481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 22, 2023, 10:59:27 AM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.

You will have to find some owner of a sports betting platform and ask him. Grin Most of the forum members don't have sports betting platforms.
What's the main purpose of sports betting? I think that the answer is "making money". I don't believe that the people are betting on sports just for fun. Traditional casino games are made for fun. Sports betting is more like buying a bunch of lottery tickets and waiting for the jackpot.
If you own a sports betting company and you make big profits, then what's the point for your to make bets on your own betting platform?
This doesn't make sense to me at all.
482  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: November 22, 2023, 06:24:03 AM
Binance has really made a reputable name and laid an outstanding legacy through the years as the best exchange that has earned global trust. Everyone feels safe with Binance. Just yesterday,  CZ the CEO and Binance Founder Pleads Guilty to Violating Money Laundering Rules and agrees to pay a $50 Miliion Fine and to also step down as the CEO  as part of his guilty plea. And that same yesterday cZ officially resigned and bid goodbye to his office as the CEO of Binance, Although still making himself accessible to the company. It might also interest us to know that Binance itself was also found guilty and charged as well, and also agreed to pay a $4.3 Billion fine and restitution to the government. So my Question is, with all the tension on ground, is Binance going to survive this or would this be the end of Binance even after naming a new CEO, since the news surfaced online, people has been repeatedly taking out their funds from the exchange with the fear of the exchange crashing. So what's going to be the impact of this tragedy on Binance??

Why do you even care about Binance? Centralized crypto exchanges should become a thing from the past. We don't need them anymore.
There's no centralized crypto exchange that hasn't been involved into illegal stuff like money laundering, scamming the customers, faking trading volumes, etc. I'm surprised that Binance didn't turn into the new FTX(it might turn in the near future).
Every time Bitcoin is having a price pump something like this happens and the prices start going down. Centralized exchanges helped a lot in crypto adoption, but they are a burden for the crypto world.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: November 21, 2023, 11:26:24 AM
No, life isn't cheaper with crypto. Crypto just preserves it's value better than fiat money(in the long term).
That doesn't mean that everything(goods, services, food, gas, etc.) is getting cheaper. The global resources and commodities are limited, while the global population is growing. The demand of that population for better goods and services is also growing. This means that the value/price of all resources is determined to only go up in the long term. Money printing and currency devaluation only makes things worse.
If something costs 100 USD, you can't buy it for 80 USD by using crypto.
484  Economy / Gambling / Re: YoCa.sh Multichain Casino | No Deposits, Decentralized, No Kyc, Instant Payouts on: November 21, 2023, 08:02:45 AM
Welcome to the forum.
I've been waiting for a fully functional decentralized casino for so long.
I can't wait to play rock-paper-scissors in player-vs-player move. Grin When will PVP mode become a reality?
I don't trust this "connect your wallet" feature. Many people have been scammed by connecting their wallet to an unknown third party.
Also I didn't find any info about the "Investors getting dividends" program. How big dividends do you plan to offer?
Are the dividends guaranteed and how the investors can protect their rights, if there's no dividend? Do you plan the "investment/dividend" system to be also based on smart contracts and located on the blockchain?
Anyway, good luck with this project, OP!
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 21, 2023, 07:25:06 AM
AFAIK, Argentina is a presidential republic, but the president there is definitely not a dictator and cannot decide anything on his own.
Milley's party doesn't have a majority in the Congress and Senate of Argentina. I don't know if he even has his own party or coalition.
I don't believe that Milley will impose both the USD and Bitcoin as legal tenders in Argentina, because he will face severe resistance in the Congress and Senate. His economical and financial program seems very radical and libertarian, so the left wing politicians in Argentina will try everything they can to stop him.
486  Economy / Economics / Re: when the rich say 'ill give 95% of my billion away over my lifetime' explained on: November 20, 2023, 07:48:40 AM
1.The truly rich people(the top 1%) usually don't keep all their money in bank accounts. They diversify their assets.
2.I agree with what you wrote, but I don't agree with the "put money in a bank account and wait for the interest rate" thing.
Usually the rich people declare that they will put their assets in their own charity foundations, in order to deduct taxes. AFAIK, charity foundations are tax free in many countries around the world. All the "rich people donating money for charity" BS is mostly done in order to spend less money on taxes.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 20, 2023, 07:10:22 AM
Quote
So what he family did was to print a photograph of him and giving it to all the gambling shops within their neighborhood and around the locality, threatening that any of the gambling shops they have pasted the photo of their brother should they find their brother allowed to gamble in the shops they will sue the gamble shop owner to court as one that is abetting their brother's compulsive gambling lifestyle.

