4141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hitbtc.com scamming me for 50k = 3 BTC and refuse to send my withdrawal till now on: December 20, 2017, 07:52:18 AM
I deposited 3 BTC with hitbtc.com to exchange for BCH

i bought 15 BCH and when i tried to withdraw my coins they keep the request pending for hours and hours

and from what i read after this delay some people waiting for days

i felt phishy and called my lawyer immediatly he told me after filing the complain with a court order we can force the domain registrar and hosting company to reveal owners

i have all screenshots and evidences of the scam attemp and i say attemp because i am still hoping they will send it

i will wait them no more than 6 hours and will start talks with my lawyer on how to get them

if they have a representative here reply to me !! because they dont reply to any support

here is the withdraw id :

3bfe7418-d978-4c1a-a58c-aca471eec0a4

The only active representative on forum is this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=194708, which has not been online for 3 days now. So i really doubt that they are going to respond to you within 6 hours.

If you feel like legal action is the way to go then go for it, but personally i don't think that it will work.

Should have done your research. HitBTC is like a landmine right now waiting for someone to step on. And unfortunately it seems like this time it's you. 15 BCH is no small amount to be lost, i genuinely wish you all the best. It could just be that their hot wallet for BCH is temporarily depleted, or you could also be potentially waiting months for your witdrawal to come. It's hard to tell right now.
4142  Economy / Exchanges / Re: localbitcoins.com vs. original bitcoin rate on: December 20, 2017, 06:44:44 AM
Hey guys,

Why would anyone purchase for such a high price at localbitcoins.com when bitcoin is being sold for less or its original
price at other websites or apps?

Localbitcoins does not act as a vendor of bitcoin. Rather, think of it as just a platform where people can list their offers for buying and selling bitcoin. These people who are listing the offers obviously want to earn from it and take advantage of the spread. They're not interested in selling their bitcoins for less than market rate, they want the opposite to be true.

The reason why you see the spreads so high on localbitcoins is that you're only limited to seeing the payment processor/country you're interested in(meaning less volume in general) and also because the payment methods are a lot more high risk and does not require ID, for example bank transfers which require ID on exchanges.

Nobody would buy high amounts and trade actively on localbitcoins. It's just a conevnient and handy way to get BTC.
4143  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.io - please tell me what you are doing about your long term customers on: December 20, 2017, 06:37:02 AM
If CEX.io monitor this please tell me why you justify your poorer service to established customers because of the increase in new customers. As a long term customer of yours why should I have to wait longer to withdraw fiat because you are taking on more customers than you can manage.

Yeah, they seem to be extremely lousy on their customer support and withdrawals recently. I have no idea what is going on. To be honest if they can't even handle the current volume of transactions and withdrawals going on on their site, perhaps they should just stop accepting new registrations for a while until they actually sort out this mess.

Semes like if you contact their support, they'll just give you promises or empty, automated messages that is worthless.

Hopefully you don't need this fund quickly. Because if you do then you're at cex.io's mercy. This is why you never store what you can't afford to lose on an exchange.
4144  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase Charging a $23.00+ Fee on: December 20, 2017, 06:29:23 AM
I was about to transfer BTC to customer and seen that coinbase is charging a $23.91 USD fee for the transfer of $10 USD in BTC!!!  This is outrageous.  The point of bitcoin is so that you do not pay these large fees for simple transfers.  So is coinbase going under???

Coinbase charges what they spend on your transaction in terms of miner fees. Their fees update live as well to reflect the optimal fees to pay for a fast transaction, even though you can't tweak it to your liking if you think the fee is too high either. You'll just have to go with their fees, and sometimes if the network is congested with unconfirmed transactions, fees will be pretty high.

There is nothing you can do to go around this fee, unless you send it to another coinbase customer or send it to a merchant that accepts coinbase transactions/integrates the coinbase API.

In which case, you won't be charged to send the transaction. But it's rare.
4145  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo Wallet Withdrawal Delay 3 Days Still Pending (Are they professional enough? on: December 20, 2017, 06:14:02 AM
Nothing you can do apart from playing the waiting game. My personal experience with Xapo was extremely bad, so bad that i had to request my account to be closed because i didn't want to verify myself and they never said anything about verification in the first place.

