421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: December 10, 2018, 02:50:05 AM
I picked up four pandaminer B3 Pros for $400 a piece last week on Craigslist.  They looked like they have never been turned off for a year or cleaned, but they cleaned up super easy and work great.  I am able to get these 470 4GB to pull 900-950h/s on cryptonite heavy at around 900w with srbminer.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NanoX version v1.0.2 amd scam on: December 08, 2018, 03:39:21 PM
Thing was it wasn't a high hash rate miner so it kind of flew under the radar.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help: troubleshooting GPU driver windows 10 on: December 08, 2018, 02:21:58 AM
if you've modified the bios you might need to run pixel clock patch for the GPU's to be recognized, or manually add drivers through device manager.

425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EVGA PSU - No warranty if Crypto on: December 06, 2018, 06:53:36 PM
Just a note of warning. EVGA is now refusing to cover failed PSUs if they know that they used for crypto.

Caveat emptor.

Strange that they are one of the only companies that support mining and folding.  I would Just call and talk to someone else and also never admit to mining when trying to make warranty claim.

The pools supporting this should be avoided in relation to real quality projects like Ravencoin. The Zelda theme tells me this comes from Minermore. Who seemed to be legit. Avoid them until they rid themselves of this scam. They are going to profit either way though. Pretty sad what greed does to people.

Don't know about the project but Minermore is legit!!!

Won't be after this scam

438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help setting up monitors for Mining at home on: November 04, 2018, 12:23:31 PM
Just get a USB HDMI KVM switch.  I dont know how many rigs you have but 4 ports usually run 50 bucks.  Most people just tunnel in with monitoring software or teamviewer.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MiNinG iS DeAd on: October 27, 2018, 09:45:42 PM
unless you know what you are doing

i started mining last july

my rigs have been paid off by the value of my altfolio

currently, it costs me about $12 per day to mine about $30 worth of ethereum per day

in the current market conditions, thats pretty damn good

so for the noobies

440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 27, 2018, 07:10:57 AM
Few versions of SRBminer ago, I was complaining that that miner reported hashrate and pool reported hashrate have big discrepancy, from few % up to 20%. For example, a 7x vega rig pool hashrate was only 12kh/s instead of 14.5.

Found here only mocking and making fun of, so I simpmy abandoned srbminer and went for another.

Since Monero upgraded to v9, i started using SRBminer again. The hashrate is now spot on - miner reports hashrate is now the same as pool reported hashrate (minus the fee, offcourse)

I am very happy that this problem has been repaired, despite never being admitted here. Thumbs up (y) for development!

There was no problem to "admit" it was clearly user error and its v8 not v9.
