421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New folding@home team, with FeatherCoin benefits! on: May 03, 2013, 09:15:11 PM
has anyone else yet tried getting any results about mining and folding at the same time. On amd cards this works great. if someone else could confirm mining and folding with out much lost speed in mining i think more people would give it a shot.

I don't want to slow down the processing power on work units.
Consequently, I am not doing this for FC or anything else... other than I want Stanford to see some rallying power!
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New folding@home team, with FeatherCoin benefits! on: May 03, 2013, 08:22:35 PM
I really like this idea a lot!!
I used to have Stanford, Find-a-drug and Boinc certificates on my wall.

I will dedicate all my hashing power to Folding@Home tonight under the crypto team id!

Not to get too far off topic ... but wasn't Netscape the first producer of a browser/search engine?   Wink

It's a trivial clone. It can be done on a weekend for a programmer familiar with forking bitcoin, maybe a few days more to get familiar with ppcoin. Most of your touted innovations were actually done by me, with ppcoin.

Sunny was the first one so successfully implement POS in a coin.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rumors feathercoin BTC-e Exchange? on: May 02, 2013, 03:51:15 PM
It's because everybody kept saying "Arise, chickun."  They thought they were encouraging Litecoin; instead, they accidentally summoned Feathercoin!

Super ultra mega chicken...
sshhh... no!.... he is legend....
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 10:01:58 PM
The network hash rate is just silly on chncoin.... 185,588 kH/s
BQC's network hash rate is 27,731 kH/s
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 06:56:51 PM
Why CNC, though? Chinese National Coin?

The OP seems to have fled. The coin doesn't look too promising. I guess everybody is stocking up in case it becomes popular in China

He was just here to post the OP last night... I don't get how people can already say that he fled or abandoned the coin or isn't giving any updates, etc.

ChinaCoin is just as promising as Feathercoin. They are the same thing with a different name.

This is the pool stat page: http://p2pool.chnco.in:8800/static/

Configs should be like this:

Address: p2pool.chnco.in
Port: 8800
Username: [Your CNC address]
Password: x

is this dead? i dont get any payout Sad

Like I said, bob's pool is only paying out to 10 addresses, and completely ignores the rest. I mined there for hours with 0 payout. I don't know why he isn't fixing it and paying out what is owed.

I am receiving payments... and my addy is not on that 10 list... so if its ignoring everything else... how do you suppose i am getting paid?
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 04:58:39 PM
[url]]][url][/url]So I mined all night, and according to cgminer accepted 15 blocks, and there are 15 transactions in the CHNCoin client, but my balance and uncomfirmed are both at 0.00 CHN, and my transactions tab shows 0 transactions...

Orphaned blocks will show up as transaction counts with no actual transactions.
Go to the Debug Windows and type listtransactions

why i get this???

i tryed to open the ports and im getting that msg again.. when i open the wallet or when i try to solo mine.

my .conf

server=1
rpcuser=12345
rpcpassword=12345
rpcallowip=localhost
rpcport=8108

Add daemon=1
and
use
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

Might work

server=1
rpcuser=12345
rpcpassword=12345
rpcport=8108

That should be all you need in the chncoin.conf file
Make sure the conf file is in the right place... (%appdata%\CHNCoin -- you are obviously on Windows).

You do not need rpcallowip unless you are using multiple machines across a network.
Start the qt.

mining @ bob's pool , in bob i trust Smiley

LOL, trust nobody Smiley I can see that blocks in the pool is getting accepted, so there should be some payments.

Please read up on PPLNS and p2pool as you need to put some time into it to work.

I am also saying repeatedly that it is an experimental pool until something better comes up.

Wait, did I hear you say this was an experi-mental- pool?
Lol...
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 04:41:56 PM
There is also huge hash power on this chain.
Last I checked it was 79,145,588 kH/s total on the network... that's quite a bit for a new coin.

For a comparison... BQC is only 26,424,496 kH/s on the total network.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] Buying 20k Chinacoins on: May 01, 2013, 04:39:33 PM
Buying 10k CNC for 20 LTC. Sending LTC first only if you have much more posts than me.

Not buying CNC anymore, forget it. FTC sucked, but CNC suck big time.

I am selling 10k CNC for 15BTC / 470 LTC / 5500 FC

10k CNC which you scammed from people mining in your "pool"?

Got any proof? I am only getting a fee of 3% per successfully block that doesnt not become orphans.
Modded source code is on github
Orphans is a problem still, but seem to be better now since diff is up.
You need to read up on PPLNS, as payouts takes longer time than with PPS

It's P2Pool... you cannot 'scam' on P2pool....   sigh...
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: May 01, 2013, 04:37:32 PM
Has ANYONE been paid out by bob's pool recently?

Nope, it seems to be only paying out to 10 addresses, while completely ignore all others that needs to pay out.

My address is not on the summary at the bottom of the screen.
However, if I click on graphs I can find my address.

The most recent payment I received was 11:30 Central time.

Has ANYONE been paid out by bob's pool recently?

Yes.... I was receiving payments -- but it looks like he restarted the pool.

438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRC: Crazy Rabbit Coin : Alt coin with Awesome Premine for Me and my friends on: April 29, 2013, 04:05:06 AM
Send me 0.5 BTC if you want to join Crazy Rabbit's friend list without waiting in queue.

And with this post -- I retract my previous request to mine on this chain.
This is just beyond ridiculous.

Have fun!

May I please mine on your chain  Grin
440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DGM pools -- bitparking, EMC, etc. on: April 28, 2013, 07:44:15 PM
[+1

I read the upcoming changes and I think they are just fine, and necessary, if we want to see Bitparking survive.

While the changes may be justified with respect to the PPS fees, I am still puzzled about the DGM fees. How can other pools survive without imposing any fees on DGM?

To put it differently, what it is that bitparking offers that EMC does not with respect to the DGM?

You mean other than a trustworty op, highly stable pool, the only pool offering merged mining of 3 types of alt coins, good support, regular notifications and updates, backup stratum pools... maybe its best for doublec to answer.

No, really... i do not mean to come off as sarcastic.
Other pools have the same (and higher fees) without even a quarter of what bitparking offers.
