Hey Everyone!
As Mike^2 said, I developed this script to help everyone who doesn't have time to babysit their wallets, of course there are limitations to the script but it will work perfectly on any ubuntu based linux system, (mint has changed something which means there is no Mint support for this script) most of the settings are set as variables at the top of the script for easy modification by the user, default is 3 hours per restart, this can be changed as you please. Now to the fun part,
Make sure you have a good wallet and chain in ~/Desktop/KORE_BK/ the definition of good wallet being that it doesn't ask you to reindex when you start it!
For best results,... Every 3 to 6 days do the following:
Make a copy of the files and folders in the home/.kore folder after a reindex.
Put them in the KORE_BK folder and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Go through this process until the wallet starts properly/does not force a reindex.
NOTE: I have found if you put
reservebalance=1000
In the conf file it decreases the amount of times the wallet needs to be restarted.
This could be removed once it starts correctly so you stake all your coins.
after you have that make sure you have another backup of your wallet.dat somewhere else.

this script requires only one dependency so,
1) Open a terminal and input the following (all commands go into terminal!):
Code:
sudo apt-get install xdotool -y
2) Now download the git by inputting this command:
Code:
git clone https://github.com/XxTheMatrix101xX/KOREBit.git
3) go into the folder with the following command:
Code:
cd KOREBit
4) Make sure you have your KORE wallet locked and running (this is to test out your password)
5) Run the script with the following command (KEEP THE ./!):
Code:
./shell
6) The shell will start up and run a few checks and then ask for the password to unlock your wallet (This is NOT SAVED! so every time you start the shell you will need to input the password)
7) now that the script has your password it will go to the KORE wallet and test the password out, the script has no way of knowing if it works so go to settings and see if the wallet is still locked, if so you need to stop the script and try again, if it worked you dont need to do anything else! Please remember that since this is only unlocking for staking you should see both an option to unlock as well as an option to lock the wallet if the script worked.

PLEASE NOTE, the script has two phases, active and inactive, during the active phase it will pull up the KORE wallet and input the password, during this time it is critical that you not move things too much, after the password has been entered the script goes to inactive (or passive rather) and you can continue doing as you wish.

MANDATORY KORE WALLET v0.12.4.0  UPDATE:

This includes masternodes...

For those that missed it there is a Wallet update from v12.3.9 to v0.12.4.0
Update your wallets ASAP.
This is a mandatory update.
This is just a slice of the number of wallets out there but shows there are still some on the old 12.3.9 version.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/kore/#!network

Wallets with these node addresses need to update.
6yrwlbmuyepjngct.onion
vkge6jbgty7yzlav.onion
2yhnbe7fpzw4uxil.onion
gw4xyz3i5eygnkke.onion
s2hq6dc5ykhf5yod.onion

hzvfa5xa2qulysi.onion

* IMPORTANT:
Delete your kore.conf file before loading or compiling your wallets
BUT: Save all your masternode setup data in the conf and the masternode conf.
Here is a Masternode upgrade guide:

                    WALLETS:
OSX Wallet is for Sierra and High Sierra only.
We are working on a possible Maverick/El-Capitan version.

Make sure:
zapwallettxes=1
is in your local wallet conf file.
NOTE:
I have been testing removing the entire line:
staking=1
In the conf file.

FYI:
I found this method useful and time saving:
To keep from having to go through the constant reindexing I every few days
make a copy of the kore folder after a reindex and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Shut the wallet down within 10 min of the green progress bar disappearing.
Then once I have that I replace the kore folder whenever restarting the wallet to get the correct balance to show.
This saves much time and it allows for a 1 time restart of the wallet rather than two and you dont go through the reindexing.

