421  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's Make A Faucet on: August 29, 2015, 10:41:52 AM
The guys doing Freebitco.in faucet says the DogeCoin spinoff of the same faucet, hardly breaks even. It's already difficult to survive as a faucet using Bitcoin, so how are you

going to make this work with Ethereum? The userbase of Bitcoin is much bigger than the people using Ethereum, so you guys are going to have a hard time getting this going.

You might survive if your payout is bigger than what most facets are paying in Bitcoin, but your marketing will have to be incredible. Good luck.  Wink

I think a lot of people could be interested. I was looking for a ETH faucet. I'm quite disappointed there is nothing available..

Most of the users begin with "free" coins and if they like how it works they eventually buy some...

ETH developpers should think about it.

Aucune informations sur si ça va re-décoller ou non mais Auroracoin (la fameuse monnaie pour l'islande) a été relancée par une nouvelle équipe.

Nouveau design, nouveau wallet.. Bref, sait-on jamais. Personnellement j'avais un backup de mon wallet Aurora et je l'ai ressorti de l'oubli..

Hi Genesis Mining Community.

I notice some interesting discussions going on here regarding Bitcoin XT etc.

We do try and allow everyone to post their views, negative or positive but as mentioned somewhere elsewhere in the thread we have had to delete posts as the language was bad to say the least.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know about an article which covers what has been going on the last couple of weeks.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/115190/life-inside-a-bitcoin-mine-interview-with-genesis-minings-marco-streng

Have a good Friday and Weekend.

Genesis Mining Team.

Thank you GM. Quite an interesting article, even if your position about XT is still not crystal clear to me..

Even if the majority of your customers support larger blocks (including me), I doubt the majority of your customers support a fork (I don't). There is a difference between being supportive for larger block and support XT.

XT is not only larger blocks, there are other features, including the possibility of "blacklisting" users (read here : http://cointelegraph.com/news/115153/bitcoin-xt-fork-can-blacklist-tor-exits-may-reveal-users-ip-addresses and here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1156489.0 ). This is not acceptable.

Why not support Bitcoin Core but push for a patch ? Feel free to answer...

Great news. I have old Aurora coins I kept just in case :-D

I wish you luck for this "new" project and hope Island will soon be full of Aurora coins.
426  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: X-Value.org - Do not lose your chance to buy Super Shares today! Price: 0.02BTC on: August 28, 2015, 05:48:57 PM
Quick info. Price is now above 0.025BTC pr supershare and my profit is currently 2.25BTC... And it's rising quickly these days.

Yeah, and you will lose it all in the end like an idiot. If you can : withdraw it and run away !

It's an obvious ponzi and a lot of people are going to lose money here.
Why you are so sure?
The site is now paying for more than 1 year without problems!

It' a ponzi. It will work until no body wants to buy "a share" anymore.

When there will be no body to buy your share anymore, how will you get your money back ? You will just keep your worthless share...
Think about it.

Now the waiting game begins, delivery should take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days. Will keep everybody informed & document the package once it arrives.

Pleased to receive your feedback when shipment arrives. Take care.

I'm really curious to have your feedback when the package arrive.

But I have to say I'm quite concerned it could be stolen equipment :-/ Let's wait and see what you receive.

433  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 27, 2015, 02:14:07 PM
Im starting to wonder as well .. the last few days we have had shit luck finding very few blocks. Hashing on Antpool at 500th and getting a 2.5btc payout two days in a row sucks.. and the pool is not on track to do much so far today.

500 th Tongue wow..

Yeah, we had bad luck these last days.

But I think it's probably just some kind of variance and we probably will have lucky days ahead :-)

434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: August 27, 2015, 01:49:56 PM
I ve been asking for GM ROI proof for over a year. I ve been unable to locate a single person reaching ROI with them. Let me post something another users posted in another BTT thread abot GM.

I agree. I know BTC price is quite shitty these days with the fork drama but I'm suffering a 20-30% reduction in payout these days..

I can't believe GM wants to support Bitcoin XT... Damn... it's worse and worse here. WE as customers should be able to vote and determine GM position.

YES I'm for increasing block size but NO I'm not for a fork and NO I will never support XT

Which blocks have you mined Genesis?

I also want an answer here GM.

I'm less and less confident about their business model... I'm so affraid it's half a ponzi or something like it.. The 8% promo code lately looks just like it to me (especially because they lied about having something "really big" to announce.. Some damn webcam, let me laugh...) + they never answer to negatives posts
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: August 26, 2015, 10:42:37 AM
The major difference is the ability to sell your contacts.

If you want to upgrade to a more efficient miner, you just sell and buy something else. If you want to get out, again, you sell your contact with Hashnest.

Genesis Mining lifetime contracts are useless cause there is no contract which can be profitable longer then 2 years. So why do I need a lifetime contract again?

I agree. And Genesis Mining HAS TO implement the selling possibilities. If I could sell my contracts, my ROI would be quite good at the moment..
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: August 24, 2015, 07:27:56 AM
So... what is the BIG news about GM ?

I had the time to watch the webseminar :-)
Webcam installation. No Project x.

lol. What a joke.

Genesis-Mining are you serious ? That's your "big news" ? Your "game changing" news ? Shame on you and your communication team.

Help on: August 20, 2015, 12:32:07 PM

Cheesy

Tout ça pour récupérer 2-3 euros Tongue
