Dear XBM investors,
It has come to our attention that when we left blank PoW blocks to move the blockchain for the first day or so, to make sure there was no freezes like other PoS only coins have had, someone decided to do a massive overtake of the network (11Mh/s right now verse the 250kh/s we were mining with to move the chain).
Because of this, we were not able to send out coins due to "double spending" errors resulting from this anonymous person. As of now the chain is under his control and he can do as he pleases because of this.
We found this immediately during some checks and realize this requires a re-launch. We are not here to scam or let people get screwed over. We said we'd pull this off and we will, but there is no other option at this point.
We will be working with C-Cex as they froze the wallets and will keep backups of everyones balance so they can be refund as soon as things are fixed.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
This will be fixed quickly not a major issue since the coin has no block rewards. Probably done by someone that saw the potential in this coin. Take your time Well this is strange indeed that's someone tried to fuck up the coin's start... Not really, some kid noticed the low hashrate and decided to fuck with the coin - I could've forked it with my measly miner. This is an easy fix, no one will lose anything. |

Seems the lag in getting this going has prevented MetaCoin from actually being the first Escrow Currency. Another coin just launched a while back with the exact same selling point, first Escrow currency. I think it is pawncoin or something like that, but I believe they have beat us to the finish line:-(

snipsnoop and others, can we just not only delete, but ban posters that are here to cause FUD and problems? I'm all for voicing concerns or being constructive toward developers if done tactfully, but we know this place is very toxic, and intentions to FUD are purposeful. Can we as a community here just decide to have zero tolerance to bullshit and FUD? If it's FUD or bs delete. Also everyone knows if there is legit questions they will be answered and almost always a developer in IRC or someone that can help. This is not average coin, and I don't think a company like Apple, or Microsoft would put up with the childish behavior, I would hope on new thread this zero tolerance is applied. If they don't like it, start a new thread about all your FUD and bs. We are planning to lock the thread.. The amount of FUD is insane at this stage. Will either launch a heavy moderated one or move to our own forums. Start a new modded thread here, starting your own forums makes it difficult for new users to find the coin because they can't be bothered with making a new account - like me really. |

Short version--the launch did not go as planned. The devs asked for more time to make it right. Some people--Famine! Floods! The horsemen of the apocalypse! I'm gonna throw rocks at your momma! I want my money back! There's blood in the streets! Everybody's gonna die!!!!!!! Other people--for goodness sakes, calm down everybody. Escrow still has the money and if the devs haven't delivered by Wednesday you'll get your money back. Devs--We're trying! Just be patient. Other people in crypto--HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
