Block explorer will be accessible within 24 hours but will not be fully synced for 48-72 hours due to -txindex taking time processing each transaction on the entire blockchain.

URL will be posted here once live.

Please make it traKUrSilk.org in honour of our special friend.  Cheesy

I just don't get it...  Trak said he sold his coins but yet he wants to be here to "keep investors safe"...

Dude it's crypto, move on...  Been in this game since 2013.  Seen all the scams you could think of...

Bottom line, people are still working on Silk, Darksilk and Weaver, so what is the point of ranting and raving about every single thing under the sun?

We've all seen shitcoins ok, well Silk isn't one of them and you are not the investors "savior".  All you are doing is pissing the entire team of developers off, even when they try to answer your questions...

Can we stop clogging up the forum?!?  Debating is one thing, but if someone answers you and it's not what you want to hear, you can't lead a horse to water to make it drink!  Take the answer and draw your own conclusion and MOVE on!

And as of late, this has been drama and drawn out responses to questions that have been answered but just not to your liking....

This is my last post regarding this high school drama... Get over it if you don't like it and move on to the next coin!!!  I don't mind debate but I can't read this forum with all the drawn out drama.  For a "funds manager" you sure are acting your shoe size!

Lol there's no way he's doing anything other than trying to push the price down, why else would he deliberately misconstrue almost every single thing he's told. He's been posting here for months and didn't know old Silkcoin doesn't have a developer? I'm still laughing. Funniest part is he's probably the biggest fan the project has, who else would go to so much trouble to try to pick some up on the cheap.

Keep it up trak I say, we could all use the entertainment while we wait for the big release.

It is quite obvious you want us to launch, but what do you want us to launch? An unfinished product which hasn't had testing in the real world?

Why not, instead of this aggressive, sarcastic, unproductive method where all you gain are enemies and haters, try a more polite approach and actually state what it is you want to know and what you would like to see.

I really do not understand your behaviour, it is like a spoilt child at Christmas waiting for his presents.

I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't start outright trolling too now as that seems to be the only surefire way to get a response.

Have you considered starting the crowdsale before completely finishing Darksilk and Weaver? There aren't many other crowdsales done this way (creating the finished product first). It'd give you guys some funds and might speed things up a bit.

Is it something you've considered? With the halvening almost upon us there's a good chance bitcoin's price will continue to increase in the short-term so starting the crowdfunding sooner might give you more funds for the long term.

I apologise, the crowdfunding options have been looked at and are now in the process of being drawn up by Gregory Betz (quantumgravity). I will have a meeting with him this evening and go over the options and also look to pubishing some information on the forthcoming crowdsale here as soon as possible Wink

I really hope nobody is considering a crowd sale for a project previously promised to sterlingcoin (not delivered) then promised to Silkcoin (not delivered) and now claiming no responsibility for Silkcoin... please correct me if in wrong.. isn't this all about Silkcoin? Or have I entered some strange parallel universe..  starting to look like a cash grab for unlimited development time.. If it's been years already, and this isn't a new coin coded from scratch.. with a team of 5 developers?? That can't seem to produce e even a website or a block explorer for the coin being sold on poloniex despite spending more time arguing with the facts then actually developing solutions.. red flags popping up folks.  More and more of them.

Lol I don't know how much cheap Silkcoin you're trying to accumulate but I'm starting to admire all the effort you're putting in.   Cheesy

The price held steady for a long time: now it has eventually gone back to a more "natural" one. This gives more people the chance to jump in before it is too late.

I don't know what a natural price is, but I think the drop is probably more a reflection of people being reluctant to invest in a project with an expected launch date of "it'll be ready when it's ready".
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OK] OKCash |Multicultural |ROKOS |The Social Currency | Bitsquare | OpenSource on: May 29, 2016, 09:08:28 AM
Great work happening here it seems. What other plans do you have for okcash in 2016?

Site update was a huge task, along with Rokos Flavors expanding so well.  On deck is a roadmap, no definite release date though.  Still open to any ideas the community has. Smiley

Rokos crypto learning suite with a small amount of ok included so that young people and people new to crypto can experiment and learn with a real currency?  Smiley

This is a great idea to implement, we already have some ROKOS tutorials and should continue to add more, so it is a great idea to continue to support all the new users to crypto.