What do you mean by "gambling shop"? A casino or a sports betting shop?
1.How they can find out that their brother had gambled in one of the local "gambling shops"? What if the owners of those "shops" lied about this particular family member not gambling in their shop? This is too difficult to be proven in court.
2.The guy with compulsive gambling behavior is an adult. He has the right to visit casinos and to gamble(assuming that offline gambling is allowed by the law in that particular country). I don't think that they will achieve anything by suing the local "gambling shops".
I really doubt that this gambling addict would win a big amount of money via gambling. Even if he manages to win a big amount, he would most likely waste all the money in no time.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senator introduce"keep your coin act" to protect right to use self-hosted wallet on: November 20, 2023, 06:09:40 AM
The junior Senator of the United States, Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) Introduces 'Keep Your Coins Act' to Protect Right to Use Self-Hosted Wallets
These act was introduced to allow individuals to maintain the custudy of the coins or cryto currencies in there self-hosted wallet. He further stated that the reason for this "Keep Your Coins act" would protect an individual’s right to conduct transactions with cryptocurrency assets without the need to utilize a third-party intermediary. And the reason behind this is a prior to FTX collapse that it would save people from third party risk.
Do you think this will affect CEX?
Do you think this is a bold step to embrace the use of DEX?

1.This "keep your coins act" is just a proposal. There's no guarantee that will be accepted in the Congress and Senate.
2.Is there really a need for a specific law, in order to protect the cold wallets of all cryptocurrency users in the USA?
I think that cold wallets are a private property and the right of having private property is guaranteed in the constitution of the USA.
Maybe the USA is slowly turning into a fascist totalitarian state, that will try and confiscate everything it can from it's citizens. Sad
489  Economy / Economics / Re: When Was the Last Time you Came Across a Positive Economic News? on: November 19, 2023, 12:08:39 PM
I find myself pretty bothered by everything going on in the world. Have you ever noticed how it's so hard to come across positive news about the economy, whether it's in our own country or globally? It's genuinely disheartening. Every time we read, watch, or discuss something related to the economy, it's all about inflation, recession, debt, bankruptcy, companies downsizing, laying off hundreds of workers, shareholders firing CEOs, and the company's stock taking a nosedive. Can't we just catch a break and have some good economic news for once?

That's how the clickbait "news market" a.k.a journalism works nowadays. Only bad news are worthy, nobody cares about the good news.
I don't hear any good economic news about my country, but I've heard some good news about the US job market being in a very good shape(despite the higher interest rates and the expectations of a recession).
The news about the EU economy tend to be very negative, but I think that the German economy is very resilient and adaptive and most of the negative news are just hidden propaganda, which is coming from the people, who hate the current "powers that be" in both the EU and Germany.

Quote
We would know this as casinos say in their terms that playing with fun money does not incur the same level of randomness when playing with real money, which is really code for saying that fun money results to more flashy wins when you really can't win anything

Any online casino, that is clearly stating this in it's Terms of Service openly admits that the games are rigged. This seems like a really dumb move. Grin
I don't watch gambling streamers because I don't trust them. This is just another form of sneaky advertising. I believe that gambling streamers should be banned completely. Platforms like Twitch are supposed to be for gaming streamers only(which was their initial purpose).
I don't know why in some countries gambling advertising is banned and yet they allow streamers on platforms like Twitch to gamble.
This seems like a violation of the gambling advertising ban in several countries.
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 19, 2023, 07:18:19 AM
1.Please move this thread to the Altcoin discussion forum, if you really want to discuss altcoins.
2.Altcoins hitting an ATH when Bitcoin has a short term price pump? I've seen this before and it's not uncommon. You must a be a total crypto noob, if you have never witnessed altcoins hitting ATH when BTC is having a bull run. This correlation only proves that altcoins depend on Bitcoin and they are just an addition to Bitcoin. They can't compete against BTC, they just follow the BTC trend. I guess that the stablecoins are the only altcoins that increase their trading volume when BTC is going down. The problem is that the stablecoin prices are fixed and can't go up. Grin
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your strategy on high volatility slot game? on: November 17, 2023, 07:22:26 AM
I play slot games but I always avoid high volatility slot games such as hacksaw and nolimit because this provider often gives more lose bets without hitting anything big even with bonus round. I’m not how did some players manage to become successful hitting huge multiplier from this provider.

