As a long-time Bitcoin hodler, I welcome the current development of Bitcoin and find the increasing acceptance great. But the question arises as to whether Bitcoin can still be considered as money for everyday transactions or whether the idea is outdated and Bitcoin is more of a store of value option like gold than a means of payment.
Why? I try to pay with Bitcoin wherever possible. Fortunately, more and more merchants and services are accepting Bitcoin. Whether directly or through third-party providers. Here are my experiences over the past few weeks.
I wanted to take out a subscription to my favorite streamer. $4.99 payable with Bitcoin. Timely Confirmation Fees, $ 6.71. 134% of the purchase price. Even with an annual subscription, the fees would still be around 20-23%.
Paying my web hosting costs of around $30, Bitcon fees also around $5, which would be 16-17% fees.
The fees may be acceptable for buying a Tesla for $ 40-50k, but certainly not for daily payments.
Due to the scarcity of Bitcoin, it can never be used as money or currency. Whoever has even small portion of it, prefer to hold it till it's value appreciate to a level where he has made huge profit. Bitcoin is seen by many as store of value. New adopters are buying it because they know it's price will shoot up and they find it as good investment. |

Few of you probably know that I am not alone. You all are with me or while doing a great job. Some of you really do not know who is who ? I am not here to convince you to join the 1000 Bitcoin Hero Members Association. I am here to organise some thing that the Bitcoin community need globally.
If you are honest and transparent why don't you create a video with your real self post this on Youtube explaining what your project is all about explaining who you are and what you have achieved in the Crypto world, if you want people to gain trust on you you should come here clean and transparent. Well that's real transparency since for that actions he can explain well the plan and intentions, Many people doubt this so showing his identity by creating a youtube video might gonna help others to understand this. But I will still not convince but let see how this ideas goes. As long as there's no money involve from the people well for sure many will got an interest to participate here, but if there are money needed to be collected to be part on 1000 Hero members association then this is another story. Why op assume that only Hero members should be eligible for this? There are many low rank members who are more knowledgeable and can contribute much better than most of Hero rank members. I don't think this discrimination on the basis of this forums rank is fair. |

Yes I understand there is time for everything and not all info can be released until it is finalised. I wish best of luck to myid and hope to be one of myid token holders  its clear that the holders hope is that the project will have a clear proggress and a clear roadmap i look also the last few updates from MYID team had a good impact on the level of investor confidence, hopefully the IEO will run smoothly and the target is achieved. IEO will end in 9 days and myid founder has himself accepted that they have raised low funds from these IEO. But the good news is they have raised enough to get listed on one of the top exchanges. They say they are considering Bittrex which is a big news. |

Beware those who wish to have an automated escrow system to scam newbies with chargebacks. It is nothing more than a cash grab and they don't care about your security or safeguarding your funds whatsoever.
I would demand at the very least a real escrow agent hold actual funds and be capable of refunding users scammed by these types of automated services. If you require them to put their money on the line, I can assure you that the idea of automated escrow will disappear very quickly.
That's true. Do not trust these escrow providers. It is more risky than doing a trade without escrow. You can always use forum escrow but in that case too always do trade in small parts. |

Don't believe what they say. Have they shown their wallet address? There could be two reasons behind their promoting btc. 1. They got paid by some big whale or exchange. 2. They have actually bought it much earlier at cheap price and now want to pump the price to make big profit. |

Just recently SQUAWK newsmaker interview with the CEO of UBER. At first, the CEO said, they are likely don't want to buy some Bitcoin using their company's money and told, "We're going to keep our cash safe. - Tweet" But after that, the CEO said: "Just like we accept all kinds of local currency we are going to look at cryptocurrency and or #bitcoin in terms of currency to transact. That's good for business, that's good for our riders and our eaters" - Tweet. So, what are your thoughts guys? For me, it's likely they don't want to do what Tesla did, adding Bitcoin to their balance sheet, but considering accepting Bitcoin as payments for their services. Seems still bullish for me. This certainly going to be big if they start accepting crypto. Bigger than Tesla accepting Bitcoin because you need to be whale to buy Tesla for btc. But if UBER start accepting crypto, even common man can pay it. It will also encourage more individuals to buy crypto and use it. |

To me the gradually growing Altcoin is NEO,its called Chinese Ethereum because its also based on updated and modified ETH smart contract technology.I also studied about its development team,very competent and experienced in block chain technology.I think if Ban news in China stop,then this Chinese product NEO can bring revolution in coming years,it may overtake ETH in upcoming few years.This is my extensive research about NEO.Share your ideas.
Even after 2 years since you posted this, NEO is still nowhere closer to Ethereum. Polkadot is fastly catching up with Ethereum than NEO. My favorite alt currently is definitely eth and dot. Both have bright future and can make one millionaire. |

There are many small countries that give citizenship if you invest a lump sum amount, but is it a good idea..? Understanding the technology and making most of it is the right way, If the Indian Govt makes a way to tax the income from crypto, 99% of the crypto community will not even think about leaving the country. The govt will get taxes and we will get our crypto, Win-win situation. Leaving the country would be my last option. I am selling my trust wallet with 99.5 TWT tokens. I can sell for 10% minus market price.
Reason for selling : I need bnb to withdraw funds. At current rate, twt in my wallet valued at $37, it makes no sense to spend $40 to buy bnb to pay fee for withdrawal.
Withdrawal fee is less than $0.8 but on binance, one can withdraw minimum 1 bnb.

I'm surprised to see an abandoned coin like Dogecoin surging in price like crazy. People are overestimating Dogecoin without realizing that it was never meant to be taken seriously. The huge supply of DOGE in circulation, along with abandoned development and innovation, tells me that it should be less valuable than what it is right now (please correct me if I'm wrong). I personally don't think there's any effect on crypto prices right now due to the ban. We did see some decrease in price when the bill was published online. There was a hype in the market regarding the bill for a week or so but after that the market was clam and I personally didn't see any impact on the Indian crypto market due to crypto ban hype. Whatever fluctuations were seen were noticeable in the global market as well. It was indeed a good opportunity to buy when the crypto bill was published a few weeks ago. I didn't buy/sell anything since I am a long term holder and these types of news doesn't affect me  Hopefully, Greyscale will increase their ETH holdings every day, and let's see ETH at 5k$ soon..  That would be a very good scene to watch <3 I do believe ETH price will reach $5k but not so soon. It might take another year for the $5k target to be achieved. I don't want to miss out that. Now its current market price is about 23ish dollar and seated at the fifth spot surpassing XRP in terms of market cap. I think that many crypto enthusiasts see a very high potential for this coin to grow each passing days that why they tend to trust and invest on this coin. I have a strong feeling that it can even reach about 50$ or even 100$ before the end of the this year.

Obviously coinbase is well known. It also has high fees.
LocalBitcoins has no fees to buyers. But there are fees because the sellers charge big markups, not to mention a tremendous amount of verifications to send them. I'd be worried about identity theft more than getting ripped off on bitcoins.
Got verified on Kraken. Is this legitimate? What about Paxful?
Any other more recommended?
Binance is not possible for now. I have to get a new ID with my current address since I've moved since I got my ID. Stupid policy.
Kraken is 100% legitimate. I have done several trades there without any problem. It has been in business for years now. Paxful and lbc also good but beware of so many fraudsters. I got scammed on paxful and thier support didn't help. |
