481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 27, 2013, 09:57:48 AM
so, half of the posts are most of early miners who want to get rid of cats and difficulty increase is so harsh in early days half of global hashrate power vanished already, way below 1 GH
I don't see why any exchange platform would care adding cats at this rate...

Is this an experimental case of suicide coin or something ?

experienced guys please opine is this comment true? what can be done about it?

at this point there are 930200 catcoins a lot of early mines were doge miners use to easy digs for a lot of coins
if you look here http://catchain.info/chain/Catcoin you will see that the difficulty rose rapidly, now that it's at 64 and the payouts are smaller
many have left thinking that there pool is broken or scamming them, not realizing that mining some coins takes a lot of time for little reward.
as was said many of the miners came from doge pools and many of them noobs...
once the coin hits exchanges and finds market a steady influx of miners will find there way back after the quick bucks run dry in their quick dump...
next week a catcoin will be harder to get, let alone next month, but there are definitely enough coins out there to make it to the exchanges.
and i think it will gather interest and value...
patients is a cat trait not a dogs...

I feel like I am talking to myself  here...

I have been sending emails non stop getting people to mine this coin.

Facebook and LinkedIN posts to groups I run with 30k plus members

I got scammed out of 400+ coins 3rd day after mining from day 1. I have 45 in my wallet now running 2500 kh/s non stop.

I am looking for people to join up with to keep marketing this coin but at the same time who am I doing this for? Can anyone make a bounty for marketing etc so I can feel like I am being rewarded for the work I have been putting in?

Thanks guys and gals

To mars we go!

If you feel like a holiday present Kwanzaa just started today and I am still marketing this coin

9XcPey2zYwNgFw4kKNbvQ9aHDQ7tk8QPNq

you're doing it for yourself and the greater good...
no one gets paid, that's why you mine...
it's not fast or easy at this point, but that's the price...

I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find it.

Where can I see the current hashrate, difficulty and other stats?

WillBit: "Catcoin's market cap is only $704,900!"

@ WillBit, where did you get this info?

927,000 * .001btc each = 927btc, 927btc * $730usd = $676,710usd

thats assuming cats are worth .001btc each, of 1btc = 1k cat

edit: woops double math Tongue

so in other words you pulled it out your ass

His numbers are based on previous asking price for CAT.
his numbers are speculative and his own evaluation and not an actual, or remotely accurate number. this is his opinion and not fact...
he stated it as a fact, as if it came from here http://coinmarketcap.com/
just stomping a virus of misinformation before it spread.
there is no market cap, only personal trade value.
thank you

Selling 10k Catcoins, pm me for offer

How the fuck it is possible to mine such a amount.

I was mining sind 24. DEC and only have 170 now.
Ok my hashrate ist not high but also not low with 2100kh/s

I have same hash and I have mined 1k.

I started at 06:00 PM on 24 DEc. Maybe i was at the wrong pool within the first hours mining.
I only had 50 after 5h first hoeurs. I was not able to switch to another pool, it was christams time :-)

How much do you get now at 2100kh/s and difficulty 64

The last 3 hours i got 9CAT @ catpool.co but for over 1 hour my pool doesnt found a block

As it was time to spllep i was at coinium.org and got max 0.7/h for more than 5-6 hours

Donīt have time to jump from pool to pool and check how good it is working
difficulty of 64 and you were getting very little, i started at difficulty of 4 and only pulled out 400

pool size matters, along with hashrate and shares, plus luck of finding blocks, no blocks no coins lots of digging for no reason so if you're in a pool of people with high hashrates they will take more shares and the more people the smaller those shares get...
that's the math. and he probably got in at low difficulty that matters too

Given the current prices you're seeing, you wouldn't even have to be dealing in fractions; 1 CAT is fairly close to fiat values.

+1

Price is going up even if not as fast as difficulty. We're heading to 1btc for 1k cat and in my opinion it will raise more.

Why do i think it will raise more?

1) Fair launch: no premine and many people mining the very first day.
2) Scarcity

and you're finding my field of thought.
i think the coin needs a more mature appeal while staying cute and inviting

enter the symbol of wealth and prosperity light hearted and inviting, yet serious...
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 26, 2013, 02:13:31 PM
But exchanges will.

i know this, i'm not new to the scene. i'm well aware of the divisional math...
i also know people psychologically like to deal in wholes...
why do you think they have change jars.
people don't want to count or think about the divided by 100000, so i have .00000005397 of and that's worth Huh
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 26, 2013, 02:05:16 PM
http://coinmarketcap.com/

people should give this some thought...
if you took all the money out of bitcoin and put it into doge doge would still be worth less than a dollar.
it can therefore afford to be toony, whimsy, and cute...
catcoin on the other hand, if you took all the money out of bit coin and put it into catcoin would be 1000 dollars a coin...
now what teenager do you know that can afford that?
how successful do you want this coin to be?
what is your demographic?
what is the market?
i think china and japan would be first and foremost...
once again just food for thought.

Firstly, like Bitcoin Catcoins are divisible, so if a single catcoin becomes too expensive for an individual, then a fraction doesn't. People regularly deal in BTC to 3 decimal places. Secondly the coin isn't going to suddenly jump that high. Potentially it could reach as high as bitcoin, but how many altcoins have thought they could, I wonder?

I think catcoin will become quite valuable. I'm not sure if china will care as much about catcoin because they can't farm it like they do bitcoin.

i'm not saying it will be suddenly over night by any means.
and i'm not selling any fraction coins. nor will i deal in them...
