I am unsure what benefits this would provide over going to APMEX directly, or a bitcoin accepting bullion dealer ... is this purely to gain a level on anonymity from the vendor ?

Great innovation here ! Good to see something a little different from the rounds with holos or paperwallets

I will wait for a few more folks to give their opinions once they have recieved them, before I order one. But I like it.

I would love to see some evolution of this concept into a 'reusable' product. Similar level of protection against the elements, but that you dont have to destroy to access the funds .... if that is possible. Potentially ship with spare rings to DIY the BIP38 encrypted Secret Key (ie self engrave) for the next use. Appreciate that would be a big ask ! Potentially compromise a little on the level of protection available, for the ability to reuse.

Watching :-)

488  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Lealana Silver LTC coin on: November 01, 2016, 11:05:28 PM
I have a number of Lealana silver LTC coins available, but all are funded and graded

25 LTC. 2 @ MS67, 1 @ 68
10 LTC errors. 1@64, 1@65, 2@67

I do also have a full roll of 20 first series 1 LTC coins, but they arent silver

Plus a silver 0.1 BTC graded MS69 (again funded by Smoothie)

Let me know if any interest :-)

Where is the list of the 9 people that *got* offered and *bought* these coins? I'm pretty sure that not all of them want to remain private, so might as well let us know (otherwise the story can't be verified at all).

I am one, it landed here last week. Story is as described. Individual PMs sent, so I dont have a list of any other buyers.

I dont know the criteria used to select the lucky few. I feel Halo may be on the right lines with the gold coin. I am assuming those that have got at least one of each coin that has come before (including the goldie) were asked. But I dont know (I just know my own purchase history with CI).

Please dont be down on CI. This was well intentioned. But I know there are many not seeing it that way. This was just a misjudgement, nothing more.
490  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] 0.5 BTC Casascius Brass Graded on: October 11, 2016, 10:29:22 PM
I have a few brass halves available. Got a variety of grades, and a mixture of 2013 funded plus some more recently funded coins.

What grade are you looking for?

Thanks for your reply.  MS-67 or better.

Ok. Give me a day or 2 to have a look at what there is. I will drop you a pm

Sharp looking coin Smoothie, great work. Reminds me of some of the old school Royal Hawaiian Mint coins done by Norfeds BVNH. Which isn't a bad thing ! Cracking holo, a real step forward IMO

Mintage question .... Is it 250 total across both finishes, or 250 for both of the finishes making 500 total ?

494  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRE-ANN]Crypto Imperator Pure Gold Bitcoin Coin on: August 26, 2016, 10:52:53 AM
I would imagine CI would need to get firm commitments to buy before doing a larger run. Even then its a bigger outlay getting that much gold, on a bigger run. Any going unsold after minting is a lot of tied up BTC

I expect we need to see individual coin pricing based on mintage numbers, if indeed there is any flexibility on the numbers. Then formalise a commitment in some way to protect CI

As i know and own some , there are two 2013 0.01 btc zombie error coins
one is funded and one is unfunded(it had wrong privkeys) and there are only 10 of unfunded ones , no idea on quantity of funded

GOod luck Cheesy

There are no funded zombies, they are zombies as they are unfunded. They look the same as series 1 0.01 2013 coins, as they were intended to be those coins, but are different

As above, funding for the zombie coins was sent to a different incorrect address (and lost). The key under the hologram corresponded to a different (unknown) address, and as such the coins couldnt be funded

If Miffman only kept 3, I kept 5 ish, Viz had 12. Thats 20. I know Grav kept at least a couple. Not sure of the source of MJ's. There are also the 30 or so coins that may or may not have been returned (approx 1/3 of the rest of them had been kept, so perhaps 10 of these survived ... ?). Best guess is 30 - 33 of them remained as zombies, rather than getting returned and rekeyed / holod

Funded coins, there were many. 100's rather than 10's.
