Attention Grantcoin community:
I'm the dev of Grantcoin. A forum administrator has deleted two of my posts in this forum and informed me that they were deleted. One of them was me thanking kevin1234a who listened to my recent interview on Bitcoins and Gravy and said he thought our team did a good job. Another one was to welcome jepistons to this thread whom I knew before from my work in SolarCoin and who recently came here and expressed support for Grantcoin.
The posts by kevin1234a and jepistons, which I was responding to, were also deleted by Bitcointalk forum admins.
I made further inquiry to the admin and was told that somebody probably reported these posts and that they may have been perceived as an attempt to bump this thread with insubstantial posting.
It seems that some user(s) on this website, probably from competing coins, are trying hard to reduce the attention that Grantcoin will get here, by asking admins to delete our community members' posts. If users can't express their support for the Grantcoin project without having their posts deleted, then this thread doesn't provide an accurate perception of the level of interest in Grantcoin among the altcoin community. Also, if posts are going to be frequently deleted by admins, then it would make it difficult for this forum to function as a general gathering-place for the Grantcoin community.
The Grantcoin team will have to give further thought to how we will be using Bitcointalk from now on. Perhaps this venue will be primarily used as a place to make announcements, and we might look for a different venue for general Grantcoin community discussion, which would be uncensored.
We apologize for the deleted posts. There appears to be nothing we can do about it.
Eric Stetson Executive Director The Grantcoin Foundation
It's possible move all discussion off Bitcoin talk over to Facebook. Bitcoin Talk admins have no power there.

All quiet before the storm?
- We have made the site (solcrypto) into Japanese. So this means that another language and 130 million Japanese speakers can read about SolarCoin!
The FAQ parts were the hardest to translate. - So far, we have 2209 solar plants listed in Japan inside the Solcrypto website. They include the location (lat/long), size (MW), Owner company name. Additionally, we connected the Solcrypto site to a satellite algo that checks the surface of Japan plus a public database of solarplants >50kW in size and automatically lists all plants in Japan. The algo is re-run each week and re-updates the list.
- Now also that the site is in Japanese, our affiliate ripple sites in Japanese language are starting to link to the solcrypto site.
Thanks, lfloorwalker That is fantastic news!

With 98 Billion outstanding coins it won't matter what the rates are since the price will always plummet until these coins are claimed, just secure the blockchain. POST should work fine.
Maybe you should reconsider the total amount of coins? Take the 33 Million already created and make that the cap. Then, if solar users want to claim coin they should buy it. This would show the utility of the coin. If you want to participate in a coin there must be a cost. Instead of just selling your claimed coin out perpetually. 98Billion in free claims to be sold out!
You could also make it so that anyone can claim through their solar panels and use the claim coin to POST with. This way they can not spend their claim coin, have it locked down so that all they can do is secure the blockchain and get paid interest for it. If you don't take this idea to Vericoin and have them implement a system to do this with, your coin will stagnate forever.
You have the base of SLR COIN created by POW. So now the market will dictate the claims. The claim can be written into the blockchain and create a POS structured weight from the coins inside that wallet. So if the Claimer has 25MWH of claims they now have a larger POST to work with and have an edge over the other 33Million coins. If the 25MWH claim buys 10,000 SLR they now Boost their Coin Weight on the network and incur a larger POST principle to secure on the network.
This is the only way to utilize the coin properly. You will always have people dumping coin if you don't. Creating a claim to base POST from will make it so that you also now have demand for your actual SLR COIN since claimers will need to buy to generate a worthwhile POST value. This also means you can have every solar claim that could ever possibly be made link to your coin. It gives you an effective 98Billion without deriding the network and the COIN price.
I think you will see the Light shining brightly on your Solar Panels with this idea now, and if you don't it just means you like trying to earn money from your solar panel at Night.
Actually this idea self perpetuates SLR now too. Watch what happens to the price when your Claimers can not sell their claims and must buy to earn POST. It is standard supply and demand.
Hope this idea helps restructure the coin into a success. I would also be interested in the coin if these ideas were taken into effect, until then any Band-aid in POST vs POSV won't help the coin prosper.
Released over a 40 year period I don't see a huge influx of delfation. SLR Holds back claims then? How do you stop people from claiming if the point is to claim? Well I guess you don't really have to worry about ever hitting the 98 Billion then since not many people will claim just to sell at these prices. The whole point of what I suggested would be to Claim in order to boost the POST and gain more of a share of the Generation of POS with your Claim. Combining Coin with POST Claim Value creates demand for the coin. This idea drives buying for STAKING your CLAIM. What drives buying now? People looking to get rich? lol Your math doesn't add up.

