121  Economy / Services / Re: Help me solve this problem on: March 31, 2015, 01:31:44 PM
This is indeed a hard problem because some actually do not care at all, but others like me can get stuck in insane traffic.
However i think charging a fine for not showing up would in my view a good idea, and i think those having a traffic issue should call when they think they would arrive more than  5 to 10 minutes later after the appointment.
It worked for me and most people who allways appear at will, changed their behaviour by either call before they do not show up or actually do show up.
In my work i entered the same rules 20 euro for showing up late (over 10 minutes late) and not call before entering or giving a good excuse.
Some seem to not care at all and i charge them a full consult after 3 times not showing up or not letting me know or giving a good excuse.
When they disappear as customer i kinda not care anymore, they simply refuse to cooperate and thats not what you want.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: think i found the most profitable coin sha256. on: March 30, 2015, 02:37:17 PM
Your probably stuck on btc the only other coin which has been good to me is peercoin
But all altcoins have a pretty low trading volume so they hardly can compete with bitcoin.
The named coin shows only very low trading volume so i guess not even worth looking at.
Stick to bitcoin or gamble on the next high trade volume sha256 coin that it gets a boost.
Peercoin has proven to be at some moments to make more profit, but again its all a gamble.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: March 30, 2015, 11:48:02 AM
I did not get payed since 12 dec so not 20 dec and nothing has changed since that date.
Some people claim to have been payed up to last week, and frankly i start to believe those who got paid is to silence all the others.
To buy more time to get away with this huge scam, because these happy few could prove they get payed.
The never ending pending payement is still showing even though the so called updates claimed over and over again next fix you get paid....
Because those who got paid kept posting i am fine, we got fooled by this posts and we probably never know why some posted they got paid.

Mmeh so whats your concern ?

In my time we trained in similar way, and hide between the civilians in plain sight most never saw us and often ended up in hilarious situations.
I remember a bunch of school busses loaded with young medical students stopped to have a picknick and a long walk stayed for hours between us.
Untill we got the command to move forward, lots of screams and scary seconds for the mostly girly students.
One girl was sitting above my shelter for a while when i came out, and she said after the first shock unbelievable and awesome that we never saw you guys.

127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a service that converts Credit Card payments to bicoins on: March 28, 2015, 05:41:00 PM
cex.io does accept credit cards as well, but you need to get approved by them and deliver info about who your are and such
128  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: PPS, Block withholding and Rentals on: March 25, 2015, 04:23:52 PM
I have rented several times and found it is useless.
As the one who rents the rigs, the chance you make the money you spend is very small.
At some point i leased a few of my machines to others and weird enough that often turned out to be a loss as well.

Now thats weird right because you know how much you get paid, but it often happens that somehow the one in the middle is not allways given the right numbers.

Many times people start to complain that they are missing hashrate and that i have found happens on both sides ( rent and lease ) so in the end often had to deliver longer hashtime while the energy keeps ticking or in case renting had to complain i got not enough hashpower.

