461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: OFFICIAL NEW ANN - HALLOWEEN COIN - X11 on: July 29, 2017, 12:57:43 PM
I don't really see the purpose of this coin.. Are there any points of difference or upcoming development?

Transfercoin has quite a good android wallet which looks just like the QT app, is that something that could be done with the Crave codebase or does it need a whole lot of work?  It could also be too heavy as is with a full blockchain DB.

PIVX has just launched their android wallet and that's quite nice, it uses a new version of their masternode code to create a trusted node that the mobile wallet connects to and that makes it fast to load and easy to use.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN ][SCORE] how much should Masternode cost? price will be much lower! on: July 29, 2017, 11:54:53 AM
The Crave masternode amount of 500 is interesting for a coin without much in circulation, have you considered the economics of having people "stacking" masternodes because they end up paying for new ones?
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENT] Eternity - X11 - No Premine on: July 29, 2017, 11:46:37 AM
Are there any plans to get this coin on to Cryptopia?

Masternoders, have you noticed a higher-than-normal rate of missing MNs lately? For the past month or two, many of mine have randomly stopped syncing every couple of weeks--like not all at once, just on average each one has a sync issue more often than before. They used to be rock solid. Not sure if it's a PIVX network thing or a VPS thing. I just reindex the remote wallet and everything is fine, but still, kind of annoying. (Everything is on 2.2.1.)

It can be a VPS thing, eg if you're on an OpenVZ container with less than 1GB memory then the host can kill the process if it uses "too much" RAM.  How much RAM have you got, and do you know the VPS host platform?

CRAVE price is fluctuating VIOLENTLY, up and down

And the top coin by volume on Cryptopia at the moment! What's happened??   Bittrex listing imminent?  Grin Grin  (guessing only)

Do we have a masternode earnings calculator? I have been running a MN for 24 hours and have yet to get any rewards.

It can take a while for it to start up (several days max).  The reward formula that was on the main website was 960 / #nodes = daily reward amount per MN.

Cannot allocate vin means you need to unlock your wallet and unlock again.  Then the unlock will work.  The stopping problem could be a lack of memory (1Gb+ is ok) or a software problem.  If you have lots of memory can you run a "getinfo" command on the debug console and post the response?

I will try what you said by unlocking and unlocking it again...I currently have 8GB ram running and awaiting for another 16GB stick to install to total 24GB.

here's the "getinfo" response:

  "version" : "v2.1.0.0-60025" ...

Thanks, your memory amount sounds ample and the getinfo output looks good, do you have a debug.log in your crave data folder?  maybe that's worth a look for a reason as to why it's stopping.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRAVE: Revival on: July 26, 2017, 08:27:01 AM
I think the masternode started but it is not showing on the list.

I checked the masternode with the debug command and it shows "Masternode started remotely".
Also the masternode explorer shows it as active but nothing generated.

I have the ports configured correctly, but it keeps going offline.

I am also using the lastest wallets, the VPS I am running has 1gb in memory maybe I need more memory?

It seems to go offline as soon as it stakes some coins.

That sounds weird, with 2.1 when it says the masternode is started I can leave them for days without a problem.  Another good thing to try is the ./craved -printtoconsole  option, as this will leave a detailed history of activity on the console, and when it decides to stop running might leave some clues behind that way.  There might also be a debug.log file in the ~/.crave folder that can be looked at already.

I'm seeing if I can get more information regarding this.

Ok cool, has someone filled in the Bittrex application form recently as well?  Maybe with CooleRRSA at the helm it will get more traction there?

Thanks Smiley
Bittrex knows about us.  They have been contacted many times, they just are quiet about new coin additions.  We are in their hands.  Could be next week, could be never 😁
if this right maybe booming them with more social advertisement or more twitter tweets to address them regarding to this coin desire to be listed inside their
exchange, same thing with polo if ever we really intended to bring this coin to its new hype, bittrex and polo will bring big for the success.
A few things are being decided / worked on / in development before a hard push is made for this.

This is great news, let us know if we can help in any way Smiley

I think that gets lowered after a few trades, I had that happen when I moved some PIVX on there.  The first time I had to wait for 200 confirms, the 2nd time only 20 confirms.  Have you only just signed up?

I have been on cryptopia for about 6 months, have done some trades there cashed out and deposited many times, buy only crave asking 200 confirmations, other coins are 6 or 2.

You're right, I've never tried to sell any Crave Smiley I've just deposited a few and yes, 200 confs..  Interestingly in my deposit history the PIVX TX I had to wait 200 for now has /20 next to it.  So maybe they don't trust the Crave coin as much, and have only started trusting PIVX more recently?

can you please paste example conf file?

Here's one line out of my file (important numbers slightly edited):
mn01 111.222.33.44:9999 68wSWJVWYjBCpZuh6wSa5nVPtH9YD1MWG28JQVvVvTHbwdgpAhf df460535f5e971b25a49d4fafc8e6229d8d694a09aad8df73f0581ec1573cdc4 0 BvQg5JYE2AX8Kd2X5QYF3zFQxsrZUFRkjp 100

The last two params are the reward address and payout percent.  Repeat the same address and percent for each line in your file.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRAVE: Revival on: July 24, 2017, 10:34:25 AM
where can i set address for reward auto payout?

Upgrade your nodes and wallet to 2.1, then edit your masternode.conf file and put the reward address and payout percentage on the end of every masternode line.

If you use the same reward address for all your nodes then the payments are aggregated together so you can't tell which node it came from, but it should make it easier to use the reward amounts because you don't need to select the inputs any more when you want to use them for something.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRAVE: Revival on: July 24, 2017, 12:13:33 AM
The reward payouts to a central address are working well with 2.1!

Thank you CooleRRSA!!

Masternode keep shutting down minutes after I start it, goes on list and then goes off.

Time up keeps saying 0, but active=1

I have to restart but it won't stay on.

Ubuntu 14 VPS for MN

Anyone have a fix?

Also what version of Crave are you running, the latest version is fine but the symptom you're describing was happening to me two releases ago.  Make sure you have installed 2.1 on the MN as well as the controller wallet.

If the MN has been started it should say "masternode started remotely" when you run ./craved masternode debug
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $CRAVE Coin. Cheapest Masternodes out there. on: July 22, 2017, 05:39:53 AM
I'm pretty optimistic about Crave now - what are the possible dangers apart from a big sell off?

The wallet and node software seems pretty good, the dev is adding features and fixing bugs and the economics are interesting because with say 14 masternodes you can get another 2 masternodes per month, and it works like a snowball where long term holders can build out their part of the coin release space over time if they're prepared to hold on and add MNs as the payouts reach 500.

Or am I missing something? Thanks.

Sorry for troubles with running nodes on v2.0.4.2.
But now:
New release: v2.0.4.3
*Old masternode system compatibility fix

Just wondering about this, so does the reward address get used for this kind of setup?  My nodes are still paying to their reserve addresses, not the newly defined reward address with a 100% payout set?
