coin@coin and others, I do have some news to share soon. I probably should have mentioned the delay here after my conversation with elokk. I'll give a heads up here the day before... aiming for early next week...

it's almost

422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: November 02, 2016, 10:08:49 AM
Did you try to talk to them?

A few of us have, I have not personally talked to him. Mostly because i would prefer his person contact info instead of just the normal submit form. If someone knows him personally they should do a smart contract with him to prove it.

I spoke to them on behalf of bitbay few months ago and they replied saying the community needs to show more interest by voting for it to be considered.

Well, its positive^^^. But i think Tristian would need to see reason, why the volume would increase on his exchange. He is quite selective/fussy.
You guys were talking about the potential benefits of the peg system you hope to implement. Play on that, and hope that he finds it interesting.
423  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: November 02, 2016, 07:28:25 AM
how safe would it be to store around 40K Euro on kraken ? (not as Bitcoins, but as Euro) and be ready to buy when it's time ?

I could point u to a good few people who would advise u stromglz not to do that, mostly because they have had their Kraken accounts emptied, and were then told to take a running jump by the exchange.

Kraken has rats m8.

Thieves with backend access to the exchange are operating there and selectively robbing customers.
Go on then. Point these people out. Huh

For those newbies in the audience who haven't yet come to the realization that everything on this site is a scam, and are on the verge of parting with their precious btc for whatever $venture comes next, please take a few days, weeks, or however long it takes to read though this thread. Dig around. Look even further back and know your history.

Understand the telltale pattern of Your Loss.

You will thank yourself later.

So so true^^^

This is just one thread that pretty much sums up, the path of 95% of the 'projects' in the crypto space.

Scams, gross incompetence, and delusional minds.

Oh WOW what can I say, I'm humbled... it's the first time I ever won anything! And a 1 BTCC coin is definitely a worthy prize BTCBTCBTC  Grin
Also thanks to BTCC for organizing this, hope we'll see more such competitions in the future. Everyone can take pictures and it's a fun way to spend some time finding the right spot.

As for my entry it was taken on a Samsung Galaxy S6 (on a tripod), this shows that it's not the fancy equipment but the idea that counts sometimes. Of course better cameras can produce amazing results too. However the best camera is the one that is always with you. Smiley

This made my day... Actually my week!

PS: Congrats to everyone else too, hopefully we'll see even more participation in the future.

Well done, coin....for showing the working people of Canary Wharf what their future looks like!  Cool

Funny enough, that is what I mentioned in the email with my submission: wanted to show the contrast between "The Old Finance" and "The New Finance". Go Bitcoin! Just in time for a nice bull run!!! Smiley

Ha! Nice one. I'll do a similar pic next time im down Threadneedle St.

It should take you under 10 minutes to get hold on how Kraken works, unless you are a moron. It also has much better charting tools than Polo.
Just wow.  Huh

Are people really investing in this coin after ZEC???
Says the ICO whore, with questionable involvement in multiple ICO's.  Lips sealed

With a trust rating as shocking as yours, you really dont have a right to question anything in crypto anymore.

You seem to be completely ignoring my point. You are justifying WHY you are doing it. Im pointing out HOW you are doing it.

How long do you think is a reasonable time for people to swap, until they are not able to physically swap their Draco? Two months? You just wouldn't be able to get away with that decision in the real world. And the reason would be, that token holders need a 'reasonable' time to be informed, and act. Try 6months to a year, with demonstrable efforts to inform.

Why am i even telling you this? You forgotten how long it took Bass to refund all concerned, regarding the car crash, that was TXTCoinNow, a few years ago?

Anyway. I suspect the individual values left after today, will be small enough for you deal with privately, when they come screaming, asking for recompense.

Good luck.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DT-Token - DT Chain - Changing the World Block by Block Use Case by Use Case on: October 31, 2016, 10:48:47 AM
Tomorrow is the last day of the swap. Only 11,985,658.5532 swapped.

What does people waiting for?

