461  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Mining Farm. $100k to invest. Advice needed. on: August 16, 2017, 01:18:27 AM
Idiot...if you had just bought BTC  when you posted you would already have more than doubled your investment.

462  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How do you power an Antminer S9 in USA / Canada with 110v? on: July 27, 2017, 02:46:36 AM
CLEAR STRAIGHT ANSWER..YOU SHOULD NOT...USE 110v....
BUT PLEASE DON'T...I REPEAT .....DO NOT .....HEED THAT ADVICE

I have 4 S9's in Ottawa Canada..4 more on the way

I use ONE (manufacturer recommended PSU.....ASW3++)  for each S9

And since I knew they HIGHLY RECOMMENDED using 220V...and draw about 1600 watts/rms

(But please ignore this and use 100v so YOUR S9's will burn out fast and you will not be effective nor contributing to increasing the difficulty)

Meanwhile since A=W/V I knew EACH standard 220v/30 amp breaker can easily handle ...TWO ASW3++ PSU's... hence 2 S9's
(3200w/220v=14.54 AMPS)

I could even put a 3rd S9 PSU on the same breaker...but I don't
I could use a 220v 20 amp breaker for TWO PSU's....but I don't

And I run them COOL (15c-MIN-20c MAX) AND DRY and DOUBLE SUPER DUPER-UBER CLEAN and YES they CAN AND OFTEN DO HASH MUCH MUCH FASTER....

I do NOT make MONEY or PROFIT
I MAKE BITCOINS and NEVER SELL THEM...(except to buy MORE MINING GEAR..fans filter etc...)

463  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I need quiet in my house! Sound control techniques for S9 miners? on: July 27, 2017, 02:16:53 AM
Ask any musician with a home studio ....Lots of empty egg cartons..backed by heavy fibre curtains blankets... acoustic attenuation/dampening is just SOOOO easy to do cheap..
Every major city has office reno contractors that will be happy to give you old stuff they were throwing out anyway. scrap insulation helps too..

464  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - How to power in Canada? on: July 27, 2017, 01:55:48 AM
5 pages and NO CLEAR STRAIGHT ANSWER...

I have 4 S9's...due any day..and 4 more due in oct..

I will use the recommended PSU...APW3++.....

I understand why and agree intend to use 220V..BUT WHAT AMPERAGE for the breakers...
standard here is 220v/30amp...
There is no way in hell a 1600watt PSU needs 30 amps

(I previously ran a GPU farm with each rig having it's own 110v/20amp...no problems
But this is a whole new ball game...

465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: February 04, 2015, 05:58:49 PM
I still have old Diamonds sitting at crispy..they have been there for 6+ months...
I guess I should update the wallet and get'm back and put them to work...

10 minutes later:
Ah..wallet is  downloaded and syncing...old transactions are showing...so far so good...Oh fancy new wallet!
Pity value is 1000% LESS than my purchase price.
I'll leave them to my grandkids and maybe they can buy ice-cream for their grandkids.

466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: May 18, 2014, 02:59:31 PM
HEY a  decent P2 pool finally!
I'm the 5-8 Mhs on your pool for the week-end

12hours later....
WOW it works....
I'm SO tired of the two scam pools that get mucho-orphans high variance and reject valid found blocks.
They had me completely turned off Gold coin

So far I seem to be the only one that has figured out what a scam the other pools are and I'm enjoying the p2 pool mostly to myself.

It  almost makes it worthwhile to mine Goldcoins again..At least I actually get some coins on this pool..
The price and profitability is pretty much same as electricity costs to get...so it still a big risk betting on future growth..

467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin Official Thread - Hard Fork Halving Successful + Digishield on: May 12, 2014, 11:50:35 AM
WARNING E-POOL  (p2pool) SCAM

I put 8Mhs on SMARTcoin
For many hours I was by far the highest hash rate.

The stats show NO history of mining no history of shares contributed for MONTHS

I thought great I can start fresh and reach max payout quickly

WRONG!

So WHY THE FUCK is this address  STXzMXtRdAToMa11CwDWQsG1ThmuoekM1f still  getting getting such high percentage of the payouts when it has NO history of contributing.

MY address is SbczygCubjRdGsBeJHXQChX2GUrCokjcix So WHY does my share NOT growing when there are NO other miners contributing...

After realizing I'm getting fucked by smartpool I tried POT pool with same results

NO miners NO history of contribution shares and same payout scam NOT growing to proper proportion.

So for 36+ hours I got fucked BAD...

I know how p2 pools and pplns  SHOULD work

So they are either negligent incompetent or just a plain old scamming theifs?
Ah! based Amsterdam well that answers that question All 3 are probably true then
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICN] iCoin - IPO live now on: May 03, 2014, 06:11:03 PM
Hey fellow Suckers

So where can I dump these shit coins that I wasted hundreds of dollars in electricity and hardware on..