So i would not be suprised that the ones at the proxy side (middle) actually am doing what mister pirate did back in the days, make people use you as middleman and pick the cherries without anyone can stop this.
129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recent Antminer S5 prices on: March 25, 2015, 03:38:55 PM
I do not think any miner can be profitable with the constant low price of bitcoin.
Even doing altcoins will not solve anything because you allways have to covert them to btc (trading costs which are extra losses)
For me the time has come to stop mining at all, energy prices are way too high in the netherlands (0.29 euro cent kWh)without company prices.
And ofcourse the import costs which are 21% taxes + import duties, so for me its no use to get any hardware.
I do not have time to trade or hashle with trade bots, so end of story pretty soon for me.
130  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Has mining (vs. simply buying) ever been profitable? on: March 25, 2015, 03:02:46 PM
There is absolute no free energy, that some let other pay for them does not mean its free.
I know alot of students who rented a room which inlcuded energy prices, some of these now have to pay for energy because a previous renter took advantage over the back of others.
A person who i know which leases appartements changed all his contracts for the rentals because some where mining massively in these appartments.
One person even fled from the country because he has a outstanding debt he probably never can pay, because this owner won in court (mining is not considered as normal usage of energy in a rented house).
You can/could only make a fair profit ( so above ROI ) if you have/had a large amount of miners and have cutting edge machines and very low power prices.
If you have time to trade and buy coins you probably can make a bit more profit, unless bitcoin jumps again at a extreme high value.
But i do not expect that to happen anytime soon, it might happen in a few years or not at all.
There is a bubble going on in the stock markets its probably even making it harder for bitcoin to gain some serious value.
Its visible in the Gold market as well, stocks go up precious metals goes down.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine 'to Crackdown on Separatist Bitcoin Accounts' on: March 23, 2015, 10:08:14 AM
Its so darn funny that people seems to believe that the ones fighting on the streets are using btc....
THEY DON'T, the ones using it are the leaders who are hiding in nice places withou any risk with everything at hand....
And i am sure its indeed pretty impossible to stop crypto coins being used by criminals its the best way to hide their money.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We Need To Stop This NOW!!!! [DEVS AND USERS PLEASE READ] on: March 22, 2015, 08:40:25 AM
I think you warning people to be carefull does help a bit.
To secure the whole forum is kinda impossible i think, the only real thing we can do is find out ourselfs if something is having fraudulent product in it.
Alot of these coins never survive after they got a few pumps and dumps and i think these developers actually not care if it contains a coinstealer and other trojan.
The only way to make sure to try to not become a victim is trust your antivirus product that when it says it trojan not to try it yourself.
I think the people without tech knowledge should ask the community to test if something is safe or not
Ofcourse we all know that antivirus products go over the top with reporting some very safe products like miner programs (bfgminer/cgminer/ccminer/sgminer) but on the other hand some people/firms get/got infiltrated with smart scripts who installed a secret miner on hundreds of computers without the owners knowing ( most of the time those people was looking at some kinda funny/sexy stuff)
Or get fooled by some kinda email asking them to NOT click or do click something ( we all know people look/click without thinking Wink )
Alot of nasty stuff can be installed on any machine with the aid of the developing tools made for any product.
It does not help to warn people not to look at emails for instance that was not initiated by you, like emails coming from your local bank.
Still people open them without thinking, so its very hard to protect people against these risks.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best wallet in the world? on: March 15, 2015, 02:16:33 PM
I actually do not trust any online wallet at all.
Basically electrum is fast and nice but is not a good wallet if you get work with tons of small amounts (btc-dust)
Multibit works kinda the same is also very fast but again gets to be a hog when it receives/sends many small amounts
The only program which has no problems with any amount is bitcoin-qt/bitcoind but that is a pain to get updated for people with a slow pc and not so much diskspace on the hard drive.
I use kinda all 3 for different purposes the fast ones are used to handle fast payements and my good old bitcoin-qt has the task to store and hold coins i do not send out too quick or have stored away.( cold wallet ).
134  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Burger initiatief ons geld on: March 12, 2015, 05:24:47 PM
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BEE2] [BEECOIN V2] POW X11/POS Hybrid - Now With CLIENT CHAT Feature! on: March 12, 2015, 01:04:59 AM
No trust - there is no trade .  18.02.2015 sent from allcoin 3200000 Bee2 . They have not yet come .

Ah, I wouldn't know about that, I've never had any Bee2.

Cheers

Graham

as i saw, BEE's wallet was frozen in allcoin
So its better to ask allcoin support about what happen

Trade seem to be normal since its not connect to outside wallet

Simple allcoin owner closed the beecoin trade after my send coins seem to be missing
He replied contact the developer and after that all became silent
The funds are being processed by the wallet so the 2 million are gone but according to allcoin never arrived
Again i got weird errors about already spend coins while I REPEAT never ever spend any at all
Since there is no windows wallet besides the one posted 0.1.0.1 i guess only the linux people could play with the new,
however it somehow constant gave me alot of error messages trying to build it.
Most messages where related to db failures
Normally i disregard those but somehow i had the idea they where more serious ones than i usually see when something is build.
Building a windows wallet is a pain in the behind without a proper setup build environment.
I found my build environment actually failed miserable but it might be related to the free upgrade to win 8.1
For those looking at win 10 its actually still only a new shell and again nothing shocking new besides more bloatware and better ways to spy on you.
Sadly only i can use linux in the family so impossible to use linux as a os here
Linux is running as in a virtual machine here.

I have lost too much on bad coins to even consider spending money on another which obviously is no longer having a community besides 5 or 6 people

136  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it true that strong "social connections" are required for happiness? on: March 07, 2015, 04:59:52 PM
I just saw a PBS show about emotional health that claims "social connections" are required for happiness. Do you believe this is true? ...or
Perhaps it is propaganda to undermine the happiness of independent people who don't always require the "emotional support" of others?

What do you think?
Is it true that strong "social connections" are required for happiness?

Sex is way more important!

Now that i agree on Cheesy
137  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it true that strong "social connections" are required for happiness? on: March 07, 2015, 04:43:11 PM
ofcourse not, you only need a few hundred million bucks thats all.
Social stuff is not needed at all, too many around to try steal your money.

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PesetaCoin][PTC] New Wallet 0.8.8 [MANDATORY UPDATE] on: March 05, 2015, 05:58:34 PM
my antivirus goes berserk about the new release its detecting a trojan
i am not sure what has been changed but the win32 setup and the one showed a few posts back report the trojan

@Baam
You just delete everything in the datamap EXCEPT the wallet.dat then let the program update the blockchain again.
If your lucky it will get your coins as needed, you never have to send them
Just let the new relaod the blockchain
