As a Phoenix Suns fan, I want to join Kyrie Irving in my team Phoenix Suns for Eric Bledsoe and 2018-19 Draft Pick. My team line-up will be D. Booker, K. Irving, J. Jackson, M. Chriss ( Center Tyson Chandler). This will a playoff team for the Western Conference! Mark my post. Quote this post!

Kyrie Irving for PHX Suns!
I don't think so, they are all talented players but they do not have the talent to be considered as superstar.
Also, what is important is not the players only but the coaching as well, the warriors for example will not be a championship team
if steve kerr did not take over the team.

Phoenix Suns was part of the Cleveland Cavaliers' "best possible trade packages for Kyrie Irving". So why not?

This is worth reading and might give you some fearless forecast about where Kyrie should land.

http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2017/07/cleveland_cavaliers_best_possi.html

Brandon Knight got injured so I think this will play and may accelerate the trade if all parties are still interested. The one I read (Bledsoe and Carmelo Anthony) to the Cavs was not very enticing in my opinion, I think the Cavs should get more than that for Irving, I would especially prefer some deal with the Spurs (Aldridge, Green, Mills, etc). Carmelo and making a three way trade with the Knicks is still on the table but I just don't think Melo has that kind of value, similar to Derrick Rose, yes, that would be a great addition for the Cavs, but giving up Irving for "only" Melo and Bledsoe doesn't cut it.

Either way, if the Cavs could get I don't know...Aldridge and Mills, or Aldridge and Bledsoe for Irving (and maybe another role Cavs player like Shumpert) we can argue that Cleveland could even be a better team without Irving this year...
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion on: July 25, 2017, 08:13:01 PM
Most likely neither Jon Snow or Daenerys since I don't see the point in that, I would venture to say that one of them will die and if you press me I would say it will be Daenerys. Jon Snow is not fit to be a king or a ruler, more of a leader and will most likely remain that, so maybe he will hand of the king to whoever gets that title.

However I still think a Stark will rule coming full circle to Ed Stark, so I would say that Sansa is the one that makes most sense now plus it will be a nice story arc for her. We are getting some glimpses here and there from her evolution, if that continues to happen then look out...

Any insider news on where Kyrie is heading?

Well it seems that kyrie's really on his way out as the cavs are right on signing drose probably to fill the void at least with irving's departure. I'm also curious as to how this will play out. It's said that kyrie would prefer the spurs though i don't see anyone in the spurs' lineup that would be a good exchange.

There's no turning back for Kyrie or the Cavs here so it's safe to say he's as good as gone. I think he will go to the Wolves, a strange destination sure but he and Butler are best friends and Kyrie almost demanded a trade to Chicago predraft. Butler also was in talks about joining the Cavs before being traded to Minnesota so I think they will make the impossible to land Kyrie.

The only thing I'm a little skeptical about is that the Wolves won't have any assets to offer. The Spurs on the other hand are eager to unload Aldridge...

I once saw a rumor that kyrie will be traded for aldridge and mills. if this happens, it is a win win for both teams. Parker is old and should be retiring soon and kyrie is a good replacement for him.

I agree that's not a bad deal, for both teams. I would guess the Cavs would include Shumpert or someone on that level. Honestly as a Cavs fan I love Irving and I'll be forever grateful for his part on the championship but after seeing the last season it appears the "experiment" of this Big 3 is not really compatible. Lebron and Kyrie forced too many shots, too many isolation plays and while Kevin Love looked better this last season, he's lost out there. Plus you already have two liabilities in defense with Kyrie and Love. I thing the team needs a change, if they manage to get a couple of decent assets in exchange the Cavs could be stronger. That's not to say that Irving would be a great addition to other team of course.

When we start trading on poloniex ?
every on holding the Ants hope trading on poloniex, but poloniex has not list new coins for a long time!

NEO/Antshares doesn't really need Poloniex at this moment honestly, it's becoming more irrelevant by the minute and I'm not sure what's going on with them, long are the days of Poloniex adding a coin and making a huge rally/pump. I remember when Stratis was listed nothing happened and sit below 10k for many months.

