Last time I let a wallet choose the fee.
(...)
2 Fucking weeks so far!

This is why I switched to a wallet with RBF feature (Electrum). Some would let you boost up the fee with CPFP provided you have sufficient unspent output.

Sparrow has RBF, I've just been lazy and said fuck it.

Full control over fees

This wallet gives you full control over fees. This means that this wallet allows changing the fees after funds are sent using RBF or CPFP. This wallet also provides fee suggestions based on current network conditions so that your transactions are confirmed in a timely manner without paying more than you have to.

Its no rush I just don't like baby sitting shit.

484  Economy / Speculation / [reuters] Coinbase wins approval to offer crypto futures trading in US on: August 17, 2023, 03:09:04 AM
Quote
Aug 16 (Reuters) - Coinbase Global (COIN.O) said on Wednesday it had secured approval to offer cryptocurrency futures to U.S. retail customers, scoring a major regulatory win even as it battles a lawsuit from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The move will allow Coinbase to offer bitcoin and ether futures directly to eligible U.S. customers. Until now, only its institutional clients could trade in such products.

Didn't see this mentioned.

I don't think I've posted here in like 7 years if that helps.

Cool, what are you thoughts on the current state of affairs?

well we added a mining box and are going to expand soon.

this box can do 150

ant miner s19 or whatsminer 50 or ant miner L7

will will do 1/2 of it say

55 s19
10 whatsminer m50
10 L7

At that point we will need a second transformer

like this one
https://www.larsonelectronics.com/product/152507/225-kva-isolation-transformer-415y-240-wye-n-primary-208y-120-wye-n-secondary-nema-3r

that will bring us up to the full 150 units of gear.

maybe 110 s19's 20 m50's 20 L7's

That there is getting into the big time!

We need a Proudhon post to break out.
I would enjoy a roach word on how things are going

I'd like to see a few guys check in like V8, and Jbear off the top of my head.

I'm really starting to hate $29k as much as I hated $58k

Stagnation is fucking boring

Back above $30,000 but still ranging between $29,500 and $31,800. It’s getting a bit boring but we’ll have a significant breakout within the next month or so. My bet would be to the upside.

Nothing else to say really, apart from buy any significant dip.

We’re in the first weeks of a new bull market, nothing exciting until 2024 unfortunately. Time to kick back and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Waiting for the god damn mempool again

I always overpay

But it doesn't matter, bitcoin does what it wants

A while ago, someone was making a metaphor for blocks being mined like waiting for a drink at the bar

Its more like waiting for your number to be rolled on a 6-sided dice

Statistically, each number should come up 1 out of every 6 rolls

But in reality you could be waiting a long ass time for your number to come up.

Just checked and my FF buy in still hasn't hit.

...

you quoted all that, didnt even resize the image.. welcome to ignore, you finally did it

We don’t like Warren buffet in these parts  Cheesy

He was correct on this one though.

Didn't see this mentioned yet:

We discovered a cryptographic weakness in the widely utilized Libbitcoin Explorer (bx) cryptocurrency wallet tool while following up on mysterious wallet thefts.
The bx seed subcommand for generation of new wallet private key entropy is flawed and produces insecure output.

...

I recently asked ChatGPT if the bot assigned any value to Technical Analysis in helping to predict future BTC prices.  Briefly, the bot responded yes.  But, I would place relatively little value in that bot's analysis of TA (I have relatively little faith in TA as a price prediction tool).

Of interest to some perhaps is a new bot I ran into today: ChatBTC (not ChatGPT).  This is a new AI effort focused on BTC.

https://chat.bitcoinsearch.xyz/

I just asked the below question:

Will the 12 BIP-39 words provide enough security in Bitcoin wallets for the next 10 years?

Bot response:

Holocat
Based on the provided context, it is clear that BIP-39 words are used for backup and restoration purposes in Bitcoin wallets. These words, typically consisting of 12, 18, or 24 words, can be used to easily backup, restore, or port private keys in multiple languages. However, the question specifically asks if 12 BIP-39 words will provide enough security in Bitcoin wallets for the next 10 years.

While the context does not directly answer this question, it does provide information about the use of BIP-39 words in Bitcoin wallets. BIP-39 words serve as a seed phrase that can be used to derive private keys. The security of BIP-39 words lies in the entropy they provide. With more words, the entropy increases, making it harder for an attacker to guess or brute-force the seed phrase.

Having said that, it is important to note that the security of a Bitcoin wallet depends on various factors, including the strength of the BIP-39 words, the protection of the seed phrase, and the robustness of the underlying wallet software. While 12 BIP-39 words can provide a certain level of security, it may not be sufficient for the next 10 years if there are advancements in attacks or if the seed phrase is compromised.

To enhance the security of your Bitcoin wallet, it is recommended to follow best practices such as using a hardware wallet, keeping the seed phrase offline and securely stored, and regularly updating the wallet software. Additionally, diversifying your storage by using multiple hardware wallets from different vendors can help mitigate the risk of vendor-specific vulnerabilities or server downtimes.

In conclusion, while 12 BIP-39 words can offer a certain level of security, it is always advisable to stay updated with the latest security practices and consider additional measures to protect your Bitcoin wallet.

(I copied & pasted above response, the Forum changed some formatting a bit)

I am not nearly an expert in AI, but the bots seem to provide at least some value for now.  ChatBTC may be worth keeping an eye on.

The way things were last year certainly didn't hurt Hueristic, he was doing horribly at the start of the season, and made a ton of smart moves despite the random waiver order.

Thanks man, I really spent way too much time on this and think me and Mo were tied with like 60 moves by the end of the season with someone I forget close behind, it was a real battle last year and every minuscule edge you could get was sorely needed. I really was reeling from losing those 4 guys week 1, 2 years straight of massive injuries is enough I deserve an easy year! Cheesy

For you guys that are not used to setting up waivers its kind of like a if then else statement if you program. Set your number 1 pick and then those you want after that but then repeat those same picks with different players you want to drop as you don't want to have your first pick work and then have all the other ones fail because the drop you did is no longer there. Also stacking the order with mutiple guys in differnet order is important if you are trying to make sure you keep a balanced bench by position. Its really easy to get position heavy if you stack your waiver order incorrectly and if a position dries up as usually happens about half way through the season then it can haunt you the rest of the season.

Hope this made some semblance on sense, I'm a little hungover today. Smiley