Lastmicrosecond.com is what they are waiting for

the swap ends at 23:59:59 BST 31/10/2016

Any Tokens sent after that will be sent back the senders Account.

what will happen to those unclaimed/swapped tokens?
If they become officially 'valueless' (non-transferable), then expect years of angry questions from the returning owners of those tokens, to come.

I expect that Completely, but at the end of the day it's pointless having the travel portal active with ongoing costs and not a very marketable product due to name and Brand.

The main objective is to obtain 500 to 1000 Paid users and using the services if this is not possible then the tokens are of no value in any direction hence the re-branding.

Secondly I cannot force people to swap, So everything will be dealt with step by step by priority.

Main priority is to make the travel service used and service providers happy and new benefits adopted to enhance the service.
You have not given a 'reasonable' time from your notice to swap. Maybe there wont be a meaningful amount of tokens un-swapped for it to be an issue, but you could be storing up trouble for Tamtam and its lawyers, by deciding that token owners are no longer entitled to participate, IMO.

433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: October 31, 2016, 08:14:52 AM
You will not get better analysis about investing in KMD ICO than this guy (who was initially supposed to work with James on this ICO)

Read his honest opinion on james capability, 30,000 BTC cap and potential reward for investors.

I am not entirely closing the door on working with James on his project, but to be frank my passion is on my project to foster an entire crypto ecostem, not just anonymity.

Note I suspect James will probably end up talking about more than just anonymity for Komodo. I think (based on knowing him through many discussions) he will probably tie in what he was attempting to do with SuperNet at some point in the near future. And I know he was enamored with Steemit, so you can probably expect him to throw his hat in that arena as well. Nevertheless, I am nearly certain he can't compete with me on making a better Steemit. Who knows maybe we end up making two projects work together, but that is usually technically difficult (we've discussed such in the past).

I don't think James is a scammer in the sense that I don't think he thinks he is. I think he thinks he is very sincere about accumulating capital to do important work in crypto. He comes from finance apparently and thus apparently believes in raising a lot of funds. I think he shocked everyone when he raised 1500 BTC for the SuperNet back when BTC was closer to $1000 before ETH did their $18 million raise.

Yet I must agree that the anonymous developer aspect, the lack of a visual team doing promotional videos and a conferences (a la Ethereum) to nourish fanboys, doesn't seem congruent with raising $20 million and driving a $billion market cap.

If I ended up working with James on this project, it would mean putting my public reputation on the line and not even being a major party to the BTC raised. I think that would be unfair to myself, but then again money talks in some respect, so it is possible I could be lured with sufficient compensation.

But honestly, I rather go complete my project. And I can say I would not attempt to raise $20 million and I will be a public speaker on my project. And I do believe my project which will attempt to do what Steem attempted but do it correctly. @smooth and I both seem to think a social network market cap wouldn't necessarily be limited to $10 billion or even $100 billion. Even a $trillion is plausible. But getting there is about ecosystem network effects and Metcalf's Law. Review my latest comments in the "Steem is a pyramid scheme" thread. Nobody can say for sure what the outcome will be. I will just say if I get healthy enough, I am going to try to be the first to create a very serious altcoin ecosystem.

So I know which one I will be investing in. But if Komodo would commit to capping the raise at 5,000 or 10,000 BTC and does something about the anonymity of the developers and entire company, then I'd probably suggest buying some morsels of it. At 30,000 BTC, sorry no! I think someone should feedback to them.

It is about time james acknowledge that he wont be able to take advantage of this ZCASH hype and raise 30,000 BTC + 5000 BTC (from BTCD swaps). He will raise more BTC if he limits this ICO to 10K BTC + BTCD swaps now than waiting and hoping that noobs will part with their BTC with this ZCASH hype.

As intelligent as iamnotback is, take note of the constant self-aggrandising nature of nearly all of his posts. Count the number of 'I's he uses to express himself, and ask yourself if a clinically self absorbed character like him, has the necessary capabilities to judge others. Ask this multiple-identity fantasist, what he means by "my public reputation", before you give weight to his opinion of others.
We have 'history' on this forum, so expect a diatribe of rambling text, when he reads this.  Smiley
Just saying.

