I JUST WON A FUCKING LAMBORGHINI

Congratulations. Did you already decide if you want 4-wheels or BTC?
Good timing, this time the prize is more than twice as much as the previous one. 10BTC, wow. I suspect you know how to play and how to multiply it.

What happens if the user is no longer on freebitcoin? Do they save up that money for themselves or would they give it to the GT holders.  Grin

That's similar to newspapers writing (and people reading) about Royal Family or any other celebrities. It has nothing to do with your life, but you are just curious to know.
For sure many people wait for email confirming thy won, but I do not think pushing 'refresh' button every minute helps  Wink
443  Economy / Exchanges / Celsius Exchange Data Dump Is a Gift to Crypto Sleuths—and Thieves on: October 17, 2022, 10:23:08 AM
Celsius, a cryptocurrency exchange facing bankruptcy, leaked an enormous collection of its users' transaction data through an unusual sort of privacy breach: a court filing. As part of its bankruptcy proceedings—in which the company's owners are accused of pulling tens of millions of dollars worth of crypto out of the exchange before revealing its insolvency—the company's attorneys released a document that appears to include the transaction data of half a million of its users from April of this year until it ceased trading in June. That database was briefly posted as a 14,500-page PDF to the court records website PACER before being taken down—but not before Gizmodo copied it to the Internet Archive, where it was widely downloaded before being removed there, too.

Incredible "legal" leak. More details: https://www.wired.com/story/celsius-user-data-dump-crypto-tracing-scammers/
444  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Quick balance check on: October 14, 2022, 05:50:28 PM
The fastest solution would be to download daily dump of founded addresses (from blockchair or http://addresses.loyce.club/ ), load into local database (for example postgresql) and then have have a program which launches queries to your database.
The fastest solution is this:
How to use
The most likely use is to check a long list of Bitcoin addresses for a remaining balance.
On Linux, use this to find matching addresses (after extrating the compressed .gz file of course):
Code:
comm -12 Bitcoin_addresses_LATEST.txt <(cat mylist.txt | sort | uniq)

All depends on how it is going to be used. If you want to test a bulk of addresses from time to time - then yes, maybe.
If you want to test 1 address every few (mili)seconds, it will be too slow, dedicated (and properly indexed) database will be better.

$param_topic, $param_user and $param_message are all forced to integer values, $gt_lt can only be '>' or '<', $direction can only be 'DESC' or empty. If you can see something that I can't, then please point it out, I would appreciate it!

Yes, my fault, I have missed that cast to int. As I am allergic to variables encoded in queries, it blinded me and I haven't seen the whole picture. As a penance I will listen 10 times "The Best of Bryan Adams".  Cry
But still take a look, maybe using prepared statement would give a (marginal) benefit.

Final 3 days to get Golden Tickets my friend swogerino and in the mean time I also saw there is one last 3x RP promotion coming. There is 12 hours plus plus overlapping that time so I will go for 1 more GT I believe, just for a nice round number of 60 (currently 59).

Do not forget you need only 1 lucky ticket ;-)
The 3x promo in the last 24h before the end of GT contest will for sure convince many users to wager their sats, especially that there is no betting ending in the next few hours.

I think Real-Barcelona will collect nice amount of sats! Barcelona did not play well in Champions League and this time again it will not be a easy game. I will bet on Real.

Can't wait to have that feature implemented that way to delete all the messages from DB...
Can you please write English LOL

No worries. You need to understand only „sql injection” phrase.

Apart of obvious issue of not using parameters, isn’t there any cache on db level (I did not use php for ages), to benefit from prepared statements?
448  Other / Meta / Re: Skipping to the next/previous post by the same author (SMF patch) on: October 13, 2022, 02:11:05 PM

Code:
<?php
    $request
db_query("SELECT ID_MSG FROM {$db_prefix}messages WHERE ID_TOPIC = $param_topic AND ID_MEMBER = $param_user AND ID_MSG $gt_lt $param_message ORDER BY ID_MSG $direction LIMIT 1"__FILE____LINE__);
?>

Oh WoW! Do not tell me the rest of DB queries looks like that. Can't wait to have that feature implemented that way to delete all the messages from DB...

Is there a way (API?) to quickly check balance for thousands of public addresses?
Locally (Bitcoin Core) or via any market API?

The fastest solution would be to download daily dump of founded addresses (from blockchair or http://addresses.loyce.club/ ), load into local database (for example postgresql) and then have have a program which launches queries to your database. That way you are independent of network connection, API limitations etc. In long term perspective, this is the best solution (of course you need to update your database from time to time).

Another solution would be to host everything locally - full node, spv server like electrs and then rpc explorer.