                               1-11-2018 - v0.12.4.0

NOTE: The wallet still has the disappearing coins and reindexing
issues experienced by many PoSv3 coins at this current time.
For those not familiar with this issue just restart your wallet a few times
and the GUI will display the proper amount of coins in your wallet.
The KORE wallet update to version 0.12.4.0 includes:
Partial memory leak fixes, other mods and fixes.
Rather than remove the Bittrex trading window the wallet has been updated with
a check box toggle to "Enable Trading," found at the bottom of the page.
The wallet opens with the trading window disabled. Click to enable it.
Once finished with trades it is recommended to disable it.
The box to unlock for staking only is auto checked.
The staking icon remains on for a longer period of time when coins are sent out to stake.
Various links and spelling corrections.
Commented out a buggy non functioning wallet repair option.
Updated nodes list.
Added zapwallettxes to the kore.conf file.
Windows 32bit version.
Updated curl and dependency lists.
Increased outbound connections.
Increased the stake split threshold.
Lowered difficulty.
Updated ssl.
Various other bug fixes.

Cheers!
MikeMike

Hello guys good morning from Brazil,

The talks from the G20 are underway, here is a link from whats been happening so far.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/g20-considers-crypto-as-assets-not-currencies-according-to-document-draft

Meanwhile next week we have the WSL  Rip Curl Women's Pro Bells Beach event on Bells Beach, Victoria, Australia from Mar 28 - Apr 08, 2018 so if you live in the area definitely go check it out.

Go Kore, Go BTC

I sincerely think that whatever they say about "news" should not be based on them because the ballast of that currency is us !!!!

I wonder if they ever counted on a "class action lawsuit"
from all the cryptos.

I really don't care that much about the coins I lost, it's a small amount for me, I just want to stop your scam, I know you lost $200k coin back in 2015 because the kore dev stole it, but you don't have to steal it back from other innocent people, the cycle of karmar will never end, looking back you deserve everyhting you suffered!

For the record:
This person first posted I/we stole his coins and some other wild accusations he has posted in other threads.
These are lies. I can understand them not knowing that the PoSv3 issues were making the wallet balance
show the incorrect amount of coins but this is only temporarily and only a GUI issue.
His coins were always in his wallet.
I invited him to the Discord channel to read the pinned messages and he made nearly the same wild accusations there.
I offered to help him understand what was going on and finally he realized it was just a simple wallet GUI issue that is resolved
by restarting his wallet a few times.
Then he made claims that I stole some coins he sent from Bittrex.
I let him know the only thing that it could be is he just happened to send
the coins during a fork that went on in the chain.
I would have compensated him for his loss but the continual lies, deceit and false accusations
forced me to delete his messages and ban him.
I have not bothered to research his small loss to see if it was actually coins lost in a fork
and will not bother since he has shown to be a troublemaker, liar and false accuser.
He could revise or delete his messages he knows are completely false but he continues to leave them up.
KORE does have some serious enemies and has been attacked on multiple occasions.
I no longer tolerate anyone positing such lies and nonsense in any of the KORE threads
and all such posts will be promptly deleted.
I find it interesting he has a deeponion signature campaign.
I also find it interesting his addresses he posts in other threads
shows he has a working KORE Masternode.
1,900+ coins in one address.

I will leave this post for posterity to show the type person you are.
Now I see why you hide behind another nic...
The old dev did not steal money from me.
You did not go to get help I offered you in discord but continue to spam your signature campaign here.
Making false accusations of me stealing coins from you, when it is your attitude and incompetence
that lost your coins and no one else. That is IF you even lost any.
Any further posts by you will be deleted.

Remember that Karma thing you mentioned because you are racking it up...
Iv'e seen it take from a few weeks to over 10 years...
I hope you understand what Slander and Libel are.
You will know the karma full circle when it comes.