OK is decentralized, different users from the community have different plans of projects with it,
among other things over this 2016 we will continue to improve the wallet and network,
we are looking into Self governance systems as well to establish a decentralized organization formally,
as OK works on a decentralized organized voluntary structure already, but it needs to be polished and we
need to set the logistics and system so we can work on documentation and official establishment of it,
same way will continue to work in adoption, improved documentation, new resources for different languages,
rokos developments and improvements, cross collaborations, etc, the list is endless, as every user can create,
help, support in unique ways. Development focus on maintenance and improvement of the core, so OK users can
continue to experience the efficacy of the system, not for nothing OK crypto can claim being the most efficient
Proof of Stake blockchain since 2014.

This are just some of the things devs and the community are working on for this 2016,
you can always join the ok slack at: http://okcash.herokuapp.com to integrate into the community,
organize with other members, or just to have a good time, It's OK.

Everyone can create projects with OK and their own OK roadmaps, OK is open-source;
its design is public, nobody owns or controls OK and everyone can take part.

Q:
Thanks for your response, I have a few more questions. Can you be more specific about the ways in which the wallet and network will be improved? "developments and improvements" and "maintenance and improvement" is a bit vague. What are the projects that other community members have planned? And how do you see a dao structure helping the project?

A:
Sure, developments and improvements will cover things like:  POSv3 (to increase security), selfgovernance (funding for projects), wallet design improvements (like we ve been doing since OK creation, we never stop) among others.

Different community members have different projects, we are decentralized, they dont depend on the core, hence we do not track them directly,
projects the community are developing include, nodes maps, Points of sale systems, some are doing PR strategies, others continue to build faucets or systems where new OK users can gain their first OKCash, others are looking into direct integration in latin american bitcoin exchanges, among others.

**

Q:
From my understanding, like most projects Ok is decentralized in some ways (the protocol) and not in others (core development). At least until you form a dao. Are you still lead developer and do you intend to continue in the role? And if so do you specifically have a roadmap or new features planned for core development?

A:
Kind of, OK is way more decentralized that other crypto projects, overall, that is correct, the only centralized part of OK at the moment is the
core development, we do not have foundations or centralized systems, and the same community are the real leaders, they work for OK,
just like when BTC started to develop, meaning everyone joins and works voluntary over their own terms, there are no bosses and you dont have
to ask for permission to do anything with OK.

Yes, I still am and will continue to be the Lead Developer for OKCash, there's heart in OK, I would love to continue to work with it and the community for years to come.

The only way that I would step down from lead development is by community voting, If at anytime the community feels there would be a better person to manage the core development, they could call for voting. I work hard, happy and constantly for OK, I hope the community continues to bring their amazing support, and feel comfortable with my position as lead developer.

Same way, we are not a close core, meaning that every developer interested in joining and becoming part of the project are free to do so,
It would only require community presentation, a letter on their expected goals and small resume on why would you like to join the core, background/skills check and community voting.

We have already started talking about logistics with some community members and we want to develop a voting system
(for more formal community decision making) and will look for integration with self governance, so we can cut human interaction in the system to make it self sustainable.

**

Q:
My fear is if i were to invest i'd be investing in a project that the lead developer might be looking to hand off responsibility for to the community. And that there might not be community members with the skillset to continue development if you do.

A:
Totally understandable, after all is what happens with 90% of crypto.
I love to work in OK since its creation, OK is one of the few currencies that
are getting build consciously and with the community as first thought,
already cleared some previous questions and let me repeat, the only way that would make me step down,
Is community voting and with the ensuranse and proposal of a better candidate for replacement.

Other than that would be impossible for me to step down,
I am a real supporter and believer for OK and only have its best interest in mind,
hence why since started gave the community strong decision making rights instead of centralizing and empowering just a few with foundations or alikes.  OK is really for the people from the people. I understand all your fears, had a lot of experiences before we came with a solution for all the
crypto scams. Solution was to create a real efficient coin ethically managed, where everything just works and have fun building it, and the why OK got born.

If there's anything else I can help with feel free to contact me anytime over the OK slack or at devteam@okcash.co

Welcome to the community.