Are betting fixed amount of spin on each game then move on to the next slot game after the you reach your target spin count or you wait to hit something big before you switch games.

In an event that you hit early huge multiplier, do you still play using same game or you immediately switch different game?

There's no strategy in luck based games. Calling this a strategy is just fooling yourself that there is a way to control your luck and outsmart a luck based game. Does switching games change anything? Do you think that switching a game after hitting a multiplier will somehow increase your luck? I think that this is delusional and your luck won't be changed by this. You could hit a big win after switching the game and you could hit a big win without switching the game(in both cases the chances are really low).
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bull run best time to promote Bitcoin related affiliate programs? on: November 17, 2023, 06:52:51 AM
I feel that when Bitcoin is reaching peak prices, all news sites cover the news. As a result, lot of new users come to Bitcoin. As a result, this can be a good time to invest in promotion of crypto affiliate programs. The chances for conversions will be higher as Bitcoin popularity will already be in mind of people.

Can you recommend any crypto affiliate programs, that are actually legit?
I know about many crypto affiliate and CPA offers, that are active on multiple CPA networks, but most of these offers seem kinda sketchy and shady(even though they pay insane first-time-deposit commissions). I wouldn't be comfortable promoting some obscure shady crypto exchange or "get rich quick via investing in crypto" offer knowing nothing about the legitimacy of the crypto exchange.
The other type of crypto affiliate offers I know about are crypto gambling offers, but I don't want to promote these to people, who might be considered gambling addicts.
Unfortunately BTC bull runs are the best time for Bitcoin noobs to fall a victim in such "get rich quick via crypto" offers.
494  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 16, 2023, 11:34:37 AM
How do you strategically navigate hyperinflation to safeguard your financial well-being?

Would you invest on crypto, stocks or household when the cash is not the king?

Invest in everything(crypto, gold, stocks, real estate, etc.) and just try to get rid of your shitty national currency as fast as possible.
Don't store money in your national currency in a local bank account. Try to convert them to USD, euro or any other stable currency.
In times of hyperinflation, the banks in your country will offer ridiculously high interest rates, in order to preserve the purchasing power of the money, but the hyperinflation will eventually eat that purchasing power, despite the high interest rates.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning big amount after watching streamer on: November 16, 2023, 11:05:03 AM
Congratulations. Did you manage to successfully withdraw your profits?
What's the point of this forum thread? Bragging about your winning or trying to find a weird connection between watching this particular streamer and your profit? I can't find such connection other than what you have mentioned(being motivated to gamble by watching other people gambling). You were lucky. Enjoy your profits, but I don't think that you will have any luck, if you start playing slot games every day.
I hate watching gambling streamers. It seems sketchy to me and it's a waste of time. I'm not going to learn anything new about gambling just by watching a streamer waste his money on slots games(he is getting paid to do this, so he doesn't lose anything actually).
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin price if Solar superstorm 'wipe out the internet'? on: November 16, 2023, 06:58:24 AM
While browsing through social media, I came across an article that mentioned Solar superstorms could 'wipe out the internet' for weeks or months, scientist says. Will the loss of internet connectivity for weeks or months affect the value of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin? What will be the outcome?

