I'm just not used to you saying "Hilarious, and surely loving it" in less than 700 words.

Hilarious, and surely loving it. Okay, really now. Who the fuck are you, and what have you done with JJG?

I don't see this forum friendly when I expressed my views that I don't support gays That's because you expressed your opinion in an unfriendly manner. You chose to belittle a member of our community over something for which he has no control. I'll bet your going to argue that he does have control over his sexual desires, so before you do I'll challenge you choose differently than your current sexual orientation. Can you make the choice to be gay? I know I can't, so why would I think anyone has that choice? It seems you support gays a little more than you should. Who gets to define how much support is appropriate to give people who are subject to ignorant prejudice?

Didn't know this forum was so gay friendly ? This forum is friendly, regardless of all of our differences. Cryptocurrency was born out of the pursuit for freedom, and self reliance. How does ones sexual preferences conflict with that?

you support gays maybe but I don't. I support freedom. That means anyone's and everyone's freedom to live their lives any way they choose (with obvious restriction for the protection of others.) That also means that I support your right to express your ignorant opinions on the interwebs. I also support my right to call you an asshole. Asshole.

I don't see why not. If you have a merchant account with a credit card payment processing service you can charge your clients using that, and send their tokens directly to their wallet.
Of course accepting fiat via credit card transactions is very risky. A client could charge a bunch of your tokens on his card, then dispute the charges. As the merchant you are responsible for all charge-backs, and since it's crypto currency you'll get no sympathy or help from the credit card processing service.

Another thing, why did Canadians wanted their trash on my country? It's my understanding that many developed countries with limited real estate contract with less developed countries that have ample real estate to manage their refuse. In this case the contracts were for recyclable materials. Obviously Canada isn't limited in real estate, so I'm not sure why they don't build another land-fill to manage their own.

In reality the evidence presented by bitcoin_arena is pretty flimsy. I would feel better about this situation if @alanst had shown some restraint and researched the situation more thoroughly before locking the account.
@alanst, no offence meant, please don't take this the wrong way. I wouldn't want my account locked, and like suchmoon I'm guilty of three of the four red-flags. As for the fourth; all it takes is a couple of drinks and I'll start posting nonsense.

@DayTrader27, take it easy man. Maybe some138 actually is Taylor Swift. You wouldn't be objecting to her following you around the forum, right?
Anyway, I remember when liberox claimed you scammed him, and I thought that was a bit of reach when he made that claim. Then he said it was DrunkenTeacher, which made more sense, but I still didn't see enough evidence. I felt sorry for you at that time, I knew it would take a while for the dust to settle from that fiasco.
As for the 11 merit; it looks suspicious because krak-r has only given out 1 merit per post in the past, and only had done so twice before meriting your post. He's not a very active member and has a red-tag. All those things conspire to paint a picture that you've purchased those maaaarits. Or, received them from your alt. It's a touchy subject around here so I get why some138 is suspicious, but it could be something as simple as krak-r double tapped the "1" key before sending you the merit. Not out of the realm of possibilities, if one was going to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Now take both of those scenarios and put them together, it starts making you look even more suspicious. Again, I'm not making a judgement about any of this, way too soon to tell what's going on.
And it's likely that nothing is going on. Which is why I understand why you're upset about being stalked by some138... But, if I were you I'd start pretending it's really Taylor Swift, and enjoy it.

It's almost unbelievable, until you consider who it is you're talking about. Sometimes folks really need to bottom out before they see their destructive patterns, but apparently Marco isn't there yet.
As much as jackg's generosity is to be commended, I'm not sure it was helpful. Kind of like giving an addict "just enough to kill the pain."

@theymos, couldn't a lot of this be avoided if we had a 2FA system in place? I know you don't want to use the google system, and I don't blame you, but what about a decentralized system like using a PGP public key to generate single-use passwords, and send PGP encrypted password recovery links to the registered email?
I know we've discussed this numerous times, and it's always been shutdown. Forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse, but I think I would rather live the downsides of a 2FA system opposed to the downsides of farming out account recovery.

Can we have a list of all the forum features to which the mysterious newbies have access?
Sounds like they have access to IPs and old sec/mod logs, do they have access to PMs?
|
|
|
Do we know for sure that it was sold? I will unlock it if he will be able to prove that it wasn't hacked by going through the recovery process, however, my "hacked" radar is off the charts All I see in the seclog is the account woke up, but I'm sure you have access to older records. If it was hacked wouldn't the password have changed also? Just an email change doesn't really mean much in my opinion.

capitalism works for the capitalists, That's quite true. those that are in the core of the system (central bank) always win because they just invest. Again, true. Like my bother who's a VP at one of those banks, he does quite well for himself. Not bad for the son of an immigrant who showed up in the US with $35 in his pocket. My parents had nothing when they came here, and before my dad died they had raised four educated, professional children, and owned a house and a commercial property in one of the most affluent counties in the country. Nobody gave it to any of them. Not my parents, not my brother. They had to work their asses off for it. Opportunities don't exist in socialism, but they are plentiful in capitalism. So yes, capitalism most definitely works for capitalists.

places where when you go then never wanted to come back. I live in northern California which is one of the top tourism destinations in the world, but it can be very expensive to travel here. I know because it's expensive to live here. But if you're into natural beauty California will deliver. The Pacific ocean, beaches, mountains, valleys, forests, redwoods, and rivers are among the attractions. If you like doing outdoorsy stuff like hiking, backpacking, cycling, fishing, skiing to mention just a few, you won't be disappointed. I recently visited Thailand, and I can't get that country out of my head. I loved it there. The wonderful people, the amazing food, the hospitality of the culture, and the natural beauty all conspired to seduce me. It was my first trip to south east Asia, and I will most certainly go back.