And even when I requested that my account be closed, after i withdrew all my money, it took them like 3 days to respond to my ticket.

So they're definitely not very responsive based on my personal eperience and i have on idea why your transaction is held up. Perhaps they are reviewing for a large withdrawal for safety or something. But definitely no need for this long of a delay...
4146  Economy / Reputation / Re: "FREE" BTC accelerators looks like one person behind on: December 20, 2017, 06:09:51 AM
i have to admit that i must have missed something.
what are these accelerators all about? and how do they work?

btw: i use LTC to transfer me funds if i don't want to wait...

They pretty much copy & paste the transactions from requests on the thread to a free transaction accelerator and beg for tips and farm trust, while the people who use their service think that they are actually getting something unique.

Every single time they provide a service they basically pressure you into donating to them.

Not to mention that Coolwave is an alt of a ban evader and should be banned from this forum. I have no problem with people trying to help newbies by accelerating their transactions, but don't expect a tip for it.
4147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to go mBTC on trading sites on: December 19, 2017, 08:04:34 AM
With the increased volatility and price the last digits don't really seem to useful anymore.

Do you think that the time has come to start talking about mBTC instead of BTC ?

I know it's a cosmetic thing but I think it could break some psychological barriers.

For sure, i think that people aren't yet comfortable with the fact that bitcoin is so expensive and you'd have to deal with so many decimal points. It's a hassle for a lot of people to use these decimal points at the end of the day.

Bits, or mbtc, on the other hand, is much closer to the dollar value that people are used to. Plus it makes bitcoin seem a lot cheaper, even though it's really no different. That way, people can see the long term future of bitcoin more clearly, at least in my opinion.

Obviously this is a very well debated and old topic. But it still deserves attention. If exchanges do all adopt mBTC or uBTC(bits), then i would expect a short term pump of bitcoin price of at least 50%.

It's all psychological, yet it's extremely important, since trading is all psychology.
4148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that BITCOIN hits the 18K$ USD LEVEL.... When will this GIANT BUBBLE burst? on: December 19, 2017, 07:54:56 AM
In your own words, why do you think BITCOIN is about to burst? Or, at which level it will burst?

In my opinion, minimum it is going to go up to is $27-28k. That is if it doesnot break the $30k level which i think it will. So the bubble could really well stretch out to something like $33-35k before crashing in my opinion.

Right now, it's purely speculation and i doubt that there is that many rational actors left in the markets anymore. Everyone's in there for a gamble. And even though right now bitcoin's still bullish, it's hard to see this sustain for years to come.

We can't 20x BTC's price every single year, that's for sure. So either this ends with a crash or growth stops and even goes to reverse slowly.
4149  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Alternatives to Blockchain.info? on: December 19, 2017, 05:15:31 AM
They are clearly the market leaders in terms of online btc wallet.   What are the alternatives?

If you're satisfied with what blockchain.info brings to the table then just keep on using them.

But if you want suggestions:

- Electrum(you have to download it though)
- BTC.com(multisig wallet, trusted)
- Coinbase(easy to buy and sell but at the same time, you don't control your own private keys and support is bad)
- Greenaddress(many options, including nlocktime and multisig i believe)
- Coinb.in(advanced users)

There's also a bunch of others which are more like exchanges than wallets, which i do not recommend using.
4150  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC's dominance of crypto market cap drop below 50%? on: December 19, 2017, 05:00:29 AM
Its currently sitting at about 53%. Its simply mind-blowing that even at record prices for BTC, all the altcoins are rising at break-neck speeds, which I assume is largely due to the dark hand of Wall Street. And as BTC is simply long overdue for a correction, I suspect BTC's dominance could fall within a matter of weeks, if not days..

"To HODL or not to HODL, that is the question." - Shakeyhandspeare

Altcoins are getting pumped as a whole today, i thought i actually saw bitcoin dominance decrease to nearly under 50% today and now it's recovered back up to nearly 51%. So we're basically hanging around that half BTC/half altcoin region.

Eventually i think we will see bitcoin dominance crash just like back in March. Altcoins are increasing in price fast and bitcoin will too, probably to $25k soon but i just don't think it's going to match alt's growth.

