Well thanx to smolen for taken the job as well then Smiley

Well i did not oc mine but this one is a Gh edition as well however for power usage
I had another one but that died a few weeks ago, i was impatient and could not find the bill so i threw it away, i alos sold a few gpu's since they all where no longer paying off in mining.

At present i am tempted to switch it back to 900 Mhz mode because i pay 0.23 Euro Kw/h in us dollars thats 0.32 per Kw/h

At 1000 Mhz i get ofcourse faster shares processing but as anyone can understand the cost of letting this power draining monster run constant will make a huge dent in my wallet when the bill arrives next year in july ....

Our system works different from most countries i know, we pay upfront a set amount each month which is based and previous years usage.  So in my case i pay 345 euro a month upfront this is kinda high but then again i used to have a butload of graphics cards running in the paste. So 342 x 12 months makes 4104 euro.

Last year i had to pay 1600 euro extra on top of the 4104 euro because of 7 months gpu mining with 4 machines.
Ofcourse this amount is not only electra but includes also gas for the heating and cooking and ofcourse the biggest amount is for all the taxes added by government.

So far the progress on mining goes, I got 2 block in the hours it has ran since you released this reaper
And that made me think would it be possible to run the 64 bit reaper as well  ?
I sure would like to test if it does have any effect on the mining speed, with scrypt mining it did.
Not sure it will do anything for blake ..

I still think some people are running asics on blake, they should know its useless.

Thanks for the awesome work Vorksholk

However some are tempted to overclock their gpu, i think psuhing up the memory does not make any difference
If the coin is a true sha256 you could in fact do with memory as low as 300 Mhz.
I must warn though about this memory speeds because several newer models do not like changing the speed lower then the core speed, in my case the 7970 sapphire dual x does run fine at 1000 Mhz core and 300 Mhz on memory

I have been playing alot with the parameters of reaper but i do not see any significant change in performance in any setting the most plain setting seems to give the best result.
But its hard to tell since we are not able to see the hash speed at the program
And the numbers go all over the place with different settings, mostly ending up showing around 80000 Kh on my card
It says 2.05 Gh at the first number but i wonder if thats a real performance of this card with only 22 aggr.
I will post the shares processed after each 1000 seconds

Thats damn nice even with those doubles Cheesy
Ohhh darn the long waits to get our hands on these Wink

You mentioned the thumbdrives did you build a test board as well
Or is it just the thumbs at this point.

anyway for those who want to know real life performance from a knc saturn :
with a 80 plus gold psu 250 volt, using at the wall 260 Gh average using 315.7 watt measured with eu version kill a watt
That makes  it 1.2142 watt / Gh

426  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] Running cgminer/bfgminer on Synology NAS on: October 20, 2013, 08:09:52 PM
I think the thread is kinda dead
Since the fail to get it working on my 411j, i have stopped trying to get it to work
Also because i sold all small miners
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 19, 2013, 09:07:37 PM
Is there going to be a updated bertmod ?
The saturn i have running shows a nice 265 Gh on average so i do not want to mess with it too much
However it would be nice to have those extra stats showing some info about the errors and such
I read about bertmod and was mentioned you need the same version as you use on the miner
however mine is 0.96 and could not find a matching bertmod yet.
428  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner list of orders - October delivery on: October 19, 2013, 01:02:05 AM
My order has been delivered and have to say it was plug and play besides a minor problem with browsers after upgraded the fiirmware to 0.96
Before it was upgraded 232 Gh after 0.96 i see 265 Gh on average

What does it say on ebay a in hand one or a preorder for half november ?
If its a delivered one he payed $7000 without taxes, postage and customs
My saturn which arrived today costed me almost $5000 and thats just the miner, $ 120 postage and taxes

UGH Cry. I cry every time I see those cables. I've got a small handfull of them from old gps's. It would have been more funny to have a usb3 micro plug on the boards though.
Well to be honest i do like these simple cables and that connector they are more sturdy then all the other types i have besides the plain FAT usb 2 / 3 connectors

And gladly widely available the smaller types are fragile and do damage more easily

As far as i can see will both my old psu's available for mining are more then enough power able to feed anything either way

OCZ  GXS700 is a 700watts 3.3v (36A) 5 v (30A) max load 155 watts (combined 5+3.3) and  12 volt 4 x (18A) combined max 680 watts
Antec TPQ 1200 is a 1200 watts 3.3 v ( 25A) 5v (30A) max load 170watts (combined  5+3.3) and 12 volt 6 x (38A) combined max 1200 watts
LoL and if thats not enough i got 3 more if needed Cheesy

Anyway fopr easy of typing i call the 4 board drillbit mini planed system DB4 in my post

It is kinda important to know what it is going to use 5 volts or 12 volts ? and how much power it will need. I do know alot about servers and networking but not in electronics Wink

The reason i ask is obvious i was planning on feeding the still not arrived saturn miner which is supposed to use around 450 watts with the TPQ 1200 however that is a pretty low load for this still very good psu so that would leave enough power to feed the DB4 if i am correct.

