461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: December 29, 2023, 04:22:00 PM
I'm just a newbie and I don't have other opportunities to make money irl because of my place of living and age. I tried already bounties and airdrops, but I'm not lucky in it. Thanks for your advices!!!
Bounties and airdrops are not anymore profitable these days, although some might still find the luck and make significant profits, but majority have lost their hopes and just focus on long term hodling or trading, or participate in signature campaigns that are giving good amount of compensation. But seeing your current position, you are still not qualified to apply in any signature campaign. Focus first on improving your post so you can earn merits and increase your level of rank.

However, if you really want to earn from crypto, then buy low and sell high. I'm talking about investing in bitcoin and hold it for long term. But before doing that, educate yourself first on the risks attached to bitcoin investment. Make sure that you know your investment well so you won't be blaming other people whenever things don't work as of planned.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 29, 2023, 03:55:35 PM
That's the side effect of gambling and no one can skip that until he realizes that he's doing it wrongly. Yes, he's gambling it the wrong way and didn't able to control himself and was able to take a huge loan. $18k is no joke in today's period of time and this money can do a lot of stuff if someone gives me that amount. But can we revert our actions just as this guy? No. But it's not too late for him to re-do his things and has to repay the loan for him to move comfortably whether he wants to gamble again or invest in Bitcoin. We can't direct people's action and correct them or regret from what they've done. It's true that there's a feeling of being able to regret as if we're in their shoes but let them serve the mistake to teach them valuable lessons in life.
It's not surprising anymore to see gamblers being addicted in betting and end up with gambling addiction. Gambling itself when abused will eventually lead you to a huge loss or make you buried in debt. But we know that does not end there. You can still get out from addiction if you wish to and see yourself recovering, that is if you want to see positive changes, otherwise you will end up broke because of financial damage.

While gambling can make you lose and leave you destitute, but some extra lucky gamblers have experienced the irony. Gambling made them rich instead, but we should not hold on to that as most of the gamblers still end up with great financial loss while they keep on taking an edge over their gambling urge.

464  Other / Meta / Re: Why do some campaign members posting essay? on: December 29, 2023, 12:27:47 PM
This is definitely based on the topic, but I can sense what you are trying to say OP because you were specific about some campaign participants.

IMO, it's okay to post long post on an informational thread, like a thread that are just suppose to go 2 to 3 pages and you'll already get the answer you are looking. However, on threads that have active discussions like for instance the NBA thread, it's a pain in the eyes when someone making long post like he was summarazing all the events on a certain day. Just my personal opinion, I don't find it appealing.

For those who are forcing themselves to make a long post just to look good, I suggest do it with sincerity as it can be seen in your post if you are sincere or not, making a long post doesn't make you a quality poster automatically.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best piece of advice to anyone going into bitcoin on: December 28, 2023, 08:33:48 PM
Buy a little bit of bitcoin every week don't care if it's a $1, $5, $10, $100, figure out what you can afford every week and buy it, get rid of unnecessary expenses or whatever you can think of getting rid of and spend it on bitcoin
5 to 10 years if you buy some every week you will be a multi millionaire
Bitcoin is a high risk and expensive asset. So one really finds it hard to buy the whole bitcoin because of its highly expensive value. Hence, buying it in a small scale basis is more advisable so you won't feel the burden of buying or investing all in. You can do it weekly or monthly, it depends as to when your income comes in your wallet. But one thing is certain, through DCA, you will achieve a single whole bitcoin in time. That works for me and might work for others as well.

Save so you can invest. That's the basic rule prior to investing. And always do what is right, invest on an amount that you are comfortable of losing.
466  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 28, 2023, 06:47:31 PM
I really admire people capable of keeping bitcoins in their wallets for years without even moving them. I see wallets that their owners never moved coins from for 10 years and wonder how they do it. If you're a HODLer. when do you hope to sell? Would you cash out if Bitcoin soars to $100,000 or sit back and wait until it gets to a million?

