401  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: March 23, 2014, 08:16:49 PM
There is maybe forked minepeon already in these Chinese Dragonminers. I do not know.
I could pay some BTC bounty if we get working Minepeon to replace the Chinese image. I dont have skills to make it.
There is Raspberry PI + Fancy LCD screen.

Have you got links to their repo's (I am at work and don't have time for Google).  If they have a suitable repo of their source code (or even just a patch) I could put something together.  MinePeon already has the cgminer-HEX binary that I compiled from Technobit's cgminer patches.  I could make it a button in the settings and then you are ready to rock!

Neil

I doubt the have aything public. In plain english. They run cgminer 3.9.0 and its 99.9% stable. Chips are A1.
Is there a way to pull the drivers from live working unit. I dont know anything about this. But i have 1 unit.
402  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: www.lketc.com 1TH Dragon miner direct order. 3000$ on: March 23, 2014, 08:06:01 PM
From the picture I count they are making this new model with 4 blades. That is 8 chips per blade 250GH/blade ~31.25GH/chip = 1000GH unit with around 900w power.

I doubt the new one will run at 0.9W/GH @ 31.25GH a chip, probably more like 1.2W/GH, you cannot get more GH per chip without using more power.

I see they've finally figured out it's a 30/70 package and they need a heatsink on both sides of the chip.  Cheesy

I'd still rather have the old one and pay a little more to save my power bills, but I guess for people who want higher density and lower $/GH this is better.

More power per chip yes but also 1 total blade less. Total number of chips is 20% less i still think it's around 900w as they advertice.

Original unit was like 200GH / 180watts per blade, i have 1 onit its total draw from wall is around 900.

So if new design is 250GH / anything less than 240watts  / blade keeps the unit still under 1kw total. I really doubt they would improve blades desing to sustain +100w more powerdraw thats too much for the power lines. 1TH/1.2KW unit dont make sense

We will see.

New more compact model. I still somehow liked the old one.
This is the source for Dragon miners you can again see their logo in the LCD

http://www.lketc.com/goods/show-357.aspx

From the picture I count they are making this new model with 4 blades. That is 8 chips per blade 250GH/blade ~31.25GH/chip = 1000GH unit with around 900w power.
Their first design was 25GH/chip and 5x 200GH blades. IF you own any of those early models the MCU unit can run 6 Blades. So you can get 1.2TH - 1.5TH from those units. Thats why i like the design more. Much room for 2 PSU units, much room for ventilation.

DO NOT OC THE GEN1 BLADES. THEY ARE MADE TO HASH 200GH NO MORE!

This New design is made more compact, also saved 1 fan. Price could to drop sub 2000$ while Innosilicon drops chip prices. That unit cost them nomore than 500$ including the Great Wall 1000W psu ( good 1kw psu from China ) ex. chips.

This design beats Antminer S2. Compare 32chips to cool vs. unseen Antminer S2 and 210 chips
These are cheaper.

This factory is challenging Bitmain. They could be shipping out 1PH /week lol  Grin
See how Chinese pool hashrate is growing.

ps. whats on that whiteboard Wink

-edit- Can someone write up Bounty post to make Minepeon image to this Dragon miners Raspberry PI. i would gladly pay on that service. There is fancy LCD module too.

Anyone in the us able to proxy/resell? I've got 3k for a th of mining equipment.

Resell price is going +4k$ atm.  Wink
You pay always more buying from a reseller who buys it from agent in China who buys it from factory...

Factory has no english customer service.

unknown site takes BTC and asks for your ID card? seems legit...

Unknown site outside China. Lketc domain and that brand + logo can be seen in every Dragonminer settings page. Unless reseller removed those.

411  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Unofficial BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: March 20, 2014, 11:00:57 PM
NEWS (not official ones):

look at the Chinese Miner thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470386.msg5731091#msg5731091

Interesting things are going on... so they got 100k chips for cheap money. Daily it`s getting better & bitmine clients are really fucked up at all now as read this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=470386.msg5735062#msg5735062

Finally an A1 clone is coming for 9€ per piece plus massive Antminer S2 1TH miners... calculate yourself how many BTC you will return with 12k USD rip-off product (even rigs) by Giorgio.
+1
so sickening

And bitmine? silence

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=523634.0

Factory making the A1 miner for half the price bitmine.ch customers paid for pre-order and are still left without miners. How i see it bitmine got the chips on time and had all good intentions but they failed to make stable working miner on time. They left customers out to honor their biggest contract... sad.

