401  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 15, 2024, 03:04:56 PM
Just won the high reward back to back but unfortunately I won lotteries instead of BTC or RP.
I know that even lottery can be lucky but only in case I win something out of it.
Good to see that I got the high rewards not once but twice.

402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 14, 2024, 03:19:34 PM
I just wanted to share a piece of advice that I learned early on from Andreas Antonopoulos (if you don't know whom this is, I highly recommend looking up his YouTube page and watching his videos and or reading his book Mastering Bitcoin) never tell anyone how much bitcoin you have.  Andreas use to say it's not our job to teach everyone we know about bitcoin, letting them know we own some "Let that be my job" he would say.

I see so many people that come around here sharing how much bitcoin they own...don't.  Just like any of your finances such as your portfolio or how much your annual salary is..it's no one's business but your own.  Being transparent about these things can be harmful to you in a multitude of ways.  As an advisor this is something I tell my clients all the time.  Your financial info is private and should always remain that way.  I hate these new social media trends where people walk up to strangers on the street and ask things like "how much do you pay in rent" or "how much money do you make a year"...ignore them!

I see where is that coming from. Even I have seen those reels where people walk to strangers in luxury cars or big houses and ask them what they do for a living.
Some people even answered crypto. Speaking about your finances in public can be really dangerous.
It is a basic rule which everyone should be aware of. If people are still speaking about it publicly despite knowing this fact then let them be prey to fraudsters.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the lost BTC? on: February 14, 2024, 03:14:11 PM
I was reading about some cases of people who had many BTC at a time when it has low or no value at all, and didn't care about it, so they eventually lost their security phrases, or hard wallets and now it is lost probably forever.

I've read that the amount that is considered lost can be up to 5 million BTC. That is about 1/4 of the total amount available.

Knowing that BTC has a limit, and we're getting there soon, isn't it possible to have some compensation for those lost BTC?

Something like adding more BTC in an equivalent amount for those lost BTC, or something similar.

Would it be positive for the currency or could bring some caos?

That's the beauty of bitcoin. If you lose it, you lose it forever.
That's how people will take it seriously otherwise nobody would care to keep their private keys safe and there would be lot's of hacking incidents with bitcoin private keys.
But the way bitcoin is designed makes it nearly impossible to modify the supply or the algorithm.
That's how you become the "Owner" of your coins.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETFs hit $10 Billion milestone just one month after approval on: February 14, 2024, 03:08:08 PM
So that's the reason why we have been seeing a good pump in BTC price in last few days.
Bitcoin has crossed $50k price for which we have been waiting a long time. Good to see BTC price back above $50k.

I think people don't understand what decentralization is. Bitcoin is decentralized because of nodes and miners, not because of owners. People buying Bitcoin through ETFs so that these bitcoin are held by institutions in no way diminishes Bitcoin's decentralization. The ETFs have zero effect on nodes and miners.

While that is true one important fact is that if a single entity holds a large amount of BTC it gives them direct power to manipulate the market.
It becomes easier for an entity to manipulate the price if it holds huge amount of that asset.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on this Robert Kiyosaki's thought? on: February 04, 2024, 06:13:44 PM
Stop getting influenced by these influencers and do whatever you can to accumulate as much BTC as possible.
That's the only way to get rich right now. It doesn't matter what Robert Kiyosaki is saying if it doesn't align with your thoughts.
So stop focusing much on it and try finding ways so that at the end of the day you have more bitcoin in your wallet.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin ETF really the best to hold? on: February 04, 2024, 04:34:56 AM
Bitcoin ETF is a way for big institutions to hold BTC indirectly without the hassle of regulations.
Its also for those people who are not technically sound to buy and hold bitcoin.
So for people who already hold BTC in self custodial wallets, should not care about bitcoin ETFs at all.
407  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 04, 2024, 04:17:49 AM
To say the truth, as the experiment has been running for more than 1 year and we have already seen everything it has to offer, I would like to retreat to 12,500 FUN tier level, as it's the best cost-benefit package. However, I'm in a delicate situation, because FUN is too cheap, and by selling it I'm also going to lose a percentage of daily extra income over BTC balance. So, it's probably better to keep holding and locking FUN for some extra profit, for now.

