421  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Crypto Coins ★ All Physical Crypto Coin Suppliers ★ Community Thread ★ on: July 27, 2015, 05:43:18 AM
I have a simple question, and its an honest one.

What's the point of physical coins?  Just something pretty to collect?

Not only that, it's also a physical representation of value. People don't seem to get Bitcoin untill they see somehting shiney, it does wonders in accepting bitcoins among your friends and get the discussion going. It's just a PRETTY paper wallet Smiley
422  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Crypto Coins ★ All Physical Crypto Coin Suppliers ★ Community Thread ★ on: July 27, 2015, 04:42:56 AM
Furio,

In your list, can you please note whether the coins are pre-funded, buyer-funded, DIY, or are not wallets. It would be helpful to know these things at a glance. Personally, I'm not interested in DIY coins because they have no resale value once assembled, or non-wallets because they are not really physical bitcoins.

Also, here is another for your list: PaperSafe, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1049428.0 It's a buyer-funded paper wallet with a great design and lots of interesting features.

Most are stated if it's DIY, (funded or prefunded)

I kept a journal which i will share with all of you when the time is right, for now I am taking a moment for myself to regain some strength, I lost over 6 kilo's in 9 days without being on hungerstrike, but being locked up in a small 10x4 meter cage with 15 others with days of 40+ degrees just eats from you. If you feel like donating, send some coins to LRWK1Qg4zpZLzSHYZUkrkqHBqAjpxnG8iV For now you can read back my adventures here https://bitcoinembassy.nl/?s=Niels+Harmsen

PB explained liberland to me, really cool, if I wasn't married and had so much to lose, I would have signed up. A chance to show the world that it CAN be done!

430  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 25, 2015, 09:26:33 AM
Let's say theoretically that you manage to do so; you should be aware that the this reality you traveled from wouldn't exist because you interfered with the past,
creating whole new timeline. That being said, future from that point on would once again be unknown, and the possibility that bitcoin never gets traction it has today would be an option also.
Not to mention xy other paradoxes that scientist predict would happen.
Far better thing you could do is invest today, and prevent future self from creating same thread in the future, wishing you could travel back to 2015.

cheers young troll traveler

Your facts comes from movies obviously. Scientist have calculated that that theory isn't true. You just start an alternative timeline, yet the timeline that allready exists won't change. So no, you won't change the allready existing future, yet you will start a new one. But if you travel back, you won't be affected.... Grin
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in our wallet when we die on: July 25, 2015, 08:12:38 AM

Just like the precious metals in my closet my children will open my trunk and go through my things, find ounces of silver and gold and paper wallets full of bitcoins that are hopefully worth more than the precious metals.
Then have you introduced bitcoin to your children? Smiley
To my wife yes, my children aren't born yet but yes when they are I will make sure they know what it is, there is no reason to raise fools and tell them like my parents told me to put my money in an account that loses 2% yearly while making 1% in interest.

Right, just like the advice just try to fit in.... Or get a high paying job, yeah that's gonna make the world better.... Fit in in a deeply sick and twisted system...
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in our wallet when we die on: July 25, 2015, 06:08:37 AM
If we are having bank account with our name on that, and suddenly we die, what happens to our bank account then? Here's a guide to help you figure out where the money from a bank account goes after death so that you can make an informed decision about what you want to do in http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mybanktracker/what-happens-to-your-bank_b_4860213.html

And then, what will happen to our bitcoin when we die?

People that don't store their passwords for their loved-ones to find if they die, will have their Bitcoins vanished. They will allways be in the blockchain, yet never spendable. You reminded me to explain it to my wife (again) Encryption isnt really her thing Grin
433  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: MAKE 10 BITCOINS WITH 1 BITCOIN on: July 25, 2015, 05:58:00 AM
lol, what is this ponzi shit?
It is not a ponzi, it is a real investment and you have no clue what it is about.

Because you're not giving any clues... It's just the same shit story as 1000's of ponzi's before you Smiley
434  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold.com IS COMPLETELY SCAM on: July 25, 2015, 05:51:50 AM
SCAM ALERT !!!!!
BitGold is completely scam.... I had an account with them and my friend sent $850 to my account to redeem it as he has no bank account to redeem the funds, my balance became $850 and every thing was great..... Then i tried to link my bank account to my BitGold account to redeem these funds, After 1 hour they disabled my account !!!!!!!!!!!! I sent them 4 support message to know what is wrong but NO ANSWER !!!!!!!! After 3 days they sent me this funny mail:
"Your account has been suspended in connection with the distribution of fraudulently obtained funds. The funds have been returned to the original cardholder and your account will remain suspended.
Thank you!
Kind regards,

Melanie

437  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 23, 2015, 10:10:43 AM

440  Economy / Economics / Re: Ridiculous Banking Fee's on: July 23, 2015, 04:57:06 AM
And you haven't taken into consideration the hidden fees. What I hate about banks is that they will hide behind their Terms and Conditions and I bet most individuals, an average daily user like myself didn't even notice that the fees existed. And you haven't consider the fact that there are millions of users using their services each day and the small amount will really pile up.

If it was a small amount, I wouldn't be complaining, but on a transaction of 100 euro, 32 euro's fee's, what the fuck!? Mafia.....

It's ridiculous and a scam. It's clear now that the banksters have been charging over exaggerated fees with the excuse of "running a bank is expensive, we need to charge customers to keep things working". Well, guess what, now we have BTC, no more excuses left for them. It's game over.

let's hope they will embrace the blockchain tech then, so they can reduce their fee and time, and not having stupid excuse to charge you those ridiculous high amount for fees

but something is telling me that they will not change anything on that side, bitcoin or any stable altcoin will always be the better choice for this matter

Uhm, IBM Apple Samsung and a few banks are allready researching and implementing the blockchain, THIS will de biggest challenge, soon banks or other companies will launch their own "coin", and I thinkl the masses will go for that, since it's "safe", just like the financial crisis....
