I would like to hear what altcoinUK, buy4crypto and Barrabas would like us to do in concise steps that explain clearly your recommendations moving forward.  Not criticism at this point, but specific suggestions to use moving forward proactively.  This way I can better understand what you feel has gone unheard regarding proactive action that can be taken.  Thanks.

Thanks for the constructive post :-) In step one, I would like you finally release the white paper, whatever it is, and please do that soon as it is possible. The white paper that I have been asking for weeks, that your lead developer Pnosker had no idea what the status of that and you didn't even bother to give an update about it for weeks. We both know the completion of such white paper should not take for long weeks, but whatever has happened doesn't matter, just please try to get it out soon as you can. I trust you have the proper understanding of the subject and you will release something that is up to standard. Having said that, whatever you are working on terms functionality, please read first Gavin Wood's cpp-ethereum yellow paper to get an idea what can get 20 million US$ from enthusiastic investors, mainly not terms of subjects (because I guess you are not planning to roll out a new ethereum type of project), but terms of quality and effort put by the developer into the task.

If you perform that step #1 then I will be happy to describe what should be done in step #2 in my opinion :-))

Step one I am actively working on and it will be done as soon as physically possible.  I will read the yellow paper you mentioned thanks for the recommendation.

Well although you didnīt say anything about luisb, luisb would really appreciate if you answer to the questions aunt Emma and Joe Sixpack were asking you in response to your suggestion about using VRC instead Paypal and CCs for online purchases

1. Why should we take the risk of using vericoin if we already have a credit card and a paypal account, which offers us security features like charge backs and advantages like credit (CCs) or zero fees for online payments (paypal)?

2. Didnīt lose vericoin 80% of its value in a month?(BIG TURN OFF) I think is very risky to send my FIAT and my passport copy to a website called moolah or mintpal or you name it (YES ANOTHER BIG TURN OFF) and buy a string of code that can loose 80% value in a month, dont you think nephew? or is it really worthy taking that risk??

3. I prefer spending 2$ a month and have the possibility to charge back and have credit if i need it or use my Paypal account at zero cost and no risk of losing any money for price fluctuations...

There are no bailouts in digital currency, no hyper-inflation, much less fees, no counterfeiting.  Bitcoin in 2012 dropped 90%, it would have been a good move to get in when it was low.

I have posted it so many times it is beyond repetitive at this point, but once more, since you ask nicely, here it goes:

1.- Clearly state the aim, the goal... AND STICK TO IT and ONLY to it. If you state that goal is "worldwide mass adoption", stick to that. And by stick to it I mean you cannot be bothered with absurdities and niche features such as anon, decentralized exchanges and whatever else the coin of the week is peddling.

-Worldwide mass adoption - yes, namely usability and accessibility  (eg. VeriSMS (send/receive nearly anywhere), VeriBit (spend many places), VeriCard (spend nearly anywhere)).

-Mintpal showed us we could really use a decentralized exchange.

-Usernames requires extra privacy technology otherwise anyone could be big brother, not just the most well funded investigators.

2.- Get whatever you determine you need, WORKING. NOW. No excuses. No ifs, no buts. Wallets. Do it or get it done. Yesterday. Multi-pool, likewise.

-Everything we absolutely need is working now and it's much more than litecoin has for instance.  Good new technology takes some time and cannot all be done now.

3.- Once 1 and 2 are set, ENGAGE enthusiastically the community in the vision, the project and ask for help -AND LISTEN TO IT- to move it forward.

We have a community marketing team, I engage more often and more enthusiastically than most devs.  This is an example of me asking for help and listening.

Simple 3 steps, aren't they. And a world of difference nevertheless.

Now, there are bondages in setting a "simple" goal. You cannot set a lofty goal such a "worldwide mass adoption" and pretend to achieve any significant level of that adoption while the entire crypto is in volatile turmoil, let alone your coin. You start with the baby steps of awareness, of course. And for that you have to have a website where the key questions are responded in completely different ways, understandable ones, layman's terms; likewise, no matter what anyone else does and how they achieve 5000% in price overnight, you stick to the plan, through thick and thin. The leit motive should be "what you  see is what you get": Community, honesty, transparency. We are the good guys. Take it or leave. If you are looking for technical innovation, next door on the left; anonymity, end of the corridor, on the right, not here. We want people to USE crypto, to invest in CLEAN crypto, to support HONEST, TRANSPARENT and LEGAL (when it happens) crypto. We cannot guarantee you will not lose money nor we can guarantee that you will make lots of it, but we DO guarantee HONESTY, TRANSPARENCY and, when available, COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS.

