Oww crap i think i know why it is not giving the full power with scrypt

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 thats what missing

This dos parameter allow the card to make full use of the memory

Nate i put some screenshots in the map
Somehow there seems to be alot of ghost devices
I seen the ghosts in the older bfgminer as well

Let me express my gratitude for the great work you do for us

465  Economy / Auctions / Re: 4 x 5 Gh jala + 20 am usb erupters black on: September 25, 2013, 11:12:20 AM
Lol it actually has been offered allready

Also since i really expect it to do easy 7.5 Gh with the firmware flash, it might even do much better its very cool and low power usage compared to exact similar ones from others.

I think this 5 Gh is a shame if you do not try it, you got nothing to loose i have not seen anyone really failing on this.
However for me its another 60 euro loss if i would do it, because i would never use that avrdragon ever again.

The times i messed with electronics and self programming are over i let others do that for me Wink

Managing means let others do the work for you Cheesy

I think if you did not make a fortune in the good old time like some of the large miners like gigavps, fefox, sailermin, bicoinminer and many other big ass miners who invested a massive fortune in hardware you better put the money in renting or buying
As i look at me last purchases i have hardly even used them at all and loose money on them before they came in.
Yes they came in yesterday and soon they leave the door again
The 200gh machine i bought by kncminer and the drillbit purchase is probably my last investment into buying hardware
Next year only the super rich, investment companies and asic builders will make money in the miner scene.
I expect the difficulty sky rocket now that bitfury has delivered and soon when kncminer starts delivering we see another massive jump
A 80% increase of difficulty per month will be met easily, that makes the new hardware absolete in like 6 months unless the price of btc goes up to make the losses less painfull.
But still with the super difficulties next year you must have insane power to get some profit and even with that you might not make your return on investment because a lot of rich investor allready mentioned going to mine with supercomputer size ( yes building size) miners with even in the Petahashes mining power

We the small hobby miners are no longer to keep up the slow transition to owned by the banks and investors again monetairy system

The problem is only intensity changing isn't effective. When I don't use PC I run this to get 640 kH/s from 1 HD 7950
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:7777 --gpu-threads 1 --gpu-engine 1045 --gpu-memclock 1455 --thread-concurrency 16384 -u coldbreeze16.1 -p x -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 -I 20

When using PC, it becomes usable only after taking the intensity down to 14. But that gives me ~400 kH. But if I use this one, my PC remains usable while giving a 560 kH/s
Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:7777 --gpu-threads 2 --gpu-engine 1065 --gpu-memclock 1325 --thread-concurrency 8192 -u coldbreeze16.1 -p x --shaders 1792  --vectors 1 -w 256 -g 2 -I 13

Thanks - that makes sense. I'll see what I can do.

Scrypt is a pain to get sorted i never got my 7970 run above I 13 if i did it slowed down or crashed
Its almost an exact science playing with thread concurrency with different settings however if one card works fine with a setting another might fail badly especially f you have different brand or models
Thats why i think the powercolor died since the sapphier could have more punishment
468  Local / Markt / Re: 20 x asicminer BES en 4 x bfl jalapeno aangeboden on: September 24, 2013, 06:19:54 PM

469  Economy / Auctions / Re: 4 x 5 Gh jala + 20 am usb erupters black on: September 24, 2013, 05:45:51 PM
I saw that the box was kinda being abused which the 3 new jalapeno arrived in.

So i took them out of the biox and found the power cables of 2 are missing

I ran to the nearest do it yourself shop and made a short term cable mess solution

The newly arrived i tested and 2 of them run with similar hw errors and speed about 7.5 Gh

Number 3 is a weird one it shows almost 8 Gh but gives much more errors so not sure if its really that good.

but i think its indeed doing those numbers, this makes the hurting a bit less with my dealings with bfl

I finally have them in hand and they are working very good

So that makes 1 x 5 Gh which really needs to be flashed or you run it like i did with the cover removed and pretty silent, and 3 upgraded jala which perform as posted by bfl

I received another bid by email and a similar one by pm for 2.5 btc a piece.

