Hey Elambert,
If you are able to post to the UK, I would like to help out by handing some cards to the selected potentially interested individuals I meet and introduce to cryptocurrencies.
I'm sure many will relate that mostly we are met with disbelief, scepticism and ridicule. Your cards will add some authenticity to the exchange, and are a great conversation starter. What better way to introduce someone to cryptos than through our CBX itself!

Great Killiz! Please PM your address and we will send you out some cards Smiley

Thanks for the clarification ByronP. I sent you a PM by the way.

CapnBDL - your Promo Cards are on their way today! Thanks Smiley

Do we have a date or block number for PoW shutdown?

Not yet but we will give a full 2 weeks notice once we release the new Vault 2.0 so everyone will have time to update.

Current
1. Confirm on received? 5 blocks
2. Confirm on rewards? 5 blocks
3. Minimum maturity? 5 blocks
4. Average reward? 1.2% annual on older than 30 days; 1.5% annual on older than 90 days

PoSP
1. Confirm on received? 5 blocks
2. Confirm on rewards? 5 blocks
3. Minimum maturity? 5 blocks
4. Average reward? 2% annual of total money supply at time of block + transaction fees

PoSP scheduled for implementation in Q4 of 2015

PoSP Overview:
PoSP will insure that a 2% annual interest rate is always paid to the network, regardless of how many CBX are being staked at any given time allowing for a considerably higher interest rate to be awarded to those staking their CBX (consistently running the CBX Vault software).

this is the only wallet i can't get to work on my machines.

It throws up some error after trying to sync for a while, i can't see the error just makes a twang sound and the error message is behind the cgb wallet pic.

c++runtime error or something i think i saw it mention before it closed?

Sounds like you may have a corrupted file. First create a copy of your wallet.dat to your desktop. If you lose or delete this file, you will lose any CBX your Vault presently contains.

Now go ahead and delete all of your files from your roaming folder for Crypto Bullion. Then follow the step by step manual over at our forum here: http://forum.cryptobullion.io/index.php?topic=1455.0

This will lead you through the download process for the newest CBX Vault and also help you to insert a bootstrap of the blockchain so you do not have to sync from the genesis block.

After you are up and running and synchronized, shut down your Vault. Now go back to the roaming folder for CBX and replace the newly created wallet.dat from your download with the one you saved to your desktop from the first step.

Hi CBX Members,  i had a few questions about specs.

1.  Confirm rewards?
3.  Minimum coin age till mature?
4.  Average reward?

Is this a question regarding current algo or upcoming PoSP?

Also, website is down temporarily for maintenance. Will notify once back up.

Have you ever thought that the constant annual inflation in this coin scares many investors.

In Crypto Bullion's current hybrid algo implementation 1.5% of the inflationary rate is actually interest payments going directly to investors (should not scare them). Only .5% of the inflation is resultant from new CBX created via the PoW mining process (chosen for CBX distribution) - which is winding down after over 2 years. Essentially the 2% is not quite as you are understanding it.

Please note, our soon to be released PoSP implementation will remove PoW mining and allot the full 2% inflationary rate as interest payments to investors.

And by the way, this problem https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.msg11692604#msg11692604 is still not solved..

Thank you for staying on this. Please know we have noted this and have yet to determine the appropriate resolution - focus has been on PoSP development. Just for a little insight, this occurrence did not exist when we were using BerkeleyDB, but Vault startup time was extremely slow. With current LevelDB, startup time is greatly improved but we have this occurrence.

What kind of return will I be looking at with just 73.xx CBX?

CapnBDL - return is dependent on network participation; the less people staking, the more likely you are to earn a PoSP block = the more CBX you will earn.

After PoSP launches, your Vault will need to be open online and unlocked for staking. Your CBX will have to sit in your Vault for at least 1 hour untouched at which point they become eligible for earning PoSP stake occurring at a target rate interval of one block per minute. The larger your Vault balance, the more likely you are to earn the PoSP block that occurs at that minute. Once you earn a PoSP block, your staked CBX will have to wait the 1 hour minimum time limit once again before being eligible to qualify for the subsequent PoSP blocks.

Our white paper will be released with the new Vault v2.0 that will explain in better detail, but this is essentially the best we can do to answer your question without knowing network participation at any given time.

Got my P2P promo cards in!

Anyone in the US who wants to assist with distribution, please let me know and I can send you some.

Looks like Banx.io is leading the exchange poll. I am adding buy orders there working on closing the gap to the sells. Nice exchange.

Shaping up to be a very exciting closeout to the year for CBX

I can never seem to load my wallet anymore so I can stake. I just indefinitely sits in the state of "loading blockchain index".... This is after I just deleted everything except wallet.dat and re-synced the chain...

Any ideas? I'm using 1.3

Did you try the bootstrapped blockchain download option from the site?

Here is a guide one of our community members put together. http://forum.cryptobullion.io/index.php?topic=1455.0

Please let me know how you make out...

@BitcoinNational

Agree. As soon as we have completed the PoSP fork and got the Promo Card project momentum going, we will be able to put some more attention back into the physical backing project. The groundwork is there already though so anyone can participate now. This is all designed to fit together like a puzzle.

@VonSpass

Looking very good, excellent work! I am eagerly anticipating receipt of my cards now!

This project has some amazing potential and will assist in breaking the barriers separating the crypto-tech space and the monumentally larger general populace.

PoSP algorithm will pay more to bigger balances

Yes.

Also of great importance is to realize that with PoSP, interest is variable based on the number of CBX being staked on the entire network at any given time. If you don't stake your CBX, you forfeit your interest earnings to the CBX that are being staked. Holding funds on an exchange guarantees you miss out on your deserved interest earnings while forfeiting that money to the exchange or to the rest of the network if the exchange also decides not to stake.

thank you, low infation really

what can you say about CBX checkpoints?
how do you control them?
did you reverse transactions before?

does CBX have or plan to have merged mining?

thank you

* Checkpoints are added when necessary with new releases.
* Most recent release, Vault v1.3.0.0 has checkpoints up to block 960,000.
* Transactions have never been and will never be reversed.
* CBX does not have nor will it have merged mining.
* PoW will be removed in the next Vault release slated for Q4 of 2015 in which our unique proof-of-stake design PoSP (proof-of-stake-participation) will be released. http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/over-2-years-old-valuable-bitcoin-alternative-cryptobullion-cbx-announces-unprecedented-posp-algorithm-and-expansion-into-chinese-markets/

Guys,
I am seeing some chatter in other threads regarding possible issues with Cryptsy. Most likely this is just FUD. Cryptsy has been around for quite some time and has been a great ally for CBX.

That being said however, I just want to remind the community that the safest place for your CBX is in your personal Vault. Exchanges are meant for trading not storage so please be cautious with trusting any third party with your finances. Better safe than sorry.

CBX is a former CGB launched in 2013, am I right?

Block explorer?
Estimated altcoin inflation or total supply over the next 10 years?

The information is needed for http://alt19.com/19/cryptocurrency.php

Thank you.