I am firmly convinced both the community and newcomers will respond to such simple and committed plan.

I hope I have answered your petition.

I get your points and I agree we could do these things better and we will.  Thank you for the thoughtful response.

Barabbas, you do realize you are losing the ability to be taken as credible, the more you insult people right?  This is not an effective approach to getting your point across.  If you insult me in response to this post it will be even worse.

Hey guys sry I have been absent recently, still swamped with getting the Physical Vericoins in order, Anyway THANK YOU to everyone in the community for your support I know myself and the Devs are constantly really busy so if you have an idea or contribution (such as the white papers or YT vids) PLEASE PM me and I will make sure important info gets passed on directly to the Devs.

Once again THANK YOU everyone, your hard work and support are extremely appreciated

So if true, Coinsis requires that 15k USD be gained from where? Did this come from the developers pocket? VeriFund? Should the VeriFund be controlled by 3 people, who in secrecy use the funds to make deals with third parties? This must be a troll, because if true, unbelievable! No wonder my attempts to ask for clarity all where ignored. The worst part is, the people who control all the decisions / development funds have proven to be terrible business people.

Can someone from the dev team that Knows how and what happend answer this please ?
I dont want to read what Tom Dick and Harry Think happend just the actual information please Id like to know.

Effects to Cause is the Dev handling the coinsis project. VeriCoins' agreement is signed.

The deal in place with Coinsis includes a "Non-Disclosure" clause

Effects has mentioned this several times. He can't say anythig until coinsis makes their announcments.

The tone of the BC article makes me think BC hasn't "signed" their agreement with Coinsis yet.

If they had ( and had the same deal as VRC) they would  be bound by the same Non-Disclourse restriction.

One might infer that BC doesn't have a "signed" agreement with Coinsis yet or (if they do) they're violating the "Non-Disclosure Agreement" (NDA)

Thanks Kevondo, this is the current state and I have mentioned it multiple times.  If you are very concerned PM me and I will give as much info as I can, thanks.  We have not used the VeriFund and only would after talking with the community first.

Also it is getting harder and harder for us to keep up to date on every forum post.  If you have concerns that are urgent or pressing please email vericoin@vericoin.info, this forwards to all three devs.  Or pm us here, it's easy to miss a question or comment here, thanks.

@DEVS: The community has been asking for the FORUM button on the wallet to lead to a moderated thread. Is it possible to provide this? Thanks.

We are going to do this so that there can be a non-combative, non-vulgar link in the wallet for the average person. We do intend to keep this thread as well so that there is an unmoderated place to speak freely as well. The thing is we can't convince "Aunt Emma" to use digitalcurrency and then lead her to stumble on massive repetitive and sometimes vulgar fudding at times and is quickly turned off for good.

I may even suggest a link to a support section of the VeriTalk Forum. Perhaps call it "Support", "New to VeriCoin" or the generic "Forum" is fine to. Perhaps pull a dropdown menu up off of the forum, and give them a choice on where to go. A place where a moderator can help people in a reasonable amount of time. You have community members who have shown they are more than willing to give time to help others in the past. This small attention to detail across the board would solidify the brand and make sense to people new to virtual currencies.

What doesn't make sense to everyday people is looking at roadmaps of what vericoin is, and then looking for all the features that they expect to be out, and polished. Only to find that these big deals at the time turned out to be several rushed, premature projects that, once launched failed to meet every basic objective they set out to have. To this day they are not complete, embarrassingly so.

Good suggestion regarding forum link.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the only thing that was released unfinished was the fiat feature. This was a misstep I agree. However VeriSMS, VeriBit, VeriSend and variable interest are done, were well tested and are used in practice.

Our current roadmap is on track and reflects the new fiat feature, as well as everything else we are working on.
This leads us to the two biggest problems in crypto. Being able to easily buy it and spend it.

VeriBit solves the spending problem mostly for within crypto usage. This is key. However getting the regular non crypto person to spend is still a challenge. Therefore we will have an optional service for spending VeriCoin with a visa card.

Regarding the cozying up with banking system argument. Let those who do not cash out their crypto into the banking system throw the first stone. This just makes that process easier.

This is how it is and we can move forward faster by utilizing it optionally.

In this context new people can say I get how to use it, now lets start earning interest. Users and demand is what we need more than anything.

Regarding the card there is not too much I can divulge until Coinsis does. However I appreciate the constructive criticisms. I will answer anything I am at liberty to. Though I do not have time to read every single forum post and still be on track with the roadmap.

This is what you choose to respond to with real questions being asked?

I responded to a number of your questions, probably missed it on the last page.

