Maybe a better question is: "Why do you think people hate Islam?"

I would say ignorance, prejudice and the shameful acts of a handful of people.

It's ignorance & stupidy if you ask me . people don't bother their selfs to do some research and know more about this religion . they just hear some bullshits on TV and they go to the conclusion "terrorists" .

You know, you kind of have a point. If we could encourage them to "do some research" and then if we could control the content of the research, we could get them thinking in certain directions that we wanted. Now in the Islam world, this could be particularly easy because the writers and researchers whom they might be linked to by Islamic control search engines would be cowed into saying what we wanted. I'm thinking, control. Have the long arm of the righteous control the people and what they say and what they do. After all, it's for the common good!

There is a difference. Compare Islam with Christianity. In times past, Christianity has forced people to become Christians or die. Islam does this right now. Look at Egypt. The only reason the Coptic Christians survive is that the government of Egypt wants to look fair in the eyes of the world. If they didn't want this, there would be a big civil war, and the Christians would be wiped out. Christianity has built into it, mercy for all people. Islam only has mercy for Muslims... and then sometimes not.

I was raised as Christian so i dont know Muslim religion that well, but i am 99.9999% sure, they teach of mercy to all people living on earth.

If you think that American Christian boys and girls get into the American military because they want to fight for God and Country, you are naive. They do it because they want to learn how to kill. Christianity is against killing. But they do it so that they can kill anyway. When you have Islam, a religion that introduces killing as part of its philosophy of life, you don't need an Islamic military. The boys and girls simply go out and kill. All that an Islamic military does is to teach them the best ways to do it.

I would not mind living under a total tyranny IF the regime was equally evil and bad to everyone. That never happens as someone always knows someone who can give him an extra loaf of bread, or avoid physical punishment, or delay his tax payments infinitely, or punish someone who burn a koran but not a bible, nor gandhāran buddhist texts. That is why I don't like Tyranny: Never fair and balance in its evilness...

Islam is a religion of peace. It taught us about humanity. Who said you that our rligion taughy us about to hate other people. Yes their are few people in every religion who hate other religion I don't know why they do like this. Because every religion has respect. Those people spread some unpeacefull activity.

Islam is also the only religion to make people fight for it with others, who don't accept it. Long ago Christians had their own jihad in the form of crusades, but nowadays only Islam condones similar behavior.