In the end though, this is a good time to buy bitcoin and dump alts since the ratio is so low. It will recover eventually to 90%.
4151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst Who Predicted Bitcoin’s Rise Now Sees It Hitting $300,000-$400,000 on: December 19, 2017, 04:24:29 AM
Bitcoin will surge past $20,000 and continue its meteoric march into six figures, according to independent research analyst Ronnie Moas.

“Bitcoin is already up 500 percent since I recommended it in the beginning of July, and I’m looking for another 500 percent move from here,” said Moas, the founder of Standpoint Research, a self-described “one-man operation” based in Miami.

Over the summer, Moas put a $5,000 price target on bitcoin for 2018. At the time, the digital currency was trading at just $2,600. Since then, it has surged to $18,168 as of Monday, according to prices tracked on Coinbase.

Lmao, he was a long way off from his predictions. $5000 in 2018? That was this year back in September. Obviously he is just putting a bunch of random figures out there and hope that bitcoin will continue to go up to prove himself right.

There is absolutely no TA, absolutely no analysis whatsoever actually. He is just "looking" at bitcoin going to 500% more.

$300-400k is very unlikely in my opinion. If it does go to 6 figures during this rally it's going to be a bubble, and it's not going to exceed $200k. $300-400k is absolutely crazy and is sort of like John Mcafee's prediction, which will probably be proven wrong.
4152  Economy / Exchanges / Re: polo withdrawals struggle on: December 19, 2017, 03:19:37 AM
Someone else having trouble with poloniex withdrawals. All my other withdrawals took only couple minutes to process. Today my request is pending already for 5 hours.

For sure a lot of others have had the same issues as you. Actually since mid-year, so you should have done your research.

If you reset your password recently, your limit was hit, or just having a really large withdrawal could have all triggered this. Did you withdraw another coin from the ones that you did previously that went through without delays? If yes, and you want your funds out of poloniex quickly then i would suggest just cancelling the withdrawal, trade your withdrawal coin to the other coin, and then withdraw that.

But otherwise you can definitely keep waiting. But i recommend staying clear of poloniex's path. There is a reason why they're not the top crypto exchange anymore.
4153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week? on: December 19, 2017, 03:15:56 AM
The price dropped a lot last night. Don't know if it can go up or down next week. Want to buy more.

That was a panic dump from some holders i think that brought the price down from nearly $20k to $18k. But no we're recovering to a nice level as well so that is definitely a good sign for now.

This week and next week we'll most definitely see the $20k level be hit, and then after that the same people who dumped early will start buying and it'll become the fomo stage once again. So i'm extremely bullish for the next week or so.

Corrections are going to happen but not now, in my opinion. We've still got a long way to go in the rally i reckon, and personally i'm holding until at least $50k to see what happens and reevaluate my position.
4154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Changelly.com - SCAM PROOF HERE on: December 19, 2017, 02:43:03 AM
all are also silent. They even stopped answering.
it turns out I was simply deceived by 10 bitcoins?

Go to https://www.reddit.com/r/Changelly, create a new reddit account if you haven't already had one in the past, and post your case there. If that doesn't work out for you then PM them on their reddit account https://www.reddit.com/user/changelly_com.

Usually, they respond to reddit requests faster than a lot of the support tickets even though they claim that it's the same.

Anyways, i doubt you'll going to just get scammed 10 BTC. But the chances of you gettincg your funds back quickly is very slim at the same time. You'll probably be waiting some more.
4155  Economy / Reputation / Re: lanangejagat selling bitcointalk accounts not get negative feedback ??????????? on: December 18, 2017, 10:40:58 PM
lanangejagat selling bitcointalk accounts not get negative feedback HuhHuhHuh??

Profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=892476

Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2608167.0

It's posted not even 12 hours ago so chill. You can't expect everyone to be instant, they could be sleeping or just didn't see him.

I mean it's good that you're trying to expose people that are selling accounts but is it really necessary to open up a new thread for every one you find? It makes it seem like you feel butthurt that you're negged for purchasing an account. You could just PM any of the DT members to get this sorted.

Anyways, Lauda or someone on DT will tag him soon.
4156  Other / Archival / Re: Need 100$ loan on: December 18, 2017, 10:39:05 PM
Hi,

Need 100$ in BTC for 2 weeks.

Provide this account as collateral.

Offer your % fee and if it will acceptable for me I will reply.

Thanks.