Innosilicon propably had better lawyers making the contract.
412  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: www.lketc.com 1TH Dragon miner direct order. 3000$ on: March 20, 2014, 10:46:48 PM
I take it this is the miner that is being sold on minersource.net for $5,399?

https://minersource.net/products/1-th-slash-s-28nm-miner

Phil

Correct.

I'm all for making 25%+, but 60% seems like a hell of a markup.
Regards

http://www.lketc.com/goods/35/2.aspx

Factory dropped price. It was  ¥  27000 for march 10 batch thats 4333$ ex shipping.
They say that site they can sell miner for about 1100$ excluding chips so it all comes to Innosilicon and how fast they will drop chip prices. Bitmine.ch has lost this. Trying to get working miners out for people who paid 6000$ for 1TH rigs and are still missing their miners. Same time Chinese show how it is done. Cheap and fast all that matters.

The order details page (shipping address, etc) is still in Chinese. Is there an English checkout process?

Hopefully English pages gets better in next days. They are in real rush to deliver and make those miners. Shipping out +600 miners next week.
I made account there with google chrome translate some time ago and with that i can push the order to checkout fine. I just dont have the BTC or i would order instantly.

I Have not ordered from them before none can blame me if they get into trouble with this  Grin

Checkout page is still in Chinese. This is translated with Chrome.

OEM price for this miner box ex. chips seems to be ¥ 6000 (1.66 BTC)
While chips are getting cheaper theres alot room for miner price to drop Cheesy

We all love Bitmain but this miner has fancy LCD and all. I am hoping to see Minepeon custom image for RaspberryPi soon and this miner is sexy!!

417  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: March 20, 2014, 02:06:01 PM

Factory price of 1TH Dragon miner is down to 17500yuan thats roughly 2800$ ex. shipping. Discounts given to large orders. Shipping out before April. They do ship out directly i wish they would go Bitmain way and open overseas sales website, they do the shipping anyways why not do the sales.

Read with Chrome and translate.

418  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] 1THs 1kW 28nm Miner - $3800 - March 31st, BTC, Wire on: March 20, 2014, 11:57:57 AM
I'm going to be closing this group buy soon, while we look for another vendor.  Existing orders are secure, and anyone who wants to make a last buy is welcome to do so over the next few days, but this fiasco with the chip count has us looking to find a different source.

Why fiasco. Is it not 4 modules and 1 spare slot empty in same case. That makes it possible for user to upgrade with extra module. You get 1.25th from one miner if you have spare psu. You cant do this with original miner because lesser quality components original blades cant be run at 250GH without blowing up.

I see this only improvement in design. They made blades better and got 1TH with one blade less. I have original unit of 40 chips, now i want these new units.
I see your point.  I'm mostly disturbed at the way they handled it.  It sounds like they are better units though, so it may be better in the long run.  Either way, people are still interested, so we're leaving the buy open.

Coincraft A1 Chip can do 25-40 GH/s first Dragon miners were running with stock speed of this chip. 40 chips 25GH /chip 1000GH.
http://bitmine.ch/?page_id=863

All this assuming they really improved blades and DC-DC power to handle the 250Gh ~ 31,25GH /chip instead of old model 200Gh ~ 25GH /chip. For sake of them i hope they tested this so they didnt stress it out too much. If so then it's a good improvement that chips are pushed up straigh from the factory and users dont need to "improve" them anymore. Better to have factory tuned units instead of users blowing them up trying to OC eaven more.

We will see if these OC blades starts to die in future Cheesy

Older blades were poor in design and underclocked. You should not try to push them 250GH / blade. JointDoctor kindly instructed us lol  Grin dont kill your boards. They knew their design cant handle higer clocks or factory would have shipped 1250GH miners with extra +500$ price. Simple.

I want more of these units so question about shipping. Are you shipping directly from China - EU or will it go from China - US -> EU. I need to pay the VAT so i prefer shipping from China directly.

If new units are 4 slots occupied 1 slot empty. Thats only good. Extra psu and easy to upgrade these to be 1,25TH miners.

Need to find source to buy these extra blades.
