But Cavs cannot do anything if Irving is the one insisting of getting out of the team. So the only thing to do is let him go, that's why they got Rose as somewhat to take over the point guard position. We can't compare both, as we all know that Rose is not the same since the injury but what other choices do Cavs have right now? They need someone to cover the void that has been left by Irving, so they gamble and take Rose for 1 year so see how he fits with the team.

I do not think DRose is intended to be a starting point guard. With his status right now, he is just a substitute pg. I think the cavs are imploding but let us see what will be the development now that they have a proper GM. From what I know the proposed trade involves around the Timberwolves, Suns, and Cavaliers. The team who will be receiving Kyrie Irving is the Minnesota Timberwolves as  it is one of the four teams that is preferred landing spot of Kyrie Irving. Additionally the 3rd team involves in the trade is the one who is willing to take some big useless contracts  in order for the cap space to be eligible in the trade.

I see it's a bad deal for San Antonio Spurs. Only Cleveland Cavaliers will benefit of that trade. Why? Aldridge and Mills both showing good performance and improvement last season and in playoffs. If based on performance level, I will pick Aldridge over Shumpert or anyone around that position on CAVS. About Kyrie, his gameplay is not suitable on how Kawhi Leonard is playing. Kyrie is more on isolation plays, very much different from Patty Mills.

We know Popo's system that ball must be rotate all the times if possible which is not the usual system of Irving on the CAVS. Unless this Hall of Famer coach can contained Irving to follow his system.

Good point made. I think Kyrie would have to make a lot of adjustment just to fit on the San Antonio game style. And I think giving up Aldridge will not be a good idea as well because he is one of the main core of the team. If Kyrie is going to move to San Antonio, he shouldn't be just a one man show and lessen his one of one plays. He needs to pass and rotate the ball. And I doubt that Kyrie would ever change his style of playing so its would be very difficult for coach Pop to really fit him in the system.

Kyrie is not the star in the Spurs and if Leonard is following his coach then why can't he, when joining a team it's you who will have to adjust and not the team. There will be a lot of changes when he will be playing in the spurs and I think it will be for the success of the team, he is really needed because ever since Parker is not that as healthy or younger than before, their chances to get into the finals are always compromise.

The idea of Kyrie landing a spot for the spurs is really great since TP is relatively passed his prime already. Kyrie would be a good substitute for him. Though, Kyrie's playing style will surely be change. But, trading LA and Mills. I think it's really bad for spurs, like what have been said. LA and Mills did really have a good season. Both are fit for Pop's style. I think this would really be a bad trade if that will happen for the spurs.

Yes. Solid evidence that Cavs are really preparing for Kyrie's departure. They got a bargain getting Rose, I think there's no shocker there, Rose wants to moved to a contender team much more playing with Lebron. Plus he is not the same Rose anymore and he is more happy that someone still pick him up despite his injury problem. Brandon Knight got injured so I think this will play and may accelerate the trade if all parties are still interested. The one I read (Bledsoe and Carmelo Anthony) to the Cavs was not very enticing in my opinion, I think the Cavs should get more than that for Irving, I would especially prefer some deal with the Spurs (Aldridge, Green, Mills, etc). Carmelo and making a three way trade with the Knicks is still on the table but I just don't think Melo has that kind of value, similar to Derrick Rose, yes, that would be a great addition for the Cavs, but giving up Irving for "only" Melo and Bledsoe doesn't cut it.

Either way, if the Cavs could get I don't know...Aldridge and Mills, or Aldridge and Bledsoe for Irving (and maybe another role Cavs player like Shumpert) we can argue that Cleveland could even be a better team without Irving this year...

Probably he is and now wants to make his break and while it is still early let's see if he can shine alone with his new chosen team. I think he wanted to become a main man and that's why he is making sure that he will get out first with his former team. And also I'm thinking that he lost his faith that Cavs can hit championship.

I think he is disappointed with the result of the NBA finals. Remember they climbed back from 1-3 deficit and won. GSW must be very disappointed with the results but they remain intact and added a another piece, which is Durant. However, on the contrary Kyrie left and look for a new team. Well San Antonio is not a push over, but in ever they face GSW in the semis next season, he will still see the ghost of GSW again. So think the reason for leaving is:

1. He doesn't want to be just a sidekick to Lebron
2. He doesn't trust that the Cavs can win the championship again with the current team
3. He has beef with Lebron that pushes him to go out and look for other team

If I were in his shoe I will feel disappointed too. He's one of the biggest hope for the whole Cavaliers and that's why he thinks that Cavs will feel sorry about it. Rumors are saying and articles on social media says that Spurs is going to be the choice of his heart. This season is giving me some excitement and I can't wait to see this start.

I don't know why people looking forward for irving ,he won't win another ring in cleveland. They won it because Lebron won it. When cavs lose, his teammates garbage and he has no help and LeBron did to Cleveland then more then what he did in Miamu he mad that after irving requesting a trade he will have it harder to leave cavs next season when they won't have irving if traded. Not that he cares but then he would have a better excuse of cavs having won a ring and still having an all star caliber player in irving. Irving knows lebron would bolt any moment and will be stuck in Cleveland with Jr smith and Thomson.

Man Irving is close to our hearts, he's one of the biggest contributor in Cleveland. Look on how he's scoring when Lebron is not on his game. His one of the best assets in the league and we'll we are just feeling sorry about Cav's decision that his going to move and will let go by them.

Real NBA Fan would understand how Irving's contribution for the cavaliers to win the championship in the past, Irving deserve to be treated like a real superstar, he might be at the same level of Lebron James but I am pretty sure he can still improve his talent since he is still young.

He's one of the good players in this era and yeah he deserve better treatment but I like most those players that seeing themselves less important in the league. But the people are the ones recognizing him as an important part of the team and as well as other teams.

I don't think so, they are all talented players but they do not have the talent to be considered as superstar.
Also, what is important is not the players only but the coaching as well, the warriors for example will not be a championship team
if steve kerr did not take over the team.

Phoenix Suns was part of the Cleveland Cavaliers' "best possible trade packages for Kyrie Irving". So why not?

Brandon Knight got injured so I think this will play and may accelerate the trade if all parties are still interested. The one I read (Bledsoe and Carmelo Anthony) to the Cavs was not very enticing in my opinion, I think the Cavs should get more than that for Irving, I would especially prefer some deal with the Spurs (Aldridge, Green, Mills, etc). Carmelo and making a three way trade with the Knicks is still on the table but I just don't think Melo has that kind of value, similar to Derrick Rose, yes, that would be a great addition for the Cavs, but giving up Irving for "only" Melo and Bledsoe doesn't cut it.

Either way, if the Cavs could get I don't know...Aldridge and Mills, or Aldridge and Bledsoe for Irving (and maybe another role Cavs player like Shumpert) we can argue that Cleveland could even be a better team without Irving this year...

For Cavaliers, like I mentioned earlier, will benefit for the Kyrie Irving trade if the SAS players mentioned above are really those who will involved in the trade.  About Melo saga, I don't see he will be a fit to the Cavs BUT if the 3 team blockbuster trade will happened involving the NYK then Cavs should grab the opportunity (of course with still concern with the salary cap).