The team and community should be focused on developing the tech and its projects, I've already seen plenty of progress so far and I'm quite impressed how the price remained quite stable recently.

It's taken me about two months, but i have finally migrated back to bittrex. Never wanted to go to polo a couple years ago anyway, but volume dropped off a cliff on trex. With the increased lag and shadiness on polo, combined with newfound volume on trex, I'm happy to be trading there again Grin

Btw, I think this added volume on bittrex is a direct result of the lack of trader confidence in poloniex. Fuck em lol

The many complains about withdrawals issues/delays plus the missing trollbox (say what you will but it was great entertainment at some point!) made a lot of users migrate to other exchanges, even Liqui which started very small has nowadays grown into a reputable exchange, with fast support and decent volume.

Bittrex is great and it appears to be the sucesor, however I'm worried that they'll go the same route if they get too big too soon.

But I get that some more exchanges will make NEO more accesible for more people, it's only logical as not everyone trades at Bittrex, however I think most serious users on Poloniex should already have an account there by now.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: July 21, 2017, 04:33:25 PM
I suppose if there were some actually relevant news, like Lykke had received ANY license to trade other than a "Vanuatu brokerage license" the LKK price would react. But while I believe Lykke's US rep went so far as to anticipate imminent US regulation in the months ahead during the online AGM (from his laptop at the airport), I view this as unsubstantiated, unprofessional and misleading. He doesn't know IF AND WHEN US regulators will give him approval. What if they do not? What is Lykke's business case then?

This is how a lot of regulators I know work: You apply for a license. They examine your application, and if they're favourable or unfavourable they'll give preliminary written feedback, which of course is market sensitive information and will be immediately released by the company in question. Then later the regulator usually - not always - follows up with a final determination granting or not granting, as the case may be.

Lykke has "got people on it". How we get from that to publically stating likely timeframes within periods of months I don't know - or rather I do: that's what the person promising speedy regulatory approval hopes for. What you hope for isn't likely, and shouldn't be presented to investors as such. I think Lykke's hopes of licensing is an example of this. But let's look at another example, the Winklevoss brothers ETF application. It was rejected. Then a whole lot of "news" outlets in the crypto space started reporting the "news" that the SEC will "review" its decision. This isn't "news", it's a statutory obligation the SEC must offer to ALL applicants whose applications are not frivolous.

I do not like Coindesk, Cointelegraph or whatever manipulating the true nature the situation (eg. the SEC rejection of Winklevoss' ETF) to paint a picture not really aligned to reality. I like even less Lykke which claims to want to be a major financial exchange doing it. To me it's just like manipulation at every level - on the LKK price which users can't control, and then on the roadmap.

I don't agree with you but I've seen and perceived the same myself, a sense of expecting too much out of Lykke (at least now). Lykke has many advantages but also disadvantages compared to established companies we already named in past posts. As a brand, their service, app and site is very professional (even more so than its competition) so I think for many users they are "let down" when they find that this is a new industry and mistakes, delays, technical issues will happen. We can't overlook that and expect perfection every single time. But Tempus already asked you from where did you get these false expectations other than yourself? So again you are speculating and stating facts or shouting "manipulation" when you have no clear proofs or evidence that a team member promised something that it's deceitful or unachievable. Personally this is my main beef with you, I appreciate that you are willing to be the voice of dissent as it's very much needed sometimes but not by relying on these tactics which borderline FUD.

I've said many times how companies like Coinbase, Xapo, Kraken, Poloniex and many others are flooded with support tickets and issues. These are 100% centralized services making a killing in profits in most cases. Lykke is still building its infrastructure and onboarding new users slowly, learning what it takes to become one of the giants. It also aims to provide more benefits than these other companies in terms of security, convenience, fiat ramps and direct ownership.

That's not an easy thing to do by any means, that's the bottomline here but Lykke is the only one I know that it's actively working on doing all that and getting more traction month by month.

