Electroneum has a "mobile mining experience" but you do get real coins based on the processing power available on your mobile. It checks what you have, but then doesnt actually use said power. It just makes the measurement, which takes as much resources as loading an wiki page.

Many of us believed in Electroneum since the very beginning, but did we expect ALL of this? -310,000 Registered users on the Website -120,000 different investors (First time an ICO had over 100K investors ever) -Telegram had to increase the group limit from 20,000 to 30,000 because of ETN -ETN has the biggest Telegram group in the world -Electromeum already has 10% of the size of Bitcoins userbase (3 million) prior to the Blockchain even going live I would say it has lived up to its hype. It raised 40 Million, and the mobile mining app will come with an optional game, that will come not too long after the launch. There are only two decimal points for ETN and those units will be called eCents, like in BTC they have 8 units past the decimal point called Satoshi. Only having 2 points instead of 8 is because the changed total coins to 21 Billion instead of 21 Million, which just makes ETN transactions more like whole numbers. For example a pizza might be 20 ETN once ETN hits a dollar, instead of .00349 BTC for the same pizza. Its more like real life, which the participants of the focus groups responded much better to. ETN hired 10 different PR firms in 10 different languages, to promote and educate society at/after launch. Google "Electroneum", and watch how many Electroneum Ads follow you around everywhere you go on the internet. NO CRYPTO HAS EVER BEEN MARKETED LIKE THIS IN HISTORY, EVER!!! Make no mistake, there are no doubts that BTC will stay far and away the largest MC by far, but ETN will pass them in number of users when ETN hits 5 million + users in 2018. It would be very good but I have not liked that they increased the difficulty 3x without any announcement. Throwing out all CPU miners. And has problems with DB - sometimes dates, values, etc. are lost. So can not trust that my shares are safe. And what means these deep pits in hashrate..? ETNs difficulty readjusts automatically. thanks for reply, its just that last 2-3 weeks i went from 100 tokens per day to 1-5 .................I understand the complexity changed but for that much i thought maybe something wrong with the pool
Nah thats normal, that's what i was explaining yesterday. Mining is competitive and generally not the most profitable venture you could start. Once the difficulty increases, pehaps depending on the coin (vast majortiy) the base block payout decreases too. Does anybody know if the Electroneum block reward will ever decrease? Has the team said yet what they intend to do when/if all coins are mined? It's probably decades off it will ever come, but It's an interesting issue a few coins have had to deal with. The block reward adjusts. COPIED STRAIGHT OFF OF THE WHITE PAPER Adaptive limits A decentralized payment system must not depend on a single person’s decisions, even if this person is a core developer. Hard constants and magic numbers in the code deter the system’s evolution and therefore should be eliminated (or at least be cut down to the minimum). Every crucial limit (like max block size or min fee amount) should be re-calculated based on the system’s previous state. Therefore, it always changes adaptively and independently, allowing the network to develop on it’s own. Electroneum’s CryptoNote has the following parameters which adjust automatically for each new block: 1. Difficulty. The general idea of our algorithm is to sum all the work that nodes have performed during the
last 720 blocks and divide it by the time they have spent to accomplish it. The measure of the work is the
corresponding difficulty value for each of the blocks. The time is calculated as follows: sort all the 720
timestamps and cut-off 20% of the outliers. The range of the rest 600 values is the time which was spent for
80% of the corresponding blocks. 2. Max block size. Let MN be the median value of the last N blocks sizes. Then the “hard-limit” for the size of accepting blocks is 2*MN. It averts blockchain bloating but still allows the limit to slowly grow with the time if necessary. Transaction size does not need to be limited explicitly. It is bounded by the size of the block. Smooth emission The upper bound for the overall amount of all digital coins is also digital: MSupply = 264 − 1 atomic units This is a natural restriction based only on the implementation limits, not on intuition like “N coins ought to be enough for everybody”. To make the emission process smoother electroneum’s CryptoNote uses the following formula for block rewards: BaseReward = (MSupply − A) >> 18 Where A is amount of previously generated coins. It gives a predictable growth of the money supply without any breakpoints. |

For sure, that will be a dump as soon as the ICO investors receive their coins. Thats the nature of the ICO based cryptos. The real price will be obtained a few weeks later.
Also I like the fact that someone pointed out the reason why this coin is different from IOTA. What makes this coin special that it will be a top 4 coin is something that I have not seen yet.
Answer is largest network. Full launch hasnt happened and its already in the top 10 in number of users. It has around 15% of the size of the user base of Bitcoin already, and full launch hasnt even occured yet, and they still have 70+ million to promote the coin. They wont pass BTC or ETH in marketcap, but should pass them in number of users in 2018. That will put them at #3 IMO |

I sold and bought power ledger and PIVX, which is up 15.00 % and 16.0 % respectively . Not 40% gains, but a few dollars back. I bought a small position in ETN ($500) which I will hodl, and if it drops below .05 ill buy more. But I am not really interested in day trading - too stupid. But it looks like it is your opinion that it will not drop again ?
Why are you worried about it dropping again if your goal is long term HODL? You said you are not a day trader? Ok, me neither. But you still want to time very short term changes in the market for gain? |