Your account isn't worth the loan since it doesn't really have any reputation. You need some other collateral for someone to even consider loaning that amount to you, in my opinion.

If you have any altcoins/liquid assets that you would like to offer up as collateral, let me know.

I can't accept bitcointalk accounts since it is highly frowned upon and even though i'd like to trust that you won't default on the loan, if you do then there is really no way that i can liquidate this quickly and at market price, without getting a neg for selling accounts.
4157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you trust the Chinese shippers on AliBaba? on: December 18, 2017, 10:30:32 PM
When you buy from Alibaba, a lot of the shippers don't want to use trade assurance or escrow. Do you trust them?

I don't trust them, but as long as i'm protected by alibaba which like Virosa said works a bit like ebay, i think it's going to be fine. Make sure that you find a reputable seller with lots of history, make sure that they state thet whatever they are selling is genuine(otherwise it's probably a fake and you can't get your money back), and use your common sense.

Also don't use WU or any non reversible payments to pay.

Use your credit card or paypal so you can easily dispute it if you rip. But more importantly just avoid it all by choosing the right seller.
4158  Economy / Lending / Re: 11$ BTC LOAN on: December 18, 2017, 08:45:07 PM
It's CarbonPoker and no, you are not getting access to my account and rob me for 500$

I'll just wait til Friday when I get paid and buy the 11$

The loan repayment will have to wait til then I have no other options.

No worries and glad to hear that you've decided to not take the loan. I'd be dumb to rob you of your precious 0.025 BTC though, my reputation's worth a lot more to me.

Just wondering though, why did you claim that you sent it out and it is awaiting confirmations when you haven't even sent out jackshit? For reference, here is what you said on the other thread:

Quote
Sent out. Give it awhile for comfirmations

And then you locked it as if you actually repaid it. I suggest reopening the therad so that everyone has an idea of what is going on.
4159  Economy / Lending / Re: 11$ BTC LOAN on: December 18, 2017, 08:37:00 PM
Okay, I'm requesting another loan I guess to pay off this one lol

Hey, I'm having some issues. I am trying to withdraw my coins off my gaming site to return the payment but there is a minimum withdraw limit and I'm short 11$ lol Withdraw takes only 2-3hrs. Would you send me the 11 so we can get squared away. I'll send you back 40$ for the inconvenience.

1DJMuKMp4sTjpWiSSMpb92XzqUTfG835ac

He has in fact not payed anything back to the loan i gave him, locked the thread and is now not returning PM's.

He has also told me he has sent partial payment without anything entering my wallet addr or showing me the txid as i had requested.

While i might be shooting myself in the foot, i cannot, in good faith, suggest you grant him a loan.

Dude I'm requesting this to straighten us out. So you're gonna fuck yourself by saying don't grant me this loan?? It's 11$ like wth. You're tripping.

I mean he's not wrong to complain about a loan that's not been repaid. it was given in good faith without collateral. You lied about paying 100% and later 75%. He's not "fucking himself" by complaining. By the looks of it your position indeed looks like a scam

Who would scam for 11$... I'm simply trying to fix this situation.

Then why did you say that you have partially repaid him when you've repaid absolutely nothing at all?

What site did you hold your bitcoins on anyways that has a minimum withdrawal? If you let me hold the account and do the entire deposit and withdrawal process myself(including repaying your previous lender with the funds), then i'll be able to do it.

If $11 is really that small of a deal to you then just buy it off LBC or paxful. Don't insult others when you've lied about repaying the other guy.
4160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy the dip on: December 18, 2017, 02:57:35 AM
Classic retracement from first attempt to break $20,000. We already saw this before in other round numbers, happens sometime. Dip followed with nonsensical CME shorts FUD will be followed by a new ATH in a couple of days. Buy the dip or cry later, be warned.
Same sort of thing with with bitcoin when it was about to hit $10k. People got worried on the first attempt seeing that it didnt' go past $10k probably as a result of either market manipulation with people shorting bitcoin en masse or just profit takers who don't believe in bitcoin climbing much higher.

Exact same scenario. Look at the charts and compare. And what happened with bitcoin after it hit $10k on the second attempt? $10k -> $13k back to $11k and then to $17k and now we are close to $20k.

Same situation here. We could be staring at price close to $30k after $20k is broken the second or even third time around.