If the FUN token price didn't dump that cheap then it would have been very beneficial.
It was a good experiment though which shows that its still not that bad in case of crash and profitable in bull runs.
Even I am holding the 12500 level and locked it for a year to make an extra gain.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: February 03, 2024, 03:22:33 PM
Glancing through the article https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-rent-agreement-argentina-landlord-tenant one would conclude adoption is striving in Argentina. Paying for a house with bitcoin sounds to me a mistake or lack of financial knowledge. Bitcoin is better than Fiat. Bitcoin increases in value and fiat faces inflation. Why then would one spend Bitcoin instead of fiat on a house rent which may expire in few years? Accommodating the Bitcoin can birth the person more money to pay his next house rent. But fiat wouldn't add any interest in the bank. Moreover the house owner will not hold the Bitcoin.

If we think from the tenant's perspective then spending precious bitcoin on rent won't sound like a good idea.
On the other hand, if I was the landlord then I would be more than happy to get the rent paid in bitcoin.
I would be getting bitcoin on regular intervals thus DCAing bitcoin automatically every month.
409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please I don't know if anyone can help me out of this on: February 03, 2024, 02:28:26 PM
Good evening everyone, I believe that anyone that ask questions can't miss his or her way, that's why I brought this here if anyone can help me out of this.

This afternoon I check my trust wallet which I was having three dollars worth of Bitcoin in it, as it opens, I discovered that it's no longer 3 dollar worth of Bitcoin, but 6 dollars worth of Bitcoin, I was surprised because I knew I never did any transactions, so I click on the Bitcoin to check my transaction history to check how come about the extra 3 dollar worth of Bitcoin, I discovered that the total of 6 dollars was divided into two, the first one is;
*Available balance: three dollars btc, and the second is,
* dust: three dollars btc.

I have heard about dust attack before, and how it being use to track what  goes in and out of that wallet, but I don't know what I really should do next about it?

Please I need your help, please.

You could have just posted your bitcoin address so that others could verify the address and give you a better response.
Instead of speculating how could you have seen $6 you should just post the Btc address instead.
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for acquiring bitcoins. on: February 03, 2024, 02:05:13 PM
What is the essence of buying and hodling Bitcoin like is it to accumulate it till it attains ATH then we sell it off and wait for a dip and start buying and holdling again or just accumulate it and start using it as a digital means of exchange or are we going to continue till the 21 million Bitcoins have be mined, already 19 millions have been mined remaining 2 million because overtime, i have come across several topics about buy and hodl bitcoin so i actually wish to know the sole objective of acquiring bitcoins.

For me, it is the fact that bitcoin's supply is limited and only 21 million bitcoins are available.
So if a person holds just 1 bitcoin then he is holding a huge portion of one of the largest assets in the world.
That feeling is amazing and that is reason why I hold BTc and trying to accumulate as much as possible.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 03, 2024, 12:43:39 PM
Some persons says gambling is not an investment due to its risky levels but a game of entertainment while some persons says investments are likely to be gambling because you don't foresee the future and can't predict the later outcome.

I think I am exploring in this gambling spaces of risk bearers. While being aware about the techniques in the Ponzi Schemes of attracting the audience to invest lower amount and earns higher, the Investors runs greedily out of their emotional controls and then Invest more than they could afford to loose just because they are attracted by the returns of interests.
Now I am one of the audience (investor) who accepted to face the risk too with my own technical contrast that if it works as thought it is assumed that I won but if it doesn't, then it is assumed that I was late and has lost it.
Now, introduced to an ongoing Ponzi Scheme which I got interest on but then, I tends to know how long the platform has been lunched and the number of participants so I would know the risk level I could be, then I learnt it is about a month launched with about 200+ participants.
Drastically, I feel they are not closed to hitting the scam (platform cashes) button yet because they have less number of participants with minimum of funds in the platform yet which determines the factorizations of them considering to hit the scam buttons.
Now, the platform is programed on daily interests accumulations which can be withdrawn on daily basis depended on individuals decisions.
I already invested $20 on two of my accounts which I have   also made a total of $26 in less than 3 days through the daily withdrawal methods and yet my daily interests keep accumulating and I am up to make more cashouts. Lol.
At this level, I hope if anything compromised maybe they finally hits on the scammed buttons I am of no lost but has profited. So, I awaits them to do their worse. 😆.