To open people's eyes. The mass media, do not do anything else! Earlier, the church was the word of truth until a man realized the earth is not a slice but round.
Yes, and not much has changed. Millions of apparently free-thinking individuals are about to give their blessing for a narcissistic, lying, tax dodging, abusive waste of space, to be their 'saviour', of the 'free world'. We have gone from Copernicus to Trump in 500 years, and still, those brain-washed homo sapiens have not worked out how to think for themselves.

"Learn, learn and learn again."
The problem is, the cryptocoin world is a constant revolving door of new money and ignorance coming into this particular space. Its like a compulsory initiation ceremony, that ones ignorance and greed has to take part in, to fully understand. Any attempts made to educate on here, are either met with suspicion, and/or, crowded out by over-excited pubescents with far too much testosterone, posting about their lambo dreams.
I wonder if Theymos is proud of what he over-sees   Undecided

Well I really guess you don't need to be a genious to understand that a new coin with no usage could be quoted 3000 BTC (first trade) and like 30/20 BTC first 6 hours, without having at least the suspect that something fishy was happening!
Unchecked greed, can be a powerful distraction, for even the smartest minds.

438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] Zcash Speculation on: October 29, 2016, 06:47:52 PM
Why?

this really needs answering? it's the same number of coins as bitcoin ultimately. it has no usage. it's centralized. there might be security holes. if a few million were available right now the price would be more like 0.01. the only thing justifying any price is the near total lack of them.

He said he'll look at zcash at 0.1.
I was interested why anyone has a interest in that coin at any price Wink
For some days/weeks before i saw zcash by myself as a good speculation coin. But since my studies i figured out that I'll probably lose my money. That's why i decided to not trade this coin. Doesn't matter at what price. It is just not existing for me.
Zcash is based on new cryptographic research that is very exciting and will provide many use cases. It brings value. So for me it's a question of value proposition. Since the technology is new and untested, has no usage or adoption and just launched I think there's a mismatch between current price and what I value it. It is my belief that the price will stagnate for a very long time and my target is sub 0.1 BTC. Until that time Zcash is of very little interest speculation wise as there's little money to be made in the downward spiral (unless shorting becomes viable, however I think this will take a long time too).

Everyone can see that the lack of supply and current price is madness. Once the price settles down to reality, I will have to look closer. Will I buy? Probably not at 0.1 BTC, but until that price it's so overpriced that it's not worth paying attention to at all. Assuming no catastrophic failure (e.g critical bug), at some price point it will likely be undervalued, and that is when I will buy.

Most altcoins even the scammiest ones still have value to this day. Zcash has something to offer, just not at this price.
Exactly what he said^^^  (although, i cant resist scalping this, volume permitting)

Now that ZCASH launch fiasco is over at Poloniex... LET'S RESUME THE CAMPAIGN TO LAUNCH ICN ON POLO.

Come on guys! Let's do this!  Grin

Anyone who wants Poloniex must complete this form TODAY !

Polo is not going to add ICN if they don't get enough Coin requests for ICN.

If you're too lazy to fill this form, don't be surprised if Polo adds another coin before ICN  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

It clearly says that duplicated entries will be deleted and I guess that form is for the developers and not individuals like us. spamming them won't change anything and probably decrease our changes even .
ICONOMI made everything perfect (If you was here from the beginning you would know) and I don't believe they forgot to contact Bittrex or Poloniex , I'm sure they will add them soon.
Correct.

Since any exchange would need the full cooperation of ICONOMI's operators/devs, when are those bleating for Polo/Bittrex inclusion, gonna realise that at this time, ICONOMI do not want to list this on those exchanges. The form is irrelevant and a waste of your time.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 29, 2016, 12:44:31 PM
so I just opened a kraken account and went through level 1 verification... took about 1 hour, but I'm now able to buy ICN for bitcoin. it's okay I guess for the time being

That was fast Shocked...some people waiting weeks to get verified level one

yeah but honestly, trading is a pain in the ass. it's super complicated and unlike any other user friendly exchange I used so far...