Source: https://www.foxweather.com/earth-space/solar-storm-wipe-out-internet

I'm not an expert in this field, but I remember reading somewhere about modern day electric grid being able to survive a solar storm.
I don't know anything about solar superstorms and I don't think that a solar superstorm will hit the planet Earth anytime soon.
If the electric grid gets destroyed by such superstorm everything will be affected, not just Bitcoin. The global economy and the global financial markets would also be affected. I think that the financial markets will be simply closed and nobody would be able to buy and sell for a while.
Everything will get back to normal, after the electric grid gets repaired.
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bullish momentum - Breaking through the $35,000 mark on: November 15, 2023, 11:55:25 AM
Last week was highly anticipated for Bitcoin (BTC) enthusiasts, as it saw the price surge above levels not seen in over a year. Taking a look at the moving averages, the MA-20 (in red) has shown significant strength compared to the MA-50 (in orange) and has managed to avoid any negative trends this month. This suggests a positive sentiment for the world's largest digital asset.
On the technical front, the RSI (Relative Strength Index) is poised for a potential move into the overbought territory. This might lead to profit-taking as BTC could reach new yearly highs once again.

This bullish momentum, breaking through the $35,000 mark, is largely attributed to the growing optimism surrounding the potential approval of a Bitcoin Spot ETF by the SEC.

Overall, the next targets for BTC can be placed at $36,000 and $38,000, respectively. In case of profit booking momentum, support levels can be placed at $33,000 and $30,000, respectively.

Frankly speaking, I couldn't care less about MA-20 or MA-50. I think that the price will start doing down back to 30K USD.
I don't understand the growing optimism about the Bitcoin Spot ETF approval. I'm usually pessimistic, when there's too much optimism on the markets. I have the feeling that the Bitcoin ETF won't be approved and this will cause a price crash back to 20-25K USD.
In 2024, there will be a short term recession, which will cause price drops across all financial markets. I don't believe that Bitcoin will turn into a legit safe heaven asset. I'm still optimistic about 2025, though.

How do I take advantages over the gambles while I am not gambling anymore?
I tend to invest in the gambling. How?
At my visits in the gambling grounds, I will be lending my funds to the losers who has run out of  funds and willing to bet more if they have more money.
I tends to make this a deal with interest charges with concrete agreement to be secured and I will be opened to also accepting collaterals.

I verily know that I will succeed more of the inexperienced and those gamblers who doesn't have gambling budgets including those who can't take control over their gambling emotions

So basically you want to become a "loan shark" and you want to financially exploit gambling addicts? I wouldn't call this "investing".
This seems more like a mobster tactic. Can't you just come up with a better business plan or a somewhat original idea?
By investing in gambling, the first thing that comes in my mind is trying to build your own online casino or buying a share in an existing casino.
Are you sure that most gambling addicts have a collateral, in order to get borrow money from you?
Do you really think that the gamblers will be able to repay those loans and the interest rates?
Good luck with you so called "investment".
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High fees are not bitcoin's destinty on: November 15, 2023, 06:37:05 AM
The Bitcoin miners don't mind the Ordinals, because they make bigger profits from higher transaction fees.
If there wasn't any Ordinals, another feature might be introduced and it will congest the BTC blockchain with transactions that will be viewed as unnecessary by most Bitcoiners. We have to face the truth, that the Bitcoin Core blockchain simply cannot handle massive amounts of transactions without getting congested. This is one of the problems that will always stop the mass adoption of Bitcoin. Making the block size bigger doesn't solve the problem and BCH is a living proof. Bitcoin isn't perfect. Bitcoin isn't a financial panacea for all problems.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: Honestly do we really got rugpulled in pandemic? on: November 14, 2023, 11:12:13 AM
What do you mean by "we"? The people in India suffered from the pandemic in a different way compared to the people in USA.
The old people suffered during the pandemic in a different way, in comparison to the young people. There's no "we", if you ask me.
Some people got paid stimulus checks for nothing and they enjoyed a big "vacation" during the lockdowns, while others had to survive without government aid and without a substantial income. Who got "rugpulled"? The first group or the second group? The answer is pretty obvious, but do you think that the governments had any choice. Without the lockdowns, the healthcare systems would've probably collapsed, causing the death rate to reach unprecedented levels.
Searching for conspiracy theories about "rugpulls" planned by the global rich and powerful elites is a completely different subject.