Thank you. I'm glad you're committed to the project as you seem to be doing an excellent job and it's clear from your words you believe passionately in it. I'm in.  Smiley

Hi, this is a crowdsale ?  can I get the timing please?

I think Darksilk will have a crowdsale. Silk will have a 1:1 swap (you will need to use Poleniz)without a no fee and unlimited time to swap.

Sorry, the timing for the crowdsale and release dates are unknown.  Our team consists of mostly part time developers/engineers that get paid little to nothing.

Have you considered starting the crowdsale before completely finishing Darksilk and Weaver? There aren't many other crowdsales done this way (creating the finished product first). It'd give you guys some funds and might speed things up a bit.

Spencer is leading this project so we need to defer to him regarding the crowdsale.  I would agree that would make sense and might speed things up.  I would also invest BTC in a Silk Network crowdsale if I could.

I personally can not accept any monetary funds due to a contractual obligation with my new employer.  I was cleared to work on the Silk Network and other open source projects but not for reimbursement.  I suppose my employer might accept funds on contract but they charge $200 per hour for me.  We have other C++ programmers but they too are expensive ($100-175) and we try to focus on clinical informatics software.

Great.  No block explorer and now priming the community for a crowd sale for vaporware.. cmon guys

"vaporware"  Roll Eyes  Give it up, it seems to be about 90% done and hardly any crowdsales start with the product that close to completion.

The block explorer used to be at http://silkexplorer.silknetwork.org

do we have a slack channel?
Yes, we have a Slack channel but we don't use it too often: https://silknetwork.slack.com
PM your email to either Spencer or I and we will send you an invite.

We use Skype for communications and plan to integrate waffle.io for project management.  I like Slack but our team tends to gravitate towards Skype.

Our Waffle sites haven't been fully adopted but you can view our backlog, issue list and progress:

DarkSilk Waffle: https://waffle.io/SCDeveloper/DarkSilk-Release-Candidate
Silk Waffle: https://waffle.io/SCDeveloper/Silk-Release-Candidate

In May, DarkSilk has commits from five different developers that was merged into the main branch.  Another stat to debunk the troll.

Thanks for the waffle links. With everyone hyper cautious about giving dates it's nice to have some way to gauge roughly how much work is still to be done.

Looks like a discount sale on SILK over at Poloniex right now....  Get em while you can...

Honestly i'm surprised the price held up so well for this long, it's been a long road and there are lots of shiny icos for people to dip in and out of.

Can I ask if someone has VESTS are there any good reasons not to withdraw them at this point in time? I don't fully understand the system and haven't had time to read the whitepaper.

If you are actively using the system, you want VESTS (now called Steem Power or powered-up Steem). They determine your influence in upvoting (which can include upvoting your own posts) and downvoting, and also the amount of rewards for voting.

If you are holding longer-term as speculation on the value of the platform, you want to hold SP not regular Steem because the former earns interest (literally anti-dilution payments) and the latter does not.

The disadvantage of SP is that it can't be transferred between accounts or traded on exchanges, and it takes two years to convert SP to Steem (1/104 per week).

Thanks, that's a very clear explanation.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO | LAST DAY 15% BONUS | ESCROW | AFFILIATE COMMISSIONS | TESTNET on: May 25, 2016, 10:08:45 AM
I have one more question in regards to Alty, did he partake in the "pump and dump" of cloak coin?  To be more precise, did he make a profit from the "pump and dump"?

Thanks for your previous answers

I am not sure how much Alty was personally invested in Cloak. If you are asking if he was the cause of the pump and dump then the answer is no. But maybe Alty will want to expound on my answer when he wakes up. It's 3am in France at the moment.

Cloak rose briefly to 350K satoshis iirc and spent a fair while at over 200K sats. For some time it was at an $8M marketcap level and knocking on the door of the $10M, it was doing 2000 plus btc volume a day and during mining it often came second only to litecoin in terms of gpu hashing power. If I'd actually sold my coins during this mega pump I could of earned about 600 btc plus from the 250,000 cloak that I held. I didn't because I thought and was hoping, as were many others, that the price would hold and we had a long term project on our hands. There was no ICO to pay for development, that was paid for out of my own pocket as were the coins that I accumulated from 25,000 to 60,000 sats. I held my cloak as it pumped without selling a single one and I held as it dropped right down to my entry price at which time I marginally recovered costs.