The blockeruptors have been sold
Only the jala left
472  Economy / Auctions / Re: 4 x 5 Gh jala + 20 am usb erupters black on: September 23, 2013, 05:18:00 PM
The best offer so far done in pm is 2.2 btc for each jala
So all 4 at 8.8
473  Economy / Auctions / Re: 4 x 5 Gh jala + 20 am usb erupters black on: September 22, 2013, 12:50:58 PM
currently had an offer of 10 btc
474  Economy / Auctions / 4 x 5 Gh jala + 20 am usb erupters black on: September 22, 2013, 10:58:30 AM
From my ongoing debacle with bfl i got finally something which is ofcourse not nearly what i paid for.
But its alot better then a 75 BTC jalapeno + 24% vat

I have 1 in hand 5 Gh jalapeno which does 5Gh at 31 c with open case and uses 23.6 to 26.6 watts at the wall on 250 volts
When i was looking at the post about flashing the miner i still was hoping bfl would reclaim the jala and send me the sc single which i ordered in the first place. But i checked which one i have received it turns out his jala has a full aluminium block which covers the jtag cable, as posted on the forum these seems to be the ones who can do between 7 and 10 Gh

The other 3 similar ones are at customs in the netherlands at the moment which will arrive in a few days, after paying some customs they are pobably stay in the box or you can ask me to test if they are ok.

Then i also own 20 asicminer block erupters black most are rev 3.0

Postage will be paid by buyer and i will ship national/international. In case escrow is demanded you agree to pay the escrow costs
I do only send with insured postage to avoid any problems with disappearing and damaged packages.

476  Local / Markt / 20 x asicminer BES en 4 x bfl jalapeno aangeboden on: September 21, 2013, 08:05:44 PM

477  Local / Markt / Re: [GEVRAAGD] 100ghz en hoger of 200ghz asic miner on: September 21, 2013, 06:39:27 PM

bfgminer new version released but again not detected yet by multiminer

OP it runs pretty stable however i am wondering if and how i ca run 2 different miners started by multiminer

This because i want to mine on gpu's alt coins and these need to switch pretty fast onto another coin

Somehow i can not get that working when the asics are doing one and only alt switching

When i switch gpu the whole mining stops and starts over detecting all devices

Now i use cgminer on the gpu because i can make that switch pretty fast onto other coins
However if i start a second multiminer it reads ofcourse the same data map, and opens up the asics and resets them instant.

People IF YOU POST ON IRC FOR HELP and just logoff after some time we can not help you

We are all over the world and in all timeframes over the planet while some of you are awake others are snoring loudly

You can not expect an instant answer there because most of the names hanging in the channel are there for different reasons

If you do not keep your client connect to the irc chat those who are trying to help can not answer and help you find the solution.

The only way to get your problems solved is then post here on the forum, else keep the irc client connected and see questions and answered later posted on your issue/concerns and even on your comments.

So do you dare to get some answers and are you not afraid of us then stay connected Wink

480  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why the Bitcoin community HAS to save the network from HashFast, CoinTerra, BFL. on: September 19, 2013, 08:08:34 AM
Well lets see some of those well known names

I agree with btc-engineer on many points
Many of my posts and talks on irc for example bitminter i have mentioned that Asic chips are extreme cheap
Ofcourse it also depends on the initial bought numbers to produce, but in general they are pretty damn cheap.
In great numbers asic cost not even $5 to 10 to be made
Somehow nobody wanted the listen because of the mass only see the massive hash power they do.

That being said does not mean a miner as a complete package will be cheap, it greatly depends on how and with what quality such a device is build. I have not see the kncminer up close yet. But far as i can see on the pictures, they are building pretty good quality hardware.

Ofcourse that they ask this steep prices is because the market is there, so they take what people accept.
However they all are overpriced and all asic builders know that, and will continue till profitabilty on mining drops below the hashpower produced by the hardware.
If you can get this done before next year when the net will be flooded with massive datacenters full of hardware coming to get the most coins you can make the smaller miners happy till these massive machines run.
I think after this has happened mining is not for the masses anymore but for the biggest wallet people out there and investment companies.

Who else are able to invest many millions in hardware, not me i am just a super tiny miner not even getting 0.01 a day
In a like 6 months my newly bought hardware will be useless, and probably will not even make the money i put into it.

The big players and the current hardware sellers who plan to mine on their own wil be the winners, they got huge profits and can invest them back into even better hardware. Many do allready and as far as i know all are mining with pretty big numbers on the net.