However it depends on what voltage the DB4 board going to use and how many watts it will need
What raised the question for me if "lets asume the DB4  use 5 volt 125 watts" will that mean that it still is able to deliver 1075 watts on the 12 volts rails or does it lower that significant?
If the DB4 is going to be feeded by 12 volts then how much power it will need ?

Ofcourse we need not to forget that alot of fans are going to be used as well, in my experience the fans kinda use often more then you think. I tested a the fan from a jala on my power meter and was shocked to see it needed 10 watts, i have not checked if all similar high cfm fans use similar power.
But it simply means that 40 watts minimal will be used for the fans in the saturn and probably some extra for ther beaglebone.

On the downside the antec does not have a power switch at all, i have contacted antec about this issue and still not received an answer
Do any of you here know enough about these psu's to tell me if there is a way to switch it on/off by adding a simple switch on the connector.
I have seen a person selling one with a fairly simple 2 pins switch, so my question is which switch will do 12volts 1 amp or does it need high amp ?
Can it be placed like the paperclip method or does it need another pin setting ?
Some people are telling fairly opposite stories about what happens when you simply pull the plug from the 220volt to turn that psu off
Will it damage the parts of the devices or does it damage the psu ?
There are a lot of discussions being made about this, but since i see answers saying one and other saying the absolute opposite i like to know from someone really knowing what he is saying in that matter.

Talking about weirdness received a small ticket from dhl package seems to be picked up at 12:00
So suppose it has to be moved to shipping

This is usb-mini b :

I really can not believe people not having such a cable, its used on almost all kinda devices Cheesy

If you guys gonna make a nice box with the cards and psu inside and add some extra usb ports, which for instance can run a usb wifi-n300 card that would be awesome Barntech

Can you guys provide some tips for cooling the 4 mini, do the board chips get some coolblocks on them ?

This "in progress" is the longest build ever done
Its now already 9 days since the status changed from paid into in progress

ik blijf bij bitstamp de rest doe ik geen zaken meer mee
local bitcoin heb ik zeer slechte ervaringen mee, men boekt gewoon de betaalde bedragen terug en jij bent je geld kwijt

Well i believe a large power on rented cpu farms like EC2 could be possible
But this is far beyond the hashpower of cpu's
This is more like a large gpu farm, then again bfl had sold fpga devices which was pretty fast
For instance some on bitminter had almost 200 Gh fpga power

On quark many people switched to mine them on EC2 rentals as well that gave us a dent in receiving coins as well
But even with some who rented hundreds of contracts i got minimal 4 to 12 blocks on my cpu's on a day.

However since i do not have any fpga and no miner which i can use on gpu, i will forget about this coin.
In my view the coin is no longer a point of interrest to me

The happy few who got in early and those getting the coins now are laughing their asses off.

Its basically the same as a premined coin, a few persons getting all the coins and all others get close to nothing.

Your wrong there IT does hurt the coin
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLC] Blakecoin fast blake-256 Alt Coin for CPU/GPU/FPGA on: October 14, 2013, 11:56:44 PM
Well after 6 days (almost 7 days now) mining with 3 x 8 core cpu's i give up with 0,0000000000 blocks found

My i7 3770k + amd fx8320 and my E5-2690 have not found 1 accepted single block

Yes i got many unconfirmed but all of them disappeared

Its ammazing that i see almost every 10 minutes a new block being found, however non are being found by anyone other then those special people getting them all

I still have the enormous amount of 12.5 coins which i got from the give aways

I try not to think how much the price in electra it has cost me, but it will not be pretty

I am sorry
But i really really never trusted that guy, yes i have mined at his pool long time ago.
Even back then he was a BIG ASSHOLE asnwering emails and support questions
Thats why i left that nasty persons pool, the fact that people use that pool is beyond me
In my view its the biggest mistake people can make, that guy earns easy money over your backs.
I am not going to insult the ones using the pool, i just feel sorry for them.