The equalizer of Lewandowski is not enough for Barcelona. That goal only delays the day Barcelona will officially be delegated to Europa League. In addition, the outstanding performance of Inter Milan shows that they will likely to win against Plzen. I don't think Plzen will be able to have points from Inter Milan that means Barcelona will know where they will play after a next match day.

haha, yes, I have heard that now they complain about Lewandowsi's goals, as they only gave hope for a lucky ending (not really realistic scenario to be honest), without his goals it would be sure they are out. Maybe indeed sometimes it is better to know how bad the situation is. But still, extra $cash$ is always appreciated.
I think Inter will not have any bigger problems with Pilzen and Barcelona will be clearly out of the game.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 12, 2022, 06:49:53 PM
Almost entered the extra minutes, not a single goal was created. Atlético Madrid is very different now.

FC Brugge did it! 0:0 could be disappointing as we always want goals, but the result means that Brugge team will be in knock-outs! Great news to be honest, it is always good to see a team from a small city winning with the biggest names. Whoever bet they will leave their group, already won a good money.
452  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 12, 2022, 11:12:20 AM
There is no need to record anything as you can check the activity in the daily jackpot and see that the amount gambled there is much higher these last days than it was before, for me this is a clear indication that more and more people are giving it all to get as many GT tickets as before.

You might be right, but the result could statistically wrong, because 1 bet for 0.005 produces 1 GT, but 5 bets for 0.001 do not produce any GT - while the total wagering amount will be the same  Wink
If we want to check something, let's do it in the correct way  Wink
453  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 11:09:06 AM
Did you try to export xpub and see in other application if your addresses are correctly found? (then it will be watch-only wallet of course)
What kind of wallet (addresses) it is? Legacy, Segwit?
454  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 09:39:45 AM
You said that you selected addresses for incoming transactions "manually", not "automatically" - I guess that "automatically" means that address is proposed by Electrum.
Is it possible that you used "change" addresses (yellow ones) for your transactions? Then indeed, maybe you should try to generate new ones using "wallet.create_new_address(True)"
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 12, 2022, 08:56:27 AM
Another match is available in Group C between Barcelona and Inter Milan, where Barcelona must also secure full points, What is your opinion on this?

I think many will depend if they change their mind and stop relying on Lewandowski (only). He plays well in the league, but in Champions League he fails. Maybe he will be extra motivated today.
I think Barcelona will win this time. In the last 2 games it was 2:1 (2019) and 2:0 (2018) - of course we may say it was a different era, but home field helps, no?
456  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 08:49:01 AM
Strange, indeed.
I have tried
Code:
wallet.change_gap_limit(50)
and it worked perfectly. Do you use the latest version of Electrum? (4.3.2)
As I understand you do not see addresses in "Addresses" tab, right? The issue is not that you see addresses but the balance (transaction history) is not updated?

If you execute
Code:
wallet.create_new_address(False)
do you see expected new address?
457  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 08:28:46 AM
Nothing was created automatically, only manually during the year, most of the addresses were paid.

I do not understand now, what does it mean "automatically" and "manually"?

The wallet is generated from electrum seed or from bip39 seed? If it is bip39, do you confirm that page https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (you may download it and run offline) shows the expected addresses?

458  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 08:17:50 AM
I tried it, no new addresses appeared, I tried to increase gap limit to 1000 even. Now when I load electrum, it loaded 1000 addresses, but actually I don’t see it as well as transactions. Also tried to find the BTC address in the same way. The reply from the system was “false”.

Do you have balance on each address or there are big gaps between founded addresses? Do you know how many missing addresses you have until the first founded address, where you are sure there was any transaction?
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 12, 2022, 08:02:23 AM
The manager of Club Brugge KV have done a magnificent job for leading his team to gain 9 points in Group B after 3 games played, but I think it will not be an easy task for Club Brugge KV to beat Atletico Madrid away from their home stadium today. With the home support of playing this upcoming match in front of their home fans, I guess the players of Atletico Madrid will be putting in their best effort and they should be able to emerge as the winner at the final whistle.

I think so. Maybe the good times for Club Brugge are over. I hope not, we need a "new boys" in that games.
Atletico was quite disappointing last days, but we will see. Last game Atletico-Brugge was almost exactly 4 years ago, 3:1. Then there were two games in Belgium (0:0 in 2018 and 2:0 recently)
460  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot restore BTC addresses on: October 12, 2022, 07:57:29 AM
Did you try a "stupid" workaround - try to generate/produce addresses for incoming transaction? If you exhaust addresses which are visible, does Electrum start to produce the "hidden" addresses you expect to see?
After you increased the gap limit, you said it did not work - but what was the consequence? Do you see any new address or there was no change at all?