I'm out off the whole crytpo-shit-scam game

6months with 10k in rigs 3k in electricity for 2k in useless bitcoins and tanking worse everyday

What an idiot I am.... I KNEW the whole scene was a giga-scam from the get-go

And some of you greedy fools are STILL investing
Man I feel better there are still people more stupid and who will loose more than I did

Sorry for the delayed reply

I was very pleased to get a FAST and helpful response.

Yes I received my coins from Nation-Wars

So I am very encouraged by the Coino community and will continue to mine and support Coino.

With such positive efforts I think this coin has great potential

Nothing is more valuable than inspiration.

Go Coino Go

470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] PhilosopherStone | PoS | No Premine | Update to 1.5 now! on: April 30, 2014, 02:26:51 PM
Thanks for the info regarding unaccepted blocks.

I too had problems with Minar.cc and no longer mine there.

Crytotrolls responded they looked at the problem and claim it is not caused by their code..so they are negligent and PHS is pretty much un-minable at their site

very sad to see the original PHSblocks site go down

So Palm you mentioned you set up a pool that avoids this problem?
Or you may know of a pool where it should not be an issue..

Can we PLEASE have a recommendation?

I would like to mine more PHS before it goes 100% POS.

Thanks so much for your continued efforts
It is your steadfast dedication to this coin alone that gives is it much of it's value.

FYI   1.5 is running fine on all my wallets.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] PhilosopherStone | PoS | No Premine | Update to 1.5 now! on: April 30, 2014, 01:48:06 PM
PalmDetroit PLEASE address the problem?

I see PHS is STILL having problems of valid FOUND blocks NOT getting accepted by pools.

Why does no one address this very serious flaw in PHS.

Is it the coin code or the pools that are the problem or the stratum code?

I recently tried mining PHS again at Cryptotrolls pool only to watch in horror as several instances of found blocks were not getting accepted...These unaccepted blocks do not show up even as orphans.

Diamond & TAG and many of the POS coins seems to have this problem according and Ahmed Bodi
But it seems a problem with the STRATUM itself as p2p pools seem unaffected.

But there has not been a clear explanation as to why it has NOT been fixed.
I have seen the same problem with NON POS coins like Digigcoin,Emerald,Stable

I would really like to find out why the problem persists.

It makes mining PHS VERY unprofitable at ANY price since one suffers extraordinary variance

I suggest it is hurting peoples confidence in PHS's potential to a great degree (well mine anyway)
POS is well earning it's alternate meaning with this flaw.

Pity as it is one of the few coins with a solid active evolving dev and some class and great POS future potential..If not for this MAJOR flaw

Does anyone know of ANY pools that DON'T experience this problem?
It has been suggested the pools are skimming these blocks, but I don't think that is the case as they would need be accepted by the block chain and credited to an address.
Examination of the block chain shows these found blocks are NOT getting on the chain.
Sadly there have been some cases of this skimming by (NON PHS) pools where the blocks are obviously going to the host wallet, but this should not be confused as the same issue.

Further but of less import
I also have a wallet with a few hundred coins from may month ago that I open every few days I have upgraded this wallet 3-4 times now and still have NEVER seen it stake or mint even the slightest fraction of a coin in value..so the POS is total bullshit and has serious flaws also IMHO. Yes it is unlocked and synced and had no in or out tx for over 2 months...
but this problem is secondary and small compared to the unaccepted found blocks issue. And yes, I read carefully all instructions, all to no effect

472  Economy / Scam Accusations / SUCHPOOL SCAMS steals AND has ONGOING SKIM of mined blocks on: April 29, 2014, 12:01:38 PM
You know the term "fool me twice..Shame on me"
I should have know better but got burnt more than twice from SuchPool.

First they SKIM BLOCKS....From at least 3 of there pools NON-POS coins which should never happen

No small wonder why they have such poor payouts and high variance..
I noticed several found blocks not getting credited.

This is a serious theft.
These are from Pot and Digicoin and which should never have this problem like some POS coins.

But that is not enough for this thief
They also claim to get "Attacked" and claim to loose all coins for the last few days. and shut down your account as if you were never there.

The story is an obvious lie to cover a simple theft.  They refuse to answer emails.

It has happened several times, they have stolen many days worth of coins &  mining

473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COINO] KGW ACTIVATED - WALLET UPDATE ▬► COINO -(O)- ◄▬ The fastest Coin on: April 27, 2014, 02:19:29 AM
Ok so I tried Coino....

Loaded up the latest wallet....synced up fine..
Joined NationWarsPool and put 7-9Mhs for a few hours..

Strange I have not received a single coin yet?
The pool shows several confirmed transactions of auto-payouts, But as I said after a few hours zilch have shown up.

Have i just wasted $12.00  of electricity?
Pity I must stop mining, it was fun as the diff is low, and the pool seemed to work well otherwise.

Sorry guys I can only afford to give you one strike.
If they are lost it's Ciao Coino