ONLY for HODLers please. PLease share when you'll be happy to sell.
I will surely sell when price hits $100k but probably just a portion of my coins so I can keep hodling the rest of my coins. I have to be honest that I don't really set certain target price to sell but will only decide to sell once I see bitcoin reaches its new all time high. It could be 5 or 10 years hodling, that's fine as I always see my bitcoin my retirement. Majority of my savings go actually to bitcoin, and just leave a minimal amount for fiat since its value depreciates in time.

Bitcoin reaching million is always possible, but definitely the process will be very long and uncertain. But if we end up hodling with indefinite time, I guess we will see bitcoin in a million decade from now.
467  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 28, 2023, 02:28:33 PM

https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-operates-no-license-philippines

Quote
In addition to operating without the necessary license, the SEC argued that Binance had been illicitly promoting its services in the country. The regulator warned entities involved in promoting or trading on Binance may be held criminally liable under Section 28 of the SRC.

This is a criminal offense that carries the penalty of a fine of up to 5 million Philippine pesos ($90,300), or imprisonment of 21 years, or both, under Section 73 of the SRC, the statement notes.

In an accompanying statement to the press, the SEC added it will be requesting assistance from the National Telecommunication Commission and the Department of Information and

Ingat na rin sa pagamit ng Binance kung na ban na ito para iwas kaso. Although nakalagay diyan is "entity", pero mas maigi ng mag ingat.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: December 28, 2023, 07:37:08 AM

If your goals is making all your money in gambling you need to think again, the chances of losing on the long run is huge, find something to give your time to, source of income is far more important than just gambling only.

Making a living in gambling is definitely not for everyone. It's not surprising seeing majority of the gambling posters would discourage in doing that as they themselves are unable to achieve it. However, since it's not impossible to make a living in gambling, I think it's still worth trying, especially if we really want to challenge ourselves, but with limitation of couse, that's where discipline will kick in.
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: December 27, 2023, 10:06:15 PM
You can't expect from beginners to be reliable on what they say. Sometimes, what they say are even the total opposite of what is happening in reality. While they are fond on bragging what they have, even if we know that it's not enough knowledge and skills to be a successful trader, but  let's just leave them on that because they find happiness and satisfaction on what they're doing.

However, we all know as real long time traders that it takes years before we can say that we're good at it. Although some learn faster than the other, but in trading experience will always be the best teacher. Without experience, you will never be realizable in trading.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 27, 2023, 08:42:29 PM
The value of Bitcoin has gradually reached great heights. It has become impossible for a new small investor like me to invest in Bitcoin. I am a very small investor. $2k wealth is mine. Well does Bitcoin provide any opportunity in future that I can invest.
You will clearly find it expensive if you consider buying it the whole bitcoin. But we all know that no one would instantly dare to buy the whole bitcoin, except if you have nothing to do with your wealth and you just want to invest it all in bitcoin.

However, in your case OP, just invest on the amount you can afford to lose. No need to buy and hold the whole bitcoin, just a small portion  of it is enough to hold while you are starting in bitcoin investment. But never expect for immediate big profits, bitcoin is a long term investment that it may take years or decade before you can make profits, depending on your own price preference when to sell your coin.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 27, 2023, 07:55:05 PM
...Knowing how to trade would only get you that far, but not j to the realm of successful traders. It takes a whole lot of desire to win, persistence and consistency to be a successful trader. So I assure that anyone who wants to be a successful trader can be by pursuing with passion...

This is all just theory, but in practice everything is completely different. And there are a very large number of traders who, after many years of unprofitable trading, decide to change their role to an investor. And for many, this is the right decision that allows you to earn a lot of money with minimal risk, which is still present when investing.
Not all traders are equally profitable, some are just trying hard in trading and still end up losing after trading. Anyone can be a trader but reaching the success in trading is not everyone gets. Only those who are brave enough to conquer their fears and those who are knowledgeable and skillful in trading end up trading successfully, while leaving others in failure and losses. Trading is certainly hard, especially if you are not fully aware of its risks, and are only trading because the rest of your peers are trading due to greed.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 05:48:18 AM

So this is what I like Inoue vs Casimero, biggest fight next year.