With VeriBit, VeriSMS and soon VeriCard, it's not where can you use Vericoin.  It's where can't you. www.vericoin.info

why, after such news does not rise the price?

Because nobody has heard of the company they made a "huge" deal with. The company is smaller than 1 of the 30 websites I made spending a few hours of my time creating. Mind you I had zero website building experience, which I am sure is evident if you look at my websites. I am ranked 2million something on alexa. 3 + million ranks ahead of this company and I get about 750 visits a month on that website, so people can make judgement if this is a promise with legs, or another failure waiting to happen.

I can see it now, this looks like another wizrig moment.

This is not with wizrig.  Time will tell how real this is and you may regret your current stance.

My stance doesn't have to do with money. It has to do with ethics. This company raises many questions. If you can alleviate them all for the community it would be a great help. I would like to start with :

Who is behind this company?
What led you to make a partnership with them?
What makes you believe this unknown company will be a successful partnership for vericoin?
Are you confident making a close association with an unknown company is a good choice for what vericoin is as a brand?
Are vericoin investors going to be liable for all your personal business choices made on behalf of vericoin?
In future deals, will investors know what contracts are signed on behalf of their personal investments or will you continue to do this in privacy with 1 or 2 other minority investors?

We can start there and continue a constructive debate about this if you wish. I am sure the community would appreciate the honesty, instead of smoke and mirrors.

Doug, I will ask this every few pages until you tell me I am being unreasonable, or you give me some answers.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to clear up some uncertainty that should have been released already to the public as we all invested in this deal and still have no idea what it is aside from a picture.

We have a written agreement requiring that they deliver or else there is penalties for them.  I spoke with the lead programmer and business rep numerous times, they are legit and we are protected by the written agreement.  The marketing team has been aware of most of the details before signing.  They are community members.  If you don't like this don't order one, we aren't asking you buy4crypto, to do anything.

This is it, sorry for the delay guys.

How big is the scope of http://www.coinsis.com? I never heard of them, and from alexa traffic ranks, nobody else has either.

They are brand new, you will know them very well shortly

Hey guys,

Just to give an update, the written agreement needed minor modifications, that is all we are waiting on now.  These things go much slower than I had hoped, if it was only under my control it would have been done days ago.  Nonetheless we are moving forward as expected.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | POS - NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS on: August 21, 2014, 03:11:50 AM
@ Xosihc - I won't re-quote that last post.

Whats long with such a long post? It's not like it was just one paragraph. It was basically a mini-essay, even with titles for each section.

Sometimes it takes a while to explain what you are trying to say, that is if you actually have something to say =P

I've made quite a few long rants in here myself. There is a lot to rant about with VRC it seems =P

Apparently not for the devs though.. My balls are getting so blue in anticipation for this announcement that it's getting ridiculous.

I mean, how long are they going to string this out? Negotiations are done, now what it's going to take several days to write up the announcement?? That's just rubbish and anyone who believes otherwise is kidding themselves.

The devs are stringing this out on purpose, there is no question.

We had to make a few minor adjustments to the written agreement for the benefit of VeriCoin. We are doing this the right way and that takes time. Each day we are getting closer and closer and the agreement is getting better and better. We are not stringing this out on purpose, that would not benefit anyone in anyway.

wow delayed one day and ppl cry.. its actually crazy RELAX

this happens all the time in the business world, your obviously children and crypto as a whole stands no chance if these kids don't mature..so they were late wtf calm your tits ppl.. its coming...

In any business you miss announcements or if the announcement is underwhelming then guess what the stock drops this is no different.  Delays are not good in any business.
u obviously don't run a business.. i own a large manufacturing denim company... trust me these things happen all the time and no stocks do not drop cause an "ann" is a day late..

ex: apple has many times delayed their new phone release to ensure quality and quantity ...or caused by manufacturing delays... pls if u don't own a substantial business don't comment on what u don't know thinking the that you do cause of the way crypto is these days...

Please tell me a time when Apple said they were going to release a product on said date and didn't?!?? Link as well please.

Apple is uncommonly good in this regard, we aspire to be more like them in many ways regarding marketing.  It is fair to be disappointed with the delay here and I take responsibility for it, though we are close.  I misjudged the time required for the unfolding of this process and it was a misstep, I have learned from this.  However it is true, even Apple has done it: http://www.macworld.com/article/1163338/apple_misses_end_of_october_deadline_for_itunes_match.html
it is also fair for you to miss a deadline knowing it is being worked on.. updates like this are much appreciated..
exactly!
its merely a day late lol relax ppl, almost there Wink
+1

2 days now? Did I miss the news?

Awaiting new write up, then we can close the deal.

This is the deal with SYNC, right?

No, lol