428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 21, 2017, 04:02:33 PM
At the moment, Derick Rose is negotiating with the Cavs, according to ESPN. The max that Rose can get in Cleveland is 2.5 mln per one season.

It seems that Cavs will bring half of league just to match with the Warriors. But... Wink

I don't know what to think about this one, for me the Cavs should just take it easy and wait for a miracle (and upset in the Western conference or some injury). They are already in the NBA Finals unless Lebron gets injured, I don't see the Cavs even losing one game in these playoffs if they are healthy. Boston did ok but adding Hayward and a rookie won't stop James.

As for Rose, if he can fit into a role player model he could be a great addition, I'm more worried about his attitude honestly not about his fitness or skills.

Somehow true but maybe it was minimized now. Attitude can be changed, at least if he will feel the intimidating aura of Lebron James if they will play as a teammate on the same floor. I see Rose will step down here and will just do what kind of help he can bring to the CAVS.

But still prior to that contribution, the questioned if he can play at leats 50% of Cavaliers game throughtout the season. We all know that this guy is prone injury resulting minimal performance by him in every game.

He is but in recent seasons he didn't have "major" injuries or missed entire seasons which were pretty common for him at Chicago. It's true attitude is something that can be controlled and changed but remember he has a huge conflict at the middle of the season threatning to leave, missing practice, etc. He's definitely a prima donna type of player.

However the Cavs already "reformed" J.R. Smith. No one can deny that, he's not an all star of course but we can all see how he's a very valuable role player for the Cavs, a 3pt threat and a decent defender. He can even be a great weapon from the bench. If Rose can fit in like that in Cleveland he has a much higher ceiling than Smith.

Tezos to me has the potential to be a complete different alternative to both ETH and BTC in terms of governance but also different tech, there's already a need for a strong third decentralized blockchain (but there's no need to have more than 100 either...) especially when considering smart contracts future. I already named in a previous comment how Neo (previously known as Antshares) is another project trying something different too and it's worth researching.

I would say the ICO price (around $0.4 from what I learned with 20% bonus included) is not as overvalued as I thought it would be. Yes it can definitely go lower in a bear market but considering the scope and ambition of the project and how much funds they have to develop the product globally I think it's worth the risk for so much upside potential.

just cutting the quote, but still with melo if he really like to win a ring he needed to adjust and let him play not a superstar but a role player
that will bring support to his new team, look with iguodala and kevin love they played as a back up support even they have a superstar
caliber individual.

Andre Igoudala and Kevin Love didn't became a main man in their respective teams (Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves). They are purely served being a supporting cast in the main lineup.

Carmelo Anthony is the lead player of the Denver Nuggets for many season and it was followed to New York Knicks that's why changing playing style will kinda be hard if he will transfer to another team with already main man on the roster.

I think you are wrong. Andre Igoudala was the main man in Philadelphia when he was there. He posted his best stats while he was with them. Iverson was already in his downturn with his career with Philadelphia that's why they got Andre to fill in the shoes. I guess too much expectations from him was a factor for his "below" performance as a Sixers main man. But now he is enjoying a great career with GSW.

LOL. Kevin Love established the longest streak for consecutive games recording double figures in points and rebounds since the ABA–NBA merger. How can you say that he is not the franchise player in Minnesota Timberwolves. If that alone doesn't proved about him as main man during his stint with the Timberwolves, then I don't know what to say.

Again most are harsh on Carmelo and his career but the guy only played in two teams that didn't make any effort to surround him with talent. He could've gone to a powerhouse but chose to stay and I can respect that. I compare him to Dirk Nowitzki in a way, Dirk is a legend and he pursued that championship for so long but he also played in a great Dallas team with Nash many years and failed. He was outstanding all season long in his championship year with a deep (but with less talent) Dallas team and finally got the title. But Carmelo who shares some similar attributes, never had the chance to have a team comparable to those Mavs, so I think people were always too quick to judge him. He's still young in a way to get a title but it will feel "weird" since he will just have to join an already established team not built around him.

