427  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Now on Bitmit: Molex powered USB hub on: July 12, 2013, 11:13:56 AM
I've bought one of these off ebay - very cheap from china but the shipping meant it took AGES!

i can only fit 4 USB miners maximum if i offset them - although this does give me capacity for the two USB fans that are going to blow over the chips... i'll upload a pic once i have it in my PC and setup (it arrived yesterday)

428  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] [UK] 12U Sound proof data cabinet on: July 12, 2013, 10:57:42 AM
hi guys, we've just migrated from an in office data cabinet to full on server room so our sound proof data cabinet is for sale:

http://www.comms-express.com/products/12u-600mm-x-1100mm-sound-proof-server-cabinet/

ours is less than a year old and has a few scratches on the top and the screws have tool marks where they have been opened but otherwise excellent condition.

UK collection only (midlands area)

unfortunately my boss isnt that keen on crypto currencies so GBPs (£) only Sad

430  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] PSUs, 5850, 5870, 560 ti, mobos. on: July 05, 2013, 03:21:50 PM
right then - i'm interested in ANY NES/SNES consoles/controllers

i like the look of that motherboard with the 5 blue PCI-e connectors... also looking for a socket 775 motherboard with 3 or more slots.

Do you have 8GB matched DDR2 800 or 1066 preferably.

I do not have matching RAM for the MSI board you speak of. I have an MSI with a PCU (AMD Sempron), and one without a PCU. They have a lot of slots, on board power button, electronic error code display, it's actually quite nice.

I have at least a SNES console model 1 available, just the controller and system or hookups desired as well? Again, PM me. I might have a spare NES, or at least one that just needs a new 72 pin connector (easy as pie).

fortunatley i wasnt looking for ram for the board - i assume that it is DDR3 rather than DDR2.

Hmm its the SNES stuff that im more interested in - i'm in the UK rather than US so shipping is the biggest issue.

what brands and speeds of 2GB DDR2 do you have?

Country?

In his profile it states Florida... so i assume US.

I'd be interested in a motherboard and possibly any NES/SNES stuff you have Wink

I saw the first pic, and was like "Oh God, not another throw-my-crap-on-a-chair and suddenly you're a bitcoin miner!". But actually that's a nice, clean setup!

Ziptie manufacturers and investors must love you.
If you're building a large rig and you DON"T have a bag of at least 1,000 zipties, you're doing it wrong.

Mmmm 7970s Wink

BTW - what way do those fans blow are they sucking or blowing into the GPUs?
434  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters (waiting to order) on: July 02, 2013, 04:12:02 PM
@IYFTech & @hotwired007,

Your requests make things difficult, because I've offered to cover the funds for the initial payment of this group buy, but unfortunetly, I do not have unlimited funds, and I've not got that much over 50 BTC to hand. If either of you want to join this group buy this late on, the only way we could do it, was if you'd both pay upfront, or you gamble that one of the other users doesn't repay me. :/

I'm happy to wait and see - i would like 2 IF there is any available...

its a shame i missed this - it would be nice to have a dedicated UK forum or section for stuff like this Wink

Flash those suckers to 8GH/s and then tell us what the temps are!  Cool Cool
Still trying to get that Atmel AVR Dragon. It's not quite accessible here in singapore...

looks like a £1 notebook cooler underneath those bad boys Wink i assume its blowing down?
Good eyesight Grin but it's suppose to blow upwards instead. Didn't switch that on because RPi doesn't have enough power once I plug that in...

wont it end up fighting the fans blowing air down? or are you trying to get it to blow the cooler air from underneath upwards?

i have one blowing over my USB ASICs atm Wink
