461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: January 18, 2019, 03:07:17 PM
I was not exposed to cryptocurrency when prices were still very low. Yes, I heard people talked about bitcoin peripheral, but I had no one to put me through.
I was even being told that I could be scammed, because everything was do e online.
Despite its increased price now, for the fact that we know, is still an opportunity. Which means it can be useful for us and benefit from it.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Closed my small family farm, sold out rigs, and buy in! on: January 18, 2019, 03:00:54 PM
OP, you should have considered running the two at the same time. Your farmland is capital asset, which hardly or does not diminish, while cryptocurrency is a digital asset that is volatile.
Yes, you can make it big in cryptocurrency and still buy back your farm, if you truly understand crypto.
The reason you should not leave your farm, is because you may not be able to predict what the outcome or status of market would be.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: January 18, 2019, 02:56:47 PM
Every pone is free to say what he likes. There is no business without its bad side,no matter how good it is. Those who see the good side of cryptocurrency and also understand its bad side, are the ones making it big in it.
I think he is referring to the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, which I believe anyone who want to invest in cryptocurrency should know.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shill me your favorite crypto right now on: January 18, 2019, 02:49:23 PM
Apart from Ethereum, I am seriously considering EOS. If only Ethereum network eventually gets ungraded. There are some ingredients, such as scalability, found in EOS, that are lacking in Ethereum network.
Nonetheless, EOS is gradually gaining attention and very soon,we will see it on the rise.
So, my investments now, are more focused on EOS and I will not hesitate to fill my bag with it.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see a future with one cryptocurrency or thousands? on: January 18, 2019, 02:45:13 PM
If we have just one coin, then the competitive power in the market will be eliminated, which might even mean that, trading will no longer be interesting and lucrative.
It is even an unimaginable thing. Yes, we first had bitcoin, at a point, there exist a need to have others aside bitcoin, which are called altcoins.
I believe shitcoins will only fail to exist, but coins with values will last long.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: January 16, 2019, 11:09:12 PM
Sometimes, when expectations are cut short, some people tend to lose hope. Except the person understands the system and how cryptocurrency works.
I some situations, folks come with the mindset of getting quick rich. They invest so much money, without understanding the rudiments of investment and then at the end of the day, they lose their money, then blame the system for that.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICOs should be protected from dump on: January 16, 2019, 11:06:25 PM
Those are good suggestions to start with ams there are also other ways employed by some projects. Although, they would have been more effective, had it been investors are not having the mindset that come what may, no matter how good a coin is, it will still dump.
So with this mindset, they too will start selling their coins below the targeted price.
Trusting the system is of great importance.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What make with 5000 dollars on: January 16, 2019, 11:01:50 PM
There are lots of coins I just suggest you invest in, but the question is, will you be able to manage them?
That is very paramount to whatever one is investing in.
It seems you do not know much about investing in cryptocurrency, which I will advise you go to learn first. Or you start within what you can afford to lose.
At least, when you make mistake with little amount, you will be able to learn and adjust do avoid the mistake that was made.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: January 16, 2019, 10:36:44 PM
This delay has can bring about denial and that can cause the price of ETH to plummet more.
This has even reflect in the downtrend that has just been experienced.
I am just trying to see if the price will be sustained at the present stage it is. Well, if it plunges, it will be an opportunity for me to buy  more.

I was not expecting this to happen. Since they knew they were not ready, they should not have even announced.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to 100% invest into 1 alt coin, which would it be? on: January 16, 2019, 10:28:15 PM
Excluding ethereum as part of my options might be hard, because it is one of my favourite coins. Well, if I am to choose any other one that is trending, I would go for XYO.
This particular coin is still very young in the crypto space and it has a lot of potentials.
It has the tendency of rising fast, if the team does not change it's mind to later scam people. Nonetheless, I belief in it.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ? on: January 16, 2019, 10:24:48 PM
He should be in the best position to answer that. I think to an extent, we know his vision and aspiration.
The central or focal point of cryptocurrency is decentralization. This is mainly of solving financial problem of interference by third party, which is not subject to manipulation
Although, in a way, it can still benefit the poor, if they know how to key into it, for their benefits.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do now on: January 16, 2019, 10:21:14 PM
I do not know why you should disturb yourself over what people are saying.
What are you as a person saying or what can you deduce from what is happening in market and how does it infirm your your decision?
You should know that even if people are saying hold, not all coins worth holding. Which means that it might not be applicable to you. So know what you are going for through your own research.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: January 16, 2019, 10:18:29 PM
One of the most common platform that is used these days for kyc is, civic app. They use like video capture for kyc and it is a safe platform, because only the ash of your document is saved. So you have no reason for panicking.
There are others who also provide similar service, but I do not trust all, most especially when it comes go that form of kyc.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 13, 2019, 11:55:27 PM

It does have effect, depending on the exchange where it is listed and depending on the strategy or approach the team of the project is using.
There is a recent project, GMB.
It is listed on bw.com and digifinex, but the trading competition on bw.com has aided the price increase. Then two other exchanges are already on ground.
Most of these can impact the coin positively.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the king of all altcoins on: January 13, 2019, 11:53:09 PM
Ethereum has proven its efficacy many times and aside that,  most projects just prefer to list their coin on their platform.
For now, no coin is yet able to take up that quality and most of its features
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Ether? on: January 13, 2019, 11:51:16 PM
If eth drops further again this time, i will not miss the opportunity, but go ahead to buy more of it, because there is every tendency it rises back.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019 on: January 13, 2019, 11:49:38 PM
Just recently, there have been improvements in the nature of ICOs being lunched now in the crypto space. Apart from the junk or scam ICOs, these sets of ICO have every tendency to succeed both before and after.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is about to take back number #2 on: January 13, 2019, 11:47:44 PM
You all know, Ethereum has lost its value so much and lost its market place. XRP has taken number #2

And now, Ethereum is so close to taking back its place. (Possibly it'll take today or tomorrow)

2   XRP          XRP           $14.778.926.213   $0,362281      $424.889.258         40.794.121.066 XRP *
3   Ethereum Ethereum   $14.721.437.843   $141,35           $2.274.518.045     104.147.800 ETH

What do you think? I think Altcoin will move after ETH?

These two coin since last year, have been competing for this space, which ethereum has been occupying for a long time, until the time of bear market, where xrp started competing with it.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: yobit.net Scam or not ? on: January 13, 2019, 11:45:51 PM
I have an account on yobit.net and i have never had any il experience with them. Although i have heard and read of people complained about them. A friend made a deposit and it took aver long time before it could appear.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: January 11, 2019, 08:58:12 PM
There have been controversies in whether regulation should be accepted or not, which still occur till now. The core crypto enthusiasts do not want regulation, because they want to preserve the main purpose of cryptocurrency, which is centralization. While those who are fed up of scam projects, governments, banks and the likes want regulation, which will totally bring in centralization.
In my opinion, both have their pros and cons.