The sad reality is the neither Denver or NY succeeded in building strong, contender rosters. He probably could've pushed a trade or go to a different team but I can't argue with that.

Look at Durant, I don't have respect for him for getting this title at all. He was so close with OKC, feels like cheating, no effort whatsoever just go to the team that beat you and get a ring...
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (LKK) LYKKE speculation on: July 17, 2017, 06:18:14 PM
Look tempus and mtnsaa leave the Richard Olsen thing alone. I hardly think calling a successful businessman a "ruthlessly successful businessman" would give someone an action against me, anonymous or not. The whole point is I never post factually inaccurate things, or personally attack people. Just because there's a soft velvet glove on the outside doesn't mean there's not an iron fist inside it, and there's a lot of successful people I think that applies to.

And no it doesn't bother me at all that Richard Olsen gets supermajority of LKK and makes most profit from Lykke's success, and no tempus from all the documents I've seen he is not the largest capital investor, there were some angel investors and the ICO and that's where most of the funding came from. I don't mind that either, I say good on him. What I mind is the pretense that he's not a hard-as-nails businessman out to make money - if he's not into the money he can pledge half his coins to the Gates Foundation or something. I don't think he should, I just think it's insane to suggest he has no profit motive. But let's just leave him out of it, I think we both agree that we admire him even if you see more selfless motivations in him than I do.

The point is other people put up most of the capital, and Richard stands to make a supermajority of the profit. The question 'is that unfair?' to me is a pointless one. The better question is, is that life? Yes, it is.

tempus I agree with you that once Bitcoin DOES scale with Segwit 2x,and like you I believe IT WILL, then it will go crazy upward. But before that, as we get closer to 1 August, I wonder if some money will get scared out of the market, and I think non BTC coins including Lykke are likely to be more affected by this fear than even BTC. Like you say, we'll see.

I don't really mind your critics and "concerns", you have a lot of good points and things that need to be clarified, plus some are very benefitial for Lykke on how to improve. But it's all over the place sometimes and at other times you are stating opinions as facts, which I don't think is wise, it goes nowhere.

I very much agree on your thoughts on business "leadership" and how of course every businessman should fight hard for its company to make money, however you mentioned the Gates foundation, many CEOs and wealthy people (some already left the position) are really trying to make the world a better place, they are older and more mature and greed is out of the equation already, they have a lot money and power already. You can see that in many personalities like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jack Ma, etc. Others were more ruthless like Steve Jobs if you will! But most succesful people like that end up being the most generous in comparison to people like us that live day to day or month to month.

But to answer your question about "if he's not into the money he can pledge half his coins to the Gates Foundation or something", it's funny but the answer is at Lykke site clear as water although I don't have much more info than that:

Quote
What are the long-term plans of Richard Olsen, the major shareholder?
Richard has pledged his shares to a social cause after fulfilling his other responsibilities.

So as you see, you have to acknowledge that on some topics you are not well informed and we are trying to give you some insights from the other side even if we are not from the development team.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: July 17, 2017, 05:20:00 PM
Coinmarket cap gets to decide what to include in a coin's marketcap. It chooses coins in free float. Whether this is right has been argued at length all over Reddit and Bitcointalk. I have my own view, but that's not important, what's important is coinmarketcap's view, and I think they're entitled to it. Ie. they're not breaking any law or regulation by doing it their way.

I don't see why everyone is so keen to see LKK's full value list on coinmarketcap. XRP people used to demand the same thing (coinmarketcap didn't oblige). Also don't see why people want the full value of LKK including the super-majority not in free float in the owners wallets published. A lot of people have bought into LKK thinking it's a "bargain" at the $50-something million mark. If they saw it was close to $400 million, it wouldn't look like such a bargain.

I agree it's a non-issue for me but there are some who think it's unfair for certain projects. However one can see the CMC side too, they really can't have a proper standard for so many different projects, it's impossible. They can however improve and make it easier to sort them, maybe even group certain similar projects by mining method, ERC20 tokens, shares, funds, whatever so the user can have better information available when researching one. In some cases you can do that already but I find it quiet complicated.

