Any idea of price per GH/s?
I am trying to decide to wait for you, or order through KnC.
If you are ok with discarding your KNC product in a couple of months after purchase, then go for it. MY OH MY...crow anyone?? |

I will probably turn off a working unit....take its fan and install it on faulty unit to see if it even mines....I can get into the interface, but it will not mine...so it probably has some sort of fan/safety off switch. If it mines, then it is a simple fan replacement, which that is what i think it is...dam, my luck, I will check out the fan, I was reading about some bad PSU fans on one of these threads, and the guy ordered 2 that turned out to have bad fans, but the fans were not properly seat on the shaft, so he pushed the in further, they seated, and fans now spin and PSUs now work...so here is to hoping that my bad fan fixes as easy or else time to find a fan....I shall be back!
 so my fan doesn't look too good....copper coil windings are all rusted up, when I first power up the unit, the fan looks like it wants to spin, but doesn't, it just slightly moves then nothing....so I need a fan...hopefully cleaning off the rust will help but doubt it  I would just get a new fan...they are cheap and easy to find. Just my looking at it, that fan actually got soaked which means 1 of 2 things. Either just the fan got soaked or the whole miner got soaked. so this rusted fan looked bad, and just won't work....yes a simple fan replacement yet NOT SO SIMPLE ....finding a 4 pin fan was not that easy....I stole it from my KNC JUPITER and now the ANT IS WORKING....and I put a temp. fan on the JUPITER.....knc saves my day again....hahahaha |

Dam, I think I have a faulty unit...fan is dead and I don't think it will mine unless it senses a fan....need a fan ASAP....anyone know where to get these type of fans??
or anyone care to explain how to connect like a high cfm PC TOWER fan with only 3 pins, and not the 4 like on the Antminer??
It's called a 120mm delta fan - I'd assume that one is the speed regulator. mack, thanks for the info...no either where to find, or google on how to convert a 3 pin fan to connect to four pin if its possible?? |

I'm glad other people can spot when the pool isn't doing it's job. If no one caught onto this, would this just be buried by time? I guess I'm glad I don't understand the hard technical stuff, cause I'd be looking for holes all the time and would probably be spotting them all the time. I guess it's like taking money from a blind person. Who monitors the monitor?  Not doing it's job, but not working %100 I guess. It's extremely rare since all of the bitcoind's on the various pool servers are connected to the payment server, so the odds of the payment server seeing a competing block before a Guild block are *very* low (less than 1 in 10 orphans). When they are missed, it's generally corrected a few hours later manually without anybody noticing, but it does take a few hours because correcting it is a manual process. Bitcoind does not report orphaned blocks via any RPC commands if they were not originally accepted. The current project for the pool is a complete ground-up rewrite of the Stratum code to make it more scalable (full utilization of many-core systems), allow for better merged mining integration (instead of the fairly limited version currently implemented), and multiple chains (for an scrypt multipool). Part of this rewrite is also going to make the pool servers insert found blocks directly to the database, and then the payout server will check against them before awards are assigned. It won't prevent them from still needing manual intervention to get them paid (as a security/sanity check), but it will make sure they're properly logged at the time they're found and identified as not yet paid out in the Pool Stats page. yeah! ... what eleuthria says get'em @el |