Inoue has not option now. Only Casimero the remaining Filipino fighter that he has not beaten yet. As per his record, he already beat 7 Filipino boxers, that includes Tapales on their last ifght, so if he wants to slay more, he need to add Casimero in the list.

I'm wondering what will be the betting odds when this two will face, I'm sure Inoue is still heavily favored, but I doubt he'll be -800 same with the odds we can get againts Tapales.
474  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Year end survey ; Best Signature campaign manager on: December 27, 2023, 05:36:25 AM

475  Economy / Economics / Re: How to gain money on: December 26, 2023, 09:27:12 PM
Without:
Charity, begging, illegal, stocks, trading.
There's no instant money. One will only gain if he is working on it either through going into work or creating a side hustle that will gain additional money and benefits. But for those who only wait for mercy and do nothing, money will never come to them.

Investing is also another good option. If you don't have a job and yet you are running your own business, then the chances to gain more money is high, most especially if you are managing a competitive business in your area.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 26, 2023, 08:43:32 PM
Owning a business has always been my dream, regardless if I have a current job that pays me well. It's still different to be your own boss, to be in control with your own time, and to work without being supervised by your manager or boss. Thus, growing a business is the key. Its only hard in the beginning especially if there is tight competition with same businesses in one area, but  eventually you will come to overcome it through your day to day experience.

However, if you can keep your job and your business without compromising the other one, that will be a lot better. It's best to have two heads than one, as the rate of success will be higher.
477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you use platforms offering AI help for crypto trading in 2024? on: December 26, 2023, 07:30:17 PM
Hi guys! Happy holidays! Just wanted to know if you're planning on using AI bots and such technologies to boost your crypto profits in 2024. And now that I'm talking about this, I'm curious if you've already started to use AI for taking trades.
It's not totally wrong if you want to adopt AI in your trades, as long as you know what you're actually doing and you have high knowledge in trading. AI is making its trend in the crypto trading, and in few years from now we will see it's more developed in the crypto space. But even so, I still believe that human intelligence and human skills and strategies will be more suitable in trading to achieve highest rate of success rather than entrusting into AI at such unpredictable market.

I will not lie that I'm really planning to adopt AI in my trades in the future. But until its work performance is not yet smooth sailing, then I have to trust my own instinct and intelligence in trading without fears and doubts.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 26, 2023, 04:36:25 PM
maybe you think it's easy to get out of gambling, but that's only your opinion, other people may feel that they have difficulty getting out of their gambling habit because it is difficult for them to stop their habit.

i don't want to blame them because they can't stop gambling, each person's ability is different in controlling themselves and we cannot equate ourselves with other people. so rather than cornering them, it is better to give them support so that they can control themselves and get out of their gambling habit.

It's only hard once a gambler is already addicted to it. For most of gamblers who are doing it for fun or to entertain themselves, they can get out anytime they want. Gambling is not a basic need, we can live our life even without it, so we should be able to get out, and get in anytime we want.

You'll only mess up yourself if you don't "gamble responsibly", just like not drinking responsibly, because this would lead to more problems, most of the time bigger than you expected, some even make it worst that made them lose their homes.

Just like this famous NBA player, who lose his job and his money.

https://www.marca.com/en/basketball/nba/2023/10/14/6529bf62e2704ea8b88b4606.html

It's due to addiction. Although gambling isn't mention but as a man, you are addicted to illegal substance, you might think of gambling as well.
479  Other / Meta / Re: Forum growth on: December 26, 2023, 04:04:37 PM
Why can't there be like a jackpot lottery for the forum every year and anyone who participate can win is something like that possible?

This is not a gambling forum although there are a lot of gamblers on board here. Friend, you are in a diverse platform with its main purpose being to help members educate themselves about cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. While there are competitions available, some are free, and others require a registration fee. You might want to explore the Games and Rounds board, which is located in the Gambling section.

I'll make it easier for you, just click the link  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0