What the coin does over the next/last 15 days shouldnt even raise even one of your eyebrows, let alone what it has done in the last 15 min. You thought there would be a huge dump, and now you see it as unlikely. Dont worry about the price on launch. You should be ready to HODL for 12-24 months. You can watch CMC, but cant make trades based on the swings, unless your goal is to be a day trader. My opinion is you made the right decision buying back. Now HODL would also be my opinion as well. |

Even tho i very much like that news i still dont get why ppl keep buying etn now. Price already at 0.107 - and im pretty sure prices are going to drop drastically on launch due to massive dumps.
They might not drop as much as you expect, lots ready to buy also Just like with BTC if everyone is bullish you can just buy alongside the bulltrend and make money which causes an increase in price and more people jump in because of that increase. The net result is situations in crypto where something can run 100%, 1000% and still be profitable to buy. If ETN goes to $1 it's still worthwhile to buy your first ETN at $1 if it moves to $1.10, $1.50, $2.00 and beyond I might agree to parts of that but we wont see ETN even near to be at 1$ in 2018. 21b coins are just too many for that. If you dont believe it just go check coinmarketcap. There are 8 different coins with a supply between 5-65b. The highest pricing one is NEM with a supply of 9b coins @ 0.53$. NEM is at 0.61$ now, so are you saying that ETN cannot do better than NEM in 2018? if so why not? 1$ or even 0.70$ would result in a marketcap of 22b/15b $. That would put ETN on #4, even infront of IOTA. Be realistic. I am heavily invested in ETN btw but all this 1-100$ TO THE MOON WTF BBQ!1!! shittalk just does the opposite of what we need: Trust and healthy growth. 1. Believing the coin would go to $1-$2 is not like screaming moom-lambo-confirmed LOL 2. If ETN reaches a dollar that doesnt make it 20 billion marketcap, more around 5 Billion. 3. 22 Billion marketcap for ETN is totally possible within a year, so 2018. 4. Ne w email from the devs Electroneum Update Hi Everyone! I have some GREAT NEWS for everyone! HackerOne are drawing to a close on their Private Challenge and not one bit of private data has been compromised or accessed by their team of awesome hackers! They found a handful of little bugs, but did not gain access to private keys, wallets, user data or anything scary. That is a HUGE relief for all of us. The HackerOne Challenge officially finishes on Monday and we are now rolling out the last of these little bug fixes and we will be launching (ahem!, cough! RE-launching) Electroneum by the middle of next week! We have not been idle while HackerOne were busy, we've made improvements to the look, feel and functionality of the website wallet system (which will enable iPhone users to make transfers until the iOS app is launched) and the Android app, and we've been contacting hundreds of potential partners to ensure we have some joint ventures already negotiated for once we are up and running. Hopefully by the time we launch next week, we will have something signed and have our first public partnership(s) in place. When everyone plans to BUY on the dip, much of a dip rarely occurs. Based on what I have heard OVER and OVER this is EVERYONES PLAN. When EVERYONE plans to buy on the dip, not much of a dip will occur. This plan only works when you are one of a few with this plan. Everyone cant do it, markets just dont work this way. -There are many out there that believe this will EASILY HIT $1-$2, and I mean 10s of thousands (See: Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Telegram).These people will be fine with 7-8 cents. When everyone "waiting for the dip" sees this, they will quickly lose confidence that their 3-5 cent buy orders will be filled, and stop trying to save a few cents, when THOSE PEOPLE believe that $1-$2 is imminent early next year. -a dip is likely, just not as deep as most think, with 10s of Thousands lined up to buy, the dip gets smaller and smaller with each buyer watching with their finger on the button to buy. -Do you really think a guy like Richard Ells doesnt see this possibility coming and have a counter-strategy in place? -yes 5 Billion coins will hit the market at once, but most wont sell at day one. Think to yourself what percentage you think will sell, and they multiply that by the percentage of their coins they will sell, and then do the math on how many buyers are there, AND THEN TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ALL THE POINTS LAID OUT ABOVE. **** **** ********* I AM NOT POSTING THIS TO "PUMP THE COIN" I AM LAYING OUT THESE POINTS TO GIVE PEOPLE ALL THE INFO OUT THERE, SO THEY CAN MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION AS TO IF THEY REALLY WANT TO SELL, AND TURN AROUND AND SET A BUY ORDER AT 5 CENTS, AND THEN GO TO BED. |

I've invested in Electroneum and I monitor "situation" since beginning. I've said my piece on several flaws i've noticed many times now. People say; "oh there is coins on exchanges how is that possible?" --> Then someone explains nicely how that's coins from mining etc. Think for your self... Volume on daily avg. for past month was 3.5M USD (some days up to 9M USD), on avg. that's like cca. 100-200M coins being traded in ONE single day. There is just no f*cking way in hell anyone can convince me that all this coins on Cryptopia are ONLY mined coins. Just no way. My speculation is that the team is silently selling at huge profits, while we get "NEWS" in form of FACEBOOK posts (who the fuck is using facebook in 2k17 as main form of PR communication anyway???) I wish I was wrong as there is enough scammers in crypto, but unless I see a full report of external audit by someone trustworthy I will stick to my plan and that is to DUMP THIS SH*T COIN ASAP! The coins that are traded each day on Cryptopia are not all mined that day, actually MOST have been bought and sold many times by day traders, or just sold by traders. Good volume being reason for a "scam" and being a reason to DUMP??? LOL, just LAUGHING OUT LOUD at this, sorry. What did I just read? |