This is the level States of mind this gambling space has inspired and aspired me to risks bearing. By so doing, I undertake this circumstances to be an investment because it has the potential to yield incomes and otherwise, it is accompanied with a gambling system because it comes with some analytical mindsets with indictments of greeds if not in control of your emotions. So, you either not invest with what you can't afford to loose or you faces emotional breakdowns.

This is my exploit and diverse in gambling of chasing profits.

Lol, I know that taking this risk and winning some profits might be making you feel like doing it more often.
But this risk is not worth it when you already know that the website is a scam and they can cashout any moment.
So there are good chances that you will be losing you funds if you are out of luck at some point of time.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 03, 2024, 11:58:58 AM
Some years ago in my country, a gambler seek for spiritual help to see the result of a match before the match starts. The guy became blind and that was why we read about what he did on the news. If he is not looking for spiritual help to look for money from gambling, he would not have become blind by now. It was a true story.

Some people may seek for spiritual help like astrologers or something related. They will give you the days you can gamble and win more and nothing should be more than that. But we have to be careful. The process of looking for money badly would be the process that something within you will mislead you.

My advise is to just gamble for fun without the help of spirituality.

What do you mean when you say the guy became blind ? Like physically or psychologically ?
Did he became blind and invested all his money in gambling or did he actually become physically blind ?
It sounds insane if he actually became physically blind. Why would anyone in the world do that ?
413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: February 02, 2024, 06:33:56 PM
I started learning how to trade and my teacher just told me this advice that no one has gone broke taking profits when trading. I have always wanted to earn Bitcoin but I have been confused how to start then decided that I'll learn how to trade. I have been reading through the forum and I see lots of advice about holding and it's looking like if you sell you're not doing the correct thing. The first advice I have received is that I should always take profits. My teacher said the profits you take is better than all imagining profits you'll think that you can get in the future if you keep holding. He didn't say holding is bad but I got advice not to neglect the profits that I can take. I got this advice and I want to share it with everyone, always take profits.

That is the best advice by far because I have always regretted not taking profits while I could have.
I am trying my best to develop the skill of taking profits but I often keep holding longer and then lose the higher price.
That way the price keeps falling and I don't sell then the same cycle repeats the next time.
These days I am trying to take small profits when the price is little higher while not selling the full stash.
414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What have you learnt from this forum that has actually saved/ you in real life. on: February 02, 2024, 05:55:44 PM
There are many things that I have learnt from this forum that has saved me from losing all my coins.

1. Saving coins in a self custodial wallet
2. Staying away from phishing
3. Avoid scams
4. Controlling your emotions
5. Investing in potential coins and not falling for shitcoins

These are just a few out of the many things I have learnt from this forum.
415  Local / India / Re: Everything is becoming shitty with the local board. on: February 02, 2024, 05:42:11 PM
Thanks, everyone for replying to my thread, I appreciate what you have written and it does help me. I have been here trying to revive this board and trying my level best to increase engagement. It has been hard and it has been a difficult journey as I am the one who has been the most active member of this local board for a few years now. I have put all my efforts and I have put a lot of time into trying to achieve what other top boards are doing. It has been tough but it has been soothing to see new faces here from early 2023.

I have a few plans that might make the local board more active. I am working on it and as soon as I achieve a goal that has been set by me, I will apply for Merit source. I never planned this, but Heisenberg_Hunter DMed me which pumped me mentally to think whether I can be one of them. It has been 5 years now that I have been active on this forum with the support of you guys I might get it.

P.S. I gave away all the sMerits that I earned through this thread. Please utilize your merits for those who deserve it on the local board. There are a few posts that I felt deserving of under the present circumstances and I could not as I was out of sMerits.

