Well , if you changed & made a new account with new Logs and sent the coins there as the website asked you to , then there is nothing to worry about I belieave . but I personally recommend you (like the guys above) to use some Secure offline wallet like Electrum which allow you to recover your coins & wallet with a 12 word seed . no need to take backups or anything you just remember the 12 words . |

 I just upgraded my OSx to 10.10.2 from 10.9 which was mavericks. That is the error I see now, I don't know what to do now? please help theres a lot of money there... Thank you. Why are you afraid mate , just put back the seed , tell me that you have it tho Yes It will restore all your coin unless you imported new adresses to the Electrum wallet then It won't import coins of those new adresses Otherwise I don't think there is other solutions if you didn't take any backups of Private keys or wallet file . man i don't have bacon qt an i'm scared to install it since it will overwrite it, please read my post above.. i have the see but how does anyone import addresses? i only used the RECEIVE addresses that were mentioned inside the electrum wallet.. \ Or just use the wallet key tool and convert it to a .key or .wallet file, and use Multibit temporarily.
Where can I get such a converter? You have the seed ? Well you are totally fine then mate ! Just unistall it and Install Electrum again . It will ask you to Restore from a Seed that you have , you select that option , put the seed and you are ready to go . nothing more simple then that |

why do you need to backup the private keys for? Just make sure you have the 12-word seed with you.
If you have, proceed to uninstall electrum. Search for the program files folder to find out if it is still there. If yes, then delete the file. Next go to your_computer_name > AppData > Roaming
Search for electrum folder then delete it.
Start afresh by doing new installation. Use your 12-word seed to recover back your coins.
I was able to find that config file , removed it and now I now can run Electrum fine . but why I had that problem exactly ? should I delete the Config each time ? It dosen't make sense at all to me . The developer should be the best person to answer your question. But anyway, your case seems to be isolated. I never have any problem with electrum not being able to open or crash and it works great thus far. Alright , I will try to contact the developer or post on the Github page they have . and the wallet seem to work fine anyway .... It just sometimes don't run (show for seconds on TaskManager then get closed) ones I delete the config file as the guy above said , It come back to work fine , so weird thanks for your answer mate |

Hi i`m a new user, although i made my wallet a few year back, only now i`m getting interested in it really, so i got a few questions doubts about BTC.
I`m using Armory wallet as i heard its the most secure, i`m very concerned about security (a bit paranoid) so please help me make my BTC experience secure.
Here are my qestuons please answer them:
1) Is the Armory wallet the most secure, for online offline use (i dont care if the size is big or if its slow i care only about security)?
2) Let's say I lose my wallet or accidentally delete it, or the USB that i hold them on gets stolen or lost, but i got the private keys on a paper, can the wallet be recovered?
3)If my wallet is stored offline, and i back it up like 5 times, but if someone sends me bitcoin, then those 5 wallets become obsolete, and don't work anymore? Or how does it syncronize with the network if new data comes in?
4)I heard that you can transfer BTC in offline mode between wallets, how does that work if the BTC has to synchronize with the network?
5)In Armory there are some standard private keys and compressed ones, what if a new version of the Core client comes out and the key format becomes obsolete, do i lose access to my BTC?
Online wallets can never be the "most secure" . Bitcoin Core is the most secure as far as I know but it does require downloading the huge blockchain file . for your question about recovering your wallet then yes . you can recover your wallet only by using Private keys and your money will get recovered also , I personally would like to advice you to use Electrum Wallet [check electrum.org] It's the most secure on my opinion & the easiest to use and you can recover your wallet from 12 words seed which can be used as Brain wallet . (make sure you don't import adresses to it because you can't recover new adresses) |

I would like to get a solution to fix my Electrum wallet please , I had a Private keys backup so I don't worry about my Coins . but I would like to fix the .exe or whatever the problem is
Basically , I woke up and I was going to do a transaction & so I give the buyer my BTC Adress , I tried to open my Electrum wallet but it's not working . nothing happens basically
I only see it on TaskManager for few seconds then It dissapear and no Window show up
OS : Windows 8.1 - 64bits
RAM : 3GB
If you need any more informations please let me know .