At the end of the day most newcomers and even experienced people like us just look at the main site and top 100. I don't think there's a completely fair or easy rule to "fix" that.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (LKK) LYKKE speculation on: July 17, 2017, 04:45:07 PM
Yes, I tend to agree that in the leadup to Segwit 2x downside risk probably isn't fully priced, so below 15 cents would be a buying opportunity.

What I've said about Richard Olsen is Lykke is a "make Richard Olsen richer scheme". This is patently obvious given that he owns most LKK. It is not even a criticism of him, I think he's a genius. But I don't like this pretense that he's all a lovey-dovey, hug-the-tree, let's all be fair to each other, kindly Scandinavian uncle. If you didn't notice, he's a ruthlessly successful businessman - that's not a bad thing, but pretending to people that this man who owns most LKK is not in it for his own profit is a bad thing.

Your logic is completely flawed and I agree on the comments on Richard Olsen that tempus just gave you. However I can see why you are concerned on "a guy owning most of the coins" concept since you seem to come from a crypto background like most of us. I also would take that seriously when doing due dilligence but you need to change that view with Lykke since you are talking about a company not a protocol or a currency here.

So your argument is wrong in the sense that it can be applied to Facebook/Zuckerberg or the guys at Snapchat who own like 98% of the shares. LKK will become more distributed with time although there's no really a need for that, it doesn't have any benefit whatsoever, you can use Lykke products and services without buying shares in the company just like you use Gmail or let's say Coinbase or Xapo for similar competition examples.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 16, 2017, 08:22:57 PM
Melo is overrated player for me. No offense for his fans. He can't even carry a team even now or distributed much after bringing Denver Nuggets last 2009-2010 season into their first conference finals. That's the highlight of his career and follow up season is kinda not that interesting.

For me, New York Knicks must retained this player if Melo will agree. Revamp their bench as this squad doesn't have a second team. Don't just acquired injury prone player to saved salary cap. They must do what Boston Celtics after their decision to recruit young players and disband their championship lineup. It's a risk worth trying for.

Melo gets a lot of bad reputation but let's face it, he's not on the same level and never was compared to Lebron James or Wade, from his generation. Now the guy played great at Denver and he also got an awful NYK team deep into the Playoffs. But he's not a loser in my mind, he just never had the luck to play in a great team, those Denver and NY teams were completely lacking in the talent deparment, let's be real here.

Either way, now he's older and more injury prone, I still think he can be a great piece to a well established team, he still is an awesome scorer and got more mature with age.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: July 16, 2017, 05:37:15 PM

Yes, it means that you'll get LKK in 365 days (1:1 for LKK1Y).

If you go on settings --> history you should see an incoming transfer plus date of settlement (July 16, 2018).

Thanks Mann, lets hope this capital injection bring some tranquility to the shareholders... (EDIT) I personally think is a good gesture.

Another silly question: Every lykke wallet is, at the end, a bitcoin address, right? If this is the case, and a split happens (two or three blockchains) does it give us any right over the split result?

Sergey Ivliev recently answered a similar question at Lykke's Telegram group:

Quote
In case of a hard fork (though unlikely) Lykke will support both chains and make a market of both versions of BTC. Colored coins will be supported only on one of the chains, which is going to have majority of the hash rate
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: July 16, 2017, 03:40:05 PM
I really wish coinmarketcap would display the true market cap instead of the free float, it's very misleading since pretty much the entire crypto space uses that website

It's a controversial opinion but I think both sides have a good point and they both acted as transparent as possible. I also didn't think much about coinmarketcap before this but now I have a new found respect even if I'm not sure "who's right". If we take the stock market for example the marketcap is composed of public available shares. CMC has to list so many projects with so many different and nuances that I don't understand why it's always under fire (I remember some recent criticism from the SIA team for example). To me it's right down impossible to have a standard, however I can see how it should be easier to sort projects by different rules or group them together.