Do you have some info about how collected money from ICO attract on real development ? May be you need to post some roadmap what will be if you gain 200,300, 500,1000 btc ?

This is one for our development team to answer more precisely. The last time a similar question was asked, it stands at 600 btc for our 3 existing developers to work full time for one year. However there are a ton of other costs to consider including marketing which would include being present, participating and talking at cryptocurreny events.

Rise-Web Enhanced Authentication (2FA)

Enhanced Authentication will be delayed a bit. We are integrating PassportJS with the NodeJS Web Application Framework, KeystoneJS, which is the core of Rise-Web, instead of just building it into our fork of KeystoneJS. This will take a bit more time to complete to the specifications of the Core Devs over at KeystoneJS, but we wanted to contribute back something to their project, and we figured Enhanced authentication would be a great thing to give back. We appologize for the delay, but it is coming. It will also be included in our Web-UI when we rebuild it in React.

Rise-Core

We finalized our new bitbucket repository with the fresh pull of Lisk's core repository today. We replayed our changes that we made to testnet, bringing it up to NodeJS 6.2.0 from 0.12.x, updated some package versions so we completely pass a Node Security Project check, and removed extraneous packages, including the DApp functionality in the core, and the custom Lisk-JS package.

I need to finish overlaying the testnet changes onto the Web-UI as well, and we will be ready to move on.

Next up we are going to create an installer utilizing a shell script to enable installation on any Ubuntu Server, and we are going to ensure the entire package runs on our Docker container system. This will coincide with a relaunch of the Testnet so you all can start running your own nodes and delegates without any issue.

Hipchat Pro

Atlassian graciously gave us a free set of Hipchat Pro licenses. We now have access to Hipchat Pro for all of our community memebers. Next Generation Economy and Rise.Vision Dev Discussion

In a couple of weeks we will be hosting a community talk entitled "Next Generation Economy" in conjunction with ThinkTank Coworking in Portland, Maine. We will introduce CryptoCurrencies to the general community, show them some ways in which they can easily get involved, and open up for a bit of discussion on the future of a "manage it yourself" economy. We are doing this to increase our standing in the community, and become a visible presence for CryptoCurrencies in the State of Maine.

Immediately after this talk, we will be holding a Rise.Vision Dev Discussion for anyone who wishes to join. I (Justin R. Donnaruma) will be available to answer any questions you may have about Rise.Vision.

Both of these talks will be streamed via Google Hangouts live, questions will be accepted via Google Hangouts Chat, and will be recorded for viewing at your leisure. Specific date and time will be announced tomorrow once we finalize details with ThinkTank Coworking.

And one more thing...

As I was writing this update, we were accepted into the Microsoft Bizspark startup program!

You forgot to mention how you stalled everyone and made people believe there actually was proper codes and that everything was on the right path.

While it was dumping of course.

You forgot to mention how you were always in "holidays too".

How you were giving deadlines not respected.

Don't act as if you did not create the mess with cloak, at best you still lied to everyone, and when cloak died and the project got taken to someone else.

THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO CODE.

POSA3 cloakcoin technology was only a fantasy at this point.

Go fuck yourself.

Hi monkeydong,

Always such the gentleman. It might of been you that was sending me threatening messages before? One of the reasons I was eager to hand over Cloak to another team... I could be wrong.

At any rate... no scam, just let down by a developer as it's been explained many times before, I have countless screenshots of past conversations with said developer to back up my claims but I took the hit on the chin for such a long time, because I was the face of that coin.

In fact when you say I sent incomplete code I genuinely had NO IDEA the code was incomplete, here is proof of that.

Rise developers are open, public and not afraid to put themselves forward.

There is a bright future with Rise and if you have issues with me, you shouldn't let that cloud your judgement with hate... Rise is much bigger than one individual.

Look at the team, there are already over 8 public people contributing to the project.

Good luck on your travels!

Whatever you say, it can not be considered genuine unfortunately, but that's only for those who remember, after all it was two years ago now.

I would not touch any of your "projects" considering that past.

I can't be a gentleman with people who clearly had no respect towards their investors.

"Good luck".
