pool is now working, the details are on the getting started page, Pool DOES NOT support longpoll, stratum only
Able to connect now. All rejects, though.

PPS went down big time with hp9, was getting 6000-7000 pps previously. This is on 2xE5-2620, so 12 cores total. -bash-4.1$ ./primecoind getmininginfo { "blocks" : 95960, "chainspermin" : 13, "chainsperday" : 1.35648856, "currentblocksize" : 2197, "currentblocktx" : 4, "difficulty" : 9.24782068, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : -1, "roundsievepercentage" : 70, "primespersec" : 2865, "pooledtx" : 4, "sievepercentage" : 10, "sievesize" : 1000000, "testnet" : false } Normal? Apparently. I'm at about 2000, was at about 6000 previously.

@ 42.33569864 now climbing fast, i get a block every couple of minutes but still all orphans
I get a block every couple minutes as well. 8 Confirmed, 2 Orphans.

Well ASICs have joined, this sucks. Yeah, mining things with mining hardware sucks. (What?) Up to 26 difficulty. Still easily solo'able. Should definitely need a pool at around 100 and above. I think it's because ASICs jumped in, so GPUs and CPUs are pointless now already.
Nothing to do with orphans... Low difficulty is more to do with orphans. EDIT: Getdifficulty: 36.41046676

They've already stated it wouldn't happen because it's "bitcoin talk" not "altcoin talk". There are other boards that have separate subforums, though. https://cryptocointalk.com/ for example (though it's not nearly as active)

Current difficulty is 4.7 with block reward of 100. Digitalcoin is close in difficulty at 4.247, but with a block reward of 20 and is already traded on cryptsy and other places. 5000 * .000323 (digitalcoin price) = 1.615 BTC or 53 LTC
My low offer is 0.3 BTC or 10 LTC.

Bump. Mining at a measly 570 KH/s. Should be good for ~600 coins a day.

Just curious, since the release of this exchange, how many hours of downtime has there been?
From both DDoS attacks and system upgrades? I ask because I'm always over there and the site is always available, fast and responsive. Your uptime has to be on the order of +99.9% of the time and that ain't bad.
First time I've ever seen it down was today.

How to compile on Linux?

Wow, that's some secret insider information, bro. How'd you get that? Nobody can know! Oh, you just go to mcxnow.com Nevermind.

LOl your still around?
STFU your reputation is shit. As well as yuor exchange.
I like how you value your exchange at 1 Million dollars BTW with your fee sharing scam
I look forward to the release of microcash. And watching it bring an end to modern civilization like you claim in your chat when you and your buddies circle jerk each other all night
If it wasnt for primecoin mcxnow would be dead. I dont know why you even show up around here anymore
LOL Seasoned developer. I guess having every project of yours fail miserably does make you a seasoned FAG but not a programmer
Thank god BCX is back. Where is Art man?
All that rage. /pat

If you go with 7950's, 1200 watts will do it
Already got 2 7970's - but could do 2 x 7970 and 2 x 7950 (in fact was thinking of that but wanted to keep OP simple). What sort of wattage would we be taking in that scenario? http://images10.newegg.com/BizIntell/tool/psucalc/index.html?name=Power-Supply-Wattage-CalculatorObviously it's not entirely accurate, that's an estimate if everything is at 100% load, but it's best to be safe. So 1600W should be ample. The above-mentioned LEPA one should do the trick. Or two linked 800W's. Rosewill (Newegg) has some decent low-cost ones.

Cool. Diff currently: 0.24 Download links are broken on the thread, they work from the website, though. Edit: Thread links are fixed, nevermind. Edit 2: The faucet's captcha doesn't seem to work at all.

How can I install your miner on VPS server, e.g. Digital Ocean?
You'd have to use a VNCServer instance and run it through WINE as far as I know. (haven't tested in mono)

That's a silly question. The only answer is an opinion. All coins take something from previous coins, whether as a benefit or just simplicity (i.e. being able to mine them on programs that already exist). You pick one you like, then mine it. If you're going by a feature list, Bitcoin itself would be crap. It's established and valuable though, including many ways to actually use it unlike other coins. It's mostly perception and awareness and guessing which will gain either of those. What do I mine? A few of the "new" coins off and on for the sole purpose of profit. Aside from that, if you don't know what to mine, go with a pool that offers multiple choices, like multipool or middlecoin (this one doesn't net you alt coins, but gets the profit from them by auto-converting to BTC).

Yeah, we like screenshots. Did it also function or was it just some nice buttons and graphics? Did you trade one coin there?
From what I remember of it (it was a while back), it did work with play money, i.e. you could trade back and forth just fine with fake money, for testing purposes. I'd assume it'd work just fine with actual funds, they've done fine with the poker site and such, would just need to flip the switch from fake money to real money.

make something in it require windows to run if that is possible
if people want to fire up the vps clusters at least it will hopefully cost them a lot more to rape all the coins away.
Clearly, there's no Windows VPS clusters.