Sincerely,
MikeMike

SPAMMING SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN link=topic=2096416.msg32691203#msg32691203 date=1521480436]
Ok the dev might be innocent, but around 3k of my coin is difinitely lost due to a fork attack 3 days ago, on the orphaned fork I have all my coins, but on the main chain I hve 3k less, am I the only one?
[/quote]

You ARE the only one.
You were kicked from the channels because of your wild accusations
and not being open to a factual, reasonable discussion.
Now you lie about it all.
Go to the Discord thread and reply to my message.
I offered you support there.
You do not respond to my offer to support and then come here and start this mess.
Dont be spamming your signature campaign here...

IF you truly need and want our Support PM me in Discord what I asked of you.

I deposited some coins into my wallet to do some staking and now my wallet is showing a balance of about 100 coins lower including the staked coins... what gives?

Typical for all the coins experiencing similar GUI issues with the PoSv3.
Just restart your wallet a few times soon as the green progress bar disappears.
READ all the pinned messages here in the Discord KORE Support thread:
https://discord.gg/38mGxhN

I see you already found the solution etc...

The Mac/OSX wallet is testing out to run as well as the other Operating Systems.
Now testing a few Masternodes and so far is OK.
This is Sierra and High Sierra OSX versions only.
We are working on getting El-Capitan Version working
but may release the Sierra and High Sierra in the next week.

ist staking aviable with 50 kore coins ? or just masternode with 500 ??

Preferrably over 150 coins to get some fair stakes and a few hundred coins for assured regular staking.

What is the minimum hardware requirement for mining KORE? I don't know how hard it is. I feel like trying.

KORE is all PoS at this time.
That means you need to have coins in your wallet and those coins stake and in turn earn KORE as rewards for supporting the Network.
Posts like this makes people think you are spamming a signature campaign.

why you don't answer all questions?

We are continually asked about marketing, if you look you will easily find your answer.

Long answer short, we would like new users to have a pleasant experience with their wallet when they first join the KORE community. Currently, there are too many issues with the wallet for us to comfortably market to new users and alienate them.

Say marketing brings in 1 million people. Would you prefer 1 million new users join KORE community now and leave in a day or two after running into a wallet issue and never join the community again because their first taste was bitter? Or would you prefer to wait a bit and invest until we get a clean wallet, market it and one million people come to the community? For me, the answer is simple.

It's been quite a while since the wallet update and the PoS upgrade still doesn't seem to be live..  Undecided

Neither have the other PoSv3 coins experiencing similar issues found a fix yet.
We are working on it in a few different ways.
First method that fixes the dilema wins...

Hello guys, how you doing?

I would like to inform everyone that Kore got listed on a new exchage called Trade Satoshi, they are an UK based exchange that started in September 2016.

As always do your due diligence and trade at your own risk.

Here is their links:

Website: https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=KORE_BTC

Twitter: https://twitter.com/TradeSatoshi

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tradesatoshi/

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/10685740

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheers

Thanks MX!

Bittrex is not taking new accounts at the moment...
Some have posted wanting to buy KORE Direct.
For those who want to make a "Legal Trade/Purchase" of KORE you can both use this smaller exchange.
You could both agree on a price and carry out the transaction there.
No Escrow needed...
KORE seems to have been listed about a few weeks ago.
Trade at your own risk.

Good to see KORE at one time Top 24hr Volume on Bittrex 1,709 BTC, leading by over 300 BTC.
Plus is the top % gain on Bittrex.

Also good to see KORE ironically right after DASH as the 2nd top trading coin.

I saw that Kore today had a big jump, almost 100%, so I checked on coinmarketcap and I found out that it was listed on the UpBit exchange .... this is a great result and will make this little gem known to other markets and one of the biggest exchanges.
Come on like Mike Mike!

Now the Upbit market is becoming a trend.
Every altcoin that goes into upbit will go up to 100% ++.
So, every altcoin must have the quality if it wants to go into the market upbit.
Kore has been proven to have good quality and I hope kore can be listed in the binance market.  Wink Cheesy

All in good time...
When KORE is ready.

To those who can, stake some KORE even if you have Masternodes.
This will support the Masternodes as well.