That is the spirit mate. Don't lose hope and just keep hustling. The end goal for the members of this local board is the same.
We have to make this local board a better place and improve our skills in the process and there are a lot of ways to that, we just have to keep finding them.
Keep doing what you do. We are all in this together and let's see where we go.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 02, 2024, 02:56:03 PM
Ofcourse it does more harm because the reason we lose big is because of gambling itself.
Financial losses can happen due to any reason but many people recover from it by working smart.
But the people who lose money because of gambling addiction are the ones who have to face more trouble.
Coming out of gambling addiction is hard and then he also has to recover the money he has lost.
So that directly shows us that gambling losses are worse than other financial losses.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: February 02, 2024, 02:45:52 PM
I don't usually gamble while working but I do make price predictions on freebitco.in once a month and I don't see if it's a working day or not.
So that doesn't count I guess since I am not actively gambling while at work. It should be an prohibited act though.
Work is worship and people should focus on work rather than entertainment at work.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: February 01, 2024, 06:10:02 PM

I believe that before one make a decision in life, they should've already weighed the consequences of making the right or wrong choice, then put their fate on luck coupled with their little knowledge concerning what they're about to decide on, so why complain and play the blame game when things go wrong? "Share your thought on how gambling has come through for you if you got any".

So many gamblers are doing this I know a lot in my neighborhood who blame almost everything, even the weather or the black cat that walks in front of them, this is just their reason so they will not blame themselves so they can go back to gambling, they don't want to blame themselves because if they do that people will question them on why they continue gambling when they will just blame themselves when they lose.
So most of the time they blame the casino like they are being cheated or the casinos are not being fair, they are so self-righteous that they believe that they did the right thing so they cannot lose.

We have so many gamblers who are poor bettors and then blame the casinos for losing a lot of money, some of them even open a scam accusation just to make it appear that the casinos are at fault, when in fact their being a poor bettors or manipulating the rules are what cause their losses or being banned.

We can see such people almost everywhere who do no accept their mistakes and instead blame others for it.
They don't even want to listen what the other is saying and complete blames the other for it.
It's better to stay away from such people because them understand is like digging your own grave.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 06:00:14 PM
Just as we have expressed our concerns about certain gambling advertisements serving as potential triggers, I have observed and I think that there are gambling proverbs or quotes can also play a role in influencing individuals. Look at this Chinese proverb, "If you don’t gamble, you won’t know how lucky you are." From this proverb, it can spur a regular person to explore gambling as a means to test their luck and become hooked. Also, the person who has been gambling will want to continue gambling while being hopeful that someday they would eventually be lucky and hit the jackpot.

What other proverbs or sayings could potentially act as triggers, enticing individuals to initiate or perpetuate their gambling activities?

It's the first time I have heard that proverb. There are 2 similar proverbs I know of.
One is that "You have to risk it to get the biscuit" and the other one is a proverb in Hindi saying that "Risk hai toh Ishq hai" meaning if there is risk then there is love.
So yeah, while we do have such proverbs which attracts us to gambling it becomes our responsibility to be aware of it and maintain healthy gambling habits.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: February 01, 2024, 05:55:15 PM
I have read a lot of thread on this board talking about the need to gamble responsibly and suggesting that gambling is meant to be done for fun and not to be seen as a means of livelihood. While this is theoretically alright, in the reality so many persons actually gamble because they want to get some financial top up from the gamble.

What is mostly common in my neighborhood and that I mostly do is soccer betting and if I am not exaggerating, 90% of the people that do soccer betting do do because they want to win money.

They can watch the match for fun but as long as it involved them paying money before gambling, most persons don't normally see it as fun and this is the reason why after placing a particular bet, if the game isn't successful they continue betting hoping to get a win along the way thervy being seen as addict.

Do you really see gambling as more of fun than a means to a financial end?

how much can you put into gambling before it removes the fun aspect of gambling out of it?

It really depends on the amount of money you are gambling with.
If the amount is ridiculously low then all you have to do is enjoy the game and if you win you get a nice little reward.
That is how you have fun while gambling but for most people greed takes over and then they start betting heavy.
