionel Messi has any self-respect, he’s not going to go back to Barcelona. I remember he even agreed to play for half of the salary that he was getting at that time just to stay in Barcelona. But even that was not possible. And why Lionel Messi is going to go back to Barcelona for some extra competition when he is finding it easy to stay in PSG and winning the Ligue 1 title?

At first, we were talking about Cristiano Ronaldo versus Lionel Messi. After that now we are talking about Mbappé versus Lionel Messi. This guy is still playing like he is in his prime even when he is 35 years old
1219  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I feel guilty. on: December 25, 2022, 05:56:41 AM
It's not your fault, he has become a loser and he has no place to blame, and unfortunately, when you see him again. People who fail are more likely to blame others than to take the blame on themselves, no one is responsible for our lives but ourselves.

...you can get him introduced to crypto and Bitcointalk forum, that should be the best favour for him from my opinion.

What his friend needs right now is to quit drinking, quit smoking, and get a good job outside than going to this forum and investing in bitcoin. With people like him, I fear that he will become addicted to gambling rather than becoming an investor. Don't rush to introduce him to the forum, with bitcoin, see if his actions change.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 24, 2022, 08:43:07 PM
Sergio Busquets is a defensive midfielder while De Jong is an attacking midfielder. so even if Sergio Busquets leaves in January, the ideal replacement would be Franck Kessie. or N, Golo Kante if Barcelona succeed in signing him in January. whatever it is, Barcelona should let Busquets go while still having a transfer fee. for De Jong, if Barcelona put him on the sale list in January, I would really regret it. he is a talented player, after all, Barcelona's young midfielder still needs the guidance of a more senior player like De Jong.
On the wing, like it or not if Raphinha's performance doesn't improve. Xavi must replace him with another player, at least Barcelona still has Ansu Fati if Xavi wants to experiment. IMO, Barcelona's problem at the moment is the tactics and strategy applied by Xavi. if Xavi is able to see Barcelona's weaknesses and fix them, I'm optimistic that Barcelona can win at least one trophy. be it La Liga or Europa League.
Do they still have enough money for it? They had already spent a lot of money on the exchanges at the beginning of the season. For salary alone they need a lot of money. If they don't sell some players maybe they could get penalized about FFP.

Another news I saw on Social media if Beligham was going to Madrid. But reportedly Dortmund asked for a fee of 100 million euros. That possibility, he was prepared to replace Modric or Kross who was getting old.

There is no doubt in my mind that it is Sergio Busquets who is well past his prime at Barcelona. In my opinion, he should really consider retiring or leaving Barcelona in the very near future if he does not wish to continue playing there. There is a possibility that MLS might be the most appropriate option for him. I believe that this is due to the fact that he has been growing older. In addition, the pressure over there seems to be much less than that in La Liga. According to my opinion, it is time that Barcelona invests more in younger players rather than older players like Busquets, and I believe it is the right move.