The Feathercoin developers are pretty straight forward. It's a great community. They might be a good bet on getting the ball really rolling on the SLR fork. https://www.feathercoin.com/

After thinking about it, POSv wallet rewards should give out as little coin as possible since coins added to the market which are not 1MWH=1SLR claimed will de-value prices ... they represent value added in online wallet users and NOT power generated. Even 200k/yr coins would be a LOT considering how much power that is and how few claimants are involved at this point. Does anyone else agree that adding non-claimed coins to the network usually doesn’t add that much benefit and brings price devaluation at the same time? That depends on where the coins go that come from staking. As staking becomes a reality, I will begin to toss some staking interest into one of the reserve addresses effectively locking the coins up for several years.

If people want to develop the PoS software they can bid for it. That's the only fair way of getting the job done.
Lowest bid wins.

Coinme, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your coins. Hopefully we can figure out who the thief is when/if they sign on for CEO status.
Thank you! This is what I was hoping to hear in the beginning from ARCH Owner, CEOs or Support. I have given up hope of this happening as the lack of support shown by ARCH top dogs is quite remarkable. To date I know of 5 now ex ARCHers who have contacted me and described losing coins in a similar manner. The total lost to hacks/theft or whatever you want to call that I've been made aware of is over 200k ARCH which by the latest prices is around 75BTC worth, and I'm sure there will be others who no longer monitor this thread, have walked away from ARCH and no longer follow this coin or do not wish to make their loss public. Edgar ARCH will know a lot more but he is remaining silent on this matter and has offered no assistance in tracking the thief. My recent posts here sparked a response from ARCH Support and Tom has been polite. Thank you, Tom, but unable to be of assistance as he does not know who is ARCH rich lister #2 at the following address. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/address.dws?AL8PwmG2wC5Kjq9SfsTCmVVvKJqrg2bWWc.htmI can see the 32k taken from my wallet ended up there by following the Blockchain from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/block.dws?171607.htmI've contacted Bittrex but they are claiming privacy reasons for not divulging anything. I'm not certain that this is a Bittrex wallet as it doesn't have a lot of withdrawls It only seems to be accumulating. While the loss of 15BTC worth of ARCH is personally disappointing what is the most disappointing is the response from the ARCH community. From the previous replys in this thread you can see how the common cry has been that it was my fault for not pass-wording the wallet. I accept this was an mistake on my part however it must pointed out that it is NOT a requirement to password the ARCH wallet. It is a recommendation only. The ARCH wallet does not enforce a password and this should be a minimum requirement BY DESIGN given the reoccurring thefts seen over the last 6 months from ARCH wallets and that ARCH Devs are obviously aware of. On the bright side I have found the ONE coin which actually takes users wallet very seriously! My twitter feed has a video showing a coin with real security features in action which make what happened to me impossible. Would you leave a safe closed but unlocked? It's no different than leaving a wallet unencrypted.

Thanks but to be fair you guys should answer the questions, you answered mine why not his? You do seem to be deleting his posts but leaving yours seemingly one sided as this poster James put. I was seeing the post he had. none of them came off as attacking of vulgar, I think his point is that he wants some clarity surrounding the team which I was also seeking but I was not treated with such disrespect. I will do my research into this James character and for the meantime I think it would be wise to just answer the questions but not avoid them?
I will ask for james then, is YESWECANN the main dev deltanine? I was assuming so since it seems to be the main poster of this thread but I also see dev d9 posting under a nickname this is even confusing for me since I am new.
None of this is any form of secret, having been hashed over many, many times. James and a whole plethora of his sock puppets have had all this explained many times in the past. That is some of the reason there is a zero-tolerance policy for the nuisance "questions" posed by James in any of his many guises. This was going to be much more comprehensive until I found out who I was responding to. This. I almost took it seriously until I looked at the activity. It's kind of like some sort of bizarre Salvador Dali type puppet show complete with melted clocks and grasshoppers.

Why the drastic decrease in price after the good news?
Sell on news. That's market sentiment.

What's the technical point of Arch Just hop down the MarketCap to get a perspective: - Ripple provides a reassuring bridge to fiat - Dash offers some much-needed anonymity - Bitshares brings a decentralized exchange - NXT is a revolutionary multi-coin wallet with integrated services ARCH on the other hand just sounds like an empty marketing stunt that will crash flat in a blink... Note: I haven't invested in any of those as they are overpriced for me. I'm rather into underdogs like Fibre. Simply put, Arch isn't a coin, it's an e-share in a real corporation.
